  1. The Thrustmaster Ferrari 458 Italia I had ordered was delivered today and I was excited to finally play some driving games properly as my previous wheel broke down a while ago. My favorite driving game, for the reason of being a fan of Top Gear UK, is Test Drive Unlimited. The very last thing I expected to be problematic about the wheel is the compatibility as it was claimed that it has full Xbox360 and PC support. Turns out that the xbox compatibility is creating a PC compatibility problem. When I go to the control settings menu in the game and I attempt to assign anything to the wheel absolutely nothing happens. The game appears not to even acknowledge that a controller is present. I read about the problem and it turns out Test Drive Unlimited is notorious for having compatibility problems with some xbox-compatible controllers. The reason for that, I figure, is that those devices generate Xinput rather than DirectInput, which is what a standard controller generates. I tried, then, to convert one into the other with the use of the x360ce emulator, which is, as far as I can figure out, supposed to do just that. I put the executable in the game folder, I run it as administrator, I click ok to the two question boxes that ask for permission to make a file, and then the program opens up and... immediately crashes completely. Tried two different versions, same result. I also tried the Pinnacle Game Profiler and Xpadder. These programs just take the input of your controller and assign it to a key of your keyboard so that for example when in-game the throttle is assigned to "w", I can still use my controller to... control it. However, while it works lovely for all the buttons, it does not recreate the analogue axes of the wheel and the pedals and so those act like digital buttons (either full or nothing), which defeats the purpose of having a wheel in the first place. In addition to that, I installed the Microsoft Xbox360 accessories driver, and then also the XBCD driver, but they didn't do anything. I've been tinkering and bodging this thing all day and it's driving me mad as I bought a fairly pricey piece of equipment that turned out to be incompatible with the very game I wanted to play with it the most. Please somebody tell me there's a workaround or a fix. :( btw. it should be noted that the wheel works just fine with every other game I tested it with so it's not to blame.

  4. Does anyone have a complete mapping of how to get all the controls working for the Xbox 360 controller on TDU? I've got the driving down, but I can't seem to get the radio and other items to work right.
  5. If anyone is interested in joining a club for some casual cruising or occasional racing, my brand-new club is recruiting. Level 1 right now (one-man show) but money is no problem for upgrading or buying cars. We just need the experience. The club is on Hawaii, and there are no particular requirements to join. Just don't be a lalalala, and it's all good. Add me (GT: Comrade Putin) on XBL if you're interested in joining.
  6. Hello all I was just wondering if anyone would be interested in making a club for tdu2 on xbox as i never really seem to find a decent club on the xbox anymore. So if anyone would be interested in making a new club with me please let me know and we can chat more about it.

  8. Hey guys, not really too sure where else to ask this so if I am asking in the wrong place please to tell me + how to move a thread and I will. I was just wondering if it was possible to blip the throttle on a car when changing down while using the Xbox 360 controller for PC. Cheers :D
  9. http://au.gamespot.com/news/microsoft-teases-huge-xbox-360-announcement-for-e3-6408719 What could it be? :hmmm:
  10. w00t, I don't think I've made a thread on TurboDuck/TDUC since I made the thread about my car a few years ago, so this feels nice :p So basically I've been toying with the idea of buying a new Xbox 360 for the last few weeks, but I'm not sure if it's such a good idea now that the impending announcement of the next generation Xbox is nearing closer. I've thought about buying a new 360 before, I'll usually really want to buy one for a month or so and then I'll forget about it for up to six months and then I want to buy one again. My mind works in mysterious ways which just so happens to be very annoying. I do already have a 360, but it's the old style 20GB Premium white thing which has been RRODing on and off for a few years now, I did try and fix it in my own unique way last year, but I think I've royally borked (see Urban Dictionary for a correct definition) the thing now because it hasn't started once without RRODing since. To be fair I quite liked playing the thing when I could tear myself away from the PC, it made a nice change, but I had a lot more spare time then. There are also a few games which are on Xbox that are exclusive to that console which I'd love to play (Yes, Forza). These days during week I usually just have something to eat when I get home from work and then chill out in bed watching some TV and catching up on YouTube subscriptions, because I can't be bothered to go on the PC as I'm on a PC all day at work anyway. If I got an Xbox I would probably use it during the week just to chill out a bit. No, I don't want to go out and exercise or socialise instead, I'll be getting my mountain bike out when the weather is warmer anyway :p ShopTo has a bundle for sale with Forza Essentials and Skyrim digital (Got the PC version anyway) for what I think is a reasonable price for a 250GB model. I know Forza Essentials is just a cut-down version of what it should be so I'll probably buy the complete game on-top of that anyway, or Horizons. So I was just wondering if any of you current 360 owners thought it would be worth buying a new 360 now despite the impending announcement of the newer model? Please, either completely talk me in to it or completely talk me out of it, and then I can just wait for the Xbox 720/1080/2/3/28 if need be. This week would be an ideal time to buy one (if I was going to get one) as I'm at home all week so I won't need to worry about being in for delivery. tl;dr: Already have an Xbox, but I'm a monkey and broke it more than it already was. Now I'm thinking about getting another one.
  11. If you remember back in 2011 there was a Japanese site where some images were found of the Range Rover and other in-game shots that we all enjoyed seeing. Well this same website has got a new section up showing off the DLC2 and it's contents with a release date of 29th May 2012 and something else shortly after for the PS3. Now the first DLC was delayed heavily for the PS3 due to something that was needing changed or was unapproved in respect to the Japanese edition so maybe, just maybe, this is there way of making peace. Probably not but hey from the look of it the Japanese community of players will also get their hands on the Casino and other DLC that has been withheld from this long so who knows what monsters are lurking in the swamp. How is that relevant to this? I don't know but all the same I need some cookies and FAST! :ilc: ##### UPDATE: GM.Jahia has confirmed it's true ##### Xbox 360: May 29th, 2012 - Worldwide PS3: * US - May 29th, 2012 * Japan - May 31st, 2012 * Europe - June 6th, 2012 Cyberfront.co.jp DLC2 Dated for Xbox 360 and PS3!
  12. I pulled together some MS points and am taking out a server rental for the remainder of the week and perhaps the next 2, does anyone feel like playing it? Haven't decided if it will be a private screwing about server or a ranked one yet. :mhmm:
  13. beat Cjwilson33 time in the king of the track rivals, using the mazda mx5. cj''s time is 1:13:980, shortly, beat him (wich should be retarded easy, considering cj's a pro driver in real life, but obviously sucks in forza :fp:) beat it, and you will receive a Ferrari 360 Challenge stradale (unicorn car) and a painted pagani huayra (you will get that anyways if you post up ANY time)

  17. E3 - Xbox Experience [uPDATED 25/10/08] The New Xbox Experience is coming November 19th John Schappert, Corporate Vice President of Xbox LIVE, Services and Software, announced today during his Tokyo Game Show keynote that the New Xbox Experience will ship to Xbox 360's around the world (in 26 countries, localized in 11 languages) on November 19th 2008. From MAjor Nelson NXE: Memory Upgrade Program Details Hey everyone - you've probably seen the buzz online about the NXE Memory Upgrade Program, and I've certainly seen a bit of confusion around it. You can find full details on your local Xbox.com now at www.Xbox.com/storage (this page also links to the Memory Upgrade Program page), but to try and make it as clear and simple as possible here's the deal: To receive the New Xbox Experience when it launches on November 19 you will need at least 128 MB of memory either on your console itself, on a removable Memory Unit, or on a hard drive. If you DO NOT have this memory available through any of these methods you may be eligible for a memory upgrade offer - visit Xbox.com/storage for the details. You will need to provide your GamerTag, your console ID number and your console serial number. Instructions on how to find these are on the site. Naturally, the more storage memory you have in your console the more you'll be able to enjoy all the downloadable features NXE will bring. Just to reiterate, you can find all the details and a link to the Memory Upgrade program at your local Xbox.com: www.Xbox.com/storage. Hope that's all clear - if not let me know! From aceybongos blog Some of the features in the new Xbox experience (8 person chat, VGA support and more) Xbox LIVE GM Marc Whitten (Notwen) has sent me the following letter to share with the Xbox LIVE Community. I goes into a little more detail about some of the new features that are coming as part of the new Xbox Experience this Fall. I'll work on getting Marc on a future show to discuss further. Dear Xbox LIVE Member, When we launched Xbox 360 in November 2005, Xbox LIVE was integrated directly into the console. Back then, Xbox 360 was the first system to deliver access to experiences beyond just the disc in the tray. With the Xbox guide and dashboard you had access to everything on your console as well as your community. We also imagined that Xbox experience would continuously improve over time, through the power of software. Since launch, you’ve always pushed us to continuously innovate. It is because you spoke with one loud voice that we added new features like background downloading, 1080p support, movies and TV shows, video chat, a Marketplace blade and instant messaging. Over time, as we’ve delivered more and more content into the Xbox LIVE Marketplace, we’ve heard from many of you that it has become increasingly difficult to find the games and content you want. And that brings us to today. Because of your feedback, we started rethinking the entire Xbox experience. What we discovered was that we could not only provide a better experience for you, but also something that reaches out to new audiences. What John Schappert unveiled for the world on stage at E3 was just a sneak preview, so I wanted to share some deeper details on some of the new features in the new Xbox experience. Here is a look at some additional features you will find interesting: · Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game. · Access Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web. Browse and purchase Marketplace content whenever you want from Xbox.com and it downloads automatically to your console. Purchase that new map, television episode, the latest Xbox LIVE Arcade game or set up a movie to watch when you get home from work. · Dashboard built into the new Xbox Guide. For everyone who loves the blades interface, it’s not going away; they are now built directly in to the new Xbox guide. Every feature and option is available right from the guide. You can even access your full games library at all times. No matter where you are (in dash or in game), immediately call up your games played list and directly launch a game. · LIVE Party system. Create a party of up to eight friends, and stay with them from one game to another, or watch a Netflix movie together, or share a slideshow of your personal photos. It works with all Xbox 360 titles, not just upcoming games. LIVE Party allows up to eight people to chat in the dashboard, so you can meet up before playing. · Xbox LIVE Primetime. This whole new category of games is going to give you more reasons to get online with your friends. Games will support everything you’d expect, like Achievements and leader boards, but many of these games will include real prizes. You can invite your friends, and even set a reminder for an upcoming show. Each game is broadcast simultaneously, so everyone is answering the same questions. Many events will have a live host, calling the shots as they happen. · Avatars. Your online identity started as a Gamertag - it then grew into a personalized Gamercard. Now, it has evolved even further into avatars. You can express your style, check out new outfits and share this with the community. Avatars will also be integrated into Xbox LIVE Arcade games, LIVE Party, as well as retail games. · New display support. Because you asked for it, we are adding 16X10 over VGA or HDMI, and support for 1440x900 or 1680x1050. This is only the beginning. Over the next few months, we will share more details on the upcoming changes. See you online, Marc Whitten Gamertag- Notwen # # # Edge magazine have had a hands on of the new Xbox Experiance, http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/...-live-part-one and heres part 2 of that article: http://www.edge-online.com/magazine/...side-xbox-live Update 13/9/08 New Xbox Experience: Games played Today we’re kicking off a series of posts around the upcoming New Xbox Experience (known internally as NXE) where were going to go show off some some new screenshots and details. Today we are showing you what you’re games played list will look like. If you attended my demo at PAX this year, you’ll recall I spent some time on this area. If you missed the demo, head over to the Gamerscore blog where Sara has posted a few more details around what you can expect in your new Games Played slot. I’ll have Marc Whitten on the show this week to talk about what you can expect in the coming weeks in terms of posts about new NXE features. From Major Nelson New Xbox Experience: A look at Avatars Ever since Avatars in the new Xbox experience were unveiled at E3 eariler this year, people have been asking to see more. In this week's Developer Diary, I do a quick look at the Avatar creation section of the new Xbox experience. While this is by no means a complete walk- through, it will give you an idea of what is coming with this part of the new Xbox experience. (click link to see video) From Major Nelson. New Xbox Experience: Themes and Friends Channel In this weeks Developer Diaries, we take a look at the new themes and the Friends channel. This is to follow up on the themes we showed you at E3. We’ve got some new screenshots that show what the new themes will look like, as well as how current themes will appear. We also take a look at the friends channel, which is where you’ll see your friends avatars (don’t worry…the friends list as you know it is still available in the guide.) Head on over to Flickr to see more screens and the Gamerscore blog for more details. From Major Nelson Update 3/10/08 New Xbox Experience: Games Marketplace This week, we take a look at the Games Marketplace. As you can tell in the below before and after screenshots, the team has done some great work in redesigning the Marketplace to showcase information about each game. In addition to seeing the downloads available for each game, you’ll also be able to look at screen shots and game details (like on Xbox.com.) The Gamerscoreblog has a more in depth post about this, but I’ve posted the high resolution versions of these (and more new Marketplace images) on my Flickr so you can see it for yourself. Marketplace Today Marketplace in the New Xbox Experience (available later this year) Also, For those that are wondering: The New Xbox Experience will ship later this year. As in before the New Year. From Major Nelson Update 11/10/08 (or 10/11/08 depending on what side of the pond your on) New Xbox Experience: Marketplace on the Web One of the cool new features that our team has been working on is Marketplace on the web. When the New Xbox Experience launches on November 19th, you’ll be able to browse the Marketplace on Xbox.com, and queue up downloads. The next time you turn on your Xbox 360, the aforementioned items will begin to download. Also, when I make a post about a new demo, or DLC here, I’ll be able to link directly to that download so you can read it here, click the link and automagically add it to your download queue. Easy. Head over to the Gamerscoreblog for screenshots. Search Results for "****": Game Detail Page: Purchase Confirmation: Download Queue: Info Major Nelson, Pics gamerscoreblog New Xbox Experience: Community Games When the New Xbox Experience is available on November 19th, a whole new way to experience games will be available. The Xbox LIVE Community Games Channel, powered by the XNA Creators Club, is going to allow aspiring developers to share their creations with the 14–million Xbox LIVE members. This week, I caught up with Kathleen Sanders from the XNA Communty team who shares some details: *click link for video* From Major NElson Update 25/10/08: New Xbox Experience: Netflix and Video Marketplace This week, we take a brief look at how Netflix and the Xbox LIVE Video Marketplace will look in the New Xbox Experience. Sara over at the Gamerscore blog has posted details and a couple of screenshots to give you an idea of what to expect on November 19th. The New Xbox Experience Preview program I know that many of you are excited to get your hands on the New Xbox Experience, which will go live all Xbox LIVE regions wide on November 19th. Well, we’re just as excited to as you are so I am happy to announce that I’ve been working on a little project that I think may interested you. Working with various teams across Xbox, we’ve developed a program to allow a select few of you early access to NXE. How do you get chosen? The first step is to head on over to Microsoft Connect, sign in with your Windows LIVE ID and join the "Xbox 360 Fall 2008 Preview Program" by clicking on this link, https://connect.microsoft.com/Invita...YWQ&SiteID=719. Once you do that, you need to fill out the "Xbox 360 Fall Flash Preview Sign Up" survey in order to be considered for receiving the Preview System Update. We're asking a few questions about where you live, your home network, ISP connection and a few other pieces of information. We are looking for a good cross-section of our members in order to get the best feedback we can. The LIVE Service team will then review all of the applications and if you’re selected we’ll send you an email notifying you of your acceptance in the program. A couple of points before you head off to register: · We’re looking for a few thousand participants, so your chances of making it in are good · This opportunity is open to all Xbox LIVE Members in regions where Xbox LIVE is available · Just completing the survey does not automatically get you access to the NXE. We’ll be making final selections from from the completed surveys. · Xbox LIVE Gold and Silver members can sign up. Priority will be given to Gold members in the selection process. If you are accepted, you'll hear from us in about a week. Make sure your information on Connect is updated so we can email you. Good luck! From Major Nelson

  19. ......with a new controller New Green Xbox 360 Controller - Win One to Try Out! If you've been keeping up with the news coming out of Leipzig this week you'll have heard the reports of a new green Xbox 360 controller spotted in the wilds of Konami's booth. You may also have heard that it has an enhanced D-pad, that has been developed in line with community feedback in order to offer an improved experience for gamers who like to use the D-pad for games like PES and Street Fighter. In fact, the pad has been specially optimised for use with PES2009, hence the reason Konami was using it on their booth to demo the new game. The pad itself is a limited edition that will be available soon, and the reason it's green is that the community has requested this colour more than any other! Apparently it is easy being green, Kermit obviously didn't know what he was on about. More pics down in the Gallery. It's really nice too - I know because I've got one sitting right here on my desk, and I used it to play PES2009 last week. Since I'm an old-school PS2 PES fan I always used the D-pad to play the game before it came to Xbox 360, and I'll be honest and say that it took me AGES to get used to using the stick on the Xbox 360 version. So the new D-pad was pretty special for me - it feels a lot more connected, a lot more reactive, and less clicky-clacky - you can change directions more quickly and combine movements in a much more fluid way. Good work, D-pad development fellas! In fact, I like it so much that I'm going to give it away. If you love it, set it free and all that. So, if you would like to try out the new green controller for yourself all you need to do is send me an email to [email protected] with 'I WANNA GREEN CONTROLLER' in the subject line telling me why you think you're the ideal person to test out the new D-pad. Be funny. Be daft. Be scientific. But be interesting, because I'll pick the reason that intrigues me the most - and then I'll ask you to write me a short review of what you think of the controller and I'll post it on the blog. Couple of rules: This is open to anyone in Europe only. My decision, which will be made on Friday September 29, is final. And I'll delete all your emails as soon as I've picked a winner - they won't be stored or used for anything else. Don't say I'm not good to you... From AceyBongos
  20. Xbox 360 System update now available (no new features) A few minutes ago, the team released a system update for the Xbox 360 over Xbox LIVE. Sometime over the next few hours when you sign in to Xbox LIVE you’ll recieve a prompt to accept this mandatory update. This update contains code to ‘prepare for future growth of the service.’ There are no other changes or enhancements in this update…in other words no new features. To be clear: This is not the new Xbox experience update. That will come in the Fall. From Major Nelson
  21. Well as you can probably guess from the title my 360 has RRoD. On Sunday the screen went wierd but was ok, then on monday it happened on GTA turned it off then on it had RRoD, so off and on it went and it was fine got GTA out the tray and left it. Then logged on last night to see who was on and the screen went turned it off then on a few times and it wouldn't boot and and then RRoD everytime I try now. Now I dunno what to do here are my options: Phone M$ and get it fixed. Buy an Elite or a Core (and put my HDD on it) Leave it as I was getting bored with it. I'm still undecided atm. Also do I have to phone M$ or can I do it online?
