  1. For all newcomers that are unable to find answers via searching, please ask your questions regarding the acquisition and installation of TDU2 PC mods in this thread after reading through this thread to make sure your query hasn't already been answered. Link to Unpacker GUI: Xarlith : TDU2 Unpacker GUI [v1.1] - Japan Language Support | turboduck forum Now how to insert a mod: After unpacking the game correctly you will find some more subfolders in the "Euro"-folder (e. g. avatar, database, frontend...and so on...). In these folders you will find files that in most cases can be modded. The most important folder "vehicules". Here you find all ingame-cars. C:\...\tdu2\Euro\bnk\vehicules\ here are 4 folders that are important - high (carbody) - interiors ("inside-life" of the cars) - med (make you see the same car (as yours modded one) on other player/s when drives it in game) - rims (selfexplaining, rims sorted by brands) additionally in some cases: C:\...\TDU2\Euro\Bnk\sound\vehicles\gtr_high.bnk (carsound, but not every package has a separate mod for the carsound) Example on a certain car (e. g. Nissan GT-R) Files of the car: - gtr.bnk (in the high-folder) - gtr_i.bnk (in the interior-folder) - gtr_med.bnk (in the med-folder) - gtr_low.bnk (in the med-folder) - gtr_f_01 (frontrims in the rim/nissan-folder) - gtr_r_01 (rearrims in the rim/nissan-folder) The files in the modpackage have the same names, cause it's needed for working. Only the content of the bnk-files is different (in other words modded). And the modded files have to be copied into the needed folders, that means they replace the originial files. Little advice from my side: make a savecopy of the hole "Euro"-folder, so if something gets messed up meanwhile modding, you still have all original files. Important is, that only the car can be replaced, which files are in the modding-package. It is possible to switch (e. g.) a nissan gt-r with a bugatti. But the car looks like crap afterwards. That's all folks ;) All previous threads asking about this have been merged and are below... please read through it - someone may have already asked your question.
  2. Hello all, I am having issues with car mods. I have unpacked my TDU2 game and watched videos on YouTube on how to install mods and I replace the files from the downloaded mod yet the old car from TDU2 is still there. I don't understand how this can be happening as I am replacing the files. Any help to fix this issue would be great, thanks.
  3. Hi all, I found a BMW M5 E34 mod and it has a performance pack with it. I am using Dredgy's TDUPE 2.5 to install the pack. I select the Mercedes-Benz CLS 55 AMG as that is the car that is being replaced by the BMW I downloaded. I then click "Load Car" and then click "Performance Packs" and a drop down menu appears and I click "Import Performance Pack". I select the BMW's and import it and then click "Save Car" and then finally click "Save All Changes". When I go to start the game up it crashes. Any help would be great, thanks.
  4. found the mods here on the forum (one I am interested in is the one that changes the environment)! How do I use it?
  5. Hello, I thought I'd have a look what car replacement mods had been released for TDU2, found a few I liked and downloaded them. I figured out that in order to install, I'd have to unpack my game. I found a little archive to download for that, followed the unpack command, let it do its thing; and that bit seems to have gone smoothly. Next step, which seemed fairly straightforward, and was the same for all the car mods I had downloaded, was to backup the original .bnk files and replace them with the new ones from each mod, in the various subdirectories of the vehicles folder, such as 'high', 'interiors', 'med' and 'rim'. So, I took the original files I intended on replacing and put them in a backup folder, somewhere completely different, on a different hard drive of my computer even, and then put the files that came with the mods into the game's bnk folders instead. And I did this for each mod, in each directory as it should be. However, when I start the game (through the 1.5 universal launcher, if that's of any relevance), the game works fine, no crashes or anything, but the mods haven't taken effect, and what I find really weird considering that the original car files aren't even on the same hard drive any more, is that the original cars show up, instead of the mod ones. One thing I am wondering; each mod came with files for 'high' and 'med' res, but the original game has files for 'low' res as well, under the 'med' directory. I tried changing the graphics settings a few times in case that had anything to do with it; but the original cars were still there. Also, one of the mods did have a replavement file for the 'low' res version (as well as med and high res) so it's very odd that that one didn't work. Obviously, I must be missing something. Is there some sort of magicmap equivalent for TDU2, or have I missed out some important step here ? I've double checked and yes, none of the original files (for the cars intended to be replaced) are still in the game directory, and the directories do contain all the files for the mod cars. If anyone could enlighten me, I'd sure appreciate it; these mods seem to be working for everybody else, so the problem must be somewhere on my end. - Dan EDIT: sorted it out. Apparently it had something to do with certain files not being in a backup folder.

A: You most likely didn't install magic map and as a result TDU cannot read the file due to high file size. Q: Why's my camera to low? A: You didn't read my guide on camera swapping, or you have swapped the incorrect camera so check back on what you have swapped. Q: When I do an IK swap why does the drivers hands move but the seat belt fix itself? A: If you swap a IK to fix things like driver hands and seat belt sometimes things can change so you would have to play around with IK's till you find one that suits you and does not contain these issues.
  7. I decided to make this tutorial since installing a car is very simple thing once you do it by yourself. People have asked many times from me how to do it. Remember, modding your game might affect to multiplayer functionality. 1. Download SparkIV » This works with v1.0.0.4 2. Use WinRAR software to extract package » Homepage 3. Extract SparkIV directory anywhere you want 4. Open SparkIV 5. Press Browse 6. Scroll down the list and then choose Models » cdimages » Vehicles.img 7. Choose the car you want Sites: » www.gta4mods.com » www.gtainside.com » www.gta-expert.com » www.gta-modding.it » gta-worldmods.t-n-network.de 8. Download it and extract package same way like you did with SparkIV package 9. This might be the best moment to make backup files from the car that you are about to replace. You can do it in SparkIV, simply choose both files (.wtd and .wft), then we’ll choose “Export” function. After that save files to anywhere you want. 10. After backup files, let’s replace them with new ones. Choose “Import” and open both new files. 11. After that press “Save” 12. Close SparkIV. After that you can replace new handling, vehicle and carcols (Car colors) “values” that possibly came with the new car, there always isn't a custom values made for the new car. This isn’t required to do but might give you better experince in the game. 13. Replacing those values is simple and it happens by using notepad. You can find those text files from the game folder » \common\data. However, before opening them, choose all those three text files I mentioned earlier (step 13) and open their properties by right mouse button, then remove read-only check and apply changes. This needs to be done only once. 14. After that you can keep editing those text files. For example, let's edit handling value which is ofcourse located at handling.dat file. 15. Open it and search for the car name that you have replaced with some new car 16. Copy and paste new line from the car readme file. After that save it. Repeat this method with vehicle.ide and carcols.dat DO NOT REMOVE ANY SPACE BETWEEN NUMBERS OR CHARACTERS! DON'T MAKE ANY NEW SPACES EITHER. -- OLD IMAGE REMOVED (imageshack) -- Other useful things: ASI Loader, loads .asi scripts - http://alexander.sannybuilder.com/Files/IVAsiLoader.rar Filecheckfix, this sort of makes game think that you have original files - http://alexander.sannybuilder.com/Files/IV.FileCheckFix.rar ^ Place dsound.dll and filecheckfix.asi to game directory. Hopefully that was helpful guide and you understood my english  Ask if you need any help.
