ps4 PS4 2.0 Update Released

The main features in this update include:

• Upload clips direct to Youtube rather than just Facebook
  
• Shareplay - let a friend play your game for upto 60 minutes or play the game with you. They don't need to own the game themselves
  
• USB music playback
  
• Playstation themes
  
• Various broadcasting improvements
  

 

The update takes roughly about 5 minutes to download and install. The menus also feel a lot more fluid than before even when a game/app is running in the background.

Straight to youtube is a nice addition. That Share Play feature is going to be cool as hell to listen what people think of it.

Good stuff, this seems more like the PS4 they showed off at E3 2013. Lack of games, wheel support, and me just not liking the DS4 gamepad are the main things in the way at the moment, but overall I'm still liking the PS4 as a gaming system over the Xbox (which I may eventually get as a HTPC system).

The Playstation menus are so much faster when in game now. It opens instantly and now takes you straight to the message/invite/notification rather than the main menu.

 

It also looks so much nicer in red compared to the PS blue for the theme.
