  1. Assetto Corsa Competizione Full Version Released The wait is over. After many months in Early Access, publisher 505 Games and developer Kunos Simulazioni have released the full version of their Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of the Blancpain GT Series on Steam. Assetto Corsa Competizione allows players to experience the real atmosphere of the FIA GT3 homologated championship, including official drivers, teams, cars and circuits, reproduced in-game with the highest level of accuracy. Developed using Unreal Engine 4 to ensure a visual treat, Assetto Corsa Competizione sets a new standard in driving realism and immersion, including the introduction of variable weather conditions and night races. Virtual drivers will experience a simulation of the Blancpain GT Series by taking the wheel of one of the game’s featured luxury motorcars including Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Aston Martins, or choose from a number of other prestigious GT racing cars, all replicated with an outstanding level of detail. Using LaserScan technology, every official circuit has been recreated with precision with the utmost accuracy, a level of detail appreciated by the real-life drivers of Blancpain GT Series who actively took part in the development process and use Assetto Corsa Competizione to train before the actual races. Assetto Corsa Competizione V1.0 is now available on Steam for a Promotional launch price of €40,49. 2. Assetto Corsa Competizione – Official Community FAQ Just over a week ago, Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games revealed Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. Naturally a flurry of questions have been asked about what exactly it is and several other important factors, and so, they’ve answered a selection of them to help us better understand. To summarise the more important aspects: Competizione is a whole new game, not just a break-off (so it is AC2 then?) At this time, Competizione is being developed only for PC (Steam) and this will continue throughout the ‘Early Access’ period (so a possible move to console once ACC 1.0 comes perhaps?) Competizione will use an improved version of the AC physics engine and not those of Unreal Engine 4 AC will continue to remain online for as long as people are active on it but new updates and content will not be forthcoming as the all the team is now on Competizione Full day and night are in In regards to modding, it is best to see the last question as it sounds like they are unable to commit to it because of their inexperience with the new engine (potential for some smart cookies to work it out afterwards?) The whole (brief) Q&A is listed below. What is Assetto Corsa Competizione? Assetto Corsa Competizione is our all-new racing simulation that reproduces the Blancpain GT Series Championship managed by SRO and based on the GT3 homologation. ACC is not an additional module or an extension of Assetto Corsa but a different, new and separate product altogether! Is AC Competizione a spin-off of Assetto Corsa? Absolutely not! We are developing AC Competizione from scratch. It takes advantage of the Blancpain GT experience, know-how and data collection acquired while working on AC. However, AC Competizione is not AC featuring the Blancpain GT Series. It is a completely new game that will offer realistic car handling as well as new features and gameplay not seen before in our products. Will AC Competizione be available on PC Steam only, or on console too? Right now, all our efforts are going into developing Assetto Corsa Competizione on Steam, during Early Access. Does AC Competizione use the UE4 Engine’s physics? AC Competizione will feature an evolution of the physics engine already used in Assetto Corsa, completely independent from UE4’s built in physics. What is going to happen to Assetto Corsa now you’re working on Competizione? The game will continue to be available for purchase, servers for multiplayer and lobbies will be kept open and active for as long as people continue to play it. The game will not receive further updates now (It has now been 7 years since AC development started and 4 years from its 1.0 release) Our entire team is now focused on AC Competizione. Why the Blancpain GT Series? What does make it so special? When we started to figure out what the new AC would have to be, we saw that -including AC- the current generation of racing games offers a huge variety of “generic” titles performing multiple race modes with any kind of cars. This usually results in finding a compromise in terms of score, racing rules, gameplay modes etc. On the other side, very few games are dedicated to a specific race series that can be completely simulated in all its detail and, more importantly, can keep gamers focused. Whenever we’ve asked the community for their opinion, GT racing was always on the top of their wish list, and we found that the Blancpain GT Series fits the bill! Featuring Sprint races, endurance, night racing, driver swaps, official teams and drivers, these are exactly the things our fans asked for! Not to mention the best GT cars available, in their racing outfit, that results in lightness, handling, grip and brake power. Add to this formula the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and you get the best thrilling GT racing series ever. Will we see a day / night cycle in Assetto Corsa Competizione? Yes – Players will be able to race at any time of the day, thanks to a realtime, full day / night cycle. What are the recommended system requirements for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Our minimum target specification is currently an i5-2500/AMD FX-8100 or equivalent, 4 GB RAM and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760. However, right now, it’s way too early to be more precise. Over time, we’ll be able to be more specific later as we continue to develop ACC. Therefore, if you are considering upgrading your hardware configuration, we strongly suggest you wait for our Early Access before upgrading. Will Assetto Corsa Competizione be moddable? And will modders be able to port their work onto AC Competizione? Assetto Corsa’s structure was designed from the beginning to be moddable. Being developed with UE4, AC Competizione processes data and assets through a completely different structure and file format. Therefore, the game will not be compatible with mod contents created for Assetto Corsa. Also, our team does not have enough experience with UE4 to tackle both the development a brand-new game and the challenges of supporting an open platform in the time frame available for this project. We are fully aware of the importance of modding and its contribution to the success of Assetto Corsa. It’s a great way for new talents to emerge, for the community to “suggest” new directions and/or simply to make a product richer. It is not a coincidence that some of the best community members are now contributing with us to the evolution of the software. However, for ACC this element will have to be put in stand-by mode for a series of reasons. The most important one is that we have given ourselves an enormous task of rebuilding, once again our software from (almost) scratch. In a world where pretty much, every product you see on the market in simracing is an evolution of games that have been on the market 10-15 years ago, our approach is to get a big axe and reset things to (almost) zero before starting with a new project. ACC is no exception. In this case the task is rendered more complex by the fact that we are using, for the first time a third party engine that we did not design ourselves and the truth is, given the amount of time we have available to deliver ACC to the public, we have more than enough on our hands trying to figure out how to use the engine effectively to also think about how to make the platform moddable. As you can imagine, this has been source of endless discussions in the last year and half as every decision comes with pros and cons, there is going to be pain no matter what your final call will be. It goes without saying that we believe we made the right call even if that means losing the huge benefits of a moddable platform. [via 505 Games]
  3. Assetto Corsa Competizione Kunos Simulazioni told us last week to watch out for today and the reason for that has been revealed, with the announcement of Assetto Corsa Competizione. First off, this isn’t a sequel, so it’s not Assetto Corsa 2, it’s actually a more evolved spin-off, and the reason for this is that ACC is the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. A series that is incredible to watch, featuring popular Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi, and other supercars, kitted out in GT3 racing guise, battling hard against one another, often at high speeds. Only announced for a summer release on Steam Early Access right now, ACC looks like it might follow on in the same vein as the original. Although hopefully because of the popularity of Assetto Corsa, the take up will be so rapid that a console version will be announced shortly thereafter. Wait... it’s not a sequel? Looking at the announcement trailer it would be easy to believe that this could be a sequel, but it’s not, and even though it now uses Unreal Engine 4 which delivers vastly improved visuals and effects, has day to night transitions, weather, and will use motion capture technology to create new animations of drivers and the mechanics in order to produce an accurate sense of being a part of the race, this is still not a direct AC sequel. Featuring an extraordinary level of simulation quality that allows players to experience the unique atmosphere of this GT3 Series, players can compete against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. In fact like the very start of the video says, this game is all about getting back to the core of racing, and as you would expect of a title being “official”, the drivers, teams, cars and circuits of the Blancpain series will feature. There will even be driver changes! Motion capture technology is used to create the animations of mechanics and drivers in an even more realistic fashion and guarantee a high level of player engagement during races, pit stops and driver changes. Racing real people? Of course, in fact there will be an even better multiplayer portion to ACC including a driver ranking system like that found in iRacing and Gran Turismo Sport. Anything that inspires good clean fights up (or down) the grid together with fair competition, is fine by us! All in all this is a direction many probably never saw coming for the next AC, but it won’t I suspect be an unwanted one, and we are only at the very beginning of learning all about it anyway, so let's see what further information comes out before we make up our minds. 4. Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition Announced As the Bonus Pack 3 content pack starts to arrive on console – starting first with the PS4 only days ago – comes the announcement of a brand new Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition, a complete package containing everything that has come to the acclaimed simulation racer since its launch. That means all the premium packs such as the Red Pack, Japanese Pack, the trio of Porsche Packs, Ferrari 70th Anniversary and the others, along with all the free Bonus Packs and content that has landed over its time, helps take the total amount of content to 178 cars and 16 circuits with 33 track configurations: including real-world legends such as Spa, Laguna Seca and Nürburgring, with fantasy tracks Black Cat County and Highlands mingling in. No doubt a final farewell to the original game, and a good way to entice those who never jumped in to see just what they have been missing, the Ultimate Edition is out for PS4 and Xbox One on April 20th. Setting up those who like what they see, to keenly watch whatever is next to come from the Kunos development team. Awesome to see a developer use the ‘Ultimate Edition’ label and actually mean it. The End of Assetto Corsa? Presumably, this signals the end of support for the original AC by Kunos, as only minutes after revealing this did they tease that “something big is going to happen” on February 21st, together with a hint that it would be a good idea to watch the official site. Is the next Assetto Corsa game announcement less than a week away? Well, I guess we’ll know this time next week. [via Assetto Corsa Official]
  5. Assetto Corsa 'Ferrari 70 Pack' Console Release Date The Assetto Corsa ‘Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack’ for PS4 and Xbox One has a release date! Kunos Simulazioni have announced on Facebook that console players will be able to download the new celebratory pack on October 31st. This new premium (not included in Season Pass remember!) seven-car pack celebrates the 70th anniversary of one of the most infamous automotive manufacturers and motorsport racing names in history. Many of their cars, be it those suited to the road or dedicated racers have become legends in their own right – with the Prancing Horse logo and badge being so well known, that even the most uninformed person could likely name it. Steeped in success and excess, the contents of the pack include many familiar faces grills. From classics to modern-day, road cars to racing cars, even to the present-day Scuderia Ferrari Formula One racecar currently competing in this year's championship! Included after a public poll voted it the outright winner. This and the rest of the Ferraris included are shown below: Assetto Corsa - Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack 1962 250 GTO 1967 330 P4 1967 312/67 1984 GTO 2004 F2004 2017 812 Superfast SF70H Kudos Kunos! Stating not too long ago that they were looking to bring down the time difference between content releases on PC and console, this news is a sign that this was not said to shut up moaners, but actually something they are actively working on. Players on PS4 and Xbox One might have had to wait six weeks to get it compared to those on PC, however it has to be remembered that the consoles have to go through a submission and approval process. And as has been seen in the past, delays from this can result in even longer waits (poor Xbox One players). Happily, it appears Kunos are getting a handle on this as the Ferrari 70 DLC pack passed by pretty swiftly. [via Assetto Corsa Facebook]
  6. Assetto Corsa 1.15 & Ready to Race DLC Out Now On Console Assetto Corsa on PS4 and Xbox One have received a new update that brings the console versions up to 1.15, Alongside this, the 'Ready to Race' car pack has also become available to purchase. Just like the big update of 1.14 before, this latest one introduces yet more goodness to the game that players will be thrilled to see. Improved AI that makes the computer-controlled opponents even racier will be very welcome to those who enjoy playing offline and are itching for more of a challenge. And it may have taken it’s time in getting here, having been one of the main demands since the early days of the game’s release, but customisable button mapping is now accessible. Assetto Corsa – Ready to Race PS4 & Xbox One Console players have become used to having to wait a while to get the same content that has been released previously for the PC but it still hurts when the time difference between it is realised. That 'Ready to Race' car pack that has just now dropped for the PS4 and Xbox One has taken almost four months to get to them. 'Ready to Race' Car Pack Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2014 Audi R8 LMS 2016 Audi TT Cup 2016 Audi TT RS (VLN) 2013 Lotus 3-Eleven Maserati MC12 GT1 McLaren 570S McLaren P1 GTR Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo Toyota TS040 Hybrid For many, the wait finally being over will be enough as the RTR pack is a stellar one – there is just so much variety in it with dedicated race cars, a McLaren road car and even a rally car making up its contents. (video below from PC announcement) It's good to see information starting to spill out about the game again, been a bit quiet in that area lately. But with this, along with the PC release date announcement of the Ferrari 70th Anniversary car pack, the future of AC is always something that can be looked forward to.
  7. Ferrari 70th Car Pack Release Date The Ferrari 70th Anniversary Celebration Pack for Assetto Corsa arrives on September 19th for Steam, followed shortly afterwards (supposedly) by the PS4 and Xbox One. Announced together with a video showcasing the absolute legend that is the Ferrari 250 GTO, Kunos Simulazioni have revealed that the seven car pack that was first mentioned at the start of the year has been in development for more than eight months, all of which has likely been a labour of love for the Italian studio. (yeah right) Kunos Simulazioni is glad to announce that after more than eight months of development, the Ferrari 70th Anniversary Celebration Pack finally is coming to Assetto Corsa: it will be available on Steam on September 19th, to be followed soon on PS4 and XBox One. The package as a whole will include a selection of seven of the most iconic cars ever produced by the Italian car manufacturer! With over 70 years of Ferrari road and racing car production history to choose from, it is not at all surprising to see some of the regulars within the list. The Prancing Horse may have decorated many a vehicle in its time but not all of them have become icons of the brand as compared to those that keep appearing in not only games, but also the top of public votes. Models such as the 250 GTO and the 330 P/4 are synonymous with the manufacturer’s history, while the 288 GTO is well-known in gaming circles because of the amount of titles to have included it, and let's be honest, the latest road-going model of the 812 Superfast getting its own slot is of little wonder either, as it's a commonly employed marketing tactic to have your latest featured. But hey at least this one is a bit of a beast! And even though I am still a bit upset that the F333 SP wasn't the eventual winner (it came 10th!), let's not forget that community-vote winning modern-day F1 car that is doing really well for Vettel this season. As with it, one of the more fascinating things to do with this pack will be to compare the 2017 machine to its 50 years its senior older sibling. Where something tells me, the grip levels are going to be one of major contrast. Now who doesn't want to experience that?! Assetto Corsa: Ferrari 70th Anniversary Celebration Pack 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO 1967 Ferrari 330 P/4 1967 Ferrari 312/67 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO 2004 F2004 F1 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast 2017 Ferrari SF70H (Community Poll winner) Assetto Corsa is out now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
  8. Assetto Corsa v1.14 Xbox One Assetto Corsa fans on Xbox One have had a hell of a time the last month or so watching those on PS4 enjoy everything that the v1.14 update brought and delivered to the game, but at long last, they too will get to join in. Kunos Simulazioni have confirmed on their Facebook that the update has finally passed submission and has the green light for a release some time this week. This update is being waited for eagerly, as it brings custom and private lobbies, a selection of excellent free bonus cars and the awesome Scotland-based ‘Highlands’ track. Update v 1.14 has passed submission and we will be launching mid-next week! Stay tuned for more info! Once again, thanks for your continued show of support! It means a lot to the team. Along with the usual fixes and improvements, v1.14 has been looked upon as bringing new life to the game for many and so it is good to see that those on Xbox One will be able to get in on that action too, in the coming days.
  9. Assetto Corsa Ferrari 70th Anniversary DLC Bolting out of the stable a bit prematurely than intended, the details about the upcoming Assetto Corsa Ferrari 70th Anniversary car pack have become known, together with a confirmed ‘fall 2017’ release. Thanks to user Kelvjy who brought it to our attention on our forums, the page on the official website for the game lists six Ferrari models that will make up all but one of those to be included. It’s a right stormer of a list, not just for Ferrari fans either, but for automotive enthusiasts anywhere! Assetto Corsa: Ferrari 70th Anniversary DLC 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO 1967 Ferrari 330 P/4 1967 Ferrari 312/67 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO 2004 F2004 F1 2017 Ferrari 812 Superfast As we already learned at the start of the year, the community will have an opportunity to have a say about its contents and this is taking place through them being able to decide on the final model. This is possible due to Ferrari allowing Kunos Simulazioni to reproduce the winning model from the poll for inclusion pack. All the usual suspects are in there: from historic racecars, 70s and 90s era F1, a variety of GT-class racers, and oft-forgotten road cars like the 550M and 360 Modena. Voting is performed by visitors making their choice from the available options, entering their name and email address and then finally submitting their entry. Once done, the vote cannot be changed and the current standings are not viewable either. It should be realised that because this page went up before it should have that the information contained within it isn’t officially confirmed and is very much subject to change.
  10. Assetto Corsa – Are You ‘Ready To Race’ The new Assetto Corsa ‘Ready To Race’ car pack is now available to purchase on Steam for the PC. As you might expect with a title like that, this newest ten car DLC has a strong focus on those that have taken part in, and even won, their respective championships. Taking up their grid positions within the list are multiple entries from Audi, McLaren and Toyota, together with single contributions from Lotus and Maserati. The team at Kunos have shown that they know their stuff when it comes to stacking automotive content into these packs and it is clear from what's included that ‘RTR’ is no different. With the stand outs of this pack in my view being the the rally Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo, which sports that unmistakable Castrol livery, and the Maserati MC12 GT1, which in my opinion is a better looking Enzo. However I do expect a large majority of players to gravitate towards the more modern Le Mans racecars and the road-going McLaren 570S. I certainly would say to players though to have a wee go around 'Highlands' in the Lotus 3-Eleven, as if ever there was a car and track made for each other, that would be it. (no need to worry about the rain either!) Assetto Corsa – Ready To Race Car List Audi R8 LMS 2016 Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2014 Audi TT Cup 2016 Audi TT RS VLN Lotus 3-Eleven Maserati MC12 GT1 McLaren 570S McLaren P1 GTR Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo Toyota TS040 Hybrid Console owners of the game will also see ‘RTR’ come to them but with no time specified except for “in the near future”, it’s almost a given that a decent wait will be required. Thankfully this should be made much more tolerable due to the recent release of the v1.14 update that also brought along with it, a nice amount of free bonus content. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" columns="5" size="small-post-image" ids="6967,6968,6969,6970,6971,6972,6973,6974,6975,6976,6977,6978,6979,6980,6981,6982,6983,6984,6985] An accompanying update with this pack’s release brings the PC version of the game up to this version too, with v1.14 for PC deploying a large amount of fixes and advances to further improve the title. 11. Assetto Corsa PS4 v1.14 Players of Assetto Corsa on PlayStation 4 will be delighted to hear that the update they have been waiting for has gone live, as at long last custom/private lobbies and custom championships are now a real thing thanks to this patch. And that’s not all players will get, as this update is a chunky one in free bonus content too. Providing something for both racers and drifters, the ‘Highlands’ track which is based in Scotland, is the latest environment to be added to the game. Made up of four layouts that offer their own set of challenges. New cars are on the agenda too, with five in total (3 being completely new) being added, and even though they are totally free, they are certainly not crap. There's a Group B rally legend Audi Quattro S1 E2 , a Le Mans winning Mazda 787B... and a Mazda MX-5 NA to take control of. That last one may not sound that special, but let’s remember, the MX-5 (Eunos) is lauded as one of the best drivers cars around and so when paired with the excellent physics of AC, it should be a real joy to play with. The physics engine gets an upgrade too, with the v10 tyre improvements coming to console after a solid showing on the PC. And finally, with Kunos keeping to their word from what seems a long time ago, owners of Porsche Pack Volume 3 will have the 911 RSR 2017 added to their game as a free update to that DLC.
  12. Assetto Corsa Console Update - Get Ready! The big Assetto Corsa console update (v1.14) that will add the ability to create custom lobbies, the new ‘Highlands’ track, and deliver five free bonus cars, is coming to PS4 players on May 17th. Announced on the official social media pages of the game the latest update which was detailed only recently is the BIG one for many console players, as it will give them the ability to set up their own racing lobbies online and also allow for the creation of custom championships offline. Therefore, whatever kind of racer you are, there's something here to keep you interested. It was expected that this update would likely be more towards the end of May rather than only a number of days after the earlier announcement by the team. However in saying that we are still waiting to hear about the Xbox One release. But with this being Kunos, at least we know we will be informed about whatever is happening with it, and hopefully Microsoft will supply them a drop date that they can then shout out. Many console players will be excited about the landing of this update as it brings a lot of extra content by way of the new Scotland-based 'Highlands' track (PC announcement trailer below), which was created in partnership with nVidia and Sparco because “the perfect track does not exist”. Ignoring the sales pitch, the new track and their layouts is designed to thrill and test players’ bravery with its high-speed sections along narrow roads that are littered with boulders along the edges. Factor in five new pieces of free machinery such as the Mazda 787B and this update will not only have current and previous players jumping back in, but could also sell the game to those who have waited. And if the update proves reliable, it would be hard to argue that won't be the case. [via Assetto Corsa Facebook]
  13. Assetto Corsa Console Update v1.14... update The team behind Assetto Corsa are eager to keep their console population informed about what is going on with the approaching BIG v1.14 update. Unfortunately that doesn’t include a release date, however in a posting by publisher 505 Games we learn of everything it will have when it does come. For many online racers it will be the arrival of Custom Lobbies that will be the best thing, whereas those who play offline will enjoy being able to create their own Custom Championships. And if you’re sick of the view from the cockpit position then smile, as this is now possible to customise during a session. But that’s just the tip of it, as there is an astonishing amount of FREE bonus content landing also. The “Highlands” track, based in Scotland, is the first of these, PC players have been able to enjoy this and its four configurations for a while now, but in what we hope is not too long. so too will those on PS4 and Xbox One. Highlands – The original layout, 8152 meters long, filled with fast flowing path with curves and several jumps. Highlands Long – An extension of the original layout, 12191 meters long and has all the characteristics of the original layout. This layout features some slower curves, a fast series of left and right turns, after a passage between rocks and the distinctive 3km long “Cabhag straight” Highlands Drift – A configuration born to create long powerslides with supercars and hypercars. At 5167 meters long, this layout features long, flat and smooth curves, perfect for holding a constant power slide. The “tower lùb”, guards the surroundings at the top of the hill. Highlands Short – The shortest configuration, only 1714 meters, but based entirely inside the city. Incredibly intense and requires the concentration of a pro. Should you have exhausted the usage of the current available vehicles then smile, as five more are on their way and they won’t cost you a thing. The selection is extremely varied, with two from Mazda that could not be any more different to each other (unless one of them could fly), an Audi rallying legend, a 1200bhp producing bi-turbo Lamborghini Gallardo, and an extremely nice sounding BMW M4. Those last two are kind of already existing examples in new clothes but for no cost to us, we’ll take it. Assetto Corsa – PS4 / Xbox One Free Bonus Content Highlands (4 layouts) Audi Quattro S1 E2 Mazda MX5 NA Mazda 787B BMW M4 Akrapovic Lamborghini Gallardo SL Step3 There is also a quite substantial upgrade to the physics engine, with the new v10 tyre physics added along with the following: UPGRADED PHYSICS ENGINE * Updated minimum pressures and optimum pressures for various cars. * New v10 tyre wear algorithms more sensitive to load for all cars. * Graining is now reducing when driving in good temperature conditions. * New and updated V10 street, semislick, vintage, and race slicks tyres for all cars. A total of 151 cars updated. * Updates for cars that already had V10 tyres. * Updated chassis balance and inertias for all 151 available cars. * Updated engine coast braking for street cars. * Updated Brake heat for the following cars * Shelby Cobra * Lamborghini Miura * Alfa Romeo GTA * Abarth 595 * Ford Escort RS * Ford GT40 * Lotus 25 * Lotus 49 * Maserati 250F 6C and 12C * Lotus 72D * Ferrari 312T * Ferrari F40 Don’t worry premium content buyers, you’re not being completely left out, as if you splashed out on the Porsche Pack Vol. 3 (or the Porsche Season Pass) then you will find the 911 RSR 2017 will be yours. Just like they promised. Providing there are no other delays with submission or anything else unforeseen, the long-awaited update should be with us at some point this May. 14. Porsche Pack Volume 3 – Console The latest update for Assetto Corsa, the Porsche Pack Volume 3 and Update 1.12 we reported on last week is finally out for the Playstation 4, with the updates coming to Xbox One players tomorrow. Console players of Assetto Corsa should now be getting used to being 2-3 months behind PC users when it comes to these updates, it must be very frustrating watching the clock to see when updates you've known about for a months will be available. As reported last week, the Xbox One update has suffered a delay, but thankfully the team over at Kunos have made an effort to get that delay down to just one more day. Great work! This is the final of three Porsche Packs, finishing the Assetto Corsa Porsche extravaganza. It is made up of racing icons of historic and contemporary racers. The pack was originally meant to contain a 2017 911 RSR, however this was delayed as the team felt the car was not ready for release yet and so the Turbo S was brought in to make up the numbers. Despite the swap, Kunos have promised that the new 911 RSR will land as a free upgrade to the Porsche Pack Vol. 3 when the car is ready. PORSCHE PACK VOL. 3 DLC CARS Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 Porsche 908 LH Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R Porsche 911 Turbo S The accompanying update has a few items of note, such as improvements to the damage and repair system intending to make collisions more realistic, some models have been tweaked including some cockpit instruments, and some Events for the 3 Porsche Packs and the ‘Red Pack’ have been added. The Macan Turbo, the last of the free Porsche bonus cars will be made available. Private Lobbies are not included in this update, however a comment on the Assetto Corsa’s Facebook page states that they are aiming to get it out in 1.13 (bad luck for some). Also missing is the Custom Championship feature, although you can be fairly confident that Kunos are working on getting this out for their console playing community. UPDATE V 1.12 Changelog Added support for DLC content: Porsche Pack #3 FREE bonus car! – Porsche Macan Turbo The damage and repair system has been improved. As a result, collisions will now appear more realistic Various 3D models have been tweaked and improved, including that of the cockpit instrumentation Reviewed damage curve and repair times Fixed wing damage model on Nissan GTR Fixed graphics kersCharge and kersInput for ERS system Fixed wrong online pit crew locations Improve AI cut detection Fixed Ferrari FXX K fins All-new special events 15 events for The Red Pack DLC 13 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 2 DLC 12 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 3 DLC
  15. Porsche Pack Vol. 3 For Console Next week will see the release of Porsche Pack Volume 3 and update 1.12 on the PlayStation 4, but unfortunately Xbox One users will have to wait as the update “encountered some issues” on the platform. The final of the three Porsche Packs will deliver yet another quality selection of vehicles from the Porsche brand, both old and new. Modern racing machinery gets a big nod, with two 991 GT3 racers and the 2016 Le Mans-winning 919 Hybrid among the pack's contents. Classic racing isn't overlooked either thanks to the inclusion of the iconic 908 Lang-Heck (LH) and 917 K, which are both ready and willing to be let loose on the numerous circuits and roads of Assetto Corsa. Last and by certainly no means least, the pack contains two of the most sought after modern Porsches, the 911 R and a 911 Turbo S. PORSCHE PACK VOL. 3 DLC CARS Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 Porsche 908 LH Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R Porsche 911 Turbo S For those of you who remember the early days of when the car lists were revealed, you might be thinking ‘there’s something not quite right here?’. And you would be right, as the 911 RSR 2017 was meant to be included in this pack. However due to Kunos not feeling that the car was ready, they replaced it with the Turbo S with the promise to bring the RSR 2017 as a free upgrade to owners of the pack at a later date. It seems that they will be keeping to their word, as this promise has been repeated in the blog post announcing this pack. However, there is no mention as to when this could be. As with previous updates, the latest will bring another free Porsche to owners of the standard game, with the last of these being the Macan Turbo. UPDATE V 1.12 RELEASE NOTES Added support for DLC content: Porsche Pack #3 FREE bonus car! – Porsche Macan Turbo The damage and repair system has been improved. As a result, collisions will now appear more realistic Various 3D models have been tweaked and improved, including that of the cockpit instrumentation All-new special events 15 events for The Red Pack DLC 13 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 2 DLC 12 events for Porsche Pack Vol. 3 DLC [via Assetto Corsa blog]
  16. Console Porsche Pack 3 & Private Lobbies A rather small but nonetheless important blog posting has been made by 505 Games Community Manager, Antonela Pounder, informing that Porsche Pack Volume 3 is on its way to submission next week. The third and final of the Porsche Packs has been a bit of a wait for Assetto Corsa players on PS4 and Xbox One compared to their PC brethren who got theirs shortly before Christmas, but alas the end is finally in sight. When the submission process is complete, Kunos Simulazioni will be able to give more info and a proper release date for it and the accompanying v1.12 update. The final Porsche Pack continues the run of providing some top racing and road-going models from the Porsche line-up as it includes some beauties such as the 917 K and 908 Lang-Heck for the motorsport advocates, whereas the showroom fans can have some fun with the driver focused 911 R. For those who haven't been following the path of these packs then worry not, the full range of the models included is listed below: Porsche Pack Volume 3 - Contents Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 Porsche 908 LH Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R Porsche 911 Turbo S Should you not be willing to fork out some small change for the pack then a free vehicle will still be yours as the final of the freebie Porsches, the Macan Turbo, will be provided with the update just like all those previous. Still no mention of the 2017 911 RSR that was originally set for being included in the final Porsche pack but was removed and then replaced with the 911 Turbo S. The swap was done with the intention of the RSR to come at a later date some time in January as a free upgrade to that pack. However, as we are into the final part of January and nothing more has been said or seen of the car, chances are it won’t be making it this month. It will still come, of that we can be fairly sure. To keep players engaged with the game there will be a total of 40 new Special Events for the last few DLC pack releases. These are divided up between them with 15 for the Red Pack DLC, 13 for Porsche Pack Vol. 2 and 12 for the upcoming Porsche Pack Vol. 3. What's the story with Private Lobbies? As brilliant as that pack and those events are, there is another aspect that is seemingly of more importance to a number of players and that is Private Lobbies. It was really quite ridiculous of Kunos not to have this function within the game for console players, but they took notice and have been working away on making it happen for a while and now they are ready to enter the quality assurance (QA) phase. This means that the team are happy enough with how things are going and are moving on to checking how the function runs in the actual game so that they can find and detect any problems or bugs that may have been missed during the development process. If things look good, then it can go onto the next stage and get even closer to an eventual release. However if issues arise then it's back to scrolling though them screens of code to make the needed changes before repeating the process. [via Assetto Corsa blog]
  17. Console ‘Red Pack’ & Porsche Pack Vol 2 OUT NOW! Here we are, into the beginnings of 2017 and Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games are right on it, as today saw the release of the ‘Red Pack’ and Porsche Pack Volume 2 for PS4 and Xbox One. In fairness, they did say the simultaneous landing of the packs would happen but as has been seen previously, it’s not always the case to blindly believe this will be the case. var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) return; js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "//connect.facebook.net/en_GB/sdk.js#xfbml=1&version=v2.8&appId=159301820896907"; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); " data-width="auto" data-show-text="false"> Both of the packs which have been available on PC for months, were very much eagerly awaited by players on both console platforms. And so to get them two dropping at the same time is going to put many of them in a right cheery mood. Assetto Corsa ‘Red Pack’ - Contents Ferrari SF15-T Ferrari F138 Ferrari 488 GT3 Maserati 250F 6C Maserati 250F T2 12C Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce Red Bull Ring circuit Deciding between the two however isn’t the only issue facing those on Xbox One right now. As has become almost routine for those players on the Microsoft system, experiencing new frustration with additional content has shown itself again: this time being that Season Pass holders are unable to unlock the content they are entitled to. Kunos are aware and looking into it and hopefully this problem will be resolved in not too long. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail For those able to download the content and have it work as expected, plenty of new vehicles and a new track awaits them. Be it taking the duo of Ferrari F1 cars around the numerous locations the game has to offer or hanging on to a Porsche 962c as it tries to wrestle away from your control. The new thrills are due to be bountiful with all the new machinery and new track that is included inside the two packs. This latest release brings the console versions of the game to v1.11 and along with a number of fixes, delivers another free Porsche. The Porsche Cayenne is the second of the free Porsche triplets promised, giving everyone some more Porsche to play with even if they do not buy any of the new content. No word on the console Porsche Pack Volume 3 right now, but that can be forgiven. However could it also make an appearance this month? It will be interesting to see what Kunos does, as the delayed 911 RSR 2017 that was meant to be in the PC release of the pack last December, is pencilled in to become a free upgrade to that pack some time this month. Available now, the Porsche Pack 2 and the Red Pack are included in the console Season Pass, or can be purchased separately on the PlayStation and Microsoft Stores.
  18. Assetto Corsa 'Red Pack' on Console Has a Release Date! The news in relation to Assetto Corsa continues to spill out as the release date has been set for when the ‘Red Pack’ will drop on PS4 and Xbox One. Revealed on the official social channels of the title, the DLC will arrive at the start of next week on Tuesday, January 10th. It is yet another and welcome addition to Kunos’ simulation racer and is the one often asked about and has been near the top of the list of content players have wanted to see released on their consoles next. Its popularity is mostly garnered because of the inclusion of a pair of fairly recent Ferrari Formula One racers, the 2013 F138 and 2015 SF-15T – with the F138 running in the final season where the cars would house a glorious sounding V8 before the idiots at the FIA changed the rules to go with the wasp sounding crap we have these days. Two Ferraris is not all you get in this pack, the full breakdown on what comes with it was talked about only a couple of days ago but for the tl;dr amongst you, a bulleted list has been put down below. Assetto Corsa ‘Red Pack’ - Contents Ferrari SF15-T Ferrari F138 Ferrari 488 GT3 Maserati 250F 6C Maserati 250F T2 12C Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Lamborghini Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce Red Bull Ring circuit In total there is seven new vehicles and a new track for buyers to play with and play on and if Kunos stick to their word, the Porsche Pack Volume 2 should be coming on or around this date also. The ‘Red Pack’ will be available on their respective stores on the date of release specified above for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One as a standalone purchase or is included as part of the Season Pass. It is already out and available for the PC on Steam. Note: main image is from the PC release
  19. Porsche Pack Volume 2 PS4 & Xbox One Should have known that there was nothing to worry about when the Assetto Corsa ‘Red Pack’ release for console announcement was made yesterday, but it did seem a bit unnerving that there was no mention of the accompanying second Porsche Pack. Those worries can be put to rest as Kunos have just posted on their social channels that 'Porsche Pack Volume 2' is also heading to the consoles next week, just like they promised in December last year.. A quality bit of racing pedigree is on display in this second pack, as it contains some of the most iconic models known in Porsche racing such as the 962c (long and short tail), 911 GT1 and the 919 Hybrid 2015. (Trailer below is from the PC release) Modern day is represented too with the 911 GT3 RS, Cayman GT4, and 718 Boxster in both manual and PDK transmission guises. The classic 718 Spyder RS finishes off the list in style. Well providing nothing has changed between the PC release and this one, that should be what can be expected. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Contents Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail Another free Porsche, the Cayenne Turbo S will be making its way in through the latest associated update too, as every Porsche Pack arrival brings with it another of the free trio of Porsches, so that everyone can enjoy some extra Porsche-powered fun. It is good to see the console catching up with the PC in the content stakes, and from the look ahead posted at the end of 2016, we know that there is a lot more to come to the sim-racer aside from that which has still to come to the PS4 and Xbox One, that is already available on the PC.
  20. Assetto Corsa 2017 Look Ahead Tasked with writing an end of year post for the official website, our favourite teaser-geezer Marco Massarutto, has revealed a nice amount of features and content that will be landing on Assetto Corsa in 2017. Within it we discover that more free bonus cars and tracks are heading to the game alongside confirmation that the recently released Customisable Championships mode, which came to the PC version last month, will also be coming to the consoles. There was also acknowledgement that work is still being carried on delivering Private Lobbies to the consoles. Not one to keep too many secrets hidden away, Massarutto announces that there will be a brand new created from scratch fictional track based in Scotland! Yeah my home country people!! Can’t argue with their choice, we do have some epic roads (and scenery) here. Arriving free as bonus content in the early part of 2017, this new circuit has been created in partnership with Nvidia and Sparco because apparently the “ideal” circuit doesn’t exist in the real world *ahem Nordschleife*, and will consist of 4 different configurations, incorporating city track, drift layout and endurance course racing. This track will allow you to enjoy each car included in Assetto Corsa, from the very little and quiet Abarth 595 to the racing cars designed for endurance racing, to the GT cars you are enjoying so much. We’ll unveil more details very soon, our aim is to release it within the Q1 2017. Whether these are all set in one place or spread throughout (!), we will need to wait and see. The Mazda Laguna Seca Raceway is unfortunately going to be a bit later coming to the game than Kunos originally wanted, but it will drop in the first half of 2017. As for the cars, well they get even better! Free bonus content alone will itself provide players with the Mazda 787B, Maserati Quattroporte, Miata NA and the new Audi TT. Whereas premium content will begin with the “British Pack”. Comprising of those that make up the latest line-up from McLaren, Lotus and maybe some others, as is hinted at. Kunos, as an Italian developer, unsurprisingly have a real devotion to Ferrari. And as was clear from the several that came with the vanilla game, in DLC and the Scuderia F1 editions included inside the incredible 'Red Pack', this is excellent for players. And with Ferrari celebrating their 70th Anniversary in 2017, AC is set to get a dedicated pack containing 7 of the prestigious marque’s models with the AC community getting a chance to get involved in the choice with a poll. Continuing to grow, the future is looking good for Kunos and AC. Putting the final touches together in the opening of a new studio that has come about as their current base of operations at the Vallelunga circuit undergoes maintenance. These new digs will be better for them as it will have dedicated areas for VR, testing, multiplayer and R&D. There may also be the opportunity for inviting fans and supporters, where they might be shown top secret 'NOT FOR MASSARUTTO’S EYES AS HE WILL SHOW IT' type work in progress. :p Lastly, for all of you AC players who feel you are not showing enough support to the game through the buying of everything they release, you will be ecstatic to hear that as a result of their partnership with SPARCO, there will be some official Assetto Corsa merchandise available for you spend your money on. So now you can deck yourself out as an AC obsessed fanatic... or just buy an item or two, whatever takes your fancy. Assetto Corsa is available for PC on Steam and PS4 and Xbox One to on their respective marketplaces, as well as any many good retailers. [via Assetto Corsa blog]
  21. Time For Porsche Pack Vol. 3 Well here we are, the third and final Porsche Pack for Assetto Corsa is released today for PC. Bringing the phenomenal Porsche DLC program for the title to its climax. For a while it felt like we were only hearing about Porsche coming to the game at some point from Kunos Simulazioni, and now, here we are – it’s done, it’s finished, and there is a whole load of fine virtual Porsche metal out there for players to enjoy. Containing another set of models that will make many an enthusiast beam a smile, such as the 908 LH and 917 K, and providing those who have more of a penchant for modern metal, the 911 R and Le Mans racing 919 Hybrid 2016. Every player should be able to find something in here that they will like. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 3 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 LeMans configuration Porsche 908 Lang Heck (Long Tail) Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R (991) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) Earlier lists included the 911 RSR 2017 with the third pack, but just days before the pack was due for release, it was announced that Kunos were delaying the car so that they could take more time to reproduce it accurately. The Turbo S was brought in to take its slot and now the RSR 2017 will be released as a free upgrade to Volume 3 in January. As has become common for those on console, a nice long wait is on the cards for them, as even though Kunos did mention a “December” release a couple of months ago, that has unfortunately slipped and now more Porsche will not hit until January when Volume 2 is set to release. However it will be joined with the Red Pack when it does, so every cloud eh! And just like with every pack that has landed, the accompanying update contains another of the free trio of Porsches to be given away at no additional cost. This third and final time it is the turn of the Macan Turbo. Speaking of which, this latest one takes the PC up to version 1.11 where along with the bug fixes and improvements is an all-new Championship gameplay mode. Allowing players to create their own championships with options such as selecting the cars, tracks, laps, points, rules and compete against the AI. 22. Porsche Pack Vol. 2 / Red Pack Console Info Console players of Assetto Corsa will be happy to know that Porsche Pack Volume 2 is heading for submission this week and that news has finally broken about the PS4 and Xbox One ‘Red Pack’ too. From a post made on the official console blog by 505 Games Community Manager, Antonela Pounder, we find that the second Porsche Pack is going into the ‘check it doesn’t explode the console’ submission process at Sony and Microsoft this week, meaning a release now for early January looks certain and not the proposed “December” they mentioned earlier. (boo! j/k) Porsche Pack Volume 2 is a real favourite with us here at turboduck, as it comprises of some truly iconic Porsche racing history in the Porsche 962c in both long and short tail varieties, and the 911 GT1, along with some equally delectable road going metal of the 911 GT3 RS and Cayman GT4. The latter of which is regarded as one of the best handling and driver thrilling cars in its price bracket. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail In light of all the Porsche hype and excitement, it has been easy to forget about another of the stellar DLC drops for AC that came donkey’s ways back in July to the PC – the ‘Red Pack’. Proving you can never have too much of a good thing, the console version of the ‘Red Pack’ will release at the same time as Porsche Pack Vol. 2!! And no it’s not just full of Ferraris. Being Italian themselves, Kunos Simulazioni are very proud of their heritage and also that of their country's most famous marques, and the Red Pack demonstrates why in superb form. From the stable of the Prancing Horse there is not one, but TWO Scuderia Ferrari F1 cars in way of the 2015 season SF15-T and the 2013 V8 powered F138, along with the 488 GT3 racecar. Where there is a Prancing Horse there is usually a Raging Bull snorting angrily and in the virtual space this is no different, as the one and only Lamborghini of the monstrous Aventador LP750-4 SuperVeloce makes itself welcome onto the list. Another Italian legend of motoring history is Maserati, and they are well represented as to why with the early classic Formula One racing 250F 6C and the 250F T2 12C. Modern times is given a place too, as the (imo) gorgeous GranTurismo MC GT4 racecar makes up the last of the vehicles to come with the pack. Assetto Corsa - Red Pack Ferrari SF-15T Ferrari F138 Ferrari 488 GT3 Maserati 250F 6C Maserati 250F T2 12C Maserati GranTurismo MC GT4 Lamborghini Aventador SuperVeloce But wait, there’s more! The Red Bull Ring of Austria is also included in all its authentic laser scanned glory, increasing the track selection by another notch in what is already quite an impressive line-up. We knew you would ask this and thankfully so did the AC squad so we’ll just let them tell you. Don’t worry… They’re coming! ? Private lobbies are a big job, but the team are working incredibly hard to bring them to Assetto Corsa. While we don’t have a release date yet, you can expect them in the new year as part of a major update. More info soon! There is a promise of more info, a review round-up of the past year and an insight into what 2017 will bring by (I do like to tease them) Marco Massarutto and we will be sure to share that as it becomes available. 23. Porsche Pack 1 for Console Tomorrow is the day for the consoles to get the first Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack. Well the PlayStation 4 will anyway as unfortunately the Xbox One version has received a slight delay. Rest assured though that Kunos are on the case and are in their own words “working flat out right now and doing all they can to solve the issues” in order to bring the Porsche pack and update to the Xbox playerbase. Already out for the PC, the pack includes some of the most iconic Porsches known. From the modern hypercar of the 918 Spyder to the ‘they actually made this thing’ 917/30 Spyder. Porsche Pack Volume 1 - Contents Porsche 911 Carrera S Porsche 918 Spyder Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 Porsche 718 Cayman S Porsche 917/30 Spyder Porsche 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’ Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport A new update will accompany the pack release too in version 1.09. This will bring a number of fixes and improvements along with two pieces of free bonus content: the Porsche Panamera G2 Turbo and the historic Silverstone circuit. On the console there seems to be a fair amount of having to take the good with the bad, but it's undeniable that AC is one of the best racing simulators available on console. The original proclamation of the intent to bring the console version up to that of the PC seems to be getting chipped away as time goes by. There's still time though, so they may very well surprise. UPDATE V 1.09 FIXES AND CHANGES – Upgraded physics engine and network protocol to bring them in line with the PC version of Assetto Corsa as of release 1.9 – Upgraded FMOD to latest 1.08, and done a lot of tweaks and fixes to the audio of all cars – Fixed some problems with the AI on race start – Fixed crash when suspending the game during a multiplayer race – Fixed a recurring crash with Special Events, caused by a certain sequence of actions in the launcher – Fixed bug that blocked users from pushing turbo to 100% – Fixed bug with Traction Control level selection – Fixed several translation issues – Fixed a degenerate collision triangle in Brands Hatch that was causing the simulation to break when hitting it – Added support for visible checkpoints in Time Attack mode – Added new controls presets – Added support for Porsche-specific car features and Special Events – Added support for DLC content: Porsche Pack #1 – Added driver skins Remember that the Porsche Season Pass (search for it on your respective platform) is a great buy if you intend to pick up every one of the three Porsche packs, with a generous discount compared to buying all of them individually. And even though PC has had Porsche Pack Volume 2 already, it has been affirmed for December on console and hopefully should be earlier than arriving right at the end of it like this one has. 24. Porsche Pack 1 PS4/Xbox One Release At long last, Assetto Corsa console players will be able to savour in the Porsche delights that those on PC has been able to enjoy for more than a month, as a release date for Porsche Pack Volume 1 on PS4 and Xbox One has been confirmed. Coming on November 29th for both platforms, the first of the three packs is releasing a lot later than many would have expected. Funnily enough, this date is only known because it was posted as a comment on their Facebook announcement about the release of Porsche Pack Volume 2 for PC. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 1 Porsche 911 Carrera S Porsche 918 Spyder Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0 Porsche 718 Cayman S Porsche 917/30 Spyder Porsche 935/78 'Moby Dick' Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport So two Porsche packs have dropped on PC before console gets even the one! Obviously the method of getting content onto the Sony and Microsoft networks is going to be different, but more than a month after the PC has had it through Steam? Perhaps there was a problem that they had to resolve in the certification process? ...yeah let’s believe that. Ignoring the long waiting time, the fact that a date is now set is going to relieve some of the pressure on those who have been waiting for it. And there is no doubting really the value for money that the packs provide, especially if the Porsche Season Pass offer is taken up. And if you’re wondering about when PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to sample the only just released Porsche Pack Volume 2, well that will be “in December”.
  25. Porsche Pack Volume II Another plethora of machinery from the garage of Porsche has become available for Assetto Corsa with the release of Porsche Pack Volume 2 on Steam for PC. Surprisingly there wasn’t much in the way of promotion and teasing on social media, something that has become somewhat customary from the team. Although that is understandable, considering they appeared to be guests of Porsche at a trackday event where they got to check out and sit behind (but not drive) some of the legends that can be found inside these Porsche packs. The second Porsche pack contains some of the best known racing legends from the marque, including my personal favourite of the 962 Group C racecar that won Le Mans back in 1986/87, the Porsche 911 GT1 and the modern day 919 Hybrid of 2015. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Contents Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail Road-going versions are included too, with the lightweight classic 718 RS Spyder and modern day 911 GT3 RS being the picks for most people of what is on offer. Giving credit where it is due, the Cayman GT4 is meant to be a mighty little motor in its own right if the automotive press are anything to go by. Still languishing behind though are the console players on PS4 and Xbox One, who are still waiting for the first Porsche pack to become available. Shouldn't be too long now however as a blog post earlier this month specified that it was coming for them in November. Don't think many (probably being kind here) would have guessed that the PC would have two packs before console got even one though. Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume II is now available on Steam for PC. Don’t forget that you can buy the Porsche Season Pass (also available on console) and enjoy a saving of 28% on buying the three packs individually. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="5860,5861,5862,5863,5864,5865,5866,5867,5868,5869,5870,5871,5872,5873,5874,5875,5876,5877,5878] The latest update to the game also became available with the release of the pack.
