1. Sounding very nice. From bottom to top fitting now. Not getting flat anymore in high rev range. New onlow. Sound is reving up to 8200 rpm. So if you put it into a car, originally having a rev range up to 8000 rpm, it'll sound like that. Again updated 10.05.2015 . Tnx minime891 for the video, i can't do this with my good old pc from 2002 :-). And the fact you did it on your own, without me having to ask for it, is also a big compliment for me, so, ciated, hehe. Edit 2017 : New video for the onboard version. :-p Releasenjoybutton : http://www.file-upload.net/download-10602216/audi-r8v10-onboard.rar.html ( onboard version ) File-Upload.net - audi-r8-v10-plus.rar ( pure engine sound ) Video ( onboard version ) : Video ( pure engine sound ) :

So we can keep our beloved Ferrari F430 or Shelby GT500 in the game ! TDU Platinium, TDUCP 2.00, HF Garage and many other community addon car packs are the result of this community effort to get more variety in TDU. Here is a even better and more complete tutorial than the one I've made 4 years ago for adding new cars in TDU. Believe me, it's easy when you get the process in mind and when you understand how it work. Don't be afraid. Time, logic and patience are you best friends. You gonna be able to use different sets of rims and choose many as you like ingame ! Just like the Mercedes CLK 55 AMG. And you can customize your new slots to your own taste like the wheel size, the names of the rims and many more options. About Online: Just to understand how TDU database works. First of, the Database is located in DB.bnk you can find in Atari\Test Drive Unlimited\Euro\Bnk\Database. Inside that BNK file, you have smaller db files for many stuffs. Open one of the smaller .db file (converted with TDUUT, tutorial further bellow) with a Notepad and you get tonnes of numbers. So one line in the TDU_CarPhysicsData.db file = one car. Same story for wheels: one line in TDU_Rims.db = one rim. A line in TDU_CarRims.db = One car and one rim connected together. And not just cars but you get it... TDU reads each values of the line and translate it into something like colors, what 3D car BNK to use, what gauges to use, how much HP, how grippy is the car, etc... Here's bellow how DB.bnk looks like inside when it's open by TDU Modding Tools: A\ Add a line into the database Okay let's take a simple mod I like with 2 different set of wheels, pre-made physics and a sound mod included: The Audi Sport Quattro made by Norby931 a long time ago. The car would normally replace the Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 as indicated by Norby himself. This time we are not replacing the Alfa GT, we gonna copy it and transform it into a dedicated working Audi Sport Quattro. /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ The original way to add a car manually is to open TDU_CarPhysicsData.db located inside DB.bnk (Next steps are in the TDUUT guide bellow). Once you've got your TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex file and opened it, copy the line in the database from the Alfa GT, go to the bottom of all the code lines and paste your copied Alfa GT. To find the line of the Alfa GT in the database, look for the REF value you can find in TDUF, TDU Modding Tools and TDUPE. Once you've got the number Change the REF value and the Car ID to separate the original Alfa GT line to your newly added Audi Quattro. Alfa Romeo GT 3.2 V6 REF = 63518960 /!\ When changing the REF value, make sure to start from a completely different number from the original Atari line copied. Same for ID, start from value "2040" if your game is stock vanilla. It is extremely important to avoid conflict with the original Atari car. /!\ My REF is 6000000034. Start from 6000000001 (Or any number sequence with 10 digits) to be safe and next time you add a car start, name the REF 6000000012. Make sure 2 numbers are completely different from another existing value in the database. Use the search tool to double check if your new value is unique. And my ID number is 2233. +1 the ID number each time you add a car. (I've already added a few cars since ID 2040) Scroll back up. +1 the items value to make it readable in-game. The items tells the game how many lines (cars, rims...) are in the .db file. SAVE YOUR .db.hex FILE ! Then Go back to TDUUT's guide bellow to insert your edited .db file into the DB.Bnk file. DONE FOR THIS EDITING PART. B\ Add values with the DB Ressources app C\ Edit the copied lines with the newly added ressources D\ Add BNK files into the game with TDUF E\ Add the car into TDU Modding Tools and TDUPE F\ Adjusting the added vehicule Go down bellow to [Adjusting the mod] CONCLUSION AND RESULT TDUUT This part of the tutorial contains: MAINLY Convert .db crypted files into an editable file with a Notepad, + Extras: Moving .db files out and in DB.bnk and rename them. /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ INTRODUCTION | WHAT IT DOES ? Convert your db file into an editable hex file. Very useful if you want for exemple to add a new car or wheels (remember: one car or rim = one line) at the end of the database. You can even edit the wheel size. Don't open the TDUUT.exe file, it only works by drag and drop db and .db.hex files. A\ EXTRACT A db FILE FROM THE DB.bnk FILE ? Open TDU Modding Tools 1.16.3 > Close the Vehicule Manager window. > Open File Browser > Click on Database folder (1) > Select DB.Bnk (2). Select your desired file "TDU_CarPhysicsData.db" for example. To select multiple files, Press Ctrl and click on the files you want. (3). Click on "Extract" (4). Create a dedicated folder or select one you like to export your db file (5) and click "OK" (6). It should open a window with all your extracted db files. B\ HOW TO CONVERT A db FILE ? Open the folder where you TDU UT is located. Drag your db file into the TDUUT and let the magic happen. A new file appear as for example "TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex". Delete all the original db file. You are not gonna use them anymore unless you corrupt your TDU DB.Bnk and use it as a backup file. You should be able to open your new db.hex file with a notepad and edit it. I strongly recommend you open the file with Notepad + + (Download: https://notepad-plus-plus.org/) C\ HOW TO EDIT THE DATABASE ? [GO UP INTO THE ADDING NEW SLOTS (Old long method) TO FOLLOW THE STEPS OF EDITING THE DATABASE] D\ HOW TO CONVERT AN EDITED db.hex FILE INTO db ? Same as above, just drag and drop your edited db.hex file into TDUUT. You should get a db file named for example TDU_CarPhysicsData.db.hex . To difference all the files, look on the right side the type file where you have "HEX File" (=db.hex) and "Data Base File" (=db file) E\ HOW TO PUT MY NEW EDITED db FILE INTO TDU MODDING TOOLS ? First of, rename your file and delete "db.hex" at the end of the file. No worry, it will not corrupt the file. It's just a few letters and numbers that needs to be deleted to match the original file name you are gonna replace. Drag and drop your new edited db file into the box db files. Or in TDU Modding Tools click on Replace > Keep name then navigate toward your new db file, select it then click on "open". Done TDUF: Adding New Slots (New fast method) INTRODUCTION lalalala /!\ MAKE SURE TO BACKUP YOUR ORIGINAL FILES BEFORE MODDING /!\ A\ Add a new slot lalalala B\ Add new wheels Add wheels is certainly easier and faster than adding a car. 1\ Add wheels on a brand new slot 2\ Add wheels on an existing slot Let's practice on a nice set of Saleen S7 wheels made by -=[(ELVIS)]=- . The Saleen S7 Twin Turbo already exist in the game. It's got one set of very simple silver rims in the stock TDU game. Let's add 2 new sets of some nice silver chrome and black wheels ! Open TDUF, Load Database. Click on Settings (2), Profile "Vehicule Slots" (3). [Also known as TDU_CarPhysicsData.db in the DB.Bnk file] Select a desired vehicle you want to add wheels. (4). Select "Wheels" (5). In the list, select one of the wheels that is recommended to replace by the modder (6). In this case, It's the S7T_F_01.bnk. So the REF of the wheel is 1209545995. To find the name of the BNK file and the link to it's REF, click on the arrow (7). Now You get on a different side of the database. [This is TDU_Rims.db in the DB.Bnk file] click on the little "C" (1). This will actually copy the original line and create a new one with it's specific own REF ! Now you need to make your copy unique and make it readable by TDU. You will have to edit the following values by clicking the arrow: Manufacturer (2). It's M if the wheel added is the same manufacturer from the original wheel. O if the wheel added is for a differenet manufacturer. In this case for the S7, I leave it untouch. Name (3) (M) Displayed name (4) (M). That's the name showed in the showroom before you buy the car. Price (5) (M) Spoke (6) (M) Directory (7) (M but can be O). Important this one. Modify it only if you have BBS wheels for exemple and you want to create a BBS foler in Bnk\Vehicules\Rim\. Modify this value tell the game where to search for the wheel Bnk files. So for our S7 wheels, let's leave it on Saleen. M = Mandatory O = Obligatory (8) is gonna be the same process for the front and the rear. Do the Front wheels then the Rear wheels. To finish... C\ Connect your added wheels to the car lalalala D\ Adjusting the added vehicule Go down bellow to [Adjusting the mod] CONCLUSION AND RESULT lalalala Adjusting the mod A\ Edit the Rim Size 1\ Editing Manually lalalala 2\ With TDUF: lalalala B\ Edit the Car height lalalala C\ Ajust the Camera lalalala D\ Set the IK lalalala E\ Add Colors lalalala F\ Add the vehicle into a Dealership lalalala TDU Performance Editor [TDUPE] INTRODUCTION lalalala TDU Modding Tools [TDUMT] INTRODUCTION lalalala TDUF INTRODUCTION Download: Djey's tutorial and thread where you can ask all your questions: lalalala

5. View File TDU - Quieter Transmission Whine A redux version of a mod I posted on the Discord originally. Uploaded to TurboDuck for permanence. This mod reduces all transmission whine (except from reversing) by ~50% normally, or ~80% for the quieter option. It's at a volume that's still audible, but not louder than the engine audio. The main version is recommended since the quieter version can barely be heard. Preview (of the main version) If I messed something up, please report it. The quieter version was untested, and I don't use this mod when I play. Submitter fhqwhgads Submitted 08/26/2019 Category Others / UI

10. Hello Everyone! Can any experienced modder can do a repaintable Volkswagen W12 Syncro and Volkswagen W12 Roadster? Us, as in TDU players know that VW W12 and Roadster cannot be repainted (unless you take it to a paintjob shop that lets you respray any color you technically want) Since VW W12's are in 2 main colors; Red and Yellow, while interiors are Blue and Orange-ish. Anyone would be happy to get a car that you can repaint in 2-4 colors. Exterior and interior of course, If anyone can or does that everyone will be happy to cruise in a car with their desired color of choice.

13. Before anyone on PC jumps in about it being "X using mod Y", please keep this topic to only the standard games and the way they can be played. Thanks. The handling in an open world and free roam racing game is always a hot topic. You have your casual players who like nothing more than being able to easily hit the roads and fields and have the car behave in a controllable manner, then you have the in-betweeners (simcaders?) who like a little bit of fight with their vehicles but not too much that understeer and oversteer make them panic, and then you have the simulators, who like nothing more than a truly authentic experience. (and would probably wish for real fuel consumption, tyre wear and the need to wash and wax your car after every outing :p) Forgetting all about those different types, it needs to be remembered that the driving in the game itself is the core of it all, and if it's crap, then it doesn't matter how big, detailed and jam-packed full of features it is, as you're not going to have much fun when playing through it if the handling annoys you. You might be able to endure it enough to make it through, and perhaps the tuning, modification and photo mode features or whatever else is available, are so enjoyable that they themselves take over. But it's the game's world that matters most, no? And if you can enjoy it as well as all of the extras, then a damn good game you have found Now, not every game is going to have everything you want, and I am only asking for the game that in your view had the best driving feeling, for you, and to briefly say why it was the case. In my opinion I still find it hard for any game to beat the feeling of the original... Forza Horizon. There was a nice balance between all the different drive types, the frightening speed through monster power, and the feeling of weight and inertia displayed by the vehicles. I got to try FH2, and FH3, but only briefly, and I did not like the way it seemed to have regressed and felt a bit more floaty than their oldest ancestor. Was FH too close to FM for some and so they dialled it back? The Rally Expansion also is a clear indicator of why I rank FH as the best, the feeling of the car tackling those routes and struggling for traction, Scandinavian flicking, bogging down at points, and the pulling off a perfect handbrake turn was just glorious. If you can, I really recommend you check it out and judge for yourself.
14. hi, i play TDU since it came out and i wanna add more horsepower to Nissan Skyline GTR R34. 15. Something the world did not see, yet. White tires . Now every game developer and tire manufacturer needs to ask me for permission to produce white tires, because it was my idea, of course i'm kidding. Why not glow in the dark tires in real world ?. People would see cars better at evening and night from the side. Also i thought about a bit transparent tires, with led light from the rim inner side so the tires are glowing, how cool would that be, and also very much saver. Just do it. I plan to add, a little bit more dusty dirty look on the rolling surface (done), another profile i allready have in mind (done), unlimited ammount of own art wire tires ( also for grey &or black version if it's good looking with it ), funny sidemarkings like ''Good yes'', ''Spirelli'' or ''Advent'' ( i won't use original names ), coloured wire tires for every version, white wire tires for grey and black version, grey wire tires for white & black version, black wire tires for white & grey version, black & grey version without & with funny sidemarking, tires wire sidemarkings funny version of, kidding . 17. Name : ''Adventtime Sparkle'' Creator : DJoyTinnio Well as the title says it is adventtime. Normally i wanted to make the first ADVENT tire fun mod, but then it came to this. Ok to be honest, i had a top secret deal with TDU developers years ago before game came out you know, wich included, that they would make the dead autumn leaves, pushed arround by the wind, appear and dissapear like they want without any reason. Sorry for that. But it was neccessary for me, because i thought of replacing that leaves with something more let's say, ''alive'', later on, with gloworms :-). There, the disappearing and appearing is the case, when you see or not see the dark back of them, while they are moving. I allready forgot about it. Now yesterday and the day before i was very happy because of milli's new community pack. [RELEASED] Test Drive Unlimited Ultra Community Pack v1.03 | turboduck forum And it seems like everytime i am happy about something, i remember something nice i wanted to do, or could do, and of course in the best case, also for others. Now if that's not christmas, i don't know. So for now it's sparkle that is looking like gloworms in a bit distance also. It's shimmering, it's floating, it's flashing & hiding in the grass and trees, very nice. I want to try a 4 coloured version of it too, because of adventtime. And later i bring the little green light showing animals into it. Put this into fx folder. ( backup or rename old file into particlesOrginal.bnk for example, while you are trying the mod ). File-Upload.net - adventtimesparkle.rar
18. Yo hello. So i don't know if i'm late with the news but i've just seen ReShade release 3.0 the past few days and it's phenomenal for me. It's got the easiest interface i've experienced so far for third party post processing programs and even installing it is very simplistic. No more SweetFX+Reshade. It's just one smooth mod. I have also just started playing TDU 1, but i've already played TDU 2 so. I know, not cool. Theses first few photos are me fiddling with ReShade + the timescale mod which makes everything orange. The rest are without the timescale mod. Just look at that beaut!! It does its job very well and the FPS loss is not noticable on my system (a mid-spec build), except only for processes like cartoonify. My settings have around 5 or more processes enabled. So then, to the main point of this post, because it's not just a gallery. ReShade 3.0 uses d3d9.dll. Which also happens to be the second file of only two files of TDU Project Paradise. I tried looking around for a way to get the two work together, and one was using EnbInjector, keeping TDUPP's .dll as the main and writing ReShade's .dll as a proxy library on the injector's .ini file. Which didn't work. There was also another workaround, which involves using the dinput8.dll, which seems to be an API loader, and store ReShade's files in a /scripts named folder. Unfortunately the community patch also uses dinput8.dll. I wonder how i can make this work? Besides. My game was also messed up by all the patches and mods, i am going to have to study how to install them properly first. Some cars and parts weren't showing up, and the game crashed frequently.
19. TDU3 or not TDU3? That is the question! In business some strange things can happen that can basically result in a complete orbit of circumstances, companies close down and then re-open as something new but then the new shuts and we find ourselves back with the previous starting afresh, almost like a resurrection of sorts. This looks like it could be the case with the now defunct Eden Games who as we all know made the fantastic Test Drive Unlimited (TDU) and the why why why?!! sequel of Test Drive Unlimited 2. Now though it looks like we have a new old new company in Eden Studios, if you follow the link you can see they are looking for staff to work on the "game development of a [sports] car game" and that a very familiar face shows itself in the domain registration details; none other than Eden Game co-founder and tduck owning Mr David Nadal! *applause* So what does this mean? Does it mean a Test Drive Unlimited 3 is coming? Does it mean a game like TDU but not TDU is coming by those behind TDU and TDU 2? I don't know to be honest and sure enough a number of the main people behind TDU now work at Ivory Tower on The Crew which is due later this year and is excitedly said to be "the spiritual successor to Test Drive Unlimited". However rest assure that I will try and put a spy in their office - preferably in a cupboard with breathing holes - to get the lowdown on this new old studio and what plans they have in mind and what motions they are getting into. If the name doesn't ring a bell then all you need to know that is even before TDU came this wonderful studio brought us games such as V-Rally (and it's successors) and the incredibly good NFS: Porsche Unleashed, so they do know how to make a damn fine racing game when they put their minds to it. Either way it's good to see them back and we hope that this time they don't go the route of of before and instead concentrate on getting the core driving down first before doing any of the other side parts as at the end of the day folks, a driving game should be enjoyable to just drive in right? Alternatively they may be jumping into mobile and tablet development or *shock horror* - a free-to-play game!! Whatever it is we'll be watching and listening. Hey you! Yeah you, check out our forums and join in the discussion!?
20. So, i was going to publish a little bit, on each advent, but instead there is one big present for the entire christmas time. I hope this is ok :-). This project is to 13% done, but the result is so awesome and beautiful allready, so i decided to release it yet. The pictures show real representative ingame content. 21. Almost everyone knows this star-shaped lights at headlights. In the basic game two things i didn't like. The rays of the star have become increasingly wide gen outside, rather than pointed constantly, and also too much to see. Otherwise i find it very pretty, which is why I keep it original. and these two things have changed. (up on minor irregularities in the texture) The glow in the core I have gently boosted, and reduced the bluish. It is indeed always still blue, but throughout there is a absolutely normal now headlight white. A common car is in the download file with whitewall tires, and an outatime specialty license plate. Unfortunately just have no other. So who doesn' t care about that, can install the carlightflare with the common car bnk . For those who have too many mods in it, the file light fx.2db is individually there also. Installation instructions in the text file. a lot of fun: File-Upload.net - light-fx.rar original starlike : original :
22. I had this idea while I was watching some TDU1 gameplay :) , Car Rental. Why did they remove that from TDU2? :sulk: It's a great feature. Could some great modders out there create this mod? It's not really useful, but a VERY COOL feature, makes the game so fun to play, i.e. You had $500,000 and you wanted a Lamborgini, to show off to your friends to. Not to race in, but show off. A Lamborghini costed $600,000  but there was a car rental booth nearby. You would rent it, for, lets say, $400,000 and showed it off. Very good feature, that would be. Do you agree with me or not?
23. I'm always bored in TDU2. Anyone have ideas on what to do? I have some of my own. Please list them like this, these are some of my ideas: Cruising around, cockpit view, following the street rules Doing police chases with other people Creating a cop car and arresting people Freewalking around Hawaii and hitching a ride Instructions on the last two here: Cop Car instructions: Create a cop car (friend me, i'll invite you to my house. TDU2 gamertag: AnomynousKilles) Come to the Ibiza asphalt racing school, there's a runway. I'll be there at certain times. Say in chat if you want to join. Learn the manuovers Chase someone who has violated. Set their fine to your stake. Tell them to let you win. If they don't have enough cash, co-op them and take them o the nearest police station. Freewalk instructions: Purchase the Nakuli loft in Hawaii. Go near the sofa and against the wall the sofa is resting on. Go through it. Turn right and walk out that way. Go forward until you reach a building with a low wall parking lot. Turn right towards the shoes billboard. Turn left. Keep going forward until you reach a 3-space car park which is fenced off. Stand in front of a car which is turning forward from your direction. Stay in line with the car until you get to the end of the road. Get off there and go forward under the water. Go in the yellow-white stuff [WARNING] Don't go in that stuff. These are all my ideas. Please list yours like this. TDU2 Gamertag: AnomynousKilles *The Freewalk only works in 0.4 Unofficial Patch
24. Here's something none us were NOT expecting but is their plan to do this in order to breakaway from their parent a good idea? Could it be that the dodgy decision making, the abysmal customer service and operations, the lack of info and the let's face it completely horrid method of running a business over the past number of years all down to those in France? Yeah sure. Thanks. Atari hit by dwindling revenue, files for bankruptcy | VG247
