  1. The hype is real, kids - Santtu and I have ONCE AGAIN tossed around the idea of reviving a Race League while the game is hot - anyone who'd be interested in taking part please let us know so we can calculate accordingly! :D Update: DETAILS ARE HERE! Been doing lots of planning, so now you guys can start your building! ***SEASON 1 ANNOUNCED*** Sport Compact Division Homologation 2016 Mazda MX-5 2015 Subaru WRX STi 2014 Honda Civic Si 2013 Subaru BRZ 2011 Subaru WRX STi 2011 RX-8 R3 2009 Honda S2000 CR 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X GSR 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STi Track List: TIMES TBA Lime Rock w/ Chicane Suzuka Road Atlanta Rio De Janeiro Spa Francorchamps Yas Marina Standings: Paladin Skylark Santtu Carlos_69 Mau92
  2. [headline]ViralBunny 3: With a Vengeance[/headline] What's this about? Think of it as turboduck's own Rivals, but with some proper rivalry in the community. The Rules: You must use the car (or a car that meets the restrictions) and track chosen by the previous winner. Tuning/Setups are allowed this week. Dirty laps do not count, stay off the lawn kids. Laps do not have to be from a standing start (flying laps count). If you already have a faster lap recorded outside of the competition, this does not count, you must record another and take a picture for proof. Banana for scale. If you win, don't forget to chose a car/track for the next week before Monday! Make sure to do your times in RIVALS (or free play), they will not be recorded in test drive. The time attack ends Saturday at 23:59 GMT and the winner has 24 hours to choose, then it defaults to the person in second if no choice is made. 4. [headline]Time Attack League[/headline] [ATTACH]24433[/ATTACH] Earlier this year, Prophecy came up with a great idea for some community competition. What is it, I hear you ask? I'll let him explain in his own words: All you have to do is set the fastest time. So, each week a car or car restrictions and a track will be chosen by the winner of the previous week. It can be any car, or it can be car restrictions such as: Class, Performance Index, FWD/RWD/AWD, Mid-Engined, Naturally Aspirated, Pre-1970, etc. That is up to you, if you win. :smig: You can choose any track, with any weather. The competition will run from Monday to Saturday (beginning and ending at 00:00 UTC/GMT), which should allow plenty of time for the winner to choose the next track. Think of it as turboduck's own Rivals, but with some proper rivalry in the community. (Camel I can't wait to beat you) The Rules: You must use the car (or a car that meets the restrictions) and track chosen by the previous winner. Tuning/setups are allowed. Dirty laps do not count, stay off the lawn kids. Laps do not have to be from a standing start (flying laps count). If you already have a faster lap recorded outside of the competition, this does not count, you must record another and take a picture for proof. 5. As ever I'm here to propose what I always propose - some kind of league for GT6.. we all need to work together to make something happen, I'm sure it could be some good fun if we get enough people involved. I was thinking some kind of enduro racing, so we'd have to pit, etc. I know Ryan has his own league thingy in Straya or whatever, I was interested in hearing from everyone on their thoughts?
  6. So ROOZ raced against AZGT but were left disappointed from their lack of driving standards. So now ROOZ decided to try again by racing against ORS, and OCMB suggested to make it a three-way with 5 drivers representing each league over 3 rounds. Each league will host one race, choosing the car, track, and tyres. I stuck my hand up to race for OCMB (knowing I'd be one of the slowest drivers - the other 2 leagues are a much higher calibre) just because I haven't raced in a while and felt like getting back into it. So the Australiasian (AU + NZ) GT Community Championship was born. Round One - Hosted by ROOZ (Race On Oz) Subaru BRZ GT300 Base Model on Racing Hard Tyres at Nurburgring GP/F (23 laps) Unsurprisingly, I qualified down the bottom - 14th of 15 drivers (plus a pace car). Surprisingly, I had a clean race with only 2 minor mistakes and finished in 10th after a good start and consistent pace. Live race: Replay: http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r426/hatfield_daniel/agtccdrivertable_zps855ca97d.png http://i354.photobucket.com/albums/r426/hatfield_daniel/agtccteamtable_zps8cc0b379.png Round Two - Hosted by ORS (Oz Racing Series) Toyota GT86 Base Model on Sport Hard tyres at tbc Round Three - Hosted by OCMB (OzCoMoBros [Australian Company of Motorsport Brothers]) Renault Sport Megane Trophy on tbc tyres at tbc
  7. I'm involved with a weekly Gran Turismo 5 league that has official championship races on Tuesday nights. In this thread you'll be able to find live recordings of each race. The league name is OzCoMoBros, which stands for Australian Company of Motorsport brothers. The league host, Velly (or Velster) is an Engineer and Test Driver at Ford in Geelong. The league structure is as follows: Pre-league - nominate car suggestions (one make or multiple, which cars, vote on a shortlist), same for track selections, and propose other ideas. One or two weeks of test races with the chosen cars at random tracks. Race night (Tuesday): 8:30pm - join the room for hot laps/practice. 9:00pm - a 3 lap shakedown practice race (helps to get rid of Turn 1 kitters). 9:10pm - 10 minutes of qualifying - fastest lap time starts first. 9:20pm - 3x ~20 minute races for points or 1x 60+ minute endurance race with pit stops. All aids are disabled except for ABS x1. All tuning is prohibited. There are two tiers - Tier 1 run harder tyres for the elite drivers, Tier 2 for the decent drivers, and Tier 3 for those who can't drive. I'm in Tier 2, which on average gives me about 2 seconds per lap compared to when I drive on Tier 1 tyres. On the other hand, I am the only person who drives in cockpit view, which balances things out a little. Feel free to mock provide constructive feedback and point out a few things I may have not noticed in the heat of the battle. I openly acknowledge I'm not the worlds best racer [insert gasp here] and currently the races occur when it's hot in here and it's after work so I'm often a bit tired which leads to lazy racing. I'll start posting videos in the next post and keep all links here + a season standings grid as provided by the host. 9. If you took part in our first racing league, you know how this works, but I'll refresh your memory and introduce our rules to any newbies that want to join in on the fun! So officially, welcome back and hello long-awaited Season 3 of the TDUC Racing League! Rules: 1. The goal is to build an S-660 race car. You can buy any car and tune it up to that limit (no SUV's, etc.). The race each week will be roughly around 20-30 minutes. Racing tires must be on your car as well as a full racing roll cage, Forza Aero is also mandatory, no other aero may be put on your car. The car MUST be RWD. Swapping cars mid-season will result in a point deduction! 2. We will do 1 race a weekend, races will take place at 11PM GMT. This means: 10AM (Sunday Morning) for Melbourne/Sydney, 1 AM (For Santtu), 7PM EST and 4 PM PST. If you don't live in any of these timezones, go find a timezone calculator. 3. Tuning is allowed, and more than welcomed. You will have to tune to stay competitive in this competition! 4. Points will be awarded according to finishing position, and how many people join up. An example is below. If 10 people race, the winner will recieve 10 points, 2nd will recieve 9, 3rd - 8, and so on - until the person in last has 1 point. 5. Your car needs a custom livery! These are race cars! You can purchase one off the Storefront if you're lazy, but designing your own is even more fun! 6. Everyone is required to make 1 pitstop. When you make the stop is up to you, this can be hard to enforce but in previous seasons everyone has adhered to the rules. (You cannot pit on the very last lap) ((We had a huge, huge problem of people speeding full force into the pits and flying past their pit boxes in the old league, you must NOT miss your stall, if you do, you WILL HAVE TO PIT AGAIN - failure to comply will result in loss of points.)) 7. Rough racing/cheating (such as intentional wrecking or spinning) will result in points removal, and banning from races. 8. We will do a 2 lap qualifying run before the race, so we can set the field. So those are the rules! Sign up today, make sure you tell me what number you want for your car so nobody STEALS it from you and I hope you all come out and have fun with us, just like we used to! Last day for sign-up is March 20th. Sign Up: Clarence - Skylark Gaming (#3) - 2 points Still One Eyed Deer - SuperSanttu94 (#94) - 1 point MrLololololololololXD - MrLolololXD (#21) - 0 Prophecy92 - Pr0ph3cy92 (#17) - 0 randomsox10 - randomsox10 (#10) - 0 pyrre - pyrre6 (#13) - 0 Season Schedule: Infineon Long (3/23/13) - 18 laps (Clarence) Catalunya GP (3/29/13) - 14 laps Road America (4/6/13) - 10 laps Suzuka (4/13/13) - 12 laps Le Mans (4/20/13) - 5 laps Hockenheimring (4/27/13) - 15 laps
