  1. 128. The Mercedes-Benz CLK63 AMG Black Series (I actually requested this car on TDUCk as a mod for TDU1 way back :bgroove:)

    129. Blasting down a mountain road on Oahu in the Ferrari 430 Scuderia Spider 16M on a sunny day. One of my best gaming experiences ever, unbelievably good fun!

    130. Cruising in the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren Roadster 722S. Epic cruise car, with plenty of punch to overtake any slow traffic cars in the way :p

    131. Overtaking Ferrari Californias at the Ibiza racetrack in my Audi Q7 V12 TDI :D

  2. For the Bimmers they could arrange some Alpinas.

I doubt that. You see, RUF is recognized, by government regulations, as a separate car brand from Porsche, as the only thing they really take from Porsche is the chassis and some of the bodywork, and they have no official ties with Porsche.

As for Alpina, they have extremely close ties with BMW. Their cars are sold, through BMW dealerships, as "BMW Alpina" models, with a lot of the assembly occurring right on BMW's production lines. Unlike RUF, a lot of the parts are BMW-sourced too, including major drivetrain components, most of the bodywork, the interior, and the chassis. Because of these ties, Alpina models have to be approved by BMW before being put on the market. Most importantly however, the cars still feature BMW badges, the rights to which belong to BMW of course. Strictly speaking, it could be done with a couple of workarounds, but I don't see BMW liking the decision too much, and Alpina certainly wouldn't want to hurt their relations with them.

It's not that I don't want BMWs in the game, I'd love to see them, as well as Porsches and Lamborghinis. But I'm almost certain it won't happen, not in TDU2 at least. However, perhaps EA's exclusive license will expire by the time the game's successor comes around (If there is one in the works).

  3. Thanks for the welcome everyone! :D

;407886']You do competitive karting? Pretty cool. :) What's your blog?

    Welcome back! :hi:

The blog's called The Blog of Cars (Yes, a rather unimaginative name :p). Small little news blog which I run with a couple of other people, but I haven't been able to update it in the last couple of days. Hoping to get some work done on it either today or tomorrow though.

  4. Hello TDU Central! Evel here, after an absence of... eh... has it really been over a year now? Good grief!

I first joined this forum many moons ago, to download mods for TDU1, share pictures, and stuff like that. But then I got busy with a vast variety of other things: running my own little car blog, karting, school, etc.

Then I heard about TDU2, and being a huge fan of the first game, I had to have a look. But again, being rather busy, it wasn't until a couple months until after the game came out that I actually managed to obtain it. In fact, I got it about two or three weeks ago. And despite its flaws, I love it. So I figured I may as well return to good old TDU Central.

Looks like things have changed too. The new layout's lovely, and Diablo appears to have transformed into a spade :p Hopefully I'll be able to do some cruising and what not with you guys! :)

  5. I forgot to thank you Evel;)

    No problem.

Is that the same version 2 from Speedyshare or is it the latest improved version? I already downloaded the link from shark971 & it worked. It was also last interior & gauges. I don't want to download the same file again if I don't need it.

It was the version I found on page 3 of the thread, I believe it's the latest version.

  6. ^ Isn't that a Vantage?

That's what I was thinking too

Hmm I think he's right on the DB9. Upon close inspection, I believe the side window extends too far for it to be a V8 Vantage.

Nah It's a V8 Vantage, you can tell by both the wheel and the rear lights.

^ Oh its OK, indeed fail, but they don't get many Astons in those third world countries...

If you would all read more carefully, you would notice that he said "to the left":

Not sure, maybe I'll upload another one, I have 3 I think...

    Die.

British Car Day '07, so you were probably there my fellow igloo dweller ;)

Here's another in the DB6 to clear things up:

I also got inside the DB9 to the left, but you can't see it, and I don't have a pic

He also mentioned that you can't see it. So there's probably a DB9 to the left, just not in the picture.

And Canada isn't a third world country

Anyways, I might have been there, because I remember going to something similar, but I can't remember the name.

  7. I had serious computer problems a few days ago, and I had to reinstall my system, which meant losing TDU and all my pictures. Luckily the reinstall was quick, I installed TDU and I have all my pictures on Photobucket :D Anyways, here's one photo I took after the system reinstall.

I entered one of my old pictures in the PotW, but I'll be trying to get some better shots in the next few days.
