  1. [HEADLINE]GTA Online: The Doomsday heist[/HEADLINE] Well this is something totally unexpected! A brand new Heist for GTA Online arrives on December 12th and it is looking EPIC!! It might also bring a close to the whole Mount Chiliad thing too, which will be amazing to see if it goes the way people are thinking. It really is unreal how they have supported this game over its years.
  2. The love it or hate it GTA Online reaches - in active video game terms - the good old age of 4 this month and to celebrate this achievement Rockstar will be giving a generous $400,000 of in-game cash to players who log in from yesterday through to November 6th. And as this also falls at the same time as Halloween, the game will have plenty of spooky cosmetic extras to kit your character(s) out with, along with a new vehicle, adversary mode, bonuses and lots of discounts to take advantage of! Note: These don't all have the same times of availability, therefore check you get what you want before time runs out. This game just keeps on giving! http://www.rockstargames.com/newswire/article/60295/Celebrate-4-Years-of-GTA-Online-Halloween-Specials-GTA-400K-Giveaway-a
  3. After hearing how much Take-Two are in love with GTA Online because of the amount of money it brings in, and the ever flowing stream of updates, content and mods that's available for it now and those that will continue to release for it. I was wondering if you guys still play it? I do enjoy it and I know the grind can be tedious but watching my kid brother on his Xbox One on it, I realised that there is a lot of game here for the money. And there are plenty of ways to make money in it too. It is obvious that it's made that bit more uneasy and requires some time (but not as much as some would make you think) compared to just splurging on those Shark cards, but I have to say I do like it, however I worry about future Rockstar games because of its success. :susp: What about you? Do you feel the game is pay to win? Do you enjoy it, hate it, or maybe even wish it was never created?
  4. UPDATE: The Title Update also fixed the following issues too. Fix for interface issues when using Internet on the cell phone after completing the game, or during a mission replay Fix for the Vanilla Unicorn occasionally becoming locked Fix for issues where the character’s money could drop below zero and become stuck there Fix for the Epsilon Program missions not progressing properly after delivering some cars Fix for issue where the Atomic Blimp sometimes does not appear as a phone contact for Collector’s Edition owners Fix for issues with saved vehicles going missing, or losing their upgrades Fixes for several map escape and collision issues along with other various bug fixes GTA Online is a go! It's being switched on all over the world gradually and you will know if you have it as you will prompted for a title update/patch when you start your game next. Have you tried it? Is there any issues you've experienced? It's obvious that small problems will be encountered at the start as R* work on getting the server level up to what's needed, as this section of the game is something MANY have been waiting for!
  5. Are You Ready to get Your GTA:Online Pimp On? By now you should all have the GTA:Online Update 1.33 which brings along yet more free updates to the online world of GTA. Most notably a few new cars for you to customise at Bennys. If you have the millions of $ required that is... For those of you that are fashion conscious, even in GTA you can now choose from 3 new styles for both male and female characters, over 120 new pieces of clothing, a handful of tattoos and much more. There is also a huge list of bugfixes that must be well over 100 points long. It takes an age just to scroll past them, let alone read them all! How long can they go on supporting this game to such a standard? Only time will tell but while they're still hot with GTA:Online, get out there and make the most of it. You can check out the full list of additions and fixes over at Rockstar [gallery columns=4" link="file" ids="4476,4472,4471,4470]
  6. GTA, Will You Be My Valentine? Is spending a special day with your significant other not really for you? Well, thanks to Rockstar you can now spend the day playing Grand Theft Auto Online with your friends. It's not the biggest update in the history of GTA:O but it shows that they're still happy and content with supporting the game which is great to see! It's time to get your mits on an updated Albany Roosevelt for a limited time only! Why have an old school car if you can't match yourself to it? Check out the new clothes. Now all you need is a gun to match. The update is out now on the PS4, XB1 and PC so what are you waiting for?
  7. Low Rider, High Spender GTA V has been out for a while, but luckily Rockstar decides to update the game once in a while with new content and challenges to make you visit Los Santos again. This time, a new FREE DLC has been released with a strong focus on vehicles. Before we look at the DLC, a warning might be in the right place here for those who play on Xbox 360 or PS3. Rockstar already announced a while ago that they would eventually stop bringing new content to those two consoles because of their hardware capacity. Well, that time has come. From this DLC onwards, you’ll need the PC, Xbox One or PS4 version to play with the new content. Enough about limits, back to possibilities. Enter Strawberry, a lower-class industrial and residential area in Los Santos. Few people live here though, industry rules most of the property here and whoever does live here most likely had no choice. But we’re not interested in Franklin, or whoever lives here, we’re interested in somebody who bought a big building so he could spray the front of it with bright colors, fancy letters and weird characters. His name is Benny, and he is the new customizer in town. You will be introduced to Benny and his shop by Lamar. He will call you to do a mission which starts and ends at Benny’s Original Motor Works. After that introduction, there will be more missions Lamar will have ready for you to invest in ammo for. Benny’s Original Motor Works is a new shop that specializes in low-riders. Don’t look for racing kits or off-road enhancements, this is not Los Santos Customs. What you can buy from Benny looks special and sounds special. [caption id=attachment_3330" align="alignnone" width="800] Meet Benny, the new customizer in Los Santos[/caption] Benny likes to keep his work exclusive though, and you can reach exclusivity easily through two factors: availability and pricing. Yep, it’s not available for every car. Benny's first principle of exclusivity teaches that he only works on 6 cars of which 2 are new: the Declasse Moonbeam (with sliding doors!) and the Willard Faction (Buick Regal GNX). The 4 existing ones you can customize are the Vapid Chino, Albany Primo and Buccaneer and Declasse Voodoo. The cars can be bought through Benny’s own website for prices from $5500 to $225,000. [caption id=attachment_3326" align="alignnone" width="800] All 6 cars you can customize in Benny's shop.[/caption] Then comes the fun and slightly awkward bit. You can’t just drive in and upgrade. Nope, Benny needs a custom vehicle base to start with, hence why you have to upgrade the car to a 'Custom' version. This is where you meet Benny’s second principle of exclusivity: prices that make you pull your hair out. Although in all honesty, Benny prefers cash or credit cards rather than hair. [caption id=attachment_3321" align="alignnone" width="800] Yep, you have to spend this money before customizing a car.[/caption] After upgrading your car to a Custom version, which adds stuff like new wheels and a base hydraulics system, you can start customizing the car. The DLC has added over 30 new wheels which are only available through Benny’s shop, as well as a lot of new ways to change your ride. Liveries with pin-striping and complex graphics, improved sound systems, various interior options, bobbleheads, hydraulics and even a set of wheels the LNER Mallard engineers could only dream of. You don’t have to choose Benny’s low-rider wheels though, all the other wheels in the game are also available to choose, including custom tires (several types of whitewalls!) and the big color choice for the rims. [caption id=attachment_3325" align="alignnone" width="800] Steam engines would be happy to get those[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3319" align="alignnone" width="800] You can change interior designs and colors.[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3320" align="alignnone" width="800] One of the optional hydraulic systems[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3318" align="alignnone" width="800] Engines can be fitted with valvecovers, turbochargers and airfilter housings.[/caption] Thankfully the DLC is not just pure low-rider parts, but a combination of new content, fixes and new features. The Interaction menu has been expanded and now allows for instant purchase of ammo. No body armor though, that you will still have to buy at your authorized Ammunation retailer. There are 2 more new features in the interaction menu, both vehicle related. You can now get out of the car, turn the engine on, turn the headlights on and even choose the radio channel that should be played. All of that as a bit more immersion for the low-rider show-off. You can also open doors, trunks and bonnets, all at a time or independently from each other. That way you can actually show those engraved air filter housings, or that neon-illuminated sound setup. And for a change, these features are not just exclusive to the 6 low-rider cars… [caption id=attachment_3322" align="alignnone" width="800] An example of a custom Primo[/caption] [caption id=attachment_3331" align="alignnone" width="800] Opening cars remotely works on all vehicles you own.[/caption] In addition, the DLC now allows you to own a fourth property. Don’t mix this up with an actual new mansion or something being added, you can just buy a fourth apartment or garage from the ones already available. In my opinion this is a neat DLC but at the same time perhaps a frustrating one. At least let’s put it this way: you have reasons to spend in-game money again. The available options for the 6 cars Benny will work on come in huge numbers so there’s always a combination you’ll like. It’s nice to own four properties now and the Inventory allowing you to buy ammo directly is a useful support in those tight situations. At the same time though, I wonder why Rockstar went so far with all those customization options only to limit it to 6 cars. They also chose a weird combination of those 6 vehicles since there is a van in Benny’s list but not a Tornado or Peyote. I’m also sure a lot of owners of sports cars and luxury cars would like to change the interior colors or add some new engine parts. Maybe this is something that will be added later, if the Banshee, Peyote and Cheetah in the shop are anything to go by. Happy Halloween! The Low-rider DLC also prepared GTA Online for the just-released Halloween update. This adds 2 more vehicles: the Franken Stange hotrod and the Lurcher Hearse. Note that these two are cars for Los Santos Customs, so don’t expect Benny to do his magic on these. The update also adds dozens of new masks and facepaints as well as a flashlight which can be bought from Ammunation. Yes, it’s a weapon too, one strike to the head takes half your health away. [Ed - guess you could say it makes you light-headed!] The Low-rider DLC and the Halloween DLC are free updates for GTA Online only and is for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
  8. Yeah well ermm, my game glitched for some reason and now I can run underwater, use my gun and even take phone calls under the sea. :oook: my 2nd character God. Is that you? The light rays dance at the right angle :) Erm Merryweather won't send you a boat ....but they will send a Helo! :fp:
  9. [headline]GTA Online: The High Life -Tue 13th May[/headline] Coming next week on Tuesday May 13th, it's time to expand your foothold in Los Santos with The High Life Update for Grand Theft Auto Online, which features new high-end apartments, multi-property ownership, four new vehicles, the powerful Bullpup Rifle and more. This automatic update to GTA Online adds five new options to the Los Santos real estate market at prime locations like Eclipse Towers, Richards Majestic and others, all featuring the latest new interior design. With multi-property ownership, you'll also now be able to own two distinct properties simultaneously. DAMN UGLY COLOURS R*! For those looking to take advantage of the expanded garage space that comes with owning an extra property, there's a trio of exquisite new cars plus a hot new motorcycle to add to your collection. The Enus Huntley S (SUV), Dewbauchee Massacro (Sports), Pegassi Zentorno (Super) and Dinka Thrust (Motorcycle) will all be available to purchase in GTA Online from Legendary Motorsport - and accessible from any garage property in Story Mode. The High Life Update also adds 'Non Contact' to the bevy of available Race options, which will allow you to play standard Races with collisions disabled between player's vehicles (other players appear as semi-transparent and you'll still be able to collide with non-player traffic, structures and other scenery). You can also protect your investments with Ammu-Nation's latest arrival, the powerful Bullpup Rifle. And the new Mental State player stat shows you just how passive or psychotically unhinged fellow players in your session really are – so you'll know if you need to have it at the ready when they approach. The High Life Update also includes new wardrobe options, vehicle horns and player toasts/celebrations as well as 15 new Jobs - including 5 new Contact Missions. Thanks - GTA Online: The High Life Update Coming Next Week Tuesday May 13th | Rockstar Games
  10. As you may know GTA Online is offline right now for "maintenance", though a more fitting term would probably be "cleaning-up", as Rockstar has just recently posted on their website about how they are aiming at the cheaters and exploiters who have been dishing out hundreds of millions and even billions to players. They also clarify what will happen to those of us who innocently received the money and how they are removing the "game-breaking" amounts of $GTA cash. Thanks - Taking Aim at GTA Online Cheaters | Rockstar Games What do you think of this? I know I didn't feel the need to do Jobs and such due to the money and the amount of tanks roaming around made it somewhat annoying and chaotic, but yet fun at the same time. So I don't know how I feel either way.
  11. UPDATE: 19th November 2013 IT'S OUT! Note: The update will download first then you will be prompted that you need to download a 'Compatibility Pack', this can be easily found at the 'Store'. The blog itself has mentioned some of it's favourites. What are you looking forward to in this pack? Do you even still play GTA V and GTA Online? Share your wisdom, we need a laugh. via GTA Online Free Beach Bum Update Hits Next Week: New Weapons, Vehicles, Jobs and More | Rockstar Games
  12. Rockstar realise they have messed up and in doing so have bitten the biscuit and decided to ease a lot of the pain by bribing us all. Personally I am cool with this and to be honest didn't expect it, however is it a soother to the fact they can't restore characters perhaps? Who knows but either way this a nice way of fixing some of the ill-will felt towards them due to the issues and hassles with GTA Online since it's launch. 13. Since losing my first character I have been taking advantage of selling high-priced cars to the 'Los Santos Customs' Mod Shop to bulk up my monies and in doing so have found some of the prices out of the vehicles in doing so. So if you know of a car that is a good value for selling then please post it and we'll see if we can get a helpful TOP TRUMPS type list going. GTA Online: Top Selling Prices (the real-world equivalent that may make it easier to identify) Benefactor Dubsta: $7,000 (Mercedes-Benz G55) Dundreary Landstalker: $5800 (Toyota Land Cruiser) Gallivanter Baller: $9000 (Range Rover [old]) Gallivanter Baller: $9000 (Range Rover) Lampadati Felon: $9000 (Jaguar XF / Maserati Quattroporte) Lampadati Felon GT: $9500 (Jaguar XKR Cabriolet / Maserati GranTurismo Cabriolet) Ocelot F620: $8000 (Maserati GranTurismo Coupe) Obey Rocoto: $8500 (Porsche Cayenne) Obey Tailgater: $5500 (Audi A6) Ubermacht Oracle: $8000 (BMW 7 Series [old]) Ubermacht Oracle Coupe: $8000 (BMW 5/7 Series) Ubermacht Zion Cabrio: $6500 (BMW M6 Cabriolet)
  14. UPDATE FROM Rockstar Loss of characters, rank, items, apartments, and/or in-game money in GTA Online Rockstar Support Note: When the Rockstar Cloud Services are unavailable, you are given the option to still play online on disc-based content (rather than R* Cloud content). You are asked to confirm before entering Multiplayer whether you would like to play on a temporary character, without the ability to save. If you confirm this option, please note that none of your old characters will be available for that play session, and the temporary character you create will not be saved. If you want to make sure the characters you create are saved, you should not proceed into GTA Online when the R* Cloud Servers are unavailable. Even if the services come back up while you are playing on a temporary character, that temporary character will not save -- you would need to return to Single Player and re-enter GTA Online to load your non-temporary characters and resume playing with the ability to save progress. Note: When exiting GTA Online, please pause the game and choose to return to Single Player. This will trigger a save and ensure that progress since the last auto-save is recorded. If you purchase items and immediately power the console off or exit through console system menus, those items may not be saved. Note: Please do NOT use the “Retry” button after receiving the message “Rockstar Cloud Servers are unavailable” as this may result in loss of character data. If you are trying to access GTA Online and Rockstar Cloud Servers are unavailable, please exit to GTAV Story Mode and try entering GTA Online again through the Pause menu in Story Mode. We will be issuing a title update that will fix this issue as soon as possible. ********************************************* Hey guys I have seen a few people here talking about how they find their GTA Online characters gone when trying to connect, well I just had it and also saw the error messages about the "Rockstar cloud being down" and thought oh no, not me too. But alas, I went back to GTA V Single Player, hit my Guide button and went back to Dashboard and started the game again. This time of course selecting 'A' when it was loading to go Online. Again error message about the cloud but here is the difference, this time when I pressed 'Retry' the game gave me the message about the 'cloud being down' but it gave me the option to 'Retry' again. If you get this keep hitting 'Retry', however if you get the 'Character Select' with no characters showing, either back out or quit. DO NOT create a new character in the slot of your online character as you will overwrite that slot with a newer character compared to what is stored on the cloud and thus lose your online character. If you happen to lose your character while online, during the tutorial or any other event then chances are though, that it is gone. Also make sure to check your career overview on the Rockstar Social Club website and see if it still shows your character before losing all hope. (refresh a couple of times if it's blank) tl;dr: basically your character and stats is stored on a the cloud (a bunch of servers), if the cloud is running at maximum or if there is a connection issue then you character and stats cannot be loaded resulting in no character being shown to you.
