Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3: Laguna Seca Preview Images We’re only days away from the Dec. 20th release date of the feature packed Assetto Corsa Bonus Pack 3 arriving on PC, and any worries about Laguna Seca not being in have now been settled with this batch of teaser images. Posted by Kunos’ Licensing Product Manager, Marco Massarutto, the images also give us our first look at another of the free pack’s amazing cars, the Lamborghini Huràcan Performante, shot in a manner that shows the track-honed baby Lambo tackling aspects of the circuit that many a racing fan will recognise – including the infamous Corkscrew. [caption id=attachment_7526" align="aligncenter" width="800] Taking the perfect line through the Corkscrew[/caption] There was little chance that the track would not be in but the missing mentions of it in official texts was causing some to ponder. However, the postings from Massarutto with the images from the track also contain the '#BonusPack' and '#BonusPack3' hashtags. More Automotive Awesomeness! Over the past few days some more of the cars that will be found in the pack have been revealed in both images and video. Showcasing just how formidable the Italians are in the sports, super and hyper car domain. And even though it may not be the one you would associate everyone to be looking at, especially amongst that superb list, the gorgeous Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio has its fair share of fans eager to take it out on to the virtual tarmac. Not least because its inclusion was hinted at a while ago, and so the wait has been tough to handle. Hard to believe that “Bonus Pack 3” is FREE?! When you look at that list below, it is hard to believe that this is a free bonus pack BUT that is exactly what it is! And PC players have only mere days to wait before they get all of it. Project Pagani CARS In light of the news that Project CARS had sold over 2 million copies comes the surprise announcement that a free edition is available now on Steam: Project CARS - Pagani Edition. This heavily streamlined version of the Slightly Mad Studios developed sim-racer features all five of the Pagani models that can be found in the main game and provides players with three tracks to race them on: the full Nürburgring layout of the 24Hour event (yay!), the Monza Grand Prix circuit and the in-house created paradisical Azure Coast. Out of the five Paganis available in this edition, 3 of them are variations of the Zonda, including the undeniably outrageous track-only Zonda R, with the other 2 being of the current Huayra model, one of which is the more hardcore Huayra BC. With full VR ability on both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive plus – as Panasonic liked to show us often – glorious 4K display support, the PC version has always been a showcase product for many a brand and it is obvious why when a glimpse is made of the game running on quality settings. For those who have held out on buying, this is the perfect opportunity to see what they may have missed and perhaps might even sway them into becoming customers of the full game. And should they decide to do so then they can use the turboduck liveried RUF, designed by Milli, that tduck – and former staff – member Ryzza5 generously allowed us to use as part of the perks he received for the level he funded the project at. Project CARS March DLC The teasing of what is to come next to Project CARS this March has started with some images being posted on the official instagram of the game. The first of these shows an outside the window shot from "the next free car", which seemingly from some noticeable clues such as the door and mirror shape, door opener, yellow pullover fabric strap and probably the most telling - the AMG branding on the bottom, signals that this will be the oft-rumoured Mercedes-AMG GT3 finally making its appearance. Next up is something we only recently learned about due to the announcement of the Project CARS Game of the Year Edition coming out this Spring. And if this next car is what we believe it to be then it's a real gem of an offering as despite them trying their best to conceal it, there's one image available online (thanks GTspirit) where working out what it is becomes easy and this is because it shows off all the branding the car had on it before it was removed for some reason. It is this edition that SMS appears to have recreated for the game when modelling the Pagani Zonda Revolucion. It's entirely possible that the March DLC will be that of what is to come with the GOTY edition, along with the addition of the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to keep up the 'a free car every month' that has become commonplace. There was talk of March's DLC being a "track pack" and two of them being mentioned but maybe this was just a cloak and dagger way of keeping the Nürburgring GP + Nordschleife guessing away.

Project CARS Of The Year Project CARS has had a decent impact on the racing genre since its release, taking the fight to Forza Motorsport, Gran Turismo and giving those on PC yet another sim-racer they need to find time to play with amongst their Assetto Corsa, iRacing etc. Looking glorious on the PC has always been an easy selling point for the game, and with the proper wheel support and providing the consoles a more simulation based racer compared to the usual offerings the title has done well in introducing itself and giving others something to think about. It's had its problems sure and it's not had the best PR due to some of the more outspoken members of the team but you cannot deny that the post-release content support by way of their On Demand program and its pricing has been anything short of rather good. For the cost of a typical DLC Pack from the others you could grab yourself 2 or even 3 of those for pCARS and the assortment provided with them caters to a far-reaching audience, from the GT racers to the mad for it Drifters. The free stuff was pretty damn good too it has to be said. If however you have held out this long in grabbing the title, or have actually been waiting for what is now becoming the inevitable Game of the Year/Complete/SUPER AWESOME CHICKEN NUGGETS edition to drop, then get ready to scream in delight stingy, as it's coming in the Spring! Comprising of all the content and updates released for the game so far, the GOTY edition will also include 2 new monsters from the stables of Horatio Pagani: the Pagani Huayra BC that was only recently shown in Geneva and the road-going even more extreme version of the phenomenal Zonda R, the Zonda Revolucion. As for the tarmac faithful, the news that the combined Nürburgring Nordschieife + GP circuit will be showing itself is likely to go down well. Project CARS GOTY Edition Contents Featuring all the elements that made the original core experience a runaway success, the Game of the Year Edition will add even more to what is already the definitive racing sim: An additional 50+ cars (125 total) 4 tracks (35 unique locations, 100+ layouts total) 60+ community-created liveries 500+ features and improvements that have been added since launch In addition, the Game Of The Year Edition will feature two distinctive and exclusive items: The iconic Nurburgring Combined Nordschieife + GP circuit Two Project CARS exclusive vehicles from Pagani – the Zonda Revolucion and Huayra BC unveiled at this year’s Geneva Motor Show Despite how it all sounds from above the additional new content is not only accessible to those who buy a full copy of this new addition. That would be completely unfair to those who already have done and continue to support the game, so it is reassuring to know that all of that stuff will be available for existing owners too, as was clarified by the game's official twitter account. Ring Record Holders Two new cars have joined the Simbin free-to-play racer RaceRoom Racing Experience today, the Pagani Zonda R and the Radical SR9 are now available to players to test drive and buy for use in their game. Moving Day Assetto Corsa has released two videos showing some small but delectable teasers of the moving parts that the games vehicles will have. These include a Ferrari F40 that flutters it's pop-up head-lights at you and a Pagani Zonda R that opens, closes, opens and again closes itself to you. Sensational!

Driving in a Club I doubt anyone would be surprised to see a racing game being revealed for a new console but typically you expect it to be of a known series, and with it being the PlayStation 4 announcement meeting many were no doubt waging their bets on seeing a glimpse of a next-gen Gran Turismo or maybe Motorstorm. This did not happen though, in fact evolution studios the people behind the Motorstorm series revealed a brand new IP, DriveClub, which will feature many real-world cars such as BMW, Pagani and Maserati to name a few. With a name like that you just know that many "first rule of DriveClub" jokes have already made their way out but this game is looking to take a somewhat new approach to the racing game genre with a big emphasis on team-based... or I should say club-based gameplay. You and your club can set-up races and events (on your mobiles!) against other clubs that encompass anywhere from a mere small group to 1000's of players all over the world. DriveClub has only just been announced and a small trailer is all we have right now, but we will be keeping our eyes on this one to see if it is one of the first next-gen racing games worth having. I have Candy, get in the Van! The New Year is fast approaching and in true Turn 10 style they don't let the fact that's it's Christmas or even a new year spoil the festivities, so much so that any chance of a delay coming to their usual 'announcement' and 'release' of the next "monthly DLC" is quickly put to rest with this latest announcement and date of release for the 'Recaro' Car Pack coming for Forza Horizon on the very first day of the brand new year.... yes the 1st January 2013 for those of you trying to work that out. This is a pack that has been labelled as having "something for everyone" and they are not kidding, from the crazy 'yank tank' Cadillac Escalade or the track honed Lexus LFA Nürburging Edition and even a basic GMC van, yes you read that right, a van, so typical looking and dull that it could easily be inserted into the game as an AI civilian and be totally forgotten about. There is indeed! something in this pack that will appeal to everyone, I mean look at this; you have the Exotic muppet with the Pagani, the JDM muppet with the Lexus, the US Muscle muppet with the Mustang, the 'Gangsta' muppet with the Cadillac, the Racer muppet with the Lotus, the 'Sunday Driver' muppet with the SLR McLaren and the 'to be avoided at all costs' muppet with the Van. Whatever category you fall into then fear not as there is a vehicle here especially catered to YOU! Like many other DLC cars in this game, Pagani Zonda Tricolore looks terrible as well. As I improved the SS a few days ago, I decided to upgrade the look if Tricolore too. Droolworthy: Pagani rips the lid off its Cinque for new Roadster model Small-volume manufacturers like Pagani have to build all the variants they possibly can on what few platforms they have in order to continue to squeeze money and public interest out of their models. Thankfully, the company's Zonda is so spectacular that we hardly tire of the seemingly endless number of riffs the Italian automaker is developing on the theme. Their latest is the Cinque Roadster, a decidedly draftier version of the already-released Coupe, itself a street-legal version of the track-only Zonda R. The carbon fiber/titanium Roadster is expected to run to about 217 mph thanks to its 678 horsepower Mercedes-Benz/AMG V12 – a terminal velocity that's the same as its hard-hatted brethren. Because the fixed-head coupe's structure is so robust, Pagani hasn't gone crazy with buttresses and braces, meaning that like the Coupe, the Roadster weighs 1210 kg (2,662 pounds) – a figure that Pagani says should help get the car to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 3.4 seconds. As the story goes, just five examples of the Roadster will be built at a tidy £1.1 million (about $1.8M USD) per copy. We'll take two. Source Gallery
