My first official attempt at an engine sound mod, so do feel free to laud me with praises and tickle my ears with pleasing words. :D No really, I hate flattery. Just say your piece, I can take it. :crying: There are 2 versions, both made from sctrach but somehow ended up sounding alike :confused: perhaps because I was deliberately going in the same direction. There's some occasional issues, but listening to other TransAm mods, I get the feeling that they're inherent to the car - ie. tends to "cut" the sounds very sharply when letting off the gas at certain RPMs - around 4000-4500rpm - this is more pronounced in the "drivers seat" view than the other views, especially if your windows (not MS) are closed. The sound(s) are not really FireBird sounds, but more an attempt to capture the sound and feel of the Trans Am from Smokey And The Bandit - allthough in the movie it doesn't really have ONE sound but several. Sometimes it will be a dry medium-high pitch sound and at other times, deep and roaring! Movies, go figure. :D I tried to reproduce the deep roaring in Version 1. In version 2 I couldn't decide. :drool: Man coffee makes you write alot, here - both versions in one file. Lately I've been working on sounds for the Edonis and ended up with these two. They probably don't sound anywhere close to the real life Edonis but seem to sound better than the original in TDU, even though it may sound a little like a race car. Both sounds are basically the same, the second one is just a higher pitched version of the first one, but with a stronger "whistling" and doesn't have backfire. You will need the Magic bnk1.map or else they won't work. Hope you like them at least a bit, and please do post feedback. ;) Sorry for the low quality samples, unfortunately I can't do much better...they sound well better ingame. EDIT: I gave it another go, so now the "whistling" is a bit stronger and louder, added a backfire (not as loud as the one of Edonis I, though it may be a little too quiet) and the engine is pitched in between both the other two sounds: not as low as Edonis I but not as high as Edonis II. Somehow I think it didn't come out as expected, still feels too similar to Edonis II...but do seems better. EDIT 2: Well, and again I've given it another try. This time I left the same pitch as in Edonis I, added the stronger "whistlling" and made the backfire a bit louder, but still feels like it doesn't exist: this is because the charger/turbo sound covers it, yet mostly only when gearing, so, if you accelerate to high rpm's and let go off the gas, you'll clearly hear it. So I gave it a try on the Koenigsegg sound, and well, it may be a little buggy but I guess it came out kinda okay...could be better though. This sound can replace any of the two Koenigsegg's. You will need the Magic bnk1.map in order for them to work. Hey guys :) I've tried -to make a Bugatti Veyron EB 16.4 Sound -to make german Police sirens I've tried the Bugatti Sound: the result was, nothing except an making crazy rush, and by the sirens was everytime on the begin a sound, like tuning_radio.wav. Please please help :( PS: Programms what i used: Audacity Zoqqer/playa :D

Would anyone happen to have the original file of the Dodge Charger Super Bee (the audio file) (Charger_SB_audio.bnk)? I accidentally deleted it during a mod and hate to uninstall everything just for that file, so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.:thumbsup:

Well i really like the sound mods here, but I want to try making one, can any one who has sound modded please put a tutorial, it has been done for vehicle models(made by tool831) so why not sounds?

Did you know that, the MS ADPCM format is .... horrendous ? :monkeydance: Did you know that, you can save the "On High" sound in PCM and TDU will USE IT ! :excited: But if you try to use all PCM files - your car will turn in to a metallic mime. ----------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: Further attempts reveal that you can use PCM for all the "ON" sounds and also the "Off_High" sound. This varies from car to car, my test subject was the Countach. ----------------------------------------------------------------- This will make it easier to create that "perfect loop" - as the PCM format doesn't add those 0.04sec of data at the end - wich we all know is encrypted intructions to call up the "MotherShip" :lol: aka MS. On that note, would someone more talented than me, please, take a look at this Countach OnHigh sound and see if you can make that "perfect loop". I just Can't do it. :imwithstupid: I think it's from Reilss' version ? It just has the most wonderful dirty scream. :nuts: And please save it in PCM. :thumbsup: Finally, feel free to tell me when I've used up my quota of emoticons. :drool: :stinks:

I was just cruising around and I realized how crappy my GTO sounds. I started to go through most of the car dealerships and I found the sound that I want. The Aston Martin DB7 Zagato had a throaty rumble that I wanted as well as the scream that I wanted at the top of the range. One problem, I have absolutely no idea how to make the swap. Any help here would be much appreciated. Thanks beforehand.

Can NFS Carbon sounds be imported to TDU or made, because I'd like to have some sounds from there to TDU :D to be exact the stock sound of the Corvette Z06

Hey, hey! Been a while! Finally got that new sound working!:thumbsup: This one took me forever, but I think I finally got it working! No quirks that I've noticed... so far. :D Anyways, as the title suggests, this sound gives the Z06 a heavy grunt. I tried to give it that titanium feel when driving, and a large cam feel when idling. I hope you like it!

First of all I'm sorry If my english is not right. If somebody don't like the murcielago sound that I mod I hope you understand that was the first time that I did something like that. Now I have try to change this sounds like If I replace the original muffler for a sport muffler (loud). I have changed this sounds: Ducati Monster S4R Ferrari 612 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Lamborghini Murcielago (New sound, not the first I did) MV Agusta F4 Ruf RGT I hope you like and I'm waiting for comments.

Could anyone make sound mod for mercedes SLR McLaren for test drive unlimited from Need for Speed Most Wanted?? I think it was most realistic engine sound in computer games for SLR. I beg you!

After trying some sound mods i reached the conclusion that Gallardo needs a better sound like the one from NFS Carbon! Most of the sound mods i've tested have a common problem: when you accelerate the car sounds like it has three engines or like it's going through a tunnel! So i decided to give you a better inspiration and hope you'll convert that sound for TDU! It's defenitely the proper sound for a Gallardo! Good Luck! ;)

Is it possible to extract the car sounds from Juiced. After looking in the config files, they seem to use the same on_high, off_high etc, format as TDU. However the sounds, as far as I can tell, are in a .dat file, which I assume is similar to the .bnk file that TDU uses. How would I extract the sounds from the .dat? Googling didn't find anything promising. Anyone know?
