Salon Prive announces 2009 line-up London-based Supercar expo will feature seven UK debuts and a worldpremiere The UK’s most exclusive supercar showcase is shrugging off the financial crisis and planning its biggest and best event yet for 2009! Now in its fourth year, Salon Prive will once again be held in the opulent surroundings of London’s Hurlingham Club, offering visitors a unique chance to mingle with the latest supercars and a host of irresistible classics. No less than seven new models will be making their UK debuts, including the Maserati Quattroporte GT S, Maybach Zepplin and Morgan Aero Super Sport. But sure to garner most attention will be the £1.2 million Aston Martin One-77 - on display in the UK for the very first time. Going one better though is the Veritas RS III, an outlandish speedster that resurrects a German sports car brand from the forties and makes its world debut at the show. The £250,000 sports car weighs in at just 1,170kg thanks to extensive use of carbon-fibre and the absence of a roof or a windscreen. Engine options include the BMW M3’s 4.0-litre V8 tuned to 473bhp or a version of the M5’s V10 producing 592bhp. Other marques displaying their latest and greatest wares include legendary British names such as Jaguar, Lotus and Rolls Royce as well as manufacturers from farther a field, like Pagani, Koenigsegg and Spyker. A number of rare and exotic classic cars will also take part in a Concours d’Elegance, such as the multi-million pound Bugatti Type46 pictured. Picking the winners will be a star-studded judging panel including five-time Le Mans 24hr winner Derek Bell, Aston Martin’s director of design Marek Reichman and editor of Octane magazine Robert Coucher. Tickets for the show, which takes place on the 22, 23 and 24 July, are available at www.salonprivelondon.com - prices start from £125 for the day. Source Gallery
