At least noone can reproach me to simply copy and paste this BMS Script into a.net app ...

just kidding :D

More seriously, I'm aware of this texture convert issue and that will be a major fix for next beta. For the moment I don't understand what's going on there :)

I think conversion tool from TDUMT 1.16 is fine. It would be cool if we could convert more than one file at the same time.

@Knyazev and others with similar issues Check whether your unpacked 2db file is in directory without special characters in it. copy 2db file into c:\ and chech if conversion works. My windows username is with ł letter coded in windows-1250 and that causes the troubles with converter.

For me this is working :). Copy desired 2db file into c:. without any folders. I copied your directories with structure into c: - I had exactly the same error. After copying only file to c: - conversion without errors.

second, faster option is to change folder name from corvette_zr1.bnk_QuickBMS (check that conversion does not work if you have even unpacked it with qmbs script :cheeky:) to corvettezr1. That should give you same good effect.

Summary - something wrong with path reading in TDUMT 1.16.

I think about writing a small app using the dll's of TDUMT v1.14 (of course with the consent of the author) :)

Mini 2DB to DDS Converter, with advanced features:

- Converting single *.2db file to DDS

- Converting multiple *.2db files to DDS

- Converting all *.2DB files in selected folder to DDS

+ current functions, which in TDUMT 1.14+

IIt is unlikely that I will be do it.

Converting one file per one action, it is not very convenient, or am I wrong?

Or:

In TDUMT II add a module: "2DB to DDS Converter" with features, which I wrote above + possible your ideas :)

It's nice idea)

For example, I want to convert 40 *.2db files... I need a feature with converting multiple *.2db files to DDS. (This feature is missing now in TDUMT 1.1+)

in TDUMT II this feature very needed!

Oh, sorry, two new features:

- Converting multiple *.2db files to DDS

- Converting all *.2DB files in selected folder to DDS

:D

I look, I'm here - one guy from Russia :D

:D

Xarlith

You right. It's real bug with long path. Thanks :)

Wow what a bunch of information here !

Given that I just have a little time left for coding, I'll work on BNK first.

So Knyazev, feel free to use TDUMT1 libs, but I 'd prefer fix eventual issue on TDUMT 1.16, so that you can use this one (would be 1.16.1)

Just credit me for these libs that's ok.

You can start working with 1.14 libs though, api has not changed a lot between those 2 :)

Current dev team would be :

BNK : I'm your guy :D

2DB : Knyazev

XMB : TBU2

3D* & 2DM support : Oleg via ZModeler

Thanks !

The sound is Unlimited size too !!!

in other hand im gonna need that xmb editor too because tdu2 has some kind off reverbs and decays that are ruining the sounds so badly that even with High defenition samples they seem rubish!!! somewhere edited in every car bnk (carsvt.xmb)

Its like they want to give a robotic sense to cars ! so monotonous.....they end up being all the same !

Lets hope that the XMB editor let turn off or mod the effects they add to Tdu2car sounds

Thx djey so far so good
