  1. Forza Motorsport 7 February Car Pack The next seven-car pack for Forza Motorsport 7 is available to download now and included within it is the technically impressive showpiece, Bugatti Chiron. Arriving along with a stacked February update, the ‘Dell Gaming Car Pack’ includes a majority modern flavour of vehicles in its line-up, with only a late-60s Holden Monaro on hand to keep the youngsters in check. As stated in the intro, the latest crazy-speed-luxor-barge Bugatti – which is electronically-limited to 261 mph (spoilsports!) – has been one of the most requested cars from Forza fans and is unashamedly the main focus of this new DLC. Which should come as no surprise really, as let’s face it, the big Bug is very likely to be the main draw for a majority of those who actually purchase the pack. [gallery size=small-post-image" link="file" ids="7722,7728,7729,7724,7726,7727] Others worth mentioning are the 2018 Kia Stinger, a RWD twin-turbo V6 performance vehicle, and the 2017 Aston Martin Racing V12 Vantage GT3. The remaining quintet can be seen in the list below. 2. Grab Some Doritos, Let The Old Times Roll! December’s Car Pack for Forza Motorsport 7 has been revealed and it’s set to give players a blast from the past, containing a selection of vintage and classics making up most of the list. The ‘Doritos Car Pack’ sports seven new-to-Forza vehicles and has a strong focus on those from years before, including the oldest car to ever be featured in the Forza series at over 90 years old, and covers the largest passage of time between ye old and da new. Strangely, the trailer, as clever and creative as it is, only shows five of those found in the pack. The others are mentioned in the info below the video and in the announcement over at the official site, which is a shame as the classic BMW from the late 30s and striking 60s Porsche race car would have been great to see in action. Forza Motorsport 7: Doritos Car Pack 1926 Bugatti Type 35 1939 BMW 328 1955 Chevrolet 150 Utility Sedan 1962 Porsche 804 1985 Nissan Safari 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk 2018 Porsche Cayenne Turbo Just like the Samsung QLED Car Pack, released last month and the first pack to be released for Forza 7, another litter of off-roaders is found in the mix and is again stirring up some unrest amongst fans. With again the opinion being that these would be more fitting in the Horizon games (I agree), however, it is also starting to stir up thoughts of a possible off-roading/rally expansion perhaps being on the horizon (hehe). [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="7496,7497,7499,7500,7501] The Forza Motorsport 7 Doritos Car Pack is available now to purchase and download on Xbox One and PC, at either a standalone price, or as part of the Forza Motorsport 7 Car Pass. 3. Forza Motorsport 7 Samsung QLED Car Pack The first monthly car pack for Forza Motorsport 7 has been unveiled, featuring a bevy of new-to-Forza vehicles. Pairing up with Samsung, who are in bed with Microsoft for the promotion of their 4K TVs aside the Xbox One X, the opening DLC which will release on November 7th, delivers a generous helping of the road-going and historic racing variety, accompanied by – in my opinion – a side plate of WTH! Starting with those that you would find on the road and wouldn’t mind throwing about a track is the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio and Abarth 124 Spider. Both aimed at completely different areas but each providing their own fantastic experiences for whomever is driving. Racing stalwarts have a bit of choice to make in regards to the heritage they decide between next, with a Maserati 250F, Porsche 935/78 ‘Moby Dick’ and a Nissan Bluebird Super Silhouette all included, and ready to show those looking for a taste of the genuine article, just how vicious and intimidating, they were. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="seven-post-image" ids="7415,7417,7416] Forza Motorsport 7 – Samsung QLED Car Pack 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio 2017 Abarth 124 Spider 2016 Toyota Land Cruiser Arctic Trucks AT37 2015 Honda Ridgeline Baja Trophy Truck 1984 Nissan #20 Coca-Cola Bluebird Super Silhouette 1978 Porsche #78 MOMO 935/78 1957 Maserati 250F Lastly, there are two monster off-roaders. Yeah, I’m not sure why either, but the trailer promotes some manufactured fun that can be had with them through the exploring of off-track sections on some circuits, and perhaps racing them together will produce some interesting moments also. In a title like Forza 7 though, they just seem that bit out of place. No doubt they will prove a hit in the other ‘fun’ modes, so maybe that warrants their inclusion after all. The Samsung QLED Car Pack will be available on Xbox One and PC at a standalone price or as a part of the Car Pass from November 7th. [via Forzamotorsport.net]
  4. Turn 10 Apologise For Forza 7 VIP Nonsense It hasn’t even been a week since Forza Motorsport 7 Ultimate Edition owners got their early access to the game they had eagerly been waiting for, only to discover that VIP had some changes to it compared to previous releases, and although loyal, they are not stupid, letting their disappointment and frustration be known. So much so, that Turn 10 have heard them, responded and are promising changes. In a letter posted on the official site from Studio Head, Alan Hartman titled ‘A Letter to the Forza Communty’, Hartman tells that they have heard “loud and clear” from Ultimate owners and have immediately updated the VIP description shown in the Windows Store to alleviate any further confusion. (sorry you’re too stupid to read what we meant folks??) Since Forza Motorsport 7 launched into early access last week, everyone here at Turn 10 has been keeping a close eye on our players’ feedback. The most important thing to us is to maintain open communication with the Forza Community. We’ve heard what you have had to say and, starting today, you can expect some significant changes. I demand to be treated like a VIP! Don’t worry that’s not it. As from today VIPs will start to be treated like the ‘upstanding spenders of more money’ that they are and will receive more value for their membership, beginning with the gifting of FOUR extra 'Forza Edition' cars. Going forward, we will continue to ensure that Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs receive the most value for their VIP membership, including new experiences and great content. Starting today we’re sending all Forza Motorsport 7 VIPs four additional Forza Edition cars: 2016 Jaguar F-TYPE Project 7 Forza Edition 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 Forza Edition 2017 Acura NSX Forza Edition 2010 Maserati Gran Turismo S Forza Edition All of these cars are 'Tier 5 Legendary' and come with their own perks. On top of this, a cool 1 million credits will be deposited into their accounts too. Bringing back and keeping the 2x credit bonus A main criticism of the changes was the consumable nature of the 2x bonus given to credits that was implemented. What this means is that the 2x multiplier could be used up after a set amount of races was completed, and in these days of targeting directly to the ‘whales’ (those who spend real money to progress/buy shiny things) this was seen as a slap in the face to those who paid for the top version, expecting at least the same perks of those that were provided before. Well that is being made good too, and will revert to the permanent classic 2x credit bonus system with a future update that is currently being worked on. Who knew that if you tried to fleece your loyal fans that it could come back to bite you? Oh wait, Turn 10 did! As the same thing kind of happened with Forza 5 back on the original launch with the Xbox One. Players told them then that misinformation and having the game gently nudge them towards microtransactions was not good and so the lesson learned back then, has been erm… learned again? Ahem, what about PC? Amazingly the PC has lots of reports of suffering the same issues that happened on the release of Forza Horizon 3. Over time they have managed to deal with a lot of those issues and the game is being enjoyed immensely by many on PC, so how on earth did Forza 7 manage to have a botched start and not the fairly smooth experience that the Playground Games title now has? Sadly, it's become all too common for this too happen and naturally Turn 10 are investigating and addressing the issues that get reported. That said, we are aware of stability and performance issues that some PC players are facing. The team is working around the clock to report, investigate, and resolve these issues as quickly as possible. In fact, our first update for the game went live yesterday, addressing several PC stability and performance issues. The quality of the PC experience will continue to be a top priority. So for now it’s just wait and see. At least they're working on it, it just means that if you are having issues then you either wait and see if your problem receives a fix, or return to sender. Nobody denies that making a game is difficult, but the same thing should not be happening that did before, especially after those issues had been (mainly) resolved. 5. The Fate of the Furious Is Coming To Forza 7 Turn 10 have announced that Forza Motorsport 7 will receive a ‘The Fate of the Furious Car Pack’ at launch and that it will be free to the Deluxe and Ultimate Editions of the game, or available standalone for a price. Created in collaboration with Universal Brand Development, the pack features ten cars all authentically reproduced from those found in the latest of the action-packed blockbuster series. Reaction to the pack has been mixed, with some scratching their heads and questioning whether the ‘Motorsport’ branch of Forza is fitting for a pack like this, especially as the 'Day One' pack that is given as one of the bonuses for those who have bought the more expensive versions - feeling that it’s more suited to the Horizon games than it’s track based brethren. 6. Forza Motorsport 7 Demo Out Now! The Forza Motorsport 7 demo is out now for download on Xbox One and PC, giving players a real taste of what they can expect from the next in the amazing Forza Motorsport series before it officially launches in a little under two weeks. While waiting for it to download you might like this glimpse at the demo’s content courtesy of the official Hoonigan YouTube channel. A bunch of them got together and challenged each other to a hot lap contest and through this we get a good view of the racing experiences that can be had in it. It also gives players of the demo something to aim for as all the times are posted. And with players being able to take a heavy but extremely speedy racing truck round Mugello, pilot the cover car Porsche 911 GT2 RS through one of the new Dubai environment tracks, or hang on to a Nissan GT-R at a soaking wet storm hit Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit, there should be enough here to tide them over until they get their hands it on for themselves. In addition to this Turn 10 have set loose the official Launch Trailer and posted a new batch of screenshots. Right enough of that, go download the demo for Xbox One or PC now. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="7325,7324,7319,7322,7323,7326,7321,7320] [via Forzamotorsport.net] 2017-09-19 21:01 GMT: Updated screenshots with high-resolution versions
  7. Forza Motorsport 7 Demo Announced Turn 10 have announced that Forza Motorsport 7 has gone gold, and that a demo will be available for Xbox One and PC on September 19th. We are also treated to a look at the official commercial for the next in the highly-popular racing series. ‘Musical Cars’ is a fun advert which takes on the typical musical chairs theme but you guessed it, replaces them with cars. Watching a group of people, including professional driver Ken Block, nonchalantly walk around a collection featuring his own “Hoonicorn” Mustang, a Pagani Huayra, Plymouth Barracuda and more, the music inevitably stops and the race is on to not be left without a driver's seat. https://youtu.be/_PKL3323wkQ Those who weren’t too slow, get into their cars and delight our ears to a delicious symphony of engine start ups and exhaust notes. A really nice top down shot shows each one speeding away and heading out on to the track... except for the Plymouth, which just wants to burn rubber it seems. A brief bit of on-track action follows, and then it switches from the inside of the real car, to the in-game version. As I said it's a fun watch, with an aim to show the fun that all types of player can experience. Make sure you watch the whole thing as there is a nice little finisher at the very end that raises a smile. Forza Motorsport 7 Demo The official demo for Forza Motorsport 7 is coming for both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC. The demo features three unique racing experiences in Forza Motorsport 7, showcasing the depth and breadth of the experiences available in the game. Drive the Forza Motorsport 7 cover car – the Porsche 911 GT2 RS – to the brand-new Dubai circuit and experience the thrill of navigating the Jebel Hafeet Pass, one of the most famous driving roads in the world. Or, pilot the massive Mercedes-Benz Tankpool racing truck to victory at the high-speed Mugello circuit in Italy. For drivers who want the ultimate test, the Nissan NISMO GT-R LM is available for a race at the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit. Forza Motorsport 7 is out October 3rd for Xbox One and PC. 8. Forza Horizon 3 – You Bunch of Hoonigans! A new car pack for Forza Horizon 3 has been revealed for August. The ‘Hoonigan Car Pack’ will arrive next week on the 15th and sees the partnership between Forza and the so-called “motorsport lifestyle” brand continue beyond that of the Blizzard Mountain expansion at the end of last year. For those devoted fans of the Forza series of games who have already put in their pre-orders digitally for Forza Motorsport 7, they will get this car pack at no additional cost both in FH3 and FM7. That’s right, this pack is also making its way to the upcoming Forza 7 and will have near-identical content except for one vehicle each between the two packs. Ironically the Australian-based FH3 misses out on the native to that land Holden Commodore Ute, swapping this instead for a modified to hell "Loki" K5 Blazer. But when you sit back and think about it, this ultimate off-roader will be a lot more at home on the dust, sand and dirt covered hills and mountainous terrain of Horizon, rather than pulling laps or racing from point-to-point in the circuit based FM7. 9. No Toyota Production Cars In Forza 7! There will be no Toyota production cars in Forza Motorsport 7! As unbelievable as that sounds it has been officially confirmed by Turn 10 community manager, Brian Ekberg, in the latest ‘Week in Review’ posted on the official website. Everyday and fan favourites such as the Supra, AE86, Celica, classic 2000 GT and more that have appeared in previous games, will not be in Forza 7. Toyota badged cars are not completely gone however, there will still be the race cars, along with the Hilux Arctic Truck that former Top Gear duo Clarkson and May got to play with in Iceland. Unfortunately it isn’t always possible to align the interests of fans and the interests of our manufacturing partners. As a result, production Toyota vehicles are not represented in Forza 7. We’re as disappointed as you are about this news and, while we hope to bring Toyota production vehicles back to Forza games in the future, it is worth noting that a small number of Toyota race cars will be included in the game. Look for that list in a future edition of the Forza Garage. The above seems to indicate that Toyota and Turn 10 couldn’t come to an agreement, in what way, we can only guess, as the Japanese maker’s cars have featured in past games, where they’ve been able to be kitted out, customised and painted in the livery editor. Whatever the reason, let’s just hope it’s not because of another company grabbing them in some sort of exclusive licensing. (please let’s not see any of that again!) 10. Forza Motorsport 7 Announced Racing fans of all over were in high spirits while watching the Xbox E3 conference, as during the show the first showing and details of Forza Motorsport 7 were revealed. When you are one of the biggest names in the racing game scene it doesn’t take much to get people excited about a new one, however Forza games have always not taken this for granted and generally strive to eclipse what they delivered previous. And who better to talk about it than Turn 10 studio boss Dan Greenawalt. Up on the stage he delved into the many details about the game before presenting the first ever look at Porsche’s brand new 911 GT2 RS, which itself will be the cover car for the game. Personally I think this moment was wasted on the audience as many of them didn’t seem to realise what was actually happening. In the way that Gran Turismo is a showpiece for PlayStation, Forza Motorsport has become one for Xbox, and with the newly announced Xbox One X FM7 is going in all exhausts blazing to demonstrate what it's capable of: running at a native 4K resolution at the trademark 60fps the games are known for and displaying an image quality and clarity that has only been seen on higher-end PCs compared to console. Setting out to be the largest Forza ever, FM7 will have over 700 cars including as said by Greenawalt, “the largest collection of Lamborghinis, Ferraris, and Porsches”. That claim isn’t only about the car list either, there will be 30 environments consisting of over 200 track configurations, made up of real world circuits, locations and fictional creations from Turn 10. This is great to hear as FM games can tend to lack in the number of circuits available department, and some of this number will be made up of former entries to the series, with Mugello being one of the first of these to be spotted from the video (1m27s). Another desire of fans has been answered too, with the featuring of dynamic time-of-day and weather conditions. Customisation is always a favourite in any Forza game and FM7 has now expanded this to include… your driver. Players can personalise their male or female character’s appearance through a wide range of racing gear that spans multiple decades and areas of popular culture. During the show a pair of female racing drivers played through their own races, the first on one of the brand new Dubai layouts in a Porsche 911 GT2 RS, and the other racing a Nissan GT-R racecar around a wet and stormy Nurburgring. Set to launch from October 3rd for the Xbox One family and Windows 10, FM7 is exhibiting that it could be the game many players have been waiting for!
  11. GT Sport vs Forza 6 Audio Forza has typically been the winner in the console arena for authentic sounds but it could be about to have some actual competition in this from none other than Gran Turismo Sport. We had already talked about the off-screen footage showing a Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat running around Brands Hatch, captured by MotoGamesTV, that was sounding good in a number of areas. Not least the change from the ear-busting tyre squeal the GT series has incorporated since it’s debut. As if to show that what we are hearing is not simply a trick of the mind or a sort of placebo effect (aka wishful thinking), MotoGamesTV have put a video together where they compare sounds of the same car in both Forza Motorsport 6 on Xbox One and the early footage mentioned before of GT Sport. It’s about the sound remember so the static image shown is not a problem, this is meant for your ears not your eyes. Your eyes should only be looking for what title’s audio is currently active. No doubt fanboys will jump in and claim a win for their own but newsflash people, you want both games to be as good as one another in all aspects as competition is a good thing, and it pushes these games to bigger and better things. Try not to forget that. From our own observations and comparing to videos like the above that feature the real vehicle, I think it is pretty clear that the interior GT Sport sound is the closer one. Forza’s version seems to be from a different car or has had its sound tweaked in a way that removes the natural grunt and turns it instead into something a bit synthetic sounding. The exterior though, from a couple of looks around of those videos where you can hear the car itself, and not have someone narrating over it, leans to Forza this time in my view. In all honesty, it is just good to see that a Gran Turismo is demonstrating sounds that the series has long deserved. Personally I cannot wait to see hear more footage if the audio is heading this way. Maybe I am completely wrong though, so make up your own mind. [via MotoGamesTV]
  12. Premium Price At Its Apex PC players finally got Forza on their platform with the release of the free-to-play Forza Motorsport 6: Apex for Windows 10 back in September. Apex was the first of the highly-acclaimed Forza series’ of games to hit PC, closely followed with Forza Horizon 3 a couple of months later. Apex has been getting some updates hear and there, with the latest helping with performance issues and bringing even more wheel compatibility to the title. Apart from this it’s been fairly quiet on how the game will be expanded with new content and how. Being free-to-play it is a no brainer that real money will be involved in some way and the release of Apex Premium Edition (let’s call it APE for short) is what Microsoft have come up with. So what is so Premium about this version and why should you go APE? Well for starters, for the small price of about 25% of a normal Forza Motorsport you will receive 1 track pack and 2 car packs with 7 cars each, making for a massive 14 cars added to your virtual garage. A lot less than the amount that the standard game on the Xbox One delivers. The track pack contains none other than the legend that is the Nürburgring and has the Nordschleife, GP Circuit and the 24Hour layout which is a layout made up when the previous two are combined, making for one hell of a road roller-coaster. All layouts are available in day, night and wet making the pain of the price perhaps that bit easier to swallow. Full contents of what buyers will get for their money is shown below: Forza Motorsport 6: Apex Premium Edition Power to Weight Car Pack (7 Cars) 2016 Ford Mustang GT350R 2015 Dodge Challenger Hellcat 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Z/28 2013 SRT Viper GTS 2013 Caterham Superlight R500 2013 KTM X-Bow R 2014 BAC Mono Hyper Endurance Car Pack (7 Cars) 2016 #66 Ford Racing GT LeMans 2013 #91 SRT Motorsport GTS-R Viper 2016 Nissan #1 NISMO MOTUL AUTECH GT-R 2014 Mazda #70 SpeedSource Lola B12/80 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 2012 Hennessey Venom GT 2013 Lamborghini Veneno Nürburgring Track Pack Nürburgring Nordschleife GP Circuit Full Circuit (24H Layout)
  13. Forza 6: Turn 10 Select Car Pack & July Update Another month has gone by which means it's time for another car pack and update to the Xbox One racer, Forza Motorsport 6. This month as you have probably already noticed seeing as though you did click on the BIG truck is that this is not your standard Forza car pack. There are two stand out cars for good, or bad reasons depending on how normal you are, or are not. Available from today is the 2015 Mercedez-Benz Truck which is sure to be a big hit with the people who are out there just to ruin your multiplayer experience, or fail miserably by missing you and just totalling themselves. And to match the humongousness of the truck is the awesome little 1957 BMW 'Bubble' Isetta 300 thingy which can be used for something, surely. And now for the riff raff such as the 2015 McLaren 570s which is essentially a 'baby' P1, the stunning Fiat 124 Spider from the drop top golden era and then three race cars consisting of a 2014 Chevrolet #4 ROAL Motorsport RML Cruze TC1 WTCC, 1969 Ford Brawner Hawk III and a 2014 Jaguar #14 Emil Frey GT3 Jaguar XK. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pz8IWB11MQE Available now as a standalone download for $6.99/£5.59 or you can always buy the individual cars at somewhat marked up prices. July Content Update Just a small update this month unless you're brave enough to race online that is. Three tracks have been put back in to the online roster after having their dirty lap track boundaries modified to prevent people cheating or gaining advantages by cutting corners too much. The three tracks are Circuit de Catalunya, Circuit of the Americas and Monza. [gallery columns=4" link="file" ids="4965,4966,4967,4968,4969,4970,4971" orderby="rand]
  14. NASCAR vs RACECAR USA ! USA ! Aw yeah, it's time to throw out some awful stereotypes as the favourite sport of America, NASCAR, gets its very own Expansion Pack for Forza Motorsport 6. Clearly I kid, but it does have a crazy following and the racing is always close, frenzied and produces some kick-ass entertainment. And now Forza players can get a taste of some of that for themselves with this fairly chunky Expansion. Featuring 24 models from the NASCAR 2016 season and adding yet another real-world track to the impressive Forza roster with the introduction of Homestead-Miami Speedway, the NASCAR Expansion, being that is a game and is not bound to the boring rules of reality, will have players taking part in an all-new NASCAR World Tour career with over 10 hours of racing. https://youtu.be/Saite7sy_dg The intensity of driving these quintessentially American race cars is at the heart of the NASCAR Expansion experience. Players will be able to drive 24 2016-season NASCAR models from teams like Joe Gibbs Racing, Chip Ganassi Racing, Stewart-Haas Racing, Hendrick Motorsports and Team Penske, including the cars of top-flight NASCAR drivers Jimmie Johnson, Kyle Busch and Chase Elliott. Johnson, Busch and Elliott also serve as the stars of the “Voices of Motorsport” in the NASCAR Expansion, introducing fans to the history and technology of NASCAR. Giving them the chance to throw down the gauntlet against the other disciplines, allowing their NASCAR to be pit against the best of the rest that the world has to offer: V8 Supercars, GT, WEC Endurance, Formula E, GT and more, in a bundling of fantasy races many motorsport fans would really love to see happen. 15. Forza 6 Community Bounty Hunt - Are You Tough Enough? The end of the February bounty hunt is nigh. You have 3 more days to beat RBW Tritons (710th at time of writing) pretty impressive time of 1:38.230 in his Rolls Royce Wraith around the Brands Hatch GP circuit. If you want that Aston Martin V8 Vantage then you need to get racing. As I suspected in the original write up about this bounty hunt, this is no mean feat and many have already fallen by the wayside. I myself have successfully completed the challenge with a time of 1:38.101 but other great racers such as our own superhyper have already thrown in the towel. Paladin Skylark, you're not going to give in too are you? But do not fear, I'll share with you the replay of my fastest lap along with the telemetry so you can see gearing, speeds and pedal positions to help you along the way. Don't forget that you can also do this to any of the top drivers on the leaderboard in game which may help you further. First of all, I do not believe that the time can be beaten unless you have all driving aids turned off and use manual transmission. Manual with clutch would be even better as this saves you time when changing up gear which could be worth half a second or more per lap. It also allows you to blip the throttle on down shifts to bring the revs up and help transfer the cars weight better under braking which can be helpful during corner entry. There are a few tunes at the top of the leaderboards. Most notable is DTM Lionel E46s tunes, both 135% and V.6 along with LMR Harmonics tune. You can't really go wrong using any of the tunes but The LMR tune is a bit more slidey if that's how you prefer to drive. Some of the kerbs can be a massive pain in the arse, quite literally if they throw your car off of the track. The main ones to watch out for are the inside and outside kerbs on the first corner as they can both seriously unsettle the car. The curb on the exit of turn 4 can also give a bumpy ride as seen in the video above. Another one to watch is the inside curb on turn 5 as this will just force you wide. For the first corner you need to brake just before the first white brake board on the left of the track and aim for a late apex to ensure you don't hit the kerbs. For turn 2, trail-braking is key. You need to ease off the brakes as you're going into the corner and then coast until you can see the end of the curb before getting on the power fully otherwise you'll just run wide. Turn 4, another corner where a late apex is beneficial, run wide through the first part of the corner as this allows you to get the power down much sooner to give you a good run at the longest straight on the track. Turn 5, again, you need a late apex to stay away from the inside curb. Take this corner in 4th gear and aim to use the curb on the outside. Turn 8 is one you really need to master to get the laptime. Just as you're going through the right hand kink in the dip, look out for the discoloured piece of track to the right (about 1:07 in the video). You want to start braking just before this with the aim of cutting the next corner. You can go fully off the track and not dirty your lap but try to keep 2 wheels on the curb so you don't lose grip and run wide on the exit. It took me roughly 300 miles to pull together my lap so patience is the key. Just keep practising until you can nail all of the corners and eventually your lap will come. Even with 1 or 2 mistakes (missed apexes and running on bumpy kerbs for me) you can still make the lap. Keep at it! [gallery columns=4" link="file" ids="4253,4252,4251,4250,4249,4248,4247,4246]
  16. Forza for PC for Forza The 'Forza for PC' that many have been asking for could turn out to actually be Forza for PC if a recent rumour from Chinese website WPDang is to be believed. It is reported on Windows Central that Microsoft have plans for making Windows 10 big in gaming and part of this is using the Windows Store to be more appealing in this aspect, by being the exclusive vendor of their own first-party titles such as Forza Motorsport 6. And it was actually a bit of a surprise when it was recently revealed that Remedy's Sci-Fi shooter Quantum Break, known as an 'Only on Xbox' exclusive ever since it was first shown, would be releasing on PC the same day as the Xbox One. So the mentions of "unnamed sources" stating that Forza 6 and the unannounced - but no doubt coming - Forza Horizon 3 will be making their way to the PC is not something that's entirely easy to dismiss; you certainly won't hear many on PC complaining about it! Naturally it makes business sense, getting your products in front of and able to be bought by as many as possible is what selling is all about at its core. How though, this could affect the Xbox, Xbox Live and their future will be something to watch. Source: WPDang

Virginia International Raceway (one of America's less famous, most famous tracks) will be joining the some-odd 20 cars in the game. The one thing we lack is a release date, but many people seem to think this pack will be announced in February and will be available for download in March. So, new track, new cars, new achievements.. Sounds good to me! How about you? Tell us what you think over at the forums!
  18. The Alpinestars DLC Comes To Forza With A Smorgasbord Of Additional Vehicles This is the kind of DLC that has at least one car for every kind of driver. Each of these new vehicles have a different performance level and different driving characteristics, ranging from a Daytona 24 hour competitor to an Aztek which may or may not brake bad. Also coming this month is a special Rivals mode which features the Ford Daytona Prototype on the Daytona Sports Car Circuit with a chance to win some Alpinestar prizes! What's In The Box?! 2015 Ford #02 Chip Ganassi Racing Riley Mk XXVI Daytona Prototype: Not only is this a Daytona winning race car, it also has to hold the title for longest named Ford model ever. We'll call it the Daytona Prototype for short. Under the hood... well, under the rear, of this beast sits a 3.5 litre Ford Ecoboost V6 engine. 1990 Mercury #15 Whistler Radar Cougar XR-7: Another legendary racer that has taken on Daytona. This version comes with the meatier V8 engine, ready to take you to victory. 1967 Sunbeam Tiger: When Britain met Carroll Shelby. Sunbeam were determined to make a fast roadster, so what engine would you put in it? A Ford V8. Shelby initially developed a prototype with a Ford 260 V8, but in the end they shoehorned a 289 V8 into it. 2005 Pontiac Aztek: Batman has the Batmobile, James Bond has his Aston Martin, Walter White... has this. 1992 Alfa Romeo Milano Quadrifoglio Verde: "You're not a petrolhead until you own an Alfa" - Top Gear. Well, now's your chance. You, too, can become a digital petrolhead. 1974 Toyota Corolla SR5: Once the best-selling car in the world, this old-school Japanese motor now carries more weight as a potential drifter. All I need to know is... 2JZ? 1996 Subaru SVX: Giugiaro-designed, and yet, it looks like this. A road-going concept car, so props to Subaru for that. Powered with 231 Japanese horses coming from a 3.3 litre flat 6 engine. This lovely selection of weird and wonderful vehicles can be yours for $6.99 or for free if you own the Car Pass. Available now on the Xbox One, Xbox One and the Xbox One! Like it or loath it? Tell us your thoughts in the forums! [gallery link=file" columns="4" ids="3921,3922,3923,3924,3925,3926,3927]
  19. Forza Motorsport 6: Polo Red Car Pack Released The January car pack for Forza Motorsport 6 has been released into the wild. Now you can get wild with the awesome Lykan HyperSport or you can just pootle around in the somewhat confusing 1979 Opel Kadett and just take in the scenery... And along with the new DLC, Turn 10 have fixed a few issues with the game as well in a 400MB patch available now. CARS Addressed an issue related to angular velocity under specific conditions. This subtle change will be most noticeable for drifters and tuners who prefer to use a wheel. MULTIPLAYER Private matches will no longer be subject to AFK restrictions that cause players to be booted due to inactivity, as in public multiplayer matches. Fixed an issue in multiplayer where engaging UI (such as holding the right trigger in Leagues to bring up the leaderboard screen) during the final countdown of a hopper would cause all users to be disconnected from the session. REPLAYS Fixed an issue where saving long replays (>26 minutes) would result in a saved replay with cars appearing to sit idly on the grid. MISCELLANEOUS Fixed an issue where pressing the right paddle on certain wheels to shift up would cause the camera to look back. [gallery link=file" ids="3851,3852,3853,3854,3855,3856]
  20. Feisty Fast Fiends, Are You Ready? Feast your hands on this! Turn 10 have released the third DLC car pack for Motorsport 6 today championed by the insane 1341bhp Koenigseggersegisigeggeg One:1. WHo doesn't want to do 0 to 250mph in 20 seconds? Sadly this month there is no joker car *sad face* but I'm sure there's still plenty of fun to be had with most of the cars featured this month. Check out the cars and pics below. 2015 Koenigsegg One:1 2016 Mercedes-AMG C63 S Coupe 1990 Chevrolet Douglas Shierson Racing Lola T90/00 #30 1963 Ferrari 250LM 1988 Holden VL Commadore Group A SV 1991 Mazda Motorsport RX-7 #62 1958 Plymouth Fury The car pack is available now so what are you waiting for? 21. Diamond in the Rough November's Forza Motorsport 6 car pack has seen Turn 10 and eBay Motors join up in branding matrimony. Named the 'eBay Motors Car Pack' the new DLC is headlined by Ayrton Senna's multi-championship winning McLaren MP4/4 Formula One car, whereas at the other end of the scale they must be having a laugh bundling in the Plymouth Prowler. If you are quite the racing individual then there's plenty of extra racing goodness to be had in the form of the Lancia Corse Beta Montecarlo Turbo, Maserati MC Trofeo Cup car and the Mazda Lola B12/80 P2 diesel-powered prototype that ran in the P2 class of the Tudor United Sports Car Championship. In the more everyday normal road cars -- along with the kill it with fire Prowler -- there is the Datsun 2000 Roadster and Holden Torana A9X The pack is free for those who have the Car Pass and costs for everyone else. Out on Tuesday 3rd November this pack is certain to have people divided, as is becoming normal with these Forza packs. 22. Logitech G DLC https://youtu.be/8SncwA1V05c It is a new month after the release of Forza Motorsport 6 and that means that a new Car Pack must be very close. Well it is, and it's actually coming out today, October 6th. In fact at the time of this posting the Logitech G Car Pack is probably out for most regions with others able to get theirs in the next few hours or so. This pack appears to follow the typical formula of six premium models with the obligatory freebie for all, to enable players to see one another without the need for default or ghost cars to represent them or others while playing online. There is quite a mixed bag with this new pack, from a 1939 Grand Prix racer to a full-length Limousine. Yep, you read that correctly -- there is an actual Limo in this DLC. We cannot wait to see the videos of these machines racing around, diving down the inside and going for the very long pass on the straights. The pack is lead by the Caparo T1, you all remember that right? It was the F1 car for the road, broke down many times for Clarkson on Top Gear and almost burned down while Jason Plato was testing it on Fifth Gear. Thankfully we do not expect the virtual representation to emulate these faults, but you never know! Next up is four eras of historic racer: a pre-WWII Grand Prix champion, 60s F1 'Hondola', 90s turbocharged IMSA 300ZX and a Le Mans prototype racer. For the more serene of you there is the 1967 Volvo 123GT "AMAZON" (our Swedish staff member seems very keen on this). A boring Sunday driver this is not, having raced in both on and off-road disciplines it is somewhat of a legend for some. And finally for the 'Ranjit' fans from HIMYM there is a the Cadillac Limo, where we expect a number of new unofficial game modes to come out due to its use. 2013 Caparo T1 1939 Mercedes-Benz W154 1967 Honda RA300 ('Hondola') 1994 Nissan #75 Cunningham Racing 300ZX 2014 Toyota #12 Rebellion Racing R-One 1967 Volvo 123GT 2013 Cadillac XTS Limousine You are also recommended to check out the Rivals mode that is specially designed for the Caparo T1. The free car looks to be the 2015 Infiniti Q60. It's shown in the video but not listed in the official release for the pack and is instead mentioned as coming for FREE to everyone via the October Update. Source: ForzaMotorsport.net
  23. [headline]Forza Motorsport 6 Announced[/headline] Where better a place to announce the next iteration of your extremely popular racing series than at a HUGE motorshow? That's exactly what Microsoft and Turn 10 have done alongside Ford with the announcement that Forza Motorsport 6 will be coming exclusively to Xbox One as the series hits its 10-year anniversary this year (yes Forza Motorsport came out in 2005 folks!). The partnership with Ford will also see the new Ford GT that was only just revealed at the autoshow itself becoming the 'cover car' of the sixth title. As we here know, Forza Motorsport is a very much loved and respected racing franchise and it will be very exciting to see how it evolves over its predecessor, especially when you consider what Forza Horizon 2 included within it, and of what Project Cars will bring itself to the racing genre on the Xbox platform, releasing earlier this year. 2014 was a decent year for the racing game, it looks like 2015 will be following that nicely too. [subhead]Forza Motorsport 6 - Announce Video[/subhead] Only the very basic mention and video above is all we have been shown but as per the case usually with a FM title, we will no doubt hear and see a whole lot more at E3 in June.
  24. Wait... Free? That's what it says. In a nice surprise today, Turn 10 have announced that Road America will be the first Track-addon to come to it's racing-simulator for Xbox One, not only that though as it's going to be FREE!! Loyalists of the Forza series may not see this as much of a thing as Road America has been a firm staple of the games in the past. However with the whole mass DLC campaign and the move over to in-game transactions which to be fair have been curtailed back with the updates people were starting to fear that they were going to be effectively gouged from their pockets for any additional worthwhile content for the game. So this is indeed much appreciated and we hope it's not the only piece of thanks that they intend on giving out to their fans and community in 2014. Road America is being offered as a fully-integrated addition to the “Forza Motorsport 5” experience and will be automatically added into the Career events for the racing career. Players will be able to take part in races on the circuit in both the main Career events as well as Career bonus events which are available after a Mini-Career series is complete. In addition, for the first time in the “Forza Motorsport” series, Road America will feature four alternate ribbons that will test the limits of each and every player. Players will also now find new Road America-themed events in Rivals Mode and in the multiplayer lobbies.
