Good news everyone! We just got word from Microsoft, and the FREE DLC Exploration Pack for Xbox360 is scheduled to deploy on August 16th @ 0900 GMT. In the meantime, we will continue to do some internal testing and assuming no unforeseen issues then it will go live on Aug 16 . We don't have a date for PS3 just yet but we will let you know as soon as we have it confirmed!

Here is a list of the content included in Xbox360 Exploration Pack:

Features

FREE DLC: Exploration Pack

o 20 new missions including 2 all-new mission types: Extreme Convoy and Timed Convoy.

o 20 new wrecks to find which give you access to 2 new exclusive cars:

o Lancia Stratos version Rallye

o Dodge Charger 1969

o 3 additional Discovery levels.

o 2 new Multiplayer Races for the Stratos

DLC: Help channel added to TDU media.

Motorcycle dealer, Auction hall, and new clothing shops are “under construction” – users can visit location, but they are not yet open for business.

Enhancements

o Players are now able to sell reward cars they have earned in dealerships.

o Roads are now marked as “explored” for areas visited when riding as a passenger

o Rewards increased for multiplayer challenges.

o Car class restriction added to multiplayer ranked challenges.

o Player name display updated in free ride for improved clarity.

Fix

o Instant challenge routes will adjust based on players vehicle types (i.e. dirt roads vs asphalt)

o Adjusted impact sound after certain jumps

o Casino roulette exploits removed

o Casino Level 10 cut scene updated

o Club Challenges updated to allow players to race with the club cars.

o Fixed a map bug that would display online players swimming far into the Mediterranean.

It's just typical corporate speak. I mean people complain when they get the DLC and find something so even though MS has approved it they are going to keep testing it and probably see what the PC players have been saying as issues they experience for the most part will also be in the console version.

BTW search google for "assuming no unforeseen" DLC and notice how other companies say the same thing.

Hahahahahahaha...Pic's or it never Happens!

but really, Diffrent dates for PS3/360? 99% of the time its on the same day, 50% on the same week!

No, that's just Sony taking their time to approve it. I'm half expecting it to be up on the PSN Store shortly after Sony have approved it and not 3 weeks after.

Don't think it'll appere on the PStore, unless its not released as an update and as DLC. Which is how it should be done, and not like on the 360 where you have to go to the XBL to download the update!?!(confused me when I got the game)

Aug 16

I'm on PC, but that's a complete and utter joke. They announce it for console, several months after it's been out for the PC, and then it's still over 2 weeks away?

I very nearly set off the swear filter writing this post. Atari just really p me off with their ignorant cavalier attitude towards their customers.

Modding still has to start. The first steps have been taken a few months ago, I think it's save to say the first user-created cars will show up before christmas.

That's pretty optimistic. Apart from .bnk unpacker, nobody actually made any progress in months. It's not like they've tried and failed, it was more like nobody wanted to be bothered with such a bad game. Don't get me wrong, I would really love that we all get modding tools as soon as possible, but IMO, we are still very far away. Right now, it's highly doubtful we are ever going to make custom cars and other goodies, lol.

agreed with illusion, also there's another big issue with modding tdu2 , first we need some proper physics I think everybody would agree on that, but to do that you'd have to edit physics files . And that means when you start up the game it will fail because it checks the files every single time. So it won't allow any modification in online mode.
