  3. Win Mantis Burn Racing + Elite Class DLC Thanks to the good people at UK-based indie developer VooFoo Studios and the universal cosmic luck in being picked as 1 of 2 winners in their recent twitter contest, we have a Steam code of their awesome top-down racer Mantis Burn Racing and its Elite Class DLC to give away! If you follow us on our crewed account then you will know that we will at times retweet contests and competitions that are currently being run by publishers, developers and hardware makers. More so to give notice of them to our followers than to actually enter ourselves, but then a retweet and follow is usually the way to enter these anyway and so if we do win we’ll hold a giveaway ourselves! How to Win? To be in with a chance of winning all you need to do is tell us ‘I want to feel the Mantis Burn Racing’ in a reply to the topic for this competition on our forum, where every valid entry will be assigned a number, then on Saturday September 30th a random selection from all entries made will take place and a winner will be chosen. (you must be a registered member to post in that topic) About Mantis Burn Racing Now if you know of this game already then I’m impressed and wish you the best should you decide to enter, however if you don’t then fear not as the media and information below should be easy enough to digest and get you interested. The race is on in Mantis Burn Racing, where fast-paced bumper-to-bumper racing combines with intuitive, tactile gameplay and stunning visuals in one of the best-looking and most immersive top-down racers around. With a RPG-style upgrade system providing players with deep tactical choices and excellent replay-ability, this is racing at its rawest but most exciting! Original Soundtrack – Race to an original ambient-electro soundtrack written especially for the game. Regular Updates – Regular content updates during Early Access with add-ons planned post full launch, including free and paid content packs. Reviews and impressions from those playing are majorly positive with a good amount of players reporting that the game is another one of those ‘easy to play, hard to master’ types, and older players chiming in that it reminds them fondly of the retro titles they used to spend time with in their younger days. It should also be noted that many of the gaming media reviews are up to a year old therefore some of their criticisms have been tackled with updates since. Mantis Burn Racing is available now for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
  4. Assetto Corsa – Are You ‘Ready To Race’ The new Assetto Corsa ‘Ready To Race’ car pack is now available to purchase on Steam for the PC. As you might expect with a title like that, this newest ten car DLC has a strong focus on those that have taken part in, and even won, their respective championships. Taking up their grid positions within the list are multiple entries from Audi, McLaren and Toyota, together with single contributions from Lotus and Maserati. The team at Kunos have shown that they know their stuff when it comes to stacking automotive content into these packs and it is clear from what's included that ‘RTR’ is no different. With the stand outs of this pack in my view being the the rally Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo, which sports that unmistakable Castrol livery, and the Maserati MC12 GT1, which in my opinion is a better looking Enzo. However I do expect a large majority of players to gravitate towards the more modern Le Mans racecars and the road-going McLaren 570S. I certainly would say to players though to have a wee go around 'Highlands' in the Lotus 3-Eleven, as if ever there was a car and track made for each other, that would be it. (no need to worry about the rain either!) Assetto Corsa – Ready To Race Car List Audi R8 LMS 2016 Audi R18 e-tron quattro 2014 Audi TT Cup 2016 Audi TT RS VLN Lotus 3-Eleven Maserati MC12 GT1 McLaren 570S McLaren P1 GTR Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo Toyota TS040 Hybrid Console owners of the game will also see ‘RTR’ come to them but with no time specified except for “in the near future”, it’s almost a given that a decent wait will be required. Thankfully this should be made much more tolerable due to the recent release of the v1.14 update that also brought along with it, a nice amount of free bonus content. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" columns="5" size="small-post-image" ids="6967,6968,6969,6970,6971,6972,6973,6974,6975,6976,6977,6978,6979,6980,6981,6982,6983,6984,6985] An accompanying update with this pack’s release brings the PC version of the game up to this version too, with v1.14 for PC deploying a large amount of fixes and advances to further improve the title. 5. Assetto Corsa “Ready To Race” DLC An all-new premium DLC car pack is heading to Assetto Corsa next week and it is very much squarely aimed at the racing enthusiast, with the forthcoming release presenting a package that caters to multiple racing flavours. Coming first to players on the PC through Steam on May 18th, and then (much?) later for those on PS4 and Xbox One, this newest pack provides the “most wanted” ready to race models from Audi, Lotus, McLaren and Toyota. Assetto Corsa - “Ready To Race” Cars Audi R8 LMS 2016 Audi R18 e-tron quattro Audi TT Cup 2016 Audi TT VLN 2013 Lotus Eleven Maserati MC12 GT1 McLaren 570S McLaren P1 GTR Toyota Celica ST185 Turbo Toyota TS040 Hybrid As can be seen from the list above, the term “Race” is being broadly stretched, as with the inclusion of the Lotus 3-Eleven we must be looking at the local trackday kind, whereas the McLaren 570S must mean the manner in which speeding away from the lights in the city is one too. Obviously I am joking here, though the McLaren road car does seem a bit of strange one you have to admit. [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="6920,6928,6926,6924,6919,6921,6922,6927,6923,6925] There will be an update (v1.14) released on the same day and some of what this will address is shown below. Further details about the “next major Steam update” to be revealed over the coming days. Assetto Corsa PC – v1.14 Update Info Added wind algorithm Added AI Aggression selection More AI differences within a single lap to generate more battles Added AI wing setup variations New AI algorithms for understeer detection and downshifting Improved Downshift Protection Updated Steam statistic reader to synchronize steam achievement [via Assetto Corsa Facebook]
  6. Assetto Corsa HALF PRICE! There are MAHOOSIVE SAVINGS on everything Assetto Corsa right now on Steam. Everything including the game and its DLC has had its price slashed by AT LEAST 50%!! Incredibly the 'Porsche Season Pass' gets the best deal of the lot, with a crazy reduction of more than 60%! At these sort of prices, there is little reason for the already owning Assetto Corsa player not to purchase some of the additional content available. Or, for non-owners to take the plunge and find out for themselves why this sim-racer is highly regarded by so many. It should also be worth mentioning that the game is still very well supported and has a good 2017 ahead of it in regards to content to come. Such as the 'Ferrari 70th Anniversary Pack', 'British Pack' and more that still hasn’t been teased or shown to us yet. For those who enjoy their racing sims, this title is one that should already be installed. But if you do not, then here is the perfect opportunity to change that. [via Assetto Corsa on Steam]
  7. Assetto Corsa Hits The Highlands Of Scotland Kunos Simulazioni are well known for their transparency, in that they are consistently keen to share upcoming developments for Assetto Corsa. Over the past month they have been teasing and showing us plenty of the fictional Scottish location coming as a free bonus track. The new location is officially called ‘Highlands’ and is out now for PC on Steam along with a free bonus car, the mind-blowing Audi Quattro S1 E2 Group B! This new track has been created in partnership with nVidia and Sparco with the intention of creating the perfect race track… and in Scotland no less. Yes people, Scotland is perfect, the Italians have said so! It comes in four configurations with layouts comprising of Short, Normal, Long and Drift layouts: The ‘Normal’ version is 8152 meters long and is made up of fast, flowing but narrow roads with several jumps designed to thrill as well as test you. ‘Short’ is a return to some good quality urban style racing. Here players race around the city area and will need to be watch for those sharp angled turns and the barrier covered surroundings as at only 1714 meters, this will be a track that requires some precision driving. Looking for some grueling but fun punishment? Then the 'Long' layout has you covered (in sweat probably!). Only 12,191 meters long and containing all that the Normal configuration has, there are some extra slow curves, a series of speedy left and right turns and the terrifying "Cabhag straight" which runs for a colossal 3km. And for the drift muppets out there, you all get your own specially tailored 'Drift' layout aimed at achieving some serious angle at a ludicrous speed thanks to the combination of some smooth and flat curves allowing for long and constant sliding. Each layout shares the same start position and pit lane, along with the first and final 2 corners. The console community should be seeing arrive on their machines within the next month or so if previous content releases are anything to go by. In saying that, let's not see a time difference similar to that of the 'Red Pack' eh Kunos? 8. Time For Porsche Pack Vol. 3 Well here we are, the third and final Porsche Pack for Assetto Corsa is released today for PC. Bringing the phenomenal Porsche DLC program for the title to its climax. For a while it felt like we were only hearing about Porsche coming to the game at some point from Kunos Simulazioni, and now, here we are – it’s done, it’s finished, and there is a whole load of fine virtual Porsche metal out there for players to enjoy. Containing another set of models that will make many an enthusiast beam a smile, such as the 908 LH and 917 K, and providing those who have more of a penchant for modern metal, the 911 R and Le Mans racing 919 Hybrid 2016. Every player should be able to find something in here that they will like. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 3 Porsche 919 Hybrid 2016 LeMans configuration Porsche 908 Lang Heck (Long Tail) Porsche 917 K Porsche 911 R (991) Porsche 911 GT3 Cup 2017 Porsche 911 GT3 R 2016 Porsche 911 Turbo S (991) Earlier lists included the 911 RSR 2017 with the third pack, but just days before the pack was due for release, it was announced that Kunos were delaying the car so that they could take more time to reproduce it accurately. The Turbo S was brought in to take its slot and now the RSR 2017 will be released as a free upgrade to Volume 3 in January. As has become common for those on console, a nice long wait is on the cards for them, as even though Kunos did mention a “December” release a couple of months ago, that has unfortunately slipped and now more Porsche will not hit until January when Volume 2 is set to release. However it will be joined with the Red Pack when it does, so every cloud eh! [gallery type=rectangular" link="file" size="small-post-image" ids="6365,6366,6367,6368,6369,6370,6371,6372,6373,6374,6375,6376,6377,6378,6379,6380] The Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Vol. 3 is available now for PC on Steam by itself or can be downloaded for free if the Porsche Season Pass is owned. And just like with every pack that has landed, the accompanying update contains another of the free trio of Porsches to be given away at no additional cost. This third and final time it is the turn of the Macan Turbo. Speaking of which, this latest one takes the PC up to version 1.11 where along with the bug fixes and improvements is an all-new Championship gameplay mode. Allowing players to create their own championships with options such as selecting the cars, tracks, laps, points, rules and compete against the AI. 9. Porsche Pack Volume II Another plethora of machinery from the garage of Porsche has become available for Assetto Corsa with the release of Porsche Pack Volume 2 on Steam for PC. Surprisingly there wasn’t much in the way of promotion and teasing on social media, something that has become somewhat customary from the team. Although that is understandable, considering they appeared to be guests of Porsche at a trackday event where they got to check out and sit behind (but not drive) some of the legends that can be found inside these Porsche packs. The second Porsche pack contains some of the best known racing legends from the marque, including my personal favourite of the 962 Group C racecar that won Le Mans back in 1986/87, the Porsche 911 GT1 and the modern day 919 Hybrid of 2015. Assetto Corsa – Porsche Pack Volume 2 Contents Porsche 911 GT3 RS Porsche 718 Spyder RS Porsche Cayman GT4 Porsche 718 Boxster S Manual Transmission Porsche 718 Boxster S PDK Porsche 919 Hybrid 2015 Porsche 911 GT1 Porsche 962c Long Tail Porsche 962c Short Tail Road-going versions are included too, with the lightweight classic 718 RS Spyder and modern day 911 GT3 RS being the picks for most people of what is on offer. Giving credit where it is due, the Cayman GT4 is meant to be a mighty little motor in its own right if the automotive press are anything to go by. Still languishing behind though are the console players on PS4 and Xbox One, who are still waiting for the first Porsche pack to become available. Shouldn't be too long now however as a blog post earlier this month specified that it was coming for them in November. Don't think many (probably being kind here) would have guessed that the PC would have two packs before console got even one though. Assetto Corsa Porsche Pack Volume II is now available on Steam for PC. Don’t forget that you can buy the Porsche Season Pass (also available on console) and enjoy a saving of 28% on buying the three packs individually. 11. Project Pagani CARS In light of the news that Project CARS had sold over 2 million copies comes the surprise announcement that a free edition is available now on Steam: Project CARS - Pagani Edition. This heavily streamlined version of the Slightly Mad Studios developed sim-racer features all five of the Pagani models that can be found in the main game and provides players with three tracks to race them on: the full Nürburgring layout of the 24Hour event (yay!), the Monza Grand Prix circuit and the in-house created paradisical Azure Coast. Out of the five Paganis available in this edition, 3 of them are variations of the Zonda, including the undeniably outrageous track-only Zonda R, with the other 2 being of the current Huayra model, one of which is the more hardcore Huayra BC. With full VR ability on both Oculus Rift and HTC Vive plus – as Panasonic liked to show us often – glorious 4K display support, the PC version has always been a showcase product for many a brand and it is obvious why when a glimpse is made of the game running on quality settings. For those who have held out on buying, this is the perfect opportunity to see what they may have missed and perhaps might even sway them into becoming customers of the full game. And should they decide to do so then they can use the turboduck liveried RUF, designed by Milli, that tduck – and former staff – member Ryzza5 generously allowed us to use as part of the perks he received for the level he funded the project at. Probably would have made sense to offer a nice discount on the game to coincide with the release of this though SMS… no? Source: Slightly Mad Studios
  12. F1 Ferrari V8 The boys and girls behind Assetto Corsa must be in amazing moods as their latest preview of what's next in line for the 'Red Pack' is something real special yet again. As if it wasn't enough to thrill us by announcing that the Ferrari SF15-T 2015 season car was coming to the 'Red Pack'. Now they have gone and unveiled another Scuderia Ferrari that will be making its way in to the DLC that releases on July 14th. And this time it's a V8 from 2013! The last of the Ferrari V8s in fact, before they went to the (strimmer/weed whacker sounding) turbos, driven by Fernando Alonso and Felipe Massa. The trailer to accompany the announcement, simply titled Introducing the Ferrari F138, shows the car doing a flying lap round the Silverstone GP circuit. And even though we knew this one was coming after some clips of it were included in the console announcement trailer from the start of this year, it is still impressive that the team has decided to pack so much ultimate into this one pack. After all, having two authentic F1 Ferrari cars in a simulation racer is like the holy grail for many racing enthusiasts, and from how Kunos is going about in assembling the machinery to be included in this pack, we really cannot wait to see what else is still to come. The Red Pack is shaping up nicely with the confirmed inclusion of the Maserati 250F 6C, Lamborghini Aventador SV, Ferrari SF15-T and now this second F1 Ferrari. Meaning there is three models remaining out of the seven we have been told are due.
  13. Red Bull Ring The Red Bull Ring is next for the detailing stage of the Assetto Corsa 'Red Pack' release-info-about-athon and inevitably the circuit is receiving the full laser scanned treatment in order to deliver an accurate rendition. Founded as the Österreichring, the circuit was host to the Austrian Formula One Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years from 1970-1987. Later it was shortened, rebuilt and was given the new name of A1-Ring, where under this new guise it became host of the Austrian GP from 1997-2003. With F1 outgrowing the track, plans were put in place and work started on extending the layout but construction stopped, the track fell into neglect and remained unusable until its owners Red Bull began a €70m reconstruction in late 2008, ending with and giving us the Red Bull Ring. The track opened again to professional racing with a visit from the DTM in its 2011 season and the championship has revisited every year since. Formula One also made its return, bringing the Austrian Grand Prix back to the F1 racing calendar after a ten-year absence with the Red Bull Ring's inclusion in the 2014 season. It would appear then, that this place has quite a history. The track will feature along with seven car models, some of which have already been confirmed: Maserati 250F, Lamborghini Aventador SV and the Ferrari SF15-T Formula 1. Assetto Corsa is out now on Steam PC and will be released on console on August 26th in Europe and August 30th in North America.
  14. [headline]Access the Accessible Access now![/headline] If you're a console player you probably already know what EA Access is. You get access to a bunch of games for a few quid per month. A sort of Netflix for games. Well, now it's coming to PC as Origin Access. The other benefits of Origin Access are the ability to play upcoming games before release (though you have to purchase after) and a 10% discount on Origin purchases. Personally I think... Origin needs to crash and burn. Don't they know about Steam yet? It's much better in every way and everybody already uses it. But, apart from that, for £4 it's not a bad service but it doesn't have current games. It has the last Sims, the last Need For Speed, the last FIFA, etc. So if you're not concerned about playing the latest of the franchise maybe this is for you?
  15. It's A Winter Wonderland In DiRT Rally! Christmas comes early as DiRT Rally's full release comes to Steam, following the massively successful Early Access release. DiRT Rally has been a massive hit, even in an uncompleted Early Access state. No doubt this is due to it's old-school, Colin McRae Rally like gameplay. Rally fans finally got what they've been wanting for years, pure rallying on the tightest and most challenging roads. Since the April 2015 Early Access release, players have driven over 90 million kilometers (that's about 60 million miles) and raced 3 million clean stages. Now, the full version and official release comes to Steam, with a console release date set for April 5th 2016. In the spirit of the giving season, with the full release Codemasters are also giving players the Winter Wonderland pack. Today's update brings the snow-covered roads of Sweden to the game, with hand-selected stages to give players the best experience. On the winter roads of Sweden, Codemasters' pioneering soft-touch technology is critical here to give the soft snowy banks a realistic feeling of density and accurate effects on the car's physics, allowing you to lean into them and push out of them when you're really pushing hard. As well as the snowy lands of Sweden, two recent additions to the modern-day rallying scene come to DiRT Rally, the Hyundai i20 Rally and Volkswagen Polo Rally. If you haven't yet bought DiRT Rally, here's why you should. DiRT Rally features over 40 of the most exciting rally cars in history, from the Austin Mini to the Subaru Impreza. There are over 70 rally stages, such as tight twisty forests, muddy grip-less Welsh stages, narrow mountain roads, ice-covered roads with death-defying drops in Monte Carlo, and more. Nothing will give you a more thrilling and challenging rally experience. Join us in the forums to let us know if you agree. 16. Assetto Corsa: Brands Hatch One of the more famous racing circuits of the UK, Brands Hatch (Brands), is coming to Assetto Corsa in the fast-approaching Dream Pack 3. Brands, according to Kunos Simulazioni, has taken 6 months to produce from thousands of reference photos and Laserscan data and will be the fourth track to be released this year for the title, following on from Nurburgring, Zandvoort and Barcelona. Ever continuing to bring the goods to its players in the way of popular circuits being added to the ever-growing official track list available to the game. A favourite among motorsport fans, Brands hosts all manner of racing series such as the BTCC, DTM and even the British Superbike Championship and with corners such as Paddock Hill Bend, Druids, Dingle Dell and Clearways, there are plenty of opportunities to pass, but if you're not careful these can also make you look a fool and have you crawling through the gravel traps. More about Dream Pack 3 is due to come in the coming weeks and days, namely the cars and like you, we are hoping for some treats! Dream Pack 3 is due for release on December 15th, 2015 via Steam. 17. I got Razer Game Booster but I can't figure out how to get it to work, I bought TDU 2 off of Steam, and I unpacked the game and am using the unofficial patch with the Universal Launcher but the Game Booster automatically detects the Steam version of the game, what do I do?
  18. Ring the Lotus Another update for Assetto Corsa is due this Friday and on their official Facebook they have posted goodies such as a blurred out pic of the Michael-Schumacher-S (keep fighting Michael!) from the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit and updated their cover to an in-game shot of the Lotus Exos T125, in the past these actions have proven to show what is to come to the title so these latest postings have obviously created much excitement for what may be to come on Friday. We've known that the Nurburgring-Nordschleife is coming later this year via the fan vote but this is the first real indication that the GP circuit would be coming much quicker and it could be dropping on us in the next few days! Even better is it adds to the roster and inventory of the game as it builds its way up to it's final v1.0 release. Accessible F1 The Lotus Exos T125 is essentially an F1 car that those with the ability and cash can purchase, the original intent of the project was to create as close to possible an F1 car, but make it that bit easier to drive and a touch more comfortable due to it's bigger cockpit than your typical F1 car. Powered by a Cosworth 3.8 liter V8 that produces a staggering 640bhp and weighing only 590kg due to a bespoke carbon composite with Nomex and aluminium core chassis with carbon composite panels means a power-to-weight ratio of more than 1000bhp per tonne!! That means this fecker is FAST! The signs are good that these are more than likely coming in the next update so if you want to be in on it then click the link below and get the game now! Those of you already enjoying the title will be able to update the game through the normal means when the update is released. Find out more about the Lotus Exos T125 on the official website. Assetto Corsa: Early Access is available on Steam. Thanks - Assetto Corsa Facebook
  19. Have You Played NGC Yet? Fans are great things. They keep you cool, they add to the immersion of driving a convertible sports car in TDU1, and if you're in the business of making cool stuff they'll even help out with marketing said stuff. Youtube user jaimswallace has done exactly that on behalf of Bugbear Entertainment. Fan-made trailer http://youtu.be/E-rHoxLbKEo Pre-Alpha 2 was released on Steam on February 15, 2014 with a new Figure of 8 track and an extra car, along with some other improvements and fixes, including the free-camera mode used to create the above trailer. First Impressions If you've played any of the previous FlatOut games there is a slight feeling of 'same old' about this title at first glance. However, when you begin playing you realise a lot has been improved in terms of graphics, physics simulation, even the audio is much better than that found in some PS3 exclusive titles that shall remain unnamed. Playing with a Fanatec CSR-Elite wheel and Clubsport v1 pedals, the chosen sedan responds in a predictable and neutral manner. Force feedback responds well, if a little on the light side - I'd like to see bigger FF outputs when plowing into opponents. Clutch and H-shifter support is currently absent, which given the types of featured vehicles is disappointing, and it would be nice to see popular head-tracking API's enabled. All in all, Next Car Game is yet another 2014 racing title that's showing a lot of promise. Be sure to help out the developers (and your console friends) by purchasing this title from Steam; if Bugbear raise enough funds they will get to work on console versions. Next Car Game is currently anticipated to release on PC in Spring 2014. Hopefully with a different name.

  22. McLaren Racer The next update comes to Assetto Corsa tomorrow and Kunos Simulazioni has revealed that the McLaren MP4-12C GT3 will come with it. The scarier brother of the mundane road-going version of the McLaren supercar had been built to FIA GT3 race-specification and competed in the 2011 British GT Championship and other race events such as the Spa 24 Hours. 23. Long story short, the Steam Client is my gaming hub, i have added every single game - or gaming software such as emulators - to it and i'm surprise how the Steam Overlay works with anything... except with TDU2, of course. Is a bit annoying, i love to take screenshots and Steam is my favourite software to do so; sure, i use MSI afterburner but mostly for the sake of monitoring my GPU, i don't like to having to go to a folder and diving inside it only to upload a few pictures to tumblr, not to mention that is easier to access the screenshots directory of a game from the Steam Client And also there's the access to Steam Comunity in game of course, including online chat. Sooooooo... ideas? EDIT: Nevermind, found a solution and IT WORKS!!
  24. So i was taking my usual "bored search" on Steam and decided to search for Atari since i've been thinking on the company lately, and the game has no price nor option to purchase it, just like the Ghostbusters DLC. Could this be the reason for the Free DLC bug? It had an insane sale this christmas just like some Activision games that has been already delisted. The game is still there, in the Atari.com marketplace, but unavaiable in Steam. EDIT: Not avaiable in the Spanish Atari website either.
  25. Hello On the 3rd of December 2013 I bought TDU2 off Steam. After successfully downloading and installing the game, along with updating the UpLauncher to v034 build 16 i pressed play hoping to start the game, unfortunately this did not happen. After pressing play an error occurrs stating that I must start the game via Steam (which I've already done). I have with success inserted the serial codes so ther is not a problem there. After reading about the error on the interenet I found out that deleting a file called UpLauncher.localdb would fix this issue, unfortunately it did not fix anything. The same error occurred. Please write back and give directions for what to do. Is this a bug and will it be fixed in the near future. I am pissed that I spent 20 Euros and that it is not working like it should. Sincerly Sondre Solheim
