I think this is the best soundmod I've done so far. It sounds quite aggressive methinks. Made from the audible wonder of Forza 3, courtesy of the Ferrari 599! NOTE: There is a custom starter in the sound, but I cannot for the life of me remember who it's made by. I'm a manual shifter as probably most of you. The sound of my engine is important to listen to for shifting on the right moment. I got really sick of the air friction and asphalt roll volume when driving (sometimes even louder then the sound of my engine :?) and removed em both. You can also remove just one of em if you like the other one to stay. (remove winds only for example) I used TDU Bnk Editor 1.0 - By Jeffrey (thx Jeffrey for this application) to replace files within a BNK file. DJEY Magic Map is recommended because we ARE changing a .BNK file. 1) Make a copy of your //Test Drive/Euro/Bnk/Sound/Vehicules/common.bnk 2) Start TDU Bnk Editor and with it, open //Test Drive/Euro/Bnk/Sound/Vehicules/common.bnk 3) These 4 files are the ones that we're going to replace. Or just 2 if you like the other 2 to stay 4) Replace them with the .WAV files found in my zip (each .wav is 0 kb) 5) Great work here by Jeffrey, because otherwise it wouldn't work 6) Don't forget to press this button when you're finished, like I always do. It will result that TDU won't play 'm at all because they aren't valid sound files. That results in more free sound channels for the soundcard and a bit extra CPU performance and most important, gives a pure undistorted engine sound. My first 0kb mod ever by the way :rolleyes:

These samples aren't as perfect as I would like but I have not enough time and still a lot of stuff to release before TDU2 comes out, so here it is, good enough I think, with some little imperfections, that most users should not notice though. Ok soo...I started makin the sound than i noticed that its pretty similar to the original TDU one, but i decided to finish it. Due the tests I found out that this one has better backfire and it's also louder so I decided to release it. Hello all ! I am currently working on a 3D car simulation with Flash. The engine is still at an early stage but the basics are done. Do you know how many samples are needed in order to get a "quite" realistic sound ? For example in TDU, what kind of samples are needed ? And, is it possible to have a link for some samples in a wav format ? I would be glad to hear any advices and suggestions from experienced mod creators. I hope i can finish a speed test demo soon and show it to you ! Thank you for your time.

This is for everyone enjoying Frank's awesome mod(which isn't completed yet,but I have some info that it will be soon:cool:),including me!;) Initially,I started doing the sound on the r32,but I switched to audi tt, because it doesn't have that stuttering sound issue(some cars have,including r32) and has a very similar, really quiet turbo like the real 2.0 tfsi engine has. Additionally,I made two versions,one with a discrete BOV sound added and the other without.Lastly,I made the exterior gauge and Lorinser rims(similar style to original) for Scirocco for added realism.:D p.s. I think the Scirocco model looks even better on the TT and also, the views are ok,the hood one being even better!:) +if you don't wanna move your Scirocco from the r32,that's fine,just rename everything to it's r32 names,but on the other hand,you won't hear the turbo anymore(not a biggy since the real turbo is really quiet)and there's that stuttering... Moinsen, With any sound mod comes a "set ignition time to..." order But i don't find any "ignition" options in the tools that i know. Can anyone tell me: How can i set ignition time?! Konichiva fellow members, since most mods are lately from the land of the raising sun,no point in me missing on the party!:D I bet a lot of you are punishing those poor scoobies right now aren't you? Well I've got a treat for you,a really nice(if I may say so:cool:) boxer engine noise for you to play with. I realize there was Saladine's version around for some time,but although good,I think it's a little bit unrefined and distorted;)(not that mine is perfect,but more choice can't be bad no?) Ok,enough blabering,there's one snag,if you use the sound on S4 like Tool intended,there's no turbo,that sucks in my book,so after a lot of bodyswaping the Scooby finaly found it's home in Merc CLK55. You'll say it's a RWD and you're right,but I'd rather have all my views/sound/look to my liking than insisting on a 4wd car. Also as you'll se in the clip,I used scandinavian flick,handbrake and other techniques to get that lazy arse to turn,which is one of TDU's bigger problems(HEAVY understeer),so it feels more like a 4wd than a rwd really!:cheeky: The pack contains the sound with BOV and also without it,and I threw in a gauge I made for myself in a hurry,it's not identical to the real thing,but it'll do for now.:) Few notes:Sound goes to 6700rpm. If you want it to sound exactly like mine,also pick up my common file which doubles the turbo volume and mutes more or less the transmission noises.
