heLLo! I'm sure you're a lil bored too with that plain old default TDU GPS. I was planing to do something about it for some time now, and this week I finally had some free time for myself and decided to give it a try. Step by step, I came with this nice minimalistic design. I tried to keep it clean & sleek as much as possible, so there isn't too much details on it. It isn't based on any real GPS, it's purely fictional. It's a GPS I would love to buy, if it existed in real life, that is. iLLusion TDU GPS cover art To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. Don't get me wrong, I like the direction this GPS design went to, but because of hud limitation my GPS isn't exactly what I had in mind. If you look at my early concept you will notice small (to me it's huge) difference between that and this final product. Most noticeably white part. Screenshot 01 That white part annoys me. I searched inside hud.bnk files, but didn't been able to find a file that have correlation to that white part. Maybe in near future someone with more experience in texture modding will be able to find that particular file. When that happens, I will re-edit this version of GPS with proper color. Screenshot 02 On other note, I'm thinking of making another version of GPS, similar to this one, with only exception it would be in white color. That would solve that ''white part'' problem, but question remains - do we really need a white GPS? Sure we do. We got white iPods, we must have a white GPS too. :p It's not 100% perfect, at least it's better than default one we all get bored to. So that's all folks, thanks for your attention. Cya later. In addition to v1.0 of my Winter Day mod, which have that lovely snowy feeling (http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=15771), here comes a special version that has all that, plus few twists into it, to make things a bit more spicy, and more enjoyable. With Maciuk's permission, I was able to incorporate his awesome fog/night settings into this release. With previous 3 types of weather, we got additional 3 for ultimate winter feeling. Now we can enjoy in driving not only on a beautiful snow day, but under heavy fog (my favorite), light fog, or even at night too! Q&A But, Weather Mod by Maciuk already got all those things? What's so different in this release? Weather Mod by Maciuk is weather tweaking at it's best, but it's not intended for winter driving, unfortunately. It was written for summer/autumn setting, and IMHO, doesn't go very well with Opelos_HUN Crazy Winter mod. That's why I decided to make a custom weather .ini specially for Opelos winter mod. I'm happy with the end result, and I'm hoping you will like it too as well. What's new in v2.0? - height of grass/bushes is 20% smaller, - 3 new additional weather types (powered by Weather Mod by Maciuk), - slower time change, - other minor tweaks. Bugs? - Sorry, no improvement on this level. Bugs are the same as in v1.0. That means main map is still covered in fog. And you even may encounter more of them. That's the small price to pay in order to have weather like this... I just can't imagine a day without driving it. I could just say I'm a bike freak. If I had to choose between my girl and my bike, choice is obvious - bike. At this moment, I'm more into XC and light FR, instead of previous DH. Mostly into XC because I recently discovered all those beautiful Single Tracks in my even more beautiful country. I ride FR occasionally, but not that often... at least for now. But one thing is sure, I'll get back to it in near future. It's more challenging and adrenaline driven. --- I have to mention Batman. Yea, Batman. He's my all-time favorite superhero. --- You could say I'm a Trekkie too. I watched every single episode of TOS, TNG, DS9 and VOY. ENT isn't exactly my cup of tea, as Englishman would say. And hell yeah, I watched every single ST movie. --- Music? My music taste range from indie/alternative rock, electro to hip-hop. My all-time favorite is definitely Modest Mouse, an indie rock band. I just love, and I mean love every single song from them.
