  1. No News Is Good News? Hello Friends! Let us get straight to the meat of the situation today, there is still no news at all about the new NASCAR game that's “supposedly” in development by the new developers Dusenberry Martin Racing (Dmi). This will be the first game that Dmi will be making in the franchise and is looking to be a welcome change as previous developers Eutechnyx's games were riddled with bugs, making the series unplayable for many. What is Dmi? Well to put it plainly, their CEO's Tom Dusenberry and Ed Martin are both responsible for running previous iterations of the NASCAR games. Dusenberry previously headed up the NASCAR Heat games, a high point in the franchises history; Martin himself was a previous executive at Papyrus (the original NASCAR game developers), Atari and EA Sports (of whom held the NASCAR license from 1996 until 2009). So why no news? Why are we left in the cold? The only answer we've been given is that Dmi has been hard at work fixing all of the mistakes and bugs in NASCAR '15 which was originally done by Eutechnyx. They have confirmed that NASCAR '16 will be coming out in 2016 for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and for PC and that is all the news we've gotten. They've also stated that the game would be far more simulation than the previous entries into the franchise – notably those made by Eutechnyx, which had an extremely arcade handling system. We are still early into the year, so here is hoping we get some news soon – those of us who are NASCAR fans have been waiting for a true experience for a very, very long time. 2. StanceWorks And The Twisty Roads Of Scotland Come To Project CARS The latest upcoming release as part of the On Demand program from Slightly Mad Studios is an exciting one. This will mark the 7th pack to bring new cars to the game, and the 4th containing a new track. This month, the madness of StanceWorks comes to pCARS in the form of two epic BMWs, and as if that's not enough you'll also get a side order of Scotland's best roads. The Cars BMW 2002 Inspired by the legendary FIA cars, the 2002 features Group 2 bodywork with boxed fenders, nixed bumpers, and M1 Procar-inspired mirrors. The paintwork rocks a Lowly Gentlemen livery. For shoes, only the best Fifteen 52's forged 3-piece Integrale SC wheels. Inside, the car is stripped out, with only a set of vintage bucket seats, a true to form roll cage, and a MOMO steering wheel. The only sign of luxury in this beast is the Alpina-style gauges. Under the hood you'll find a BMW M12 engine, quite literally a Formula 2 engine, pushing out 260 of Germany's finest horses at an insane 8000rpm. BMW 1M A sort-of spiritual successor to the classic 2002, StanceWorks turned the 1M into a purpose-built, GT3-inspired racer. The bodywork is inspired by other GT3 monsters from the BMW line-up, such as the E92 M3 GT3, Z4 GT4, and M6 GTLM. It features a hungry-looking, massive front splitter, a not-so-subtle rear diffuser with four fire breathing exhausts, and the wing of a 777 on the rear giving a massive downforce of 350lbs at 150mph. Under the body sits a set of Fifteen 52 Formula LTW. Much like the 2002 the 1M's interior is completely stripped and set up for racing with some bucket seats, full cage, and a Motec display. Under the hood remains the original 1M engine, a 3.0 litre turbocharged straight 6. However, thanks to the addition of a new intercooler, exhaust and higher manifold pressure, the 1M is now making 460 horsepower. And to deal with all that extra oomph you get bigger brakes and H&R Coilovers to sharpen that handling. Also coming to Project CARS is Mad Mike's RADBUL Mazda MX-5, the KTM X-Bow R, and the Ford Falcon V8 Supercar as a free car. More details on these next week. The Track Also coming in this month's DLC is the long awaited, years-in-the-making Scottish Track. Named Bannochbrae and seen in the photos of the StanceWork's beemers, this track is a fictional road that gives you a taste of the best driving roads in Scotland. Long, winding roads, twisty bends, hairpins, and scenery that will make you think you're watching Game of Thrones. The pictures are reminiscent of the iconic Loch Ness, even showing a building that looks similar to Urquhart Castle. We can't wait to see it in person.. digitally. Check out the rest of the pictures below and feel free to join us in the forums and let us know your thoughts! 3. AC Real Driving Simulator PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players will be thrilled to hear that a release date for the console version of Assetto Corsa has been revealed, and that date is April 22nd, 2016. The acclaimed simulation racer developed by Italian developer Kunos Simulazioni will be published by 505 Games for the console and will bring what many console players have been aching for - a proper hardcore racing simulation on par with those found on PC. The announcement comes in the form of a trailer that focuses on the insane Ferrari FXX K, which in itself is the cover car for the Assetto Corsa console retail releases and will mark the debut of the super-exclusive Maranello racecar in the game. And you can be safe in the knowledge that the content that has been released and come to PC will also be there on PS4 and Xbox One, with 505 Games (who should know right?!) confirming the Dream Packs, Bonus cars, laser-scanned tracks and everything else that has so far come to the PC will be there for the console too. The game will ship with over 90 cars from the everyday road-going to prototype racers and over 20 tracks, with locations including firm favourites Spa-Francorchamps, Monza, and Nürburgring-Nordschleife. Kunos is prioritising 60fps and indications point at PS4 being 1080p and Xbox One 900p. This is a game that's more gameplay over graphics anyway and to finally be getting a hardcore sim-racer that hasn't been completely neutered back on consoles is good to see. Key Features Tailored to perfection - Over eighty cars are available to choose from, plus special editions, reproduced in collaboration with the most prestigious automotive manufacturers, each one authentic and unique in both characteristics and handling. Legendary Circuits including Silverstone Circuit, Monza, and Nürburgring-Nordschleife, all recreated using Laser Scan technology so that each bump, curb and slope is a perfect match to the real counterpart. Precision Physics bring a new dimension to the car and track, from tyre flat spots & heat cycles to the dynamic simulation of the tyre rubber deposited on track and recreated light conditions based on geographical coordinates. Multiple Race Modes include Career mode, special and unique events and challenges. Fully customizable single player and multiplayer modes include quick races, race weekends including free practice sessions, qualifying session, drag races, drift challenges and more! Tuning & Driver Assist profiles allow the overall racing experience to be further modified by adjusting everything from car attributes to collision damage to let players of any proficiency with a joypad or supported racing wheel. As is customary these days you will ecstatic to hear that there is a Pre-order promo for Assetto Corsa on consoles, do this and you will get yourself the Performance Pack for free, which includes these three cars: Ferrari 488 GTB Audi R8 V10 Plus Chevrolet Corvette C7 But wait a minute here! The Audi was a free bonus for the PC not too long ago so could that mean the other two are coming to PC as bonus cars too, or has some of the content been given the old switcheroo between the platforms?
  4. [headline]4 Days Into 2016 and PSN Has Fallen Over Already![/headline] Well, there's not really much to say about this is there? PSN has gone down again and the communication from Sony/PlayStation has been pretty much none existent with just generic messages on the PSN status page and a single tweer from the AskPlayStation account. It's not the end of the world but the lack of communication from them like every other time doesn't get any less annoying! How hard is it to give a proper update!? [ATTACH]24588[/ATTACH] Kinda regretting renewing my PSN+ a week ago. :(
  5. Is This an Early Christmas Present From Evolution Studios? There's not really much to say about this one other than just watch. The 360° video is best viewed on a smartphone/tablet where you control the video by moving the device around. I wouldn't recommend watching it out in public though as you may inadvertently hit somebody in the head. You've been warned. Let us know what you think! I for one hope that there is more to come.
  6. Is it Fixed? Yes it is! The first official patch for Just Cause 3 is rolling out in Europe for the PS4 this evening with the other regions along with Xbox One and PC starting tomorrow. Significantly improved loading times Optimizations to online stats General stability fixes Fixed an issue related to challenges, wherein vehicles sometimes disappeared when starting a challenge Fixed issues related to screen resizing and closing the game window before the game has fully started up [PC ONLY] They have also given a couple of tips that they hope will help players who have been struggling with the game. The main one being that chaos items when taking over a town or a base appear on the map screen. So if you're struggling with that last billboard or speaker tower you now know where to go!
  7. It's A Winter Wonderland In DiRT Rally! Christmas comes early as DiRT Rally's full release comes to Steam, following the massively successful Early Access release. DiRT Rally has been a massive hit, even in an uncompleted Early Access state. No doubt this is due to it's old-school, Colin McRae Rally like gameplay. Rally fans finally got what they've been wanting for years, pure rallying on the tightest and most challenging roads. Since the April 2015 Early Access release, players have driven over 90 million kilometers (that's about 60 million miles) and raced 3 million clean stages. Now, the full version and official release comes to Steam, with a console release date set for April 5th 2016. In the spirit of the giving season, with the full release Codemasters are also giving players the Winter Wonderland pack. Today's update brings the snow-covered roads of Sweden to the game, with hand-selected stages to give players the best experience. On the winter roads of Sweden, Codemasters' pioneering soft-touch technology is critical here to give the soft snowy banks a realistic feeling of density and accurate effects on the car's physics, allowing you to lean into them and push out of them when you're really pushing hard. As well as the snowy lands of Sweden, two recent additions to the modern-day rallying scene come to DiRT Rally, the Hyundai i20 Rally and Volkswagen Polo Rally. If you haven't yet bought DiRT Rally, here's why you should. DiRT Rally features over 40 of the most exciting rally cars in history, from the Austin Mini to the Subaru Impreza. There are over 70 rally stages, such as tight twisty forests, muddy grip-less Welsh stages, narrow mountain roads, ice-covered roads with death-defying drops in Monte Carlo, and more. Nothing will give you a more thrilling and challenging rally experience. Join us in the forums to let us know if you agree. 9. An Adventure Through The Commonwealth I am 50 hours into Fallout 4, I have beaten the main storyline not once, but twice and one would think that after such a period that I've finally found enough of my time to come write this review. This is absolutely not the case, I wish nothing more than to be playing Fallout 4 rather than sat here writing these words. Despite closing off the main story line (which is much longer than I had expected) twice, I still find myself wanting to go back and explore every inch of the world that Bethesda has hand-crafted. Let's delve into what it's like during the first 50 hours and for those of you who haven't played - this is an entirely spoiler free/honest review of my experience with Bethesda's new offering. Let me begin by saying that Metacritic is not an informed place to make a decision on purchasing a video game. I say this due to the abhorrent reviews that Fallout 4 has received since it's launch with many players choosing to give Fallout a 0/10 which has completely bombed the overall score; no game deserves a 0/10 - no matter how completely disgusting it may be. Therefore take the following images with a grain of salt - the professional reviews have a much higher score than the user reviews, as you can see with your special, special eyes. At the beginning of Fallout 4, you glimpse into the world of 2077, the year the bombs dropped and The Great War began - for reasons I'll leave out (spoilers!) you wake up 200 years later after exiting Vault 111. The first thing you notice about Fallout 4 is that, unlike predecessors, this game is vibrant and full of colour. The vibrance does not stop at the colour scheme, immediately upon being thrust into this new wasteland you notice all of the nuances that make it a Fallout game. The songs on the radio, the characters you meet, the places you visit all feel familiar but they don't feel re-used which is a trap Bethesda games usually fall victim to. Speaking of traps that Bethesda games fall victim to, gun physics in previous iterations have been clunky. This time around Todd Howard looked to other games for inspiration: "In a new story by Game Informer, “The Making of Fallout 4,” director Todd Howard admitted that Destiny was a perfect template because it shares some crucial technical similarities to Fallout 4. Specifically, how Destiny presents action at 30fps, the exact framerate that Fallout 4 will run. Bethesda also hired former Bungie developer Josh Hamrick to concentrate “intently on tuning firearms." Source Bethesda's new acquisition proved to be a success as each gun in Fallout 4 has its own weight and feel to it as you shoot; this, along with all of the modifications you can make to the guns included in the game, will have you testing what works best for you long into the span of the game. Leaving out the Main Storyline, the side quests for the games 4 factions along with the all new Settlement Builder feature (think The Sims: Wasteland / Junk Scavenger 2015) will keep you busy until the DLC comes out starting in early 2016 and Mod support coming to Xbox One/PS4 in 2016 as well: “Just like Skyrim, there are mods that can break your game pretty wildly, and so we have some safety things on the console for that, but at the same time, we are going to let people break their game,” game director Todd Howard explained to IGN. Source The Settlement Building is the dark horse in Fallout 4, initially it didn't appeal to me all that much - however once I began to build, the rest of the game became extremely unimportant to me. Needless to say I spent four hours building a castle and then realized I ran out of components to build with. Finally, all of the discarded coffee cups and wrenches you run into have use as you can scrap them down into materials to build a settlement for the settlers of The Commonwealth. Allow me to finish with this: Fallout 4 is not Fallout 3. It is not New Vegas. And yet, it feels like an extension of those games - it takes the good parts of previous iterations and improves upon MOST (famous Bethesda bugs not withstanding) of the issues that plagued the series in the past. If you are a fan of Fallout, you may not like this game, simply for the fact that it is indeed, different. If you have never played Fallout in your life I encourage you to give it a chance - in fact even if you have played Fallout I encourage you to give this game the time to grow on you before you give it a 0/10 rating. With that said and done Fallout 4 gets a 9/10 - do you agree? Oh yeahs! New gun physics bring new life to fights Features like Settlements add new gameplay elements Mods coming to console Oh bollocks! The normal glitchy Bethesda offering Companions have little back-story What do you like/dislike about the game? Let us know below or on the forums! 10. DRIVECLUB Future? It's been over a year since Evolution Studios released Driveclub and what a year it has been for them and indeed for us gamers. They did however make a complete hash of the release as the game was plagued by server issues for several months. But they kept their heads down and made a damn good game in the process. In the past year, over 50 new cars have been added to the game, more than doubling the car list, a handful of new tracks have been added and graphical updates that brought us the spectacular weather amongst other things in a mix of both free and paid for updates. Not to mention that the season pass offered exceptional value for money [caption id=attachment_3521" align="aligncenter" width="800] They even simulate double rainbows[/caption] But where can Evolutions Studios go next? Game director of Driveclub, Paul Rustchynsky has been dropping a few hints on Twitter about the future of Driveclub. Here's what he's had to say recently. I'm keeping my hopes up for a second season pass as I can't wait to sink my teeth back into this game!

  12. Low Rider, High Spender GTA V has been out for a while, but luckily Rockstar decides to update the game once in a while with new content and challenges to make you visit Los Santos again. This time, a new FREE DLC has been released with a strong focus on vehicles. Before we look at the DLC, a warning might be in the right place here for those who play on Xbox 360 or PS3. Rockstar already announced a while ago that they would eventually stop bringing new content to those two consoles because of their hardware capacity. Well, that time has come. From this DLC onwards, you’ll need the PC, Xbox One or PS4 version to play with the new content. Enough about limits, back to possibilities. Enter Strawberry, a lower-class industrial and residential area in Los Santos. Few people live here though, industry rules most of the property here and whoever does live here most likely had no choice. But we’re not interested in Franklin, or whoever lives here, we’re interested in somebody who bought a big building so he could spray the front of it with bright colors, fancy letters and weird characters. His name is Benny, and he is the new customizer in town. You will be introduced to Benny and his shop by Lamar. He will call you to do a mission which starts and ends at Benny’s Original Motor Works. After that introduction, there will be more missions Lamar will have ready for you to invest in ammo for. Benny’s Original Motor Works is a new shop that specializes in low-riders. Don’t look for racing kits or off-road enhancements, this is not Los Santos Customs. What you can buy from Benny looks special and sounds special. [caption id=attachment_3330" align="alignnone" width="800] Meet Benny, the new customizer in Los Santos[/caption] Benny likes to keep his work exclusive though, and you can reach exclusivity easily through two factors: availability and pricing. Yep, it’s not available for every car. Benny's first principle of exclusivity teaches that he only works on 6 cars of which 2 are new: the Declasse Moonbeam (with sliding doors!) and the Willard Faction (Buick Regal GNX). The 4 existing ones you can customize are the Vapid Chino, Albany Primo and Buccaneer and Declasse Voodoo. The cars can be bought through Benny’s own website for prices from $5500 to $225,000. [caption id=attachment_3326" align="alignnone" width="800] All 6 cars you can customize in Benny's shop.[/caption] Then comes the fun and slightly awkward bit. You can’t just drive in and upgrade. Nope, Benny needs a custom vehicle base to start with, hence why you have to upgrade the car to a 'Custom' version. This is where you meet Benny’s second principle of exclusivity: prices that make you pull your hair out. Although in all honesty, Benny prefers cash or credit cards rather than hair. [caption id=attachment_3321" align="alignnone" width="800] Yep, you have to spend this money before customizing a car.[/caption] After upgrading your car to a Custom version, which adds stuff like new wheels and a base hydraulics system, you can start customizing the car. The DLC has added over 30 new wheels which are only available through Benny’s shop, as well as a lot of new ways to change your ride. Liveries with pin-striping and complex graphics, improved sound systems, various interior options, bobbleheads, hydraulics and even a set of wheels the LNER Mallard engineers could only dream of. You don’t have to choose Benny’s low-rider wheels though, all the other wheels in the game are also available to choose, including custom tires (several types of whitewalls!) and the big color choice for the rims. [caption id=attachment_3325" align="alignnone" width="800] Steam engines would be happy to get those[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3319" align="alignnone" width="800] You can change interior designs and colors.[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3320" align="alignnone" width="800] One of the optional hydraulic systems[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3318" align="alignnone" width="800] Engines can be fitted with valvecovers, turbochargers and airfilter housings.[/caption] Thankfully the DLC is not just pure low-rider parts, but a combination of new content, fixes and new features. The Interaction menu has been expanded and now allows for instant purchase of ammo. No body armor though, that you will still have to buy at your authorized Ammunation retailer. There are 2 more new features in the interaction menu, both vehicle related. You can now get out of the car, turn the engine on, turn the headlights on and even choose the radio channel that should be played. All of that as a bit more immersion for the low-rider show-off. You can also open doors, trunks and bonnets, all at a time or independently from each other. That way you can actually show those engraved air filter housings, or that neon-illuminated sound setup. And for a change, these features are not just exclusive to the 6 low-rider cars… [caption id=attachment_3322" align="alignnone" width="800] An example of a custom Primo[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3331" align="alignnone" width="800] Opening cars remotely works on all vehicles you own.[/caption] In addition, the DLC now allows you to own a fourth property. Don’t mix this up with an actual new mansion or something being added, you can just buy a fourth apartment or garage from the ones already available. In my opinion this is a neat DLC but at the same time perhaps a frustrating one. At least let’s put it this way: you have reasons to spend in-game money again. The available options for the 6 cars Benny will work on come in huge numbers so there’s always a combination you’ll like. It’s nice to own four properties now and the Inventory allowing you to buy ammo directly is a useful support in those tight situations. At the same time though, I wonder why Rockstar went so far with all those customization options only to limit it to 6 cars. They also chose a weird combination of those 6 vehicles since there is a van in Benny’s list but not a Tornado or Peyote. I’m also sure a lot of owners of sports cars and luxury cars would like to change the interior colors or add some new engine parts. Maybe this is something that will be added later, if the Banshee, Peyote and Cheetah in the shop are anything to go by. Happy Halloween! The Low-rider DLC also prepared GTA Online for the just-released Halloween update. This adds 2 more vehicles: the Franken Stange hotrod and the Lurcher Hearse. Note that these two are cars for Los Santos Customs, so don’t expect Benny to do his magic on these. The update also adds dozens of new masks and facepaints as well as a flashlight which can be bought from Ammunation. Yes, it’s a weapon too, one strike to the head takes half your health away. [Ed - guess you could say it makes you light-headed!] The Low-rider DLC and the Halloween DLC are free updates for GTA Online only and is for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
  13. PRIVATE LOBBIES (Quiet!) DRIVECLUB Private Lobbies are finally coming! One of the main features that many players have been begging the Evolution Studios gods for -- since the initial release -- is due next week along with a new 'Braking Assist' option for the slow 'this is too hard' players to get the help they need in order to progress. Coming directly from the twitter of DRIVECLUB's Game Director, Paul Rustchynsky this announcement continues to show how dedicated the team are and how they are still doing their best to deliver community and fan wishes, even if they may take an age to arrive. j/k!
  14. Coolio Runnings https://youtu.be/vLQGXHy5m6Y Need for Speed is back, and it is ready to party! After a year off from the usual release routine Ghost Games is giving the formula a swift kick up the diffuser and punching out the features further than a Rocket Bunny widebody kit. Returning heavily to its roots and taking large chunks of inspiration from what has made the NFS games great over their time, we have ended up with an urban car culture street racer that has thankfully not forgotten the oldskool charm that it started with. Those of you who remember the Underground games may shriek in delight at the sheer amount of customisation and mess you can do to your car in this new one, whereas others such as me, myself and I remember the horror of no supercars, being forced to destroy the looks of your vehicle in order to progress and the complete lack of Chief Wiggum's associates. The original Most Wanted fixed that and is in fact one of my all time favourites of the series. This new one, it includes supercars, street cars, cops and customisation. In essence there is something in it for every fan young and ancient wise, the only ones who may find issue is those who like daylight as the game is set in a permanent twilight which in our opinion means your crew could quite possibly be a bunch of vampires. After you've checked out the official trailer above be sure to check out our DUB Out on November 3rd on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this is a game that should, if it does what it looks to be doing, go down well in Need for Speed history.
  15. ON YOUR BIKE CLUB A number of hours ago PEGI published a record for a new game called 'DRIVECLUB Bikes' (some Sony muppet also posted images showing DRIVECLUB Bikes on the official PlayStation Blog Flickr). And would you believe it, it turns out that it was in fact true. Announced and shown during the Sony conference at Paris Games Week was DRIVECLUB Bikes. Now if you are an idiot you will need me to tell you that this means that bikes have come to DRIVECLUB. Offerings from the likes of Kawasaki, Yamaha, KTM, MV Agusta and Ducati are available for you to play out your own high-speed weaving through environments in all weathers fantasies, without the fear of ending up on your arse or being in a complete plaster body cast that is seen in cartoons. FEATURES 12 of the world’s best superbikes: Featuring bikes from top manufacturers including Yamaha, Ducati, Kawasaki, Honda, BMW, and more. Full Bikes Tour campaign: We’ve designed a new game mode and loads of events to help you get to grips with bikes and ultimately challenge you to master every superbike in the game. Unlimited Challenges: Create and compete in new challenges to show off and test your speed, agility, and skills with bikes. Personalised events: Create your own events on any track, in any mode, at any time, and with near limitless weather conditions. Multiplayer racing: Take advantage of the extra space on every track with opportunities to overtake on every corner in heated wheel-to-wheel action. Customisation: Personalize your bikes and your rider, including paint jobs, rider leathers, and custom helmets. Clubs: Everything you do in Driveclub Bikes contributes to the success of your Club, unlocking new rewards, accolades, customization and challenges. Being from the meticulous mad sods at Evolution Studios (Evo) you know these bikes are going to look the business. Everything about the real thing is recreated in and on the digital version and should you feel the urge tomorrow to go to a moped store tomorrow and buy one, you can be safe in the knowledge that the dials and gauges you will see on the real thing will be exactly as they were in the game; meaning there should be no embarrassing moments of crying when you see something different to what the game has. Even more insane is that the video was a Sega Saturn moment from Sony and Evo, as the update, both available in standalone and a DLC, was available right after shortly not long within an hour of when they said it would be. ;) If you love DRIVECLUB get this, if you love bikes get this, if you... hell just get it ok! Check out some of the Evo lot talking about the Bikes update. 16. GT SPORT The PlayStation conference at Paris Game Week has finished and with it we got our first look and information about Gran Turismo SPORT for PlayStation 4. The next instalment in the GT series, due in 2016 (we'll see) is taking full advantage of their partnership with the FIA (Federation Internationale de l'Automobile) and will have players competing in year-long championships with their favourite manufacturers and racing for their own country's honour. And In a first for video game racing, it is said that the winners will be awarded their spoils in the same manner as real world motorsport champions at an FIA prize giving ceremony. FIA Gran Turismo Championships In Gran Turismo Sport, there will be two online championships officially sanctioned by the FIA (Federation Internationale de l’Automobile) running simultaneously. In the Nations Cup, players will be able represent their home country. Whilst in the Manufacturers Cup, players will be driving on behalf of their favorite car manufacturer. Players will not only be able to race as drivers themselves, they’ll also be able to root for their home country or their favorite manufacturers teams. The winner of the championship will be awarded in the same manner as real life motorsports champions, at the FIA prize giving ceremony. This will be a historic moment, the first time a video game will officially be recognised as part of the real motoring world. The usual graphical, audio and physics updates were mentioned and it is not clear at this time how many cars will be in or if we will see the 'standards' return (hope not!), but what we do know is it looks damn good, it showed us some great looking cars and one driver had a very very shiny helmet. A Beta for GT Sport is due in Spring 2016. Thanks: PlayStation Blog | gran-turismo.com [yop_poll id=1]
  17. Fancy a Group Ride? European rating provider PEGI recently published a new record for a game titled 'DRIVECLUB Bikes'. Although it has since been taken down, it did not go unnoticed. This is not entirely surprising, given Evolution Studios history in the MotorStorm series, not to mention their earlier this year which added a MotorStorm Buggy to the DRIVECLUB car list. Game Director Paul Rustchynsky has also been promoting a PlayStation event at Paris Game Week on Twitter, which may play host to the rumoured announcement. So if you are lacking the required licence and equipment, you may still yet be able to experience the thrill of a group ride virtually. Just make sure the host selects sunny weather! Media If you are not a member of the PlayStation 4 community, you may be interested in The Crew: Wild Run, due out November 17, 2015. Thanks, Gematsu!
  18. NEED M POWER CAPTAIN The BMW M2 Coupé has only recently been unveiled to the world officially but already we are hearing that we will be driving it in Need for Speed in November. Making its gaming debut in the NFS reboot, the M2 has been given a trailer where we see it tearing up the streets of Ventura Bay with more of the M Power family. Accompanied by the legendary E30 M3, E46 M3 (original Most Wanted fans rejoice!), E92 M3 and the not too long on the scene M4, the cars race, slide and even stop in a tunnel to give you a smile. Pumping out 370bhp/272kW and throwing out a peak torque output of 343 lb-ft/465 Nm (369 lb-ft/500 Nm with short bursts under overboost) from the brand-new turbocharged 3-litre six-cylinder in-line engine, the M2 has gone back to basics but with a dollop of modern thinking. In watching the video, myself personally sees more of the original M3's DNA in this new M2. It might just be due to the somewhat similar look and size but I do see something there. Need for Speed is out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One from November 3rd 2015. PC in Spring 2016. PS: Apologies for the bad pun title. Source: needforspeed.com
  19. Do you like getting things before other people? Do you like breaking things? Do you like giving feedback!? Well then, why not try and get into the PS4 update beta to get a sneak peak on the upcoming features before anyone else? They don't usually run beta programs that anyone can enter for the run of the mill software updates. So maybe there are some new features or big changes coming. Enrolment ends on Wednesday at 12PM GMT+1 with the beta update rolling out on 2nd September. If you have any issues, you can roll back to the current software revision at any time. Source
  20. [headline]PS4 Update 2.50 - New Features[/headline] Sauce The suspend mode looks like it might come in quite handy for games like pCARS and GT7 with their amazingly stupid long races.
  21. Let's See If I Remember How to do This Blog Thang Did you know that we haven't published an article full of Project CARS screenshots since July 2013? Never mind that we haven't published ANY articles in 10 months. But we love righting wrongs so much that we occasionally have to create those wrongs ourselves- that's just our style. And with only 30 days remaining before launch (hopefully), now seems like a great time to share some of the latest screenshots posted by the WMD community. Release dates for Wii U and Steam OS will be announced later.
  22. Something for y'all to ponder over: It appears there was another PSN outage on Sunday for some users, after the hacking, other outages, and general lack of 'WE PROMISE IT'LL GET BETTER' on Sony's behalf, is it time to change allegiance (To those that use PSN?)? Or are you happy with the level of service you get for the price you pay? I know we're mainly a PC/XB1/360 community but I hope some will be able to give an opinion on this article I saw on twitter by Time Magazine: Read the rest of the article here: Is It Really Time to Abandon Sonys PlayStation Network?
  23. [headline]PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition[/headline] How cool is this!? Sony are releasing an original themed PS4 to celebrate the 20th anniversary of PlayStation. Who could ever have thought dull grey would be so appealing and highly-sought! Limited to only 12,300 units worldwide, the commemorative edition comes in a very sleek looking box and has original PS accents, logos and 20's placed around the console and it's peripherals. Just take a look at the vids below and let the feels wash over you. [subhead]PS4 20th Anniversary Video[/subhead] [subhead]PS4 20th Anniversary Unboxing Video[/subhead] Sauce: PlayStation 4 20th Anniversary Edition revealed - PlayStation.Blog.Europe
  24. [headline]Playstation 4 Update 2.0[/headline] The main features in this update include: Upload clips direct to Youtube rather than just Facebook Shareplay - let a friend play your game for upto 60 minutes or play the game with you. They don't need to own the game themselves USB music playback Playstation themes Various broadcasting improvements The update takes roughly about 5 minutes to download and install. The menus also feel a lot more fluid than before even when a game/app is running in the background. Head over to Eurogamer for an in depth look
  25. PlayStation is due a BIG update in the form of 2.0 or 'Masamune' as it's being called and one of the biggest anticipations about it bar the themes and USB music player is Share Play. Share Play is a feature that allows a player to invite other players to watch their gaming session, now this may not sound too enthralling but wait, you see they can also virtually hand over the controller to the watcher and then for 60mins they can play the game as if it was on their own system! Not only this but you can even invite players to participate co-operatively or against you again for the same time limit in the likes of FIFA as the video shows even if the other person DOES NOT own the game. PS Plus is needed for some aspects and not for others which will no doubt be cleared up later. Does this seem like a big thing to you or do you actually wonder what is the point? :hmmm:
