I would like to present updated soundtrack for Test Drive Unlimited Platinum. Thanks to Milli's work on this great mod, I worked on this fix with pleasure. Why and for what? Well, while playing TDU Platinum it seemed that some songs had very poor sound quality. They sounded wrong. Then, I discovered that some songs even had incorrect ingame names. So, as I knew how I could manage this, I made this fix. Features: -Updated music quality (MP3, 48,0 kHz, 320 kbps, Stereo). It was maxed out as possible to work ingame; -Corrected/added information about songs and its positions in .station files (file name, title, artist and album(radio name)); -"It just works". Download (982MB) is available on Google Disk. Instruction is included. What do you think about it? I will be glad to read your reviews. P.S. Also I think it would be great, if these fixed files were included in Platinum mod.

Hello again, this is Ztryka and I present to you my next mod for Test Drive Unlimited: The Immersive Radio Stations & Driving Games Soundtrack (DGST) Music Mod Pack introduces new radio stations based on real life O’ahu, Hawaii stations, including station IDs, call signs and station names, that plays along with songs based on other driving and racing games aside from TDU (excludes one station which more than half of the songs are based on real life top hit songs list of the decades). The idea of the mod is to bring the real life radio stations to Test Drive Unlimited gameplay and create an immersion of reality while driving around the island of O’ahu. Guide to Install the Music Mod for TDU: 1. Extract the files from the Zip file. 2. Open Test Drive Unlimited, then copy the folder "Euro". 3. Paste the folder to C : > (Your folder location of) Test Drive Unlimited (For example, in my case C : > Games > Test Drive Unlimited) 4. Press Yes if asked to replace the files. (BACKUP YOUR FILES BEFORE DOING THIS!!!) 5. Look into "For User Radio:" instructions below. For User Radio: 6. Go to Test Drive Unlimited > Euro > Radio. 7. Cut the folders "User Radio 1" to "User Radio 4". 8. Paste the folders to Documents > Test Drive Unlimited > savegame > "Your Profile Name" (in my case, ZtrykaTDU, for example) > Radio (create the folder of the same name if there is none) 9. Play TDU, Continue Game, Exit House and Enjoy! For more information regarding the music files, check the other files that included in the Zip File: * Description doc * Description pdf * New Stations List txt * In-Game Tracklist txt --- Ztryka --- Mediafire Mirror Download Link Available: http://www.mediafire.com/file/8l9bjt2yf3g1sae/TDU_Radio_Stations_%26_Music_Mod_Pack.rar/file Stock TDU Music Files: Vanilla: http://www.mediafire.com/file/6cvcie59cf97fyx/TDU_Vanilla_Music_Files.rar/file Platinum: http://www.mediafire.com/file/9w140fujphzfi6b/Platinum_Original_Music_Files.rar/file Topic:

This is my first mod, that I actually decided to publish, maybe some like it, maybe not. I would've also liked to change the Icon for Hariba Radio to PhonkRadio, but it didn't work and it just corrupted the whole HUD file, no genuine idea why, it looked like I did it normally, also I would've liked to change the actual song names, but sadly I don't know if I can do that.

  7. I'm wondering how I can use custom music for the menus in TDU2, because I listened to some of the menu songs from the PS2/PSP version of TDU1 and would like to use them as replacements for a few of the TDU2 menu/shop songs. For example, I want to replace the car dealer music (The normal song, not the classic dealer or used dealer one) in TDU2 with the song from TDU1 PS2/PSP used for the car dealers and garages, and the sticker shop music with the V-Rent music from TDU1 PS2/PSP. Here are the songs I'm looking for: TDU1 PS2/PSP Car Rental Music: TDU1 PS2/PSP Car Dealer/Garage music:

  9. View File TDU Lo-fi Soundtrack Replacer Hey there! I created a Soundtrack replacer pack for TDU. The pack contains Lo-fi music. The music has a kinda classy and relaxing feeling. There are still some tracks I need to change. Anyways, enjoy the pack! Instructions: 1.) Unpack the archive with any unpacker you like. (WinRAR, 7zip, ...) 2) Copy and paste the folder you extracted to your TDU Installation Directory. 3) Done! Submitter UltraXen Submitted 05/19/2020 Category Others / UI

  11. I had an idea. Since there are a good amount of musicians of various forms, I thought it would be a good idea to have this :D Post anything you've written, covered or played, if you want :p Singers are welcome too! Youtube video or just the sound, anything at all :) ---------- Post added 09-18-2012 at 12:02 AM ---------- Previous post was 09-17-2012 at 11:55 PM ---------- Example: Project1 by Mr Softie on SoundCloud - Create, record and share your sounds for free Something I've had in my head for months. Wish I could write lyrics :p
  12. That game literally shaped my interests in music today. Jazz and any sort of piano arrangements, I absolutely love. :) Can't say anything about the non-menu music in the game, though. Turned it off before the first time I raced. But seriously, the producers of the music in question had quite some talent.
  13. This is just my review of recent personal owned HD800, HE-400i, AD900X Since I have owned many other headphones currently and in the past, I feel that I should have a good taste of the audio world My desktop setup: P1 > M8 > VA2 This is the SMSL stack consists of power supply, DAC and AMP Sennheiser HD800 was widely regarded as world's best consumer headphone when it was released Til today it is still considered by many, the best dynamic headphone in the world Sennheiser is known for making legendary audiophile headphones like HD600 and HD650 despite those two being over 20 years old, many still recommend them as one of the best entry level Now back to the HD800 impressions The sound is crystal clear and accurate, use it to listen to music I have been listening for many time before and I would notice some details that I have never heard before Being a neutral headphone, suitable for almost any type of music No matter low, mid or treble, the headphone outputs amazing sound from whatever you throw at it This is very AMP picky headphone for very good reason, because it will show every single detail so having a bad source will give you same result (also poor recording as well) And I was skeptical when people told me you can hear the differences in bad recording VS master recording, I sincerely believe it now after listened to this phone even though you can drive it with your smartphone, but to get the best performance out of this pair of cans, you will need a dedicated setup HD800 A/B compare against HE-400i (It is not a fair comparison, more like if you upgrade here is the main difference you will get) First thing I noticed is HD800 opens up a huge sound-stage Despite both headphones are fully open back design, meaning if I talk to someone while having them on my head, I would be able to hear every single word like I am not wearing anything at all So in comparison, the HE400i sounds narrow both headphones have great charity but unlike the HE400i HD800 has very bright and energetic vocal In comparison, when female vocals reach their highest point, that impact is missing in the HE400i, while it is well presented in the HD800 at high frequency it might be little piercing for some but it all comes down to personal preference In regard to this, I have to talk a little bit about myself, I love Japanese Anime and the shows are very much female voice centered when I watch anime with HD800, those brightness piercing female voices sound extremely satisfying At comfort stage, HD800 is little lighter than HE400i in terms of weight However when I put it on my head, the comfort level is not just a little this is due to overall design of HD800 that evenly distributes its weight with headband and earpads it doesn't have the huge clamping force like HE400i Normally with other phones, you eye glasses bands with be pushed against your head and fixed at one location but due to the large ear cup and small clamp force, I am able to adjust my glasses with them on, however the small force still present If I wasn't wearing glasses, I would totally feel like the headphone melts on my head In terms of dimension, even though both are full size headphone, but HD800 ear cups are wider and longer than the HE400i When I try to watch Anime while laying my back against the back of my bed with resting pillow, I often find the HD800 hitting the pillow For those of you interested in major change between the HD800 and newly released HD800S at the whopping price tag of $1799 (other than the color of course) 1, the HD800S smooths out the somewhat piercing sound in the treble area 2, Improvement over bass Some example tracks: 虹の音 - 藍井エイル | Shirushi - LiSA : not sure if I can describe well, if you have heard both sounds, you would know the first song has a climax (high point) and there are two for the latter song, they sound very clear but not over piercing, HD800 reaches that highest treble at the exact right point before gets annoying My Treasure - 茅原実里 solo sounded as her voice bounce back in space So in the end, my favorite female vocal tracks sound very much alive and lovely satisfying Hifiman HE400i People would think entry level planar magnetic headphone is already mid-gear in audiophile headphones This is somewhat not true, at least to this date, Fostex has some sub 300 level planar cans that are beloved by modding community, although you can't find anything planar lower than that, that's why I said "somewhat", the price level is subjective after all HE400i A/B compare against AD900X Again, like the previous one, this is not very fair comparison because their price point is at different level The first thing I noticed is the big improvements over the low and mid range due to this sound signature, it is very good at genres like rock, jazz and male vocals Being a planar headphone, BASS of HE400i is in a huge lead does not come as surprise to me However, in contrast to the above difference, the highs of HE400i do not wow me It has very good clarity, but the female vocals sound flat, there is not particular bright point The sound stage is tight, especially after tried HD800 In terms of comfort, I think the AD900X wins here by being a much lighter headphone as I didn't feel any clamp force from the pads Audio Technica AD900X is probably the best value phone at its price point Due to Japan's pop and Anime culture, most of the Japanese headphones I have heard have done a wonderful job on trebles Among all those Japanese headphone companies, Audio Technica still stands out to be the top in regard to special tuning for female vocals Like the HE400i, the AD900X is particular good at certain genre of music (e.g Anime, female vocal, Orchestra) Due to the nature of open back design, AD900X lacks bass The highs sound fun, but low and mid are medieval core Because the nature of its sound signature, AD900X can be little fatiguing when listen over long period of time In terms of comfort, I think the self adjusting headband has done an amazing job The headphone feels plastic, but it is understandable for this price range I don't recall I have notice any big difference in how large the sound space is between the HE400i and AD900X In other words, AD900X has very wide sound stage as one of the selling points for its price In the end, I have settled with my HD800, is it worth? you might ask All I can tell you is, this picture summarized my feeling when I put the cans on I am planing to purchase desktop VR, can't wait to combo it with the HD800
  14. Everyone here has lived through the nineties (unless erm you're younger than 14 years old), and the nineties were ever such a long time away, so how about we do some reminiscing. Don't worry about which ones were the best (for now... we can do a poll later), just try to think of ones the rest of us may have forgotten. Make sure you include at least one ridiculous entry (ther more the better, there's plenty to choose from) :D Remember the 'max 3 embedded videos per post' rule too. Also don't anyone post scatman so that J can do it ;) Towards the late 90's we used to record the 'Video Hits' TV show to VCR, then play back the VHS tape and record our favourites to cassette so that we could listen to them in the car.... to think that nowadays you can ID (Shazam/SoundHound) and download/stream a new song on your phone within seconds. If you can, post the year of the song as well where the band is/was based. :) Let's start with: [headline]New Radicals - You Get What You Give [1998, California USA][/headline] [headline]Fastball - The Way [1998, Texas USA][/headline] [headline]Eiffel - Blue (Da Ba Dee) [1999, France][/headline] For a bit of extra fun, if you had to pick a modern artist/band to redo one of these 90's songs, who would you pick? i.e. when I was watching a few other videos I was thinking LMFAO could redo Smash Mouth's All Stars or Katy Perry could do Aqua's Dr Jones.
  15. Okay, is finally possible, in fact TDU2 is the perfect game to do this due to the fact that the Radio can be disconnected. First, you need to do this method for bringing the Steam Overlay ingame Second, you need to join the Steam Music group. By doing this you're applying for being in the Steam Music Beta, once you're in (you'll recieve a mail sooner or later and also you must be using the Beta client) the party can start. Now the tricky part. Once you have the Overlay script working (it may need a little tweaking) and you're in the Steam Music Beta you may have realised three things: 1.- Steam Music only works from Big Picture Mode 2.- The Script brings the normal Steam Overlay 3.- Classic Steam Overlay can not be switched to Big Picture on the fly To solve this, the Script must be added to the Steam Library, so we add a random .exe file (like, for example, the Universal Launcher), make a right click over the link, go to Properties -> Change and, by choosing a new archive, we change from exe files (*.exe) to All File and choose the script contained in the .bat file Now all that's left it's entering in Big Picture mode, launching the script, opening our music library from the overlay and playing our favourite discs. For me is Queen, MJ and Jon von Jobi aaaaall the way (Scissors Sisters too :3 )
  16. How to listen at your preferite songs in Tdu :fld::odance::bananadance::pdance: First of all , Go in your tdu folder where tdu is installed . double click on Euro same thing with the Radio folder ( double click) Now you have 4 stations right in front of you , double click on one of them ( for example radio djey) Now you can see there are many tracks ( usually 9 or 10) , these are the song you listen in the game. Now is simple , Take a song that you'd like to listen in tdu , copy it on the desktop , now rename it with the name of one of the tracks you found in ( for example) the djey radio folder ( be sure you rename Character by character don't lose anything even the space ) and replace the song you have renamed with the song in the djey folder , Now when you go play and you turn up the radio on that station , when it's the turn of the song you have replaced , you will recognize that is your song playing and not the replaced old song . P.s : If you don't hear anything when you turn up the radio and it's the turn of your song ( if you remember the name of the song you have replaced it will be easier ) , after have replaced the file , it's probably because you don't have the magic map installed , but I'm not shure . You can replace every song you want , but be carefull and rebot all the files . :duck::D

That's why I added another text area for Japanese translation (only for lyrics that are not in Japanese) -Confirmed there is an issue with source, embedding code from our music search engine has been disabled In addition to that, Facebook like and comments have also been dropped support from music system due to incompatibility !Fixed an issue in music search engine not opening the song page when there are white spaces in the song's name !Lyric record page display layout has been improved +Other minor changes

  21. I've been playing a lot of Guitar Hero/Rock Band lately and started wondering if there's anyone else here who likes playing music games :hmmm: You can pick up instrument bundles for pretty cheap nowadays as the fad has gone down after they stopped making new games. Unnecessary story to make OP cooler: So yeah, does ANYONE else here play them? :mhmm:
  22. I've read a discription about adding own music in to the game. This should be actually for this TDU2, but it doesn't worked. They say, that we must go to the savegame folder and create a folder called "RADIO". After that a custom station and put the music files in it. It can only play 32 files, but I don't have seen any changes. Can somebody tell it?
  23. Could we put musicin game? I tried like in TDU1 but don't work... Is there any way
  24. Hello every one! I dunno you know it or not(!), here is the tutorial of "How to add your own music to TestDrive Unlimited": Click to download, and remember it's by me! Please add your comment, but don't say that my English is bad! - cuz I know this! Regads. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) --
  25. Sure it sounds cheesy, but music is a part of life for most people. So instead of just posting what music you like how about signing up to Last.fm and letting people see what music you have been/are currently listening to. Just put a link to your profile in here and then we can discuss music in this thread. If you need to sign up click here And to view my profile click here Hopefully this will stimulate some good discussion on the worlds varying music taste's.
