I am in awe to see what @Penfold is up to these days and who he is working for but my gosh has he earned it. And it was obvious that his talent was going to take him places. Even if that ticket was bought by himself. :p This piece by Top Gear is all about how a squadron of super-rare McLaren cars were taken on tour by their private owners. Plenty of shots of the F1 in various guises available to view along with a few of the modern-day P1 too. The images are what make the whole thing, so many excellent shots.
In total, there were 69 ‘standard’ road cars (five of which were prototypes), 28 race cars (some of which have since been made road legal), three F1 GTs (the stunning road-legal ‘Longtail’), and five F1 LMs (those Papaya Orange road-racers built in honour of the five F1 GTRs that finished the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans). A selection of which recently got together for a private owners’ tour. There was one modern McLaren that joined the party, mind. One that’s already set to be a future classic: the junior offspring of the F1 LM, the mighty P1 LM.
I just wish there was some video too! It was fun to watch, but is it fun to drive? Clarkson told us he would organise the car battle of the decade. Clarkson teased us about this epic track battle. And well, Chris Harris delivered. I guess it helps when you don't have to put an entire season together that is bound to be heavily scrutinised upon release. Unless you've been living under a rock, you've already heard about Chris Harris' latest upload. And, unless you've been busy polishing said rock, no doubt you've already seen it. As I am now rocking (sorry) a new headset, I thought I had better bring my Fanatec CSR Elite out of early retirement and answer the age-old question: can men talk and drive at the same time? Oh, and is the P1 really that fun and easy to drive? I also share a few thoughts on the film as I complete two laps of the 'ring. Want to see the film and discuss it with like-minded petrolheads? We have a forum for that.

Hello Guys :) Since Top Gear review the Mclaren P1, I've been obsessed to know more about this car, I wanted to know more and more about it. Top Gear didn't say much about it, it was more for the beauty of the footage. So I wanted to share some videos I saw on youtube of this incredible machine, you will probably agree this car is nothing else like. First Top Gear: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nVJNpwTYhR0 This is the first video I saw about the P1, Autocar didn't made a very good review but it was a nice tease before I watched Top Gear: Chris Harris from /Drive made a perfect review: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb8tGX-HPQE Evo and Richard Meaden talks about it, the driving review will come later: Jay Leno: And Shmee150 did already lots of great videos of it, talks about it, it let us know the car a bit better: McLaren P1 Running in E-mode on Electric Power McLaren P1 Weight Savings and Aerodynamics Tour McLaren P1 Launch Control 0-200km/h Onboard audio McLaren P1 - The King of FLAME THROWERS This car is completely a weapon ! I can't find any bad thing on it ! I think this car is simply perfect. But I admit in my opinion the sound is not the best I ever heard, the LaFerrari sound very good. Can't wait to see a review of it :D Guys what do you think of this incredible peace of engineering ?

Driving P1easure Ever since a few minutes of teaser footage was released showing Chris Harris having some serious fun in the brand new McLaren P1 at the Yas Marina circuit in Abu Dhabi, many have been waiting for the full thing and finally we have it and boy was it worth the wait. In the video which lasts almost 30mins we are taken on a brilliant journey about the latest halo car from McLaren and everything in it is so enjoyable to watch. From the lengthy chat about it's technical aspects, the ride-along and basic test of it's everyday road-going capability, all the way up to the feature presentation of it's on-track prowess and madness and it's all because Harris is so good at conveying what he is experiencing. His descriptions are easily understandable and the reactions on his face tell more than any wise-cracking speech about the components and how they're made could ever say. And anyone who has watched Harris' work, knows that when he says something like the below, that we are truly in for something special and with lots of tire smoke! Am I allowed to spank this thing on a circuit? For any car-loving enthusiast this is essential viewing, it doesn't matter whether you align yourself to a particular make or any of that nonsense as this is simply a video about the joy of driving in an astonishing car. We could tell you all the good parts that's in the video but that would be unfair and it's much better for you to follow the video along and experience them for yourself. So go grab a drink, turn your volume up, sit back and just take in all of the video below. Rough Timeline 0-11mins: Technical and Specifications Talk 12-19mins: On the road around Abu Dhabi 19mins: Some more incredible stats 21mins+: Hitting the track! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kb8tGX-HPQE Thanks /DRIVE YouTube
