  1. Houser Bros Dazzle With Secrecy Just like the usual proceedings of Rockstar, information about Grand Theft Auto 5 has been limited, to say the least. So far over a dozen screenshots and two trailers have been released over the course of not much but a year. Tight lipped as always, this should come as no surprise to those who have been long-time fans of the gaming franchise. To this date we know little of the plot, other than it involves money (which GTA game doesn't?) and it has not one, but three main characters. Ever a new spin put on an old favourite by the group over at Rockstar. It's an effective strategy, every time a single screenshot is released, the fans squeal with delight and start to deduce (much like Mr. Holmes himself) the great possibilities that this game could hold. From what we've seen thus far out of the screenshots and trailers, we can look forward to the very things that made Grand Theft Auto a household name. Planes and Jets make their return in the world of San Andreas and with the immense landscape that Rockstar has created, you're going to need them. We've also seen the return of bicycles, which were a popular favourite in the classic San Andreas, which still has a massive following. What we saw with GTA IV was a massive change in the landscape of what Grand Theft Auto had to offer us; we saw a new graphics engine, new physics, in fact the whole game was brand new. Long gone were the days of running over hookers or chainsawing someone in half during your stay in Vice City. The humility of the previous-gen games had shed it's shell and we stood staring at a much more serious, grown up Grand Theft Auto. GTA V seems to fix the problem that most gamers had with IV, it brings back some of the classic arcadey-ness that gamers loved from the previous gen, combining it with the best of what GTA IV had to offer. If this artwork and those to follow are any indication, the gaming industry will be alight when this game finally hits shelves sometime during Spring of this year. Will Rockstar make their usual decision of delaying their game to perfect it? Or will we actually be playing GTA V before E3 even arrives on our screens? Time will tell and until then, I'm sure the gaming community doesn't mind waiting for what will certainly be the Game of the Year. All artwork currently available for download at Rockstar Games website.
  2. Coooorrrvette! With the official unveiling of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray yesterday at the North American International Auto Show and the camouflaged prototype already being in GT5, it's little wonder that the actual car is coming to GT5 and it's coming fast, this Tuesday in fact. Yes from tomorrow you will be able to go to the PlayStation Store and download the car for FREE! Which is damn generous don't you think? Let's just hope the typical dire sounds of Gran Turismo do not rear their ugly head and that this brand new US Muscle icon is given the rapturous symphony that it deserves! Kazunori Yamauchi , President of Polyphony Digital. “The Polyphony team has had an unforgettable experience getting to know the Corvette Stingray, inside and out, and bringing it into Gran Turismo 5. We’re excited to share our experience with fans and let them feel, explore and drive the Corvette in a way that wasn’t possible until now.” [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5] Thanks. 3. Ultimate Speed A new DLC pack has been announced for Need for Speed: Most Wanted containing 25 new Events, 70 new Speed-themed Milestones and a Partridge in a Pear tree. I kid, there are no new events only Speed and Poultry. I'm Joe King of course, as naturally with it being a new DLC pack for the latest NFS you know that there is going to be a nice selection of what is usually the rarest and best-looking virtual carporn around and this pack does not disappoint in that area at all. As here is what you will be able to get your hands on by purchasing the pack, which comes in at a pricely sum of 800MSP on Xbox 360 or £7.99/$9.99/€9.99 on PSN and Origin from the 18th December. 2012 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse 2012 Lamborghini Aventador J 1995 McLaren F1 LM 2011 Pagani Zonda R 2012 Hennessey Venom GT Spyder - new Most Wanted rival Make trouble for the cops at over 240 mph and leave friends and rivals eating your dust. Hit the streets of Fairhaven City driving the fastest cars and competing in the most exciting events starting December 18 with the Need for Speed™ Most Wanted Ultimate Speed Pack, the game’s first downloadable content (DLC). This pack marks the start of Criterion’s ongoing, post-launch commitment to fueling social competition and rivalries. The Need for Speed Most Wanted Ultimate Speed Pack gives you all you need to take back the streets from your friends. With access to five of the fastest cars ever built, you’ll set faster times, blast through speed cameras at heart-pounding speeds and jump further through billboards, leaving your mark in your friend’s world. Included in the DLC is the Pagani Zonda R, McLaren F1LM, Lamborghini Aventador J and Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse. Test your driving skills in 25 new events spread throughout the city that have been built to push these cars to the limit. Then battle to takedown an all-new Most Wanted rival, the undisputed champion of raw speed: the Hennessey Venom GT Spyder. Take your advantage into multiplayer and embrace the speed by achieving more than 70 all-new speed-themed milestones to earn Speed Points and unlock the rewards necessary to give you the edge to dominate your rivals. Want to make sure you’re still on top of your Most Wanted list? Now you can stay connected to your game wherever you go with the Need for Speed Autolog App that will allow you to keep tabs on your friend stats, awards and game progress, comparing you to your friend’s to ensure you stay one step ahead of the competition. Autolog Recommends will let you know once a friend has taken down your high score in an event. Mark the recommendation on your app and load it up once you’re in the game. And if your current profile picture doesn’t scream “you’ve been owned”? Change it using the app. The Need for Speed Most Wanted Ultimate Speed Pack will be available on Xbox LIVE® Marketplace for 800 MS Points, the PlayStation®Network for £7.99/$9.99/€9.99 and Origin for £7.99/$9.99/€9.99 starting on December 18. The Need for Speed Autolog App is available now for free on the iTunes store.
  4. Hi Hi, Miss American Pie I apologise for the levy was dry pun up top but hey, coming up with these things is no easy feat all the time! Anyway onto the point of this post, the Corvette C7 spotted in the idle screens a few weeks ago appears to be coming to your copy of GT5 in the very very near future if rumours and TOP SECRET style shenanigans seem to suggest. What am I talking about with the covert speak? Well it appears the original find was on the Official EU PlayStation blog itself which was showing the below but has now since been removed *hmmm*: Gran Turismo 5 Corvette C7 Test Prototype ’13 Prices: Free Availability: All (releases 29th November) As you can see the price is set at FREE which is always a great thing to see as something for nothing is better than nothing for something after all. It is, honestly, just think about it. On top of this Jalopnik has posted the image below which shows a big massive plastering of the in-game car on the wall with "Get it today for FREE" scrawled upon it at the LA Auto Show which opens from tomorrow (29th). Interestingly enough, this GT5 booth is paired with the top of the range Thrustmaster T500 setup so here's hoping we get to see some videos of self-acclaimed driving gods flailing about all over the place in the coming days. If this turns out to be true then expect the official bells and whistles to commence from tomorrow. It is true and it's available on the PSN Store NOW! “Gran Turismo has had many firsts and we’re excited to partner with Chevrolet for yet another – bringing the first-ever Chevrolet prototype vehicle into a racing game,” said Kazunori Yamauchi. “As car enthusiasts, we’re thrilled to give fans this extraordinary level of access to the seventh generation Corvette that otherwise would not be possible.” UPDATE: Official Pics and Video added [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5" orderby="title]
  5. And it's go-go-good fun! Formula 1? Check. Real F1 drivers? Check. [super] Mario Kart style flashbacks? ABSOLUTELY!! Yes people 'F1 Race Stars' from Codemasters is the F1 game nobody wanted but everyone will probably love as it's blend of Official F1 licenses coupled with insanely fun courses will make this quite possibly the new party game to play when you've had a few drinks or can't be bothered playing your 245th game of Wii Sports Bowling with your mates. The demo takes place on the 'Germany' track and four playable F1 racers are available: Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and the ever animated Kimi Räikkönen*. You can either play it on your lonesome in single player or get a few mates round and have a 4-player #oldskool split-screen match. Don't believe us? Well feel free to go and download the demo on your Xbox 360 now (Gold only for now) with PC and PS3 coming tomorrow (Thursday 8th November). Go on, have some fun for a change and laugh at the cartoon representations of your favourite F1 star. *Rumours that Räikkönen smiles in this game are still to this point unfounded. F1 Race Stars launches for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 16th November, 2012.
  6. Burnout in Paradise If you haven't had a go of the latest offering of the Need for Speed series by developers Criterion then here is your chance, as the demo of the game is now available to download on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (no PC as usual). So if you want to see if the game carries on the legacy of the much loved original Most Wanted which was actually released this-gen believe it or not, well then go forth and compare to your hearts desire! It has to be said that many people who enjoyed Burnout Paradise have taken to this game well from the general views you can read around but for the #oldskool (that's before Underground!) NFS players, well you'll need to keep praying to the Gods that EA make your game another time. Go forth and get in a massive pursuit, I command thee.
  7. Whooooooooo are you? A post appeared on the well known and popular Gran Turismo fan community GT Planet by user jstickboy13 showing an off-screen photograph of a Camouflaged Corvette C7. As with everything on the internet, scepticism and 'FAAAAKKEEE' was quick to show itself as was the CSI forensic experts who were out with their Photoshop, changing the Brightness and Levels of the image to see if they could reveal the truth behind the image itself. This just made things even more inconclusive until a white knight ...well another member in fact, new at that too posted a video showing the spinning camouflaged Vette in all its glory. So people, thank edwinpr for the video below.
  8. i was playing tdu2 fine few hours ago but then all of a sudden the the green icon which tells your online went red. Is anyone else having problems or is it just me? thanks in advance for any support.
  9. If you remember back in 2011 there was a Japanese site where some images were found of the Range Rover and other in-game shots that we all enjoyed seeing. Well this same website has got a new section up showing off the DLC2 and it's contents with a release date of 29th May 2012 and something else shortly after for the PS3. Now the first DLC was delayed heavily for the PS3 due to something that was needing changed or was unapproved in respect to the Japanese edition so maybe, just maybe, this is there way of making peace. Probably not but hey from the look of it the Japanese community of players will also get their hands on the Casino and other DLC that has been withheld from this long so who knows what monsters are lurking in the swamp. How is that relevant to this? I don't know but all the same I need some cookies and FAST! :ilc: ##### UPDATE: GM.Jahia has confirmed it's true ##### Xbox 360: May 29th, 2012 - Worldwide PS3: * US - May 29th, 2012 * Japan - May 31st, 2012 * Europe - June 6th, 2012 Cyberfront.co.jp DLC2 Dated for Xbox 360 and PS3!

  11. Hello everyone. I am a new member here and I'd like you help me! I was playing the game when the electricity failed! I was saving a race (that I won:lol:). Then I start the game again and it said that I have nothing on the HDD and I needed to start the game again by erasing what I had. And now it seems I lost everything I had! Can anyone help me?
  12. We all know there are big releases that have their own massive following and such but what about the games that just sneak up out of nowhere or a trailer you have seen that's caught your eye. Perhaps a game was announced 2 or more years ago and you are hoping 2012 will be the year it will finally show more. If any of this describes you or you just want to talk about or give a heads-up about a game you like the look of then feel free to do so. Who knows maybe you'll alert us to a cult classic or a diamond in the rough. As after all we're not all FPS muppets or diehard racing fish. :D
  13. Just saw the trailer of this on Gamersyde and I'm wondering how it's just managed to sneak up on me what with it's release being next month! Trailer is epic, that song just fits perfectly don't you think?

The PS3 experience is about more than just games; it’s also about movies, pictures, music, video and more. Following on from the success of the last enhancement to the service, version 2.60 is available to download from January 21, 2009 and comes with a host of new features that will give PS3 owners an even better experience. You can also create a playlist of selected photos and select a photo frame for the playlist, which can also be played with your own music tracks – ideal for saving your family or holiday photos in a way that’s simple to access and easy to enjoy. But the new features don’t end there: Sony Computer Entertainment have now added the ability to play DivX 3.11 encoded video files – great for reliving some of those hilarious home video moments. It’s all very simple, just go to the BBC iPlayer homepage to access the PS3 version. Now, as PS3 Fanboy points out, catching up with Merlin, Nevermind the Buzzcocks and Heroes has never been easier. Here’s to many nights of watching TV you missed yesterday because you were busy watching something from the day before! In all seriousness though, the iPlayer has only ever been held back by being only available on your computer, and now you have it on your TV. What could be better? from threespeech
22. New info on the firmware updates for PS3 and PSP… 14 Oct No doubt you’re already aware of (and excited about) the latest firmware updates for PS3 and PSP. We’ve just had some information on both updates in from SCEE, so please click through to find out more and let us know what you think about all the new functionality. London, October 14, 2008 – Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced details of the next PLAYSTATION®3 (PS3™) and PSP®(PlayStation®Portable) system software updates, adding new features to both platforms to benefit consumers. The PS3 firmware update (v. 2.50) will include the implementation of advanced voice chat features for the PS3 official wireless headset, the ability to capture screenshots in-game with supporting titles in the future, and Trophy enhancements, among other new features. The PSP firmware update (v. 5.00) will add direct access to PlayStation®Store on PSP, enabling consumers to browse the store and download games whenever they’re at a Wi-Fi hotspot. Both system software updates will be released on 15th October. PLAYSTATION®3 Firmware 2.50 Update Building upon the foundation set by previous firmware upgrades, the 2.50 system software update will refine existing features while also adding new functionality. The update will deliver exclusive options to support the official wireless headset, as previously announced, such as an on-screen indicator that shows volume, battery charge, and mute functions, as well as a High Quality (HQ) mode, which utilises advanced wireless technologies and the Headset’s dual-microphone design to enable clear and wide-band wireless voice communication with PS3 system. HQ mode greatly improves the voice chat experience in multi-player titles such as Resistance 2, which launches in November. To further strengthen the gameplay experience on PS3, the firmware update will add an in-game screenshot capture tool, laying the groundwork for developers to add capture and sharing options to their games and allowing players to immortalise their favourite gaming moments and share them with friends. Titles that support the feature will be announced in the future. The 2.50 update will also enhance the user interface for PS3 Trophies. When players acquire a Trophy, the in-game notification will now include the specific Trophy icon created by the developer, while more intuitive options for comparing Trophies with friends have been added, including an icon to represent each Trophy level. The Trophy system will continue to expand through future firmware updates, catering to the PS3 community and the competitive nature of the more than 12 million registered PlayStation Network users worldwide. Other new features delivered through PS3 2.50 will include: • Video – Video scene search functionality will provide thumbnails to help you find a particular scene in a video more easily. • Information Board – The Information Board will be able to include direct links to PlayStation Store, making it easier for PS3 owners to download content that they read about on the Information Board. • Power save – PS3 owners will have the option to automatically shut-off their console or controllers after pre-selected periods of inactivity. • Flash 9 content becomes supported on the Internet Browser. PSP Firmware 5.00 Update The PSP Firmware 5.00 update will add direct PlayStation Store access to the system, eliminating the need for PSP to be connected to a PC or PS3 to download content. PSP owners will be able to download games, demos, trailers, and other game-related content anytime and anywhere that their PSP is connected to the Internet via Wi-Fi. This functionality delivers on the portable promise of PSP, making the device even more compelling for gaming and entertainment on-the-go. Additional enhancements delivered through PSP 5.00 will include: • On-screen keyboard – A full-size, on-screen keyboard will be added to make text entry during Web browsing easier and more convenient. • Sleep timer – During music playback, a sleep timer will enable users to shut off their PSP after a specified amount of time. • Video-out – The PSP-2000’s video-out feature will be able to display PlayStation format software (classics titles) at the full-screen size of the TV that the PSP is connected to; the feature will also support interlace displays. The highly anticipated Wireless Keypad is designed to fit precisely into the unique shape of SIXAXIS and DUALSHOCK 3 wireless controllers, and can be easily attached or removed. By using the product instead of the on-screen keyboard, users will be able to enjoy text chat communication more easily and comfortably in their hands, just as they would use familiar portable communication devices. It supports text chat in PlayStation®Home as well, and enables users to enjoy interactivity playing on-line titles and enjoying entertainment content more smoothly. Equipped with Bluetooth® functionality, the Wireless Keypad can be paired to PS3 by simply connecting the keypad to the USB cable that comes bundled with the PS3 system. Also, two shortcut buttons, a Communication Button and a Message Box Button, are placed on the lower part of the Wireless Keypad, enabling users to jump to pre-set features on XMB™ (XrossMediaBar) such as “Friends” and “Message Box” during game play, which help PS3 users to smoothly communicate with each other. Additionally, a Touch Pad Button allows PS3 users to use the entire surface of the keypad as a touch pad, allowing them to easily maneuver the pointer while web browsing, simply by sliding their finger on the keypad surface. Wireless Keypad For PLAYSTATION®3 To Be Introduced This Holiday Season Worldwide More and more exclusive software titles that will support text chat feature are scheduled for release towards the end of the year including LittleBigPlanet™ (SCEI). 25. Old news probably but for those of you who don't know the original SIXAXIS PS3 controller has finally stopped production and the DUALSHOCK 3 has now taken over. For those of you who don't know why the dualshock was not released when the PS3 was heres why. Basically Sony did not own the rights to the Dualshock name as it was made by a company outside of Sony. Now after a long legal battle Sony have now released the dualshock 3 worldwide. Heres some vids I stumbled across of reviews and other info on the new controller. Not all games are compatable but MGS is one that is compatable. http://www.dualshock3rumble.com/ The Dualshock 3 has only been available worldwide since the beginning of June and the original SIXAXIS production stopped in April.
