  5. <90's Golden Drift Spot Project> This project is aiming to recreate the legendary drift locations in Japan, from the very popular drifting spot list for drifters from the late 80's til the early 00's. Although it is away from locations introduced by Inital D it's remains a popular drift spot till today. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CUSTOM SHADERS PATCH V.160 OR ABOVE REQUIRED stop asking PV with Team Gaya Factory drivers *This course is created under Lidar data provided by Prefecture government The top of Sakanotsuji Touge SAKANOTSUJI TOUGE (坂ノ辻峠), is located in Hyogo prefecture around Mountain Seppiko. This is the only road connecting between Shiso City and Kamikawa Town, which means not only normal cars, but truck will also passing through this road. However due to the difficulty of this road, it's not easy for truck running. The city council had been requesting a construction for Sakanotsuji Tunnel to replace the touge for a while, however the construction still nowhere close to start. That also decrease the usage of this touge, being more able to get overtaken by drifters and racers. As for the special condition of this road, it had been a spot for racing and drifting since the autobike boom at the early 90's. However it somehow have done nothing to prevent people racing it, so this place is still getting drifted sometimes. 14. Assetto Corsa Competizione – Official Community FAQ Just over a week ago, Kunos Simulazioni and 505 Games revealed Assetto Corsa Competizione, the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. Naturally a flurry of questions have been asked about what exactly it is and several other important factors, and so, they’ve answered a selection of them to help us better understand. To summarise the more important aspects: Competizione is a whole new game, not just a break-off (so it is AC2 then?) At this time, Competizione is being developed only for PC (Steam) and this will continue throughout the ‘Early Access’ period (so a possible move to console once ACC 1.0 comes perhaps?) Competizione will use an improved version of the AC physics engine and not those of Unreal Engine 4 AC will continue to remain online for as long as people are active on it but new updates and content will not be forthcoming as the all the team is now on Competizione Full day and night are in In regards to modding, it is best to see the last question as it sounds like they are unable to commit to it because of their inexperience with the new engine (potential for some smart cookies to work it out afterwards?) The whole (brief) Q&A is listed below. What is Assetto Corsa Competizione? Assetto Corsa Competizione is our all-new racing simulation that reproduces the Blancpain GT Series Championship managed by SRO and based on the GT3 homologation. ACC is not an additional module or an extension of Assetto Corsa but a different, new and separate product altogether! Is AC Competizione a spin-off of Assetto Corsa? Absolutely not! We are developing AC Competizione from scratch. It takes advantage of the Blancpain GT experience, know-how and data collection acquired while working on AC. However, AC Competizione is not AC featuring the Blancpain GT Series. It is a completely new game that will offer realistic car handling as well as new features and gameplay not seen before in our products. Will AC Competizione be available on PC Steam only, or on console too? Right now, all our efforts are going into developing Assetto Corsa Competizione on Steam, during Early Access. Does AC Competizione use the UE4 Engine’s physics? AC Competizione will feature an evolution of the physics engine already used in Assetto Corsa, completely independent from UE4’s built in physics. What is going to happen to Assetto Corsa now you’re working on Competizione? The game will continue to be available for purchase, servers for multiplayer and lobbies will be kept open and active for as long as people continue to play it. The game will not receive further updates now (It has now been 7 years since AC development started and 4 years from its 1.0 release) Our entire team is now focused on AC Competizione. Why the Blancpain GT Series? What does make it so special? When we started to figure out what the new AC would have to be, we saw that -including AC- the current generation of racing games offers a huge variety of “generic” titles performing multiple race modes with any kind of cars. This usually results in finding a compromise in terms of score, racing rules, gameplay modes etc. On the other side, very few games are dedicated to a specific race series that can be completely simulated in all its detail and, more importantly, can keep gamers focused. Whenever we’ve asked the community for their opinion, GT racing was always on the top of their wish list, and we found that the Blancpain GT Series fits the bill! Featuring Sprint races, endurance, night racing, driver swaps, official teams and drivers, these are exactly the things our fans asked for! Not to mention the best GT cars available, in their racing outfit, that results in lightness, handling, grip and brake power. Add to this formula the 24 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps, and you get the best thrilling GT racing series ever. Will we see a day / night cycle in Assetto Corsa Competizione? Yes – Players will be able to race at any time of the day, thanks to a realtime, full day / night cycle. What are the recommended system requirements for Assetto Corsa Competizione? Our minimum target specification is currently an i5-2500/AMD FX-8100 or equivalent, 4 GB RAM and NVIDIA Geforce GTX 760. However, right now, it’s way too early to be more precise. Over time, we’ll be able to be more specific later as we continue to develop ACC. Therefore, if you are considering upgrading your hardware configuration, we strongly suggest you wait for our Early Access before upgrading. Will Assetto Corsa Competizione be moddable? And will modders be able to port their work onto AC Competizione? Assetto Corsa’s structure was designed from the beginning to be moddable. Being developed with UE4, AC Competizione processes data and assets through a completely different structure and file format. Therefore, the game will not be compatible with mod contents created for Assetto Corsa. Also, our team does not have enough experience with UE4 to tackle both the development a brand-new game and the challenges of supporting an open platform in the time frame available for this project. We are fully aware of the importance of modding and its contribution to the success of Assetto Corsa. It’s a great way for new talents to emerge, for the community to “suggest” new directions and/or simply to make a product richer. It is not a coincidence that some of the best community members are now contributing with us to the evolution of the software. However, for ACC this element will have to be put in stand-by mode for a series of reasons. The most important one is that we have given ourselves an enormous task of rebuilding, once again our software from (almost) scratch. In a world where pretty much, every product you see on the market in simracing is an evolution of games that have been on the market 10-15 years ago, our approach is to get a big axe and reset things to (almost) zero before starting with a new project. ACC is no exception. In this case the task is rendered more complex by the fact that we are using, for the first time a third party engine that we did not design ourselves and the truth is, given the amount of time we have available to deliver ACC to the public, we have more than enough on our hands trying to figure out how to use the engine effectively to also think about how to make the platform moddable. As you can imagine, this has been source of endless discussions in the last year and half as every decision comes with pros and cons, there is going to be pain no matter what your final call will be. It goes without saying that we believe we made the right call even if that means losing the huge benefits of a moddable platform. [via 505 Games]
  15. Assetto Corsa Competizione Kunos Simulazioni told us last week to watch out for today and the reason for that has been revealed, with the announcement of Assetto Corsa Competizione. First off, this isn’t a sequel, so it’s not Assetto Corsa 2, it’s actually a more evolved spin-off, and the reason for this is that ACC is the official game of the Blancpain GT Series. A series that is incredible to watch, featuring popular Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi, and other supercars, kitted out in GT3 racing guise, battling hard against one another, often at high speeds. Only announced for a summer release on Steam Early Access right now, ACC looks like it might follow on in the same vein as the original. Although hopefully because of the popularity of Assetto Corsa, the take up will be so rapid that a console version will be announced shortly thereafter. Wait... it’s not a sequel? Looking at the announcement trailer it would be easy to believe that this could be a sequel, but it’s not, and even though it now uses Unreal Engine 4 which delivers vastly improved visuals and effects, has day to night transitions, weather, and will use motion capture technology to create new animations of drivers and the mechanics in order to produce an accurate sense of being a part of the race, this is still not a direct AC sequel. Featuring an extraordinary level of simulation quality that allows players to experience the unique atmosphere of this GT3 Series, players can compete against official drivers, teams, cars and circuits with the highest level of accuracy and attention to detail. In fact like the very start of the video says, this game is all about getting back to the core of racing, and as you would expect of a title being “official”, the drivers, teams, cars and circuits of the Blancpain series will feature. There will even be driver changes! Motion capture technology is used to create the animations of mechanics and drivers in an even more realistic fashion and guarantee a high level of player engagement during races, pit stops and driver changes. Racing real people? Of course, in fact there will be an even better multiplayer portion to ACC including a driver ranking system like that found in iRacing and Gran Turismo Sport. Anything that inspires good clean fights up (or down) the grid together with fair competition, is fine by us! All in all this is a direction many probably never saw coming for the next AC, but it won’t I suspect be an unwanted one, and we are only at the very beginning of learning all about it anyway, so let's see what further information comes out before we make up our minds. 16. Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition Announced As the Bonus Pack 3 content pack starts to arrive on console – starting first with the PS4 only days ago – comes the announcement of a brand new Assetto Corsa Ultimate Edition, a complete package containing everything that has come to the acclaimed simulation racer since its launch. That means all the premium packs such as the Red Pack, Japanese Pack, the trio of Porsche Packs, Ferrari 70th Anniversary and the others, along with all the free Bonus Packs and content that has landed over its time, helps take the total amount of content to 178 cars and 16 circuits with 33 track configurations: including real-world legends such as Spa, Laguna Seca and Nürburgring, with fantasy tracks Black Cat County and Highlands mingling in. No doubt a final farewell to the original game, and a good way to entice those who never jumped in to see just what they have been missing, the Ultimate Edition is out for PS4 and Xbox One on April 20th. Setting up those who like what they see, to keenly watch whatever is next to come from the Kunos development team. Awesome to see a developer use the ‘Ultimate Edition’ label and actually mean it. The End of Assetto Corsa? Presumably, this signals the end of support for the original AC by Kunos, as only minutes after revealing this did they tease that “something big is going to happen” on February 21st, together with a hint that it would be a good idea to watch the official site. Is the next Assetto Corsa game announcement less than a week away? Well, I guess we’ll know this time next week. [via Assetto Corsa Official]

[headline]Is Assetto Corsa 2 Being Hinted At In Kunos' End Of Year Blog Posting?[/headline] An end of year blog post rounds off 2017 for the team at Kunos Simulazioni and at the helm of it is none other than Marco Massarutto, Assetto Corsa's Brand & Product Manager. 18. Preparing Us For Assetto Corsa 2? An end of year blog post rounds off 2017 for the team at Kunos Simulazioni and at the helm of it is none other than Marco Massarutto, Assetto Corsa’s Brand & Product Manager. In it he wishes the community the best for 2018 and talks about the journey the game and his colleagues have been through, but it’s the end where a real hint towards Assetto Corsa 2 is made that is making people take notice. Unlike the posting made at the end of 2016, there is no real talk about content or plans for the current title which celebrated its third anniversary last month and coincided with the release of the exceptional Bonus Pack 3 on PC. In 2014 we launched version 1.0, in 2015 we introduced the Lamborghini licence and released the first version of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, based entirely on laserscan data. In 2016, we released the simulation to consoles, and announced the Porsche Programme, which brought the very best selection of Porsche cars in a genuine simulation after 13 years. In 2017, we celebrated the 70th anniversary of Ferrari with a dedicated pack that is one of the most successful DLC packages ever released for Assetto Corsa. Including all mentioned above, there was plenty of free and premium content put out, and support wasn’t just strong in DLC offered – a new sound fx system, and tweaks to the physics have been released periodically in the pursuit to provide a truly authentic experience. The Future Is Assetto Corsa 2? As much as Kunos would have liked to have made fan wishes for night and weather happen, the engine limitations stop this from being the case, however they have never shied away from the desire to do it, albeit needing to wait for a new game. And so the image that accompanies the blog post itself is surely another tease. [caption id=attachment_7599" align="aligncenter" width="1280] Starry sky, pretty fireworks... wait that's a track at night![/caption] If you still need convincing then I will end with these words from Massarutto: Even today, the community keeps asking for something new, and that is great as it means that you continue to keep us involved in fuelling your hobby, passion and training tools. To meet your expectations, and to support the features that our current technology cannot manage, some – actually a lot of – work will be required. So, it’s time to move forward. When it arrived, there had been nothing like Assetto Corsa before. We are working hard to replicate this feeling with what there is to come in the future. [via Assetto Corsa]

  20. Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 OUT NOW! It’s here, it’s actually here! The Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 is now available FREE to download on PC Steam, and it contains everything we hoped it would. Adding a truly incredible selection of seven new cars and the Laguna Seca race track, Bonus Pack 3 is a thank you from developers Kunos Simulazioni to their community as the game celebrates its third anniversary. Being a free pack you might expect this to be lacking in areas but if there is one thing we have seen from previous Bonus Packs for AC, it is that they like to keep the quality high in the content they offer. Bonus Pack 3 – The Cars There is some obvious Italian favouritism in here in regards to the cars that come, but that is soooooo easy to excuse when the marques included are those of Alfa Romeo, Lamborghini, Maserati, and Pagani. Included Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huràcan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Alfieri Concept Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC Bonus Pack 3 – The Track Laguna Seca, digitalized through Laser Scanning Technology, ensuring every single detail, every single bump, curb and slope to perfectly match the real counterpart. For those of you who were paying attention above, you will also have noted that a certain circuit takes up a slot in this pack, and not just any one either, but a long-awaited fan favourite: Laguna Seca. Laser-scanned in all its glory, the version found here is now the most up to date in any game available. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7550,7551,7552,7553,7554,7555,7556,7557,7558,7559,7560,7549] Kunos have clearly wanted to make sure that they did the track justice, and from the images released of the in development and final version, we think it's a job well done. The pack is released as a part of the 1.16 update which brings with it fixes and other minor improvements, the list of which you can view below. Assetto Corsa v1.16 Changelog - New Alfa Romeo tipo 33 Stradale - New Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio - New Lamborghini Huracán Performante - New Lamborghini Sesto Elemento - New Maserati Alfieri - New Maserati Quattroporte GTS - New Pagani Huayra BC - New Laguna Seca Circuit - Corrected Porsche 908LH Fuel consumption - Corrected Pagani Huayra front splitter aero position - Added steering wheel alert on race start. - Potential workaround for launcher losing input focus after session ends; reported after Windows 10 Fall Creators Update. - Templates added for Bonus Pack cars - Various minor updates to digitial instruments in older content - Various minor graphical fixes in older content As for players on PS4 and Xbox One, you lot have to wait until early 2018 before you can get yours. How early is "early"? We wouldn't like to say but the wait will be well worth it!
  21. Marco has apparently confirmed in a Facebook comment the content coming in the next bonus pack. No idea when the official announcement will be made  Track Laguna Seca Cars Alfa Romeo Guila QV Alfa Romeo Stradale 33 Maserati Quattroporte Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Lamborghini Huracan Performante Pagani Huayra BC Release date - TBA It's likely that this will be the last dlc for AC in my opinion ;)

  23. Assetto Corsa – Laguna Seca Bonus Pack A new free Bonus Pack containing the Laguna Seca race track and at least six cars is coming to Assetto Corsa, hopefully before the end of the year. Product Brand Manager (+ many other titles!), Marco Massarutto revealed the news during an interview with SimRacingGirl at the recent SimRacing Expo. In it he was asked about the rumours that “they were bringing out the Laguna Seca track” (timestamp: 4 mins 7 seconds), to which he began his answer by explaining the technical problems that caused the delay in the first place, then continued on to how because of that, they have decided to piece together a new Bonus Pack that included the track and “6 to 8 cars”. From the sum of all its parts it is likely this was originally proposed to be a new premium Dream Pack, but we won't be complaining about the change if that was the case, nope not at all. Those of you with good memories will remember that the track was initially teased back in October last year, with an intended release a few months after. Since this interview, Massarutto has been busy doing what he does best, getting people hyped by unveiling even more details through his replies on Facebook. The latest of which has shown us the six cars that will make up the car-based portion of the pack. It hasn't been officially named, but on the official forums where another comment (need to be registered) made by Massarutto was referenced, but not sourced, they are calling it the Laguna Seca Bonus Pack, and so we will too. Assetto Corsa - 'Laguna Seca Bonus Pack' Cars Alfa Romeo 33 Stradale Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio Lamborghini Huracan Performante Lamborghini Sesto Elemento Maserati Quattroporte Pagani Huayra BC Looking at that list it’s quite unbelievable that this will be free but then Kunos Simulazioni have been really good to their fans, and if this is the final goodbye before they jump onto a new project (Assetto Corsa 2?), well it’s a super way to do it! Thanks Kelvjy for the tip!
  24. Assetto Corsa Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack Out Now! The Assetto Corsa Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack is now available to purchase on PC (Steam). In an amazing collaborative effort with the infamous Italian auto manufacturer, developers Kunos Simulazioni have gone and put together a pack that includes some of the most iconic models to have ever had a Ferrari badge on them. And with the title already having a rather nice selection of Ferraris in its roster by default, as well as those delivered inside the optional Red Pack, the scope covered in this new car pack is quite impressive, as classic and modern varieties of both road and racing cars make up its list. You would think having 70 years of production and racing heritage to choose from would be difficult, and it should be. But when people think of Ferrari, there are a number of cars that will always rank high, and so it is of little wonder that we see some of them here. Even then, Kunos only had to choose six as they left the final slot open for the winner of a poll that was voted for by their community, where with over 30,000 votes cast it was the current Formula 1 car taking the win with over 15% of the vote. Assetto Corsa - Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack 1962 250 GTO 1967 330 P4 1967 312/67 1984 288 GTO 2004 F2004 2017 812 Superfast SF70H Depending on the type of player, this pack may be good for having more road cars to hot lap with, the ability to re/create racing series’, or even if they are a true Ferrari fan, they might want nothing more than to set up a one make race where the field is filled with only the legends that sport a Prancing Horse. Therefore if you like what you see, have a fondness for an Italian red beauty, or just want more cars in your copy of AC, then this pack will do you well. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7285,7286,7296,7297,7298,7299,7293,7294,7295,7287,7288,7289,7290,7291,7292,7304,7305,7306,7307,7308,7300,7301,7302,7303,7310,7311,7312,7313,7309] As for those looking on enviously from console: unfortunately at this time there is little known in regards to a PS4 or Xbox One release timeframe for the Ferrari 70 Pack apart from a mention about it being "available in Fall [Autumn] 2017". That means at some point before the end of November. Honestly though, I would say as long as it drops before the end of the year that would be good – any earlier is a bonus
