  1. TDU2Mo

    TDU2

Could someone make really cool car mods for TDU2 for the Xbox 360? It would be really cool to have cars that everyone makes on there to free roam in and maybe online. :)
  2. Hey there, as you may know when Atari say nothing and time starts passing by to ridiculous levels I like to go searching and try and find things that may be on that thing known as the internet. And find something I did, I stopped after finding this so maybe there is more out there that I will look for once this thread is posted. Funny thing, I sent a message to Atari about passing an image of a bike for the TV and heard nothing back, and what do you know I got it anyway. :D. Go me! :duck: UPDATE #1: 28th March 2012 @ 00:15 GMT+1 Credit to sharks80 for the discovery of the below image: UPDATE #1: 4th February 2012 @ 15:45 GMT Some renders of the cars that will come with DLC2. :) Click for larger versions And some ingame shots of the Mercedes-Benz SL65 AMG Black Series. Not a great update I know but better than nothing eh? :D So ladies and gentleman I give you the Ducati Desmosedici RR that will be appearing in TDU2 via DLC2. The Bike Model :) In-game images, liking the Digital Dials.
  3. ...give one of the bikes away for free. :) (slower Ducati preferably) Hey there, now I know many of you will be saying "duh" to this thread title and I know others will look at it and completely disregard it and go off on one about how can they support the game with no money coming in but let me explain my thinking behind this a minute before you shout at me. Back in 2006 TDU came out for the Xbox 360 and then early 2007 the PC got to savour the delights that we console players had been shouting and praising (as well as moaning about) the last few months and despite the problems the game was still fun to play. The reason was not only the wide open expansive area of O'ahu but also the difference between the cars and bikes available. One of the things that always popped up on communities and the official forums was how to find and locate all the car dealers so that the bikes could then be unlocked. And despite their handling and of course the cardinal sin of a reverse gear a number of people developed a fondness for the bikes due to the first-person views and the insane sense of speed when zipping through traffic that it brought. Not to mention the areas you could jump into and also the fact that hitting an oncoming car launched you high in the sky giving you a great picture for your album. And believe it or not there was a number of folk who bought TDU due to the bikes, people even asking if their was a "quick" way to unlock them without having to drive around and find all the dealers as all they wanted to do was cruise the island at high speed on 2 wheels. Now we're here at TDU2 and bikes were omitted, but they were said to be coming shortly after release and if anyone remembers the article from that one magazine where there was actually a quote that the bikes were being worked on now, and of course the info and pics I found last month that showed some of the bike DLC had been produced by someone who finished at Eden as far back as July 2011 then it's clear bikes were well indeed on their way! Don't think that's all of it though as recent discoveries showed someone who worked on Bike DLC left in January this year too so don't use that as an argument to why we don't have bikes yet. I've veered off somewhat but anyway here is why I say DLC2 should be free. Many of us want to enjoy this game and a few of us have maybe even sold it and are waiting for something to bring us back to it, well if the fixes of DLC2 are enough to do that then fair enough but think how many of those dismayed bikers who gave up on the game would come back if the bikes were free for them and not only that but the people Atari angered by not having a single modern Corvette would possibly jump back in with the prospect of a (decent sounding) Corvette ZR-1 to get their hands on. Then you have the Ferrari Tifosi being able to get their hands on not only the insane 599XX but also the F40, a car so revered as the best Ferrari ever that you would expect many people to clamber to raise the money to be able to buy it even though it suffers some dreadful turbo lag. In fact if TDU is anything to go by, a many number of people really love to drive their F40's. Especially if it's followed around by an XJ220 or McLaren F1. :cheeky: *wishes* :duck: So let's be positive and say the fixes sort out most of the wheel issues the more dedicated to immersion players want and that the driving feel returns to TDU2, couple that with these new cars and bikes and you would see TDU2 sell again. Put a price on it and remember TDU2 itself can be had in some places for less than £/€/$10 and you will have people 'wait and see' what others say before taking the plunge, of course those without the game will still wait but they would be more inclined to accept what is provided seeing as it's free. When you take into account that TDU2 has been out nearly 14 months and the whole debacle that we the community and players have had to go through, and the fact that the servers and Casino don't exactly play nice, and that there are so many issues compared to TDU, and that even with all this time passed we have had only the 1 DLC!! It seems absurd to ask for money before the main areas are tackled, granted the new cheat policing looks promising and I really do hope the upcoming fixes do make the game a much more enjoyable experience but Atari we really need to hear what plans you have for TDU2 as DLC2 could simply be a toe in the water to gauge what the support should be from this moment onwards. Is it a case of get DLC2 out the door and forget about TDU2 from then on in? Is the Auction House still planned for the future? Do you have plans to use those cars that RABCAT made for you? Do you not think it stupid to have cars on the disk that just lie there not being used such as the Hot Rod or even the other Pursuit cars? Come on use your grey matter and think, these things can all add up to that little bit more respect towards you and the game and in turn result in people more likely to purchase DLC in the future. However they need to see respect from you towards them as frankly you are at the lowest you can possibly be anyway, so it's not going to take much to get you climbing up the ladder again is it? Work on your communication first and foremost and start listening to what your players and community are saying as even though you have screwed us over the last year we are still here, and the only reason we are is because we hope that you can actually realise the potential of the game and series you have in front of you and we are here waiting for that to happen and if/when it does we are here with our money ready to hand it over. We're passionate but not stupid, it's up to you to take advantage of our crazy patience but for damn sure it won't last much longer ESPECIALLY if you don't start telling us what's happening. Now move your arse! :bunny:
  4. So I suppose I've done everything right in importing a sound for a car from TDU2 into TDU1. I've been able to extract it, and open in it in audacity where I made it all the files mono, exported it as a 4-bit MC ADPCM and imported via TDU modding tools. Is there any special step I might be missing? Is there anything else that needs to be done to the sound files to make them work in TDU1? Because as of now, I do not get any sound from the car, its completely silent. I've tried using many different donor sound bnk's, but it remains silent.

  9. So, I went on and followed the link to the TDU2 wiki site, grabbed both the unpack script and the Universal Launcher.. I followed the instructions, extracting to main TDU2 folder etc.. Ran the unpack script, it started up fine, I let it finish (took around 10 min).. Then under BNK folder, I still only have "Video" folder, not all the other folders that I need :/ Also I have noticed my Free space amount on my hdd hasn't changed, it is still the same after the "unpacking" :( Please, somebody, anybody help me! :( It would be much appreciated :)
  10. Anybody else have this issue? I am running an unpacked version of tdu 2 and with the universal launcher when I go to the airport and try to fly to hawaii it crashes and throws out a report with an error code
  11. Yesterday, I've unpacked the game with the unpacker. But, because I wasn't well informed, I started the game with the normal launcher. After that, it has updated the game to the Explo version. then it started, but I couldn't see any changes, with the mods, so I thought, I have to set the eu and map files into the backup folder. After that, I started it, then somewhere, the game has crashed (by using the Universal Launcher). Before this problem, I did every files, which has been unpacked, into the backup folder, but after that, the game throwed (at the loading screen before atari, so I've only seen the "G" on the black screen) me out all the time untill I did all the files from the backup folder, to the main folder. Now, I'm unpacking it again, but I'm afraid, that this problem would happen again, so therefor, I'm asking you, for your help.
  12. If you had seen the info discovered by our friends at TDU-France (French... obviously!) a while ago then you would know that the Triumph Speed Triple was mentioned. Well on my recent jaunt for new info the below images were on the website of the same person who did the Lotus you see as well. However please note unlike the Lotus this was under the Personal Work section so it may not be anything to do with TDU2. They are nice though. :D UPDATE #1: 6th February 2012 @ 12:03 GMT Renders of what could possibly be a future DLC for TDU2. No words just these glorious images. Enjoy! Click images below for 1080p versions Click for full resolution image Click for full resolution image Click for full resolution image Click for full resolution image Interestingly the person who created this car finished working for Eden in June 2011. :hmmm:
  13. Source: Thibaut Trampont Designer During the preproduction of the game, I was in charge of the entire Level Design of a second island : Dubaï. The project was designed to take the high level player from Hawaii to Dubaï. With that in mind, we made a huge research on every element of the Dubaï environment : Roads and marking Buildings and monuments Vegetation and districts Topography and landscape Street elements Read more at the website of the employee who was tasked with doing this. Makes me wonder, even though Dubai was canned, they probably still have the info and data for future use? :hmmm:
  14. Hi all :) I want to show you all my videos of TDU 2 modifications in this thread. At the beggining - two very first vehicle mods! Ferrari 575M Maranello - Vehicle Mod by Tool831 Porsche Carrera GT - Vehicle Mod by Tool831
  15. Hi, guys! Is it just me or everybody is experiencing same problem? In past two hours the game reports that servers are not available...
  16. How is it possible to have the DLC Lamborghini Aventador? It was said that would not have .... Or the guy did a hell of a fake or has something very wrong .... Usually Mod car the car's name is original, off the performace of ferrari (in the case shown by the speedometer) is not 100 at all the options out that Ferrari has no way to increase ... Or does it? *removed video links due to belonging to a freak* They just put the Aventador on another car? Because Ferrari Enzo dont have that performace  Judging by the sound I think it may be either Ferrari FXX, Pagani (not sure) or Mclaren or am I wrong in these predictions?
  17. hi, ich hab ne frage wie bringe ich mods ins tdu 2 rein  danke
  18. I really miss the Vanq in TDU2 - it´s the living legend of Aston Martin and it also is faster (and IMHO much more beautiful) than the DBS, which is just a lightly pimped DB9. So, if anyone is able to put a Vanq into TDU2, this would be appreciated by many fans, I am sure.
  19. Please can someone make a mod that enables you to select any car (Lotus 2-Eleven etc...) and swap it with an in game car. Similar to hex editing - but I have only seen that on xbox and it looks confusing Ive never got a chance to drive the Lotus 2-Eleven and I really want it Thanks :) Alex
  20. A very interesting and exciting bit of info has popped up over at our mental french compatriots; TDU-France. (obviously in French) This info pertains to a Changelog that has been posted of the supposed actual contents and features of the next DLC which surprisingly (and hopefully not wrongly) is predicted to be FREE!! In this list is the mention of bikes, 2 in fact; the Harley Fat Boy Lo and a Triumph Speed Triple. To accompany the new bikes 10 new [multiplayer?] Challenges will be available and FRIM will be via doing wheelies (and maybe other actions?). Awesometastic enough there is also mention of your rider being able to perform certain emotions however whether this is akin to what you could do in PGR4 will need to remain to be seen. Along with this is the Auction House in which 2 forms of business can be done in the form of Buy it Now and the typical Auction type where the last bidder at the auctions end wins. Another new item of virtual concrete and glass is the Racing Hall where new events will be available for players to run every week. Whether this is part of the DLC with the previous mentioned items or a future addition is not known but sounds good and could be a good way to finally make money! There is a few more bits and pieces mentioned and you can see a (dodgy) translation via Google below. Anyone who wishes to provide a proper French to English translation would be showered with cookies and receive milk from an Alpaca. :cheeky: [+] UPDATE: Human translation: Dodgy Google Translation
  21. Lambo in TDU 2... looks like the modding scene has finally kicked off
  22. Hey there, here we are with TDU modding a real reality and with everyday that's passing modders are getting their hands into even more spaces and areas where they couldn't but thankfully are. Before you delve right in and start downloading and trying to install and then coming back here and crying or shouting at the mod author there are a few things you should remember. 1) Always BACKUP any files you may be changing or overwriting, so that if something does go wrong reverting back to a working situation is at least somewhat possible. This may not always be the case though and remember that modding is usually hassle free but that doesn't mean there isn't instances where things go wrong so be prepared for a reinstall if possible. 2) Mods for the most part should be enjoyed offline only, but due to a large part of the greatness of TDU being the online aspect it's understandable some or many of you may wish to do so, just be aware that the server might not want you on it due to some mods you use. 3) You are not allowed to sell Modifications that are not of your own full creation; any Intellectual Property rights you do not have permission to use cannot be used for commercial purposes and all modifications posted are merely for PERSONAL USE only. 4) DO NOT ASK for files from the TDU Installer or any files that come with TDU once installed, if you forgot to backup then that's your problem unfortunately! 5) turboduck, it's owner and/or it's Staff is not liable for any damage or loss of income or expense that may be experienced by your use of the Mods you find on our forums or downloaded via our members and their links; YOU USE THESE PROGRAMS AND MODIFICATIONS AT YOUR OWN RISK! Modding is great for pro-longing the life and improving a title way beyond it's original, and let's face it with a title such as TDU2 that's not going to be hard. :D Ready to go? Ok, start by checking out the Tutorials and Installation Guides thread FIRST!

  24. If you saw the post yesterday about the PS3 pack making it's way slowly out as a number of European players were commenting on it showing up as an auto-update then you'll not care that it's official. If however you missed this and have woken up from your 7 month hibernation then GOOD NEWS!! No not the Dacia Sandero but the DLC1 is finally out or coming out for all you muppets on PS3!! :D Here's the official spiel. Atari - Always Late than Never!
