GT Sport Receives Ten Awesome Cars And Monza! The full details of the 10 cars that will be arriving in GT Sport in an update this week have been revealed, and so to has the surprise bundling in of the Monza racetrack with it! And even though we sort of worked out the majority of the cars that were in the image posted on twitter by Kazunori Yamauchi last weekend, there were a few we either weren’t sure about or just didn’t know, but now with the trailer below and the accompanying stunning images, the complete list to come, and a look at their incredible in-game recreations, are available for us to behold. (that Diablo GT!!) Avid fans of Gran Turismo will recognise that all of these are returning cars and have been in past releases, however, unlike some other games out there, Polyphony Digital will go to extraordinary levels when bringing the next generation of car models to their latest. And as annoying as it can be to hear about how long it takes to do this, the final result can not be dismissed. [gallery link=file" columns="2" size="small-post-image" ids="7657,7658,7659,7660] GT Sport January Update DLC Cars 2002 Dodge Viper GTS (N500) 1967 Ferrari 330 P4 (Gr.X) 1976 Ferrari 512BB (N400) 2006 Ford GT (N600) 1966 Jaguar XJ13 (Gr.X) 2000 Lamborghini Diablo GT (N600) 1994 McLaren F1 (N600) 1967 Toyota 2000GT (N200) 2014 Toyota FT-1 (N500) 1997 Toyota Supra RZ (N300) GT Sport Gets A New Track! As if the selection of metal being delivered in this update, which is out today, wasn’t enough, there is also the inclusion of the Monza circuit in two configurations for players to test them out on. And with a number of these vehicles being able to hit some high speeds, Monza is as good a place as any to really see what sort of numbers they can put out! [gallery columns=2" size="small-post-image" link="file" ids="7653,7654,7655,7656] A real fan favourite because of its high-speed nature and its somewhat easy to remember layout, the track is a lot more demanding than it looks. Many of us have no doubt come undone by not braking in time at the first chicane, or have put a wheel or two into the gravel and been dragged off at the final turn. It may be cliché, but Monza is most definitely one circuit that is ‘easy to learn, hard to master’. Extra Layouts for Autodrome Lago Maggiore There’s more racing lines to be learned in the way of three new additional layouts for the fictional Maggiore, with Centre, East and West in both regular and reverse versions being added. Increase in ‘GT League’ Events Four new events will also make their way into the single-player career mode of ‘GT League’, something fans will be delighted to see as the initial offerings have probably already been beaten several times by them. Gran Turismo Sport Gets A Proper Campaign The big update for Gran Turismo Sport that many have been waiting for is here. The single player ‘GT League’ mode comes via today’s 1.09 update and is effectively the good old GT single player campaign many adore the series for. Launching only back in October, the latest Gran Turismo game did appear to be suffering from a less than stellar response from fans of previous iterations. It’s online focus and bare bones 'campaign' saw players taking a 'wait and see' approach, resulting in substantial price drops, especially across Europe. GT League However, the tides turned when the news about the upcoming release of ‘GT League’ and more cars came out, and those fans who were on the fence, started to snap up copies. Series names such as 'Sunday Cup' and 'Clubman Cup' will be familiar to players of the games from before. It's not too shabby either, as there is a decent amount of content here to start off with, and with a promise to add more over time it is sure to keep players' attention in the future also. [caption id=attachment_7433" align="aligncenter" width="800] Hello old friends![/caption] Leagues do have a Driver Level requirement in order to enter and so racking up those wins will be important. Twelve Brand New Cars! A batch of twelve gloriously detailed cars from the continents of Europe, North America and Asia make their way in through this update too. Included amongst them are favourites like the: Nissan Skyline R32 and R34, Ferrari F40, Lamborghini Countach LP400, Chevrolet Corvette C3 Stingray Convertible, and even a Volkswagen Samba Bus! GT Sport: 'Holiday Update' Cars Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A (FD) Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II (R32) Nissan Skyline GT-R V・spec II Nür (R34) Ford F-150 SVT Raptor Lamborghini Countach LP400 Ferrari F40 Ferrari Enzo Ferrari KTM X-BOW R Suzuki Swift Sport Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2 (T1) Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevy Nova Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible (C3) New Track Layout Even though it’s not a whole new environment, a demanding new layout comes in the form of the “Kyoto Driving Park + Miyabi”. As you can tell this is created by joining together the two tracks to make one super circuit. And as if it wasn’t enough when heading the right way around the track, the reverse is an even bigger challenge and will be sure to test even the most hardened racer. We have added the “Yamagiwa + Miyabi” layout, a 6.8km long track connecting the “Yamagiwa” and ”Miyabi” tracks of the Kyoto Driving Park. The connections add 2 hairpins to the track which increase the track’s level of technical difficulty. Other Stuff Another notable addition that comes with the 1.09 update is the new “Season’s Greetings” group for Scapes which contains multiple settings to help players add some seasonal joy and festivities to their images.
