  1. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiidge Racer!! Yes the legendary series created by Namco Bandai has returned for yet another installment in the franchise, this time hopefully without the . This time Ridge Racer returns in the format of 'Driftopia' - a Free-to-Play title being developed by Bugbear Entertainment (FlatOut series). Judging on what the developers say, the game will be released for free on PC and PS3 in the second or third quarter of 2013. As always to support themselves, micro-transactions will be available in the game, players can assumedly purchase cars, upgrades and more with their own hard-earned cash. Ridge Racer has been around as long as the PlayStation itself, with other formats on the N64 and DS 'handheld' consoles and it has always been a massive success because of it's track variety and engaging gameplay. And now with it being brought to the world for free, even more people can enjoy the franchise that has never seemed to die. Let us know what you think in the comments.
  2. If you took part in our first racing league, you know how this works, but I'll refresh your memory and introduce our rules to any newbies that want to join in on the fun! So officially, welcome back and hello long-awaited Season 3 of the TDUC Racing League! Rules: 1. The goal is to build an S-660 race car. You can buy any car and tune it up to that limit (no SUV's, etc.). The race each week will be roughly around 20-30 minutes. Racing tires must be on your car as well as a full racing roll cage, Forza Aero is also mandatory, no other aero may be put on your car. The car MUST be RWD. Swapping cars mid-season will result in a point deduction! 2. We will do 1 race a weekend, races will take place at 11PM GMT. This means: 10AM (Sunday Morning) for Melbourne/Sydney, 1 AM (For Santtu), 7PM EST and 4 PM PST. If you don't live in any of these timezones, go find a timezone calculator. 3. Tuning is allowed, and more than welcomed. You will have to tune to stay competitive in this competition! 4. Points will be awarded according to finishing position, and how many people join up. An example is below. If 10 people race, the winner will recieve 10 points, 2nd will recieve 9, 3rd - 8, and so on - until the person in last has 1 point. 5. Your car needs a custom livery! These are race cars! You can purchase one off the Storefront if you're lazy, but designing your own is even more fun! 6. Everyone is required to make 1 pitstop. When you make the stop is up to you, this can be hard to enforce but in previous seasons everyone has adhered to the rules. (You cannot pit on the very last lap) ((We had a huge, huge problem of people speeding full force into the pits and flying past their pit boxes in the old league, you must NOT miss your stall, if you do, you WILL HAVE TO PIT AGAIN - failure to comply will result in loss of points.)) 7. Rough racing/cheating (such as intentional wrecking or spinning) will result in points removal, and banning from races. 8. We will do a 2 lap qualifying run before the race, so we can set the field. So those are the rules! Sign up today, make sure you tell me what number you want for your car so nobody STEALS it from you and I hope you all come out and have fun with us, just like we used to! Last day for sign-up is March 20th. Sign Up: Clarence - Skylark Gaming (#3) - 2 points Still One Eyed Deer - SuperSanttu94 (#94) - 1 point MrLololololololololXD - MrLolololXD (#21) - 0 Prophecy92 - Pr0ph3cy92 (#17) - 0 randomsox10 - randomsox10 (#10) - 0 pyrre - pyrre6 (#13) - 0 Season Schedule: Infineon Long (3/23/13) - 18 laps (Clarence) Catalunya GP (3/29/13) - 14 laps Road America (4/6/13) - 10 laps Suzuka (4/13/13) - 12 laps Le Mans (4/20/13) - 5 laps Hockenheimring (4/27/13) - 15 laps

  4. Hey guys a few months a go i came across this game called My Racing career its a web browsed Racing Manager game. Its about working your way up from Formula 3 series to the Big series like Indy Series, Nascar or Formula 1. There are more then 100 tracks to race on, and 30 drivers attending each race (40+ in Nascar series). U can practise (6 stints test) do a Quali and race in 3 single races at a time, and join other random or Official Serie. Everytime u do some laps in the testing your driver wil give u feedback what to change, the more laps u do the more data. When u finish a race u can watch the data back from every single lap, so u can see who he overtook or were he lost time etc. Its a real fun game if u love managing race games,i like the setup tweaking part and figuring out the right pitstop strategy. The latest developing things are: -Nascar (next season) -Formula 1 -LIVE BROADCAST !! -Facebook App -new tracks -and much more Google 'My Racing Career'
  5. Simbin show the Futur3e Simbin have released a new promo-video for their fantastic free-to-play (f2p) racing title RaceRoom Racing Experience (R3E) which gives us a glimpse into the content coming in the next few months. In the video you can take a gander at cars such as the RUF RT12R, SLR McLaren 722 GT, P4/5 Competizione and even a classic Zakspeed Capri plus more. And it's not only cars that are being shown, we see a track too, and not just any run of the mill track but the infamous and notoriously challenging Suzuka in Japan. Find out more about RaceRoom Racing Experience at http://game.raceroom.com/ Trailer: A glimpse of new and coming content
  6. Driving in a Club I doubt anyone would be surprised to see a racing game being revealed for a new console but typically you expect it to be of a known series, and with it being the PlayStation 4 announcement meeting many were no doubt waging their bets on seeing a glimpse of a next-gen Gran Turismo or maybe Motorstorm. This did not happen though, in fact evolution studios the people behind the Motorstorm series revealed a brand new IP, DriveClub, which will feature many real-world cars such as BMW, Pagani and Maserati to name a few. With a name like that you just know that many "first rule of DriveClub" jokes have already made their way out but this game is looking to take a somewhat new approach to the racing game genre with a big emphasis on team-based... or I should say club-based gameplay. You and your club can set-up races and events (on your mobiles!) against other clubs that encompass anywhere from a mere small group to 1000's of players all over the world. DriveClub has only just been announced and a small trailer is all we have right now, but we will be keeping our eyes on this one to see if it is one of the first next-gen racing games worth having. Join in the discussion of DriveClub for PS4 in our forum!
  7. Racing all over the World! Codemasters has today released the latest trailer of GRID 2. The video is the first gameplay trailer and shows some of the new locations players will be able to race around, including Paris, Barcelona, California, Chicago and the Red Bull Ring circuit in Austria. Several cars are shown too but we'll leave you to pause through the clip and name them as there is so many and a few surprises too! GRID 2 is released in May this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Pre-order specials are available to early adopters! 10. Eutechnyx Brings Regular Updates NASCAR fans, myself included, watched the decline of NASCAR video games come to a screaming halt with NASCAR 09. EA Sports had gradually been neglecting the franchise and it showed greatly upon their finished products. The future looked extremely dim until Activision purchased the rights to the NASCAR franchise and came out with NASCAR: The Game 2011. Sure the new franchise isn't perfect, but Activision and Eutechnyx are making the effort to get there. That effort manifests itself in the continual release of DLC and patches for their new game, NASCAR The Game: Inside Line. Announced today, the brand new Generation 6 cars of NASCAR will be available to download on Xbox Live and the Playstation Network by the end of February; which is around the same time they will be debuting in their first real season of NASCAR Racing. They will be available for use in single player and online races, along with the Inside Line Highlight series of DLC which lets players recreate famous NASCAR races using real life, telemetric data. The cars can be purchased using the in-game Ticket Currency or you can have it as part of the Inside Line Highlights Pack previously mentioned. As always you can find all the information you need on the official site here. [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5]

Codemasters has announced the release date for the highly-anticipated GRID 2 which will be racing it's way to retailers in North America on May 28th and in Europe on May 31st for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Along with this there was also the mention of a GRID 2 Special Edition which is available for pre-order and features extra content that will be redeemable via Xbox Live, PlayStation Network and PC. In the UK the retailer GAME has Exclusivity over what's called the 'Brands Hatch Special Edition', this gives buyers access to 2 routes [layouts?] on the infamous Brands Hatch GP circuit as well as 2 new cars of the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 GT. McLaren Racing Pack: Receive the exclusive McLaren MP4-12C GT3 Special Edition car to race in single-player, multiplayer and a special online event; plus expand the game with two new routes around the Brands Hatch GP circuit. 12. Take your Jalopnik! The content of the next Forza Horizon DLC Car Pack has been revealed and it's a definite love and/or hate one at that. Full of the strange and the wonderful - and even a carbon copy with just a different badge - it's a pack that seems to be splitting opinion and even making some regret their 'Season Pass' purchases! Either way it's another pack for another month and if you are still blasting around the roads and dirt tracks of Colorado then here's some more toys for you to play with. Available from February 5th for 400MSP or for FREE if you were lucky enough to purchase the Season Pass, the below vehicles will be yours to play with or vent your anger upon from then. 1) 1966 Ford Country Squire (FREE) 2) 1970 Datsun 510 3) 1973 Mazda RX-3 4) 1991 Ferrari 512 TR 5) 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser 6) 2013 Subaru BRZ 7) Devon GTX GT3 - (Season Pass Bonus) Trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6WV_SGVWINs
  13. The Ultimate [Virtual?] Driving Machine A number of months ago Kunos Simulazioni announced their official partnership and licensing agreement with BMW AG that would see a variety of well known and legendary BMW's in the game. As per usual with BMW in games, the list is not going to take a lot of hard thinking to fill-in, and main stays of the marque such as the M3 feature prominently in many guises as well as the newer 1M and the love-it-or-hate-it Z4. BMW's that will come with Assetto Corsa 1.0 BMW Z4 E89 BMW M3 E92 BMW M3 E30 EVO BMW 1M BMW Z4 GT3 BMW M3 GT2 BMW's coming later as Downloadable Content (DLC) BMW 1M Safey Car BMW E30 DTM [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5" orderby="title]
  14. McLaren VS McLaren. FIGHT! Codemasters has released the first of a series of three videos which shows off some tasty driving of one of the cars you will find in the upcoming GRID 2 game. The fast and frantic live action video features two McLaren MP4-12C's battling [playing?] hard on the Brands Hatch Circuit. And driving these two delights is Chris Harris, who you may have seen on many videos test driving the best cars us mere mortals can only dream about, and Mat Jackson, the very talented and always great to watch British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) driver. The video is full of great sounds, fantastic power-slides and flames spitting out the exhaust set against the gorgeous lighting of an end of day sunset. We then get a brief clip of Harris being briefed by a Codemasters monkey who shows him the telemetry and tells him the ideal place to pull a pass. Harris also appears to be involved with the development and the handling of the game, why, we're not sure. “I’m thoroughly enjoying working on these videos for GRID 2, and adding a few pointers to help develop the handling on some of the key cars in the game. It’s a great opportunity to explore the ever-closer relationship between real driving and the virtual world” said Chris Harris. The first GRID game was a highly-regarded arcade racer praised for it's impressive visuals and crazy crash effects of which fans will be happy to know GRID 2 looks to continue and expand upon this even more. So if that's your sort of thing or you enjoyed the first game then this will clearly be on your radar for it's release coming in the Summer of this year for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. 15. This trailer just emerged showing a free to download/play racing game from SimBin looks quite interesting showing 3 cars Bmw 1m (if i am correct) Audi r8 v10 and another car  What do you guys think? Video from MotoGamesTv
  16. Simbin's latest RRRacer! UPDATE: Another batch of images added to the gallery below. If you know your racing-sims then you will know of Simbin, from their earlier GTR games to the popular RACE series Simbin has always been regarded as one of the best at what they do and now they are putting their skill into a new 'Free-2-Race' title called RaceRoom Racing Experience or R3E for short. The game is currently in Closed-Beta testing however as you would expect Simbin continue to release info and media about the game on their Simbin Insider blog, the latest of these being the images shown below of some of the licensed and fictional vehicles that will be available for use in the game when it's released. Even though there is no demo as such, if you have STEAM then you can try out a 'teaser edition' that as you can imagine has limited content but is very much well worth a go if you like your virtual racing and want to see what R3E has to offer. [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5" orderby="title] Thanks. Simbin Insider
  17. Coooorrrvette! With the official unveiling of the 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray yesterday at the North American International Auto Show and the camouflaged prototype already being in GT5, it's little wonder that the actual car is coming to GT5 and it's coming fast, this Tuesday in fact. Yes from tomorrow you will be able to go to the PlayStation Store and download the car for FREE! Which is damn generous don't you think? Let's just hope the typical dire sounds of Gran Turismo do not rear their ugly head and that this brand new US Muscle icon is given the rapturous symphony that it deserves! Kazunori Yamauchi , President of Polyphony Digital. “The Polyphony team has had an unforgettable experience getting to know the Corvette Stingray, inside and out, and bringing it into Gran Turismo 5. We’re excited to share our experience with fans and let them feel, explore and drive the Corvette in a way that wasn’t possible until now.” [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5] Thanks. PlayStation Blog, PlayStation Europe Blog.
  18. Did some work for this game, not sure if it will be in, though. Hoping it will. Anyway, they just announced this. Nothing public yet other than a few teaser shots, but having worked with them, I can say they have the most ridiculously over the top standards ever. So this will certainly be good. 19. I don't see any WR2 topic so I tought to create one. I am a World Racing 2 player, I love the physics and the modding capabilites of the game, and I would like to play it with some other guys, is there someone here on forums? :P
  20. New Content Made Available [This unedited press release is made available courtesy of Gamasutra and its partnership with notable game PR-related resource GamesPress.] Auto Club Revolution is opening up the racing world by releasing a new racing location, entitled 'Kolmården Test Circuit', making this the 10th racing location available.Kolmården Test Circuit has a look and feel reminiscent of a typical Scandinavian forest location. 21. Bellissimo! Thanks to the people over at DrivingItalia.net we have a video of the very promising looking sim-racer Assetto Corsa that is being developed by Kunos Simulazioni, who you may or may not know are the team behind the highly-regarded netKar PRO and Ferrari Virtual Academy, so as you can imagine their 'simulation' prowess is very much respected in the racing-sim world and excitement for their latest offering is at a very high-level. In the video below you can see the ever mental Pagani Zonda R lapping the Monza track where it sticks to the tarmac remarkably well as it is known to, as let's not forget this car did the legendary Nürburgring Nordschleife in an unbelievable 6mins 47secs. And it looks like this game will allow you to test your might with unpredictable snaps and the car doing it's best to show it can't be fully tamed. Just like a full-on racecar should be! As you can see it's shaping up very nicely and should be yet another fantastic addition to any sim-racers repertoire. 22. Hi Hi, Miss American Pie I apologise for the levy was dry pun up top but hey, coming up with these things is no easy feat all the time! Anyway onto the point of this post, the Corvette C7 spotted in the idle screens a few weeks ago appears to be coming to your copy of GT5 in the very very near future if rumours and TOP SECRET style shenanigans seem to suggest. What am I talking about with the covert speak? Well it appears the original find was on the Official EU PlayStation blog itself which was showing the below but has now since been removed *hmmm*: Gran Turismo 5 Corvette C7 Test Prototype ’13 Prices: Free Availability: All (releases 29th November) As you can see the price is set at FREE which is always a great thing to see as something for nothing is better than nothing for something after all. It is, honestly, just think about it. On top of this Jalopnik has posted the image below which shows a big massive plastering of the in-game car on the wall with "Get it today for FREE" scrawled upon it at the LA Auto Show which opens from tomorrow (29th). Interestingly enough, this GT5 booth is paired with the top of the range Thrustmaster T500 setup so here's hoping we get to see some videos of self-acclaimed driving gods flailing about all over the place in the coming days. If this turns out to be true then expect the official bells and whistles to commence from tomorrow. It is true and it's available on the PSN Store NOW! “Gran Turismo has had many firsts and we’re excited to partner with Chevrolet for yet another – bringing the first-ever Chevrolet prototype vehicle into a racing game,” said Kazunori Yamauchi. “As car enthusiasts, we’re thrilled to give fans this extraordinary level of access to the seventh generation Corvette that otherwise would not be possible.” UPDATE: Official Pics and Video added [gallery size=gallery-thumbnail" itemtag="div" icontag="span" link="file" columns="5" orderby="title]
  23. And it's go-go-good fun! Formula 1? Check. Real F1 drivers? Check. [super] Mario Kart style flashbacks? ABSOLUTELY!! Yes people 'F1 Race Stars' from Codemasters is the F1 game nobody wanted but everyone will probably love as it's blend of Official F1 licenses coupled with insanely fun courses will make this quite possibly the new party game to play when you've had a few drinks or can't be bothered playing your 245th game of Wii Sports Bowling with your mates. The demo takes place on the 'Germany' track and four playable F1 racers are available: Sebastian Vettel, Jenson Button, Fernando Alonso and the ever animated Kimi Räikkönen*. You can either play it on your lonesome in single player or get a few mates round and have a 4-player #oldskool split-screen match. Don't believe us? Well feel free to go and download the demo on your Xbox 360 now (Gold only for now) with PC and PS3 coming tomorrow (Thursday 8th November). Go on, have some fun for a change and laugh at the cartoon representations of your favourite F1 star. *Rumours that Räikkönen smiles in this game are still to this point unfounded. F1 Race Stars launches for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 16th November, 2012.
  24. Whooooooooo are you? A post appeared on the well known and popular Gran Turismo fan community GT Planet by user jstickboy13 showing an off-screen photograph of a Camouflaged Corvette C7. As with everything on the internet, scepticism and 'FAAAAKKEEE' was quick to show itself as was the CSI forensic experts who were out with their Photoshop, changing the Brightness and Levels of the image to see if they could reveal the truth behind the image itself. This just made things even more inconclusive until a white knight ...well another member in fact, new at that too posted a video showing the spinning camouflaged Vette in all its glory. So people, thank edwinpr for the video below.
