  1. Alright, you got me. And I'm not going to try to lie, I'm not going to be an arse and say that I did make them and start up some huge arguement. I know I attempted to take Saladline1's audio and claim it as my own, sampled audio. And I'm not going to make some excuse up either. I just did it, and I feel like crap now.

I tried sampling about 30 videos. I can't do it at all. Every single time I try sampling, it just screws up and it sounds horrible.

When I realized what I had done, and when it came clean, I felt like leaving Test Drive Unlimited forever. After I saw what I accomplished, I unplugged my Driving Force GT, Wound it up and put it away... then slept. for six hours.

I tried playing other games, but they just aren't as fun as Test Drive! I can't get off of the game.

So I have decided to create a sincere apology to the entire forum of Test Drive Unlimited: Central.

I am sorry for upsetting you, stealing your work (Saladline1) and disturbing the peace of this forum, and I do deeply hope you all can forgive me. I promise that I will never steal or claim any work as my own.

Thank you for your time. I will still be here on the forums of course, I just need to learn some better audio skills. I would love to make my own car sound :)

    Thank you,

    Mackenzie :sulk:

(QuickEdit: I wish I could find the lock button, but I'm lost on the page. :P)

  2. I respect your work, but I have a few objections.

    1. Next time please ask for permission.

    2. No, it doesn't sound like a proper Gallardo because NFS Shift's samples aren't real enough so I have new samples for V2.0, that would sound proper.

    3. I think you are meaning Gearbox whine, not Turbocharger whine. :P

I wish you good luck with your future mods.

    Cheers.

    1. I tried to ask permission, I attempted to PM you multiple times but the forum did not allow me to send a PM to anyone (I got a 404 error... Sorry :C)

    2. The only AudioReal sound is actually only the startup and idle, because I recorded them from YouTube and MosPort circuit (I live right by it :D)

    3. I guess, yeah :P

I am deeply sorry for not asking permission, and I do hope you can forgive me. :sulk:

  4. I think I'm officially going to state that I will not be making full sound sets, sadly. I've tried and tried and I can't seem to replicate that thunder that these cars have. Although, I have managed to make incredible startups.

I will be, somehow, releasing custom startups with sound sets belonging to others, or defaults.

  5. NOTICE: CURRENTLY, THESE ARE ALL STARTUP SOUNDS. IDLE, REVVING AND SHIFT SOUNDS ALL BELONG TO THEIR ORIGINAL OWNERS.

I've created a new setup for startup sounds, a series called "AudioReal Startups". I will be releasing as many as possible for most of the cars in TDU. The default starters are, well... they sound like they have socks jammed in the exhaust.

Enjoy, more to be released soon.

  6. Uh.

Small issue with mine. I bought the megapack (YAAAAAAY!) and I was exploring the new cars including the Ferrari 360, the new TVR and the Dino.

I then found out why my game was crashing, I forgot to install the new BNK1.map. So I did.

Now I'm missing the new TVR, I bought the 360 but it's name is "_TEST DRIVE UNLIMITED", and the Dino, as well as multiple other cars are MISSING!

Is there a fix for this? :(

  7. Normally I would post this is the Requests section, but for some odd reason my account is not validated and I can't create a new thread.

An interesting project for you to work on is some Caterham variations. For example, the R500 or Academy, and maybe even the Levante. I know some sources for models but I'm not exactly sure if you'll be able to convert them.

This would be so awesome. Keep up the good work, Tool!

  8. Allo everyone, I'm from Blockland, just got TDU a month ago and I'm completely in love with it.

I have a Driving Force GT wheel (Basically the Driving Force Pro designed for Gran Turismo 5: Prologue) that I had bought earlyer for my PS3, I set it up and it works great.

Thing is, I'm looking for the absolute most real-life like settings for the wheel, so I can get decent practice before I start training with a real car to get my liscence.

Here is my setup, my dad helped me pinpoint it but complained about lack of centering, so I tuned the centering a little to make it nice and smooth like a real car.

Also, if you're wondering why Force Feedback is completely disabled, both my dad and I thought it was pointless as a real car's steering wheel doesn't rumble and rip out of your hands when you make a sharp turn.

So just asking from the pros here (And someone who has also actually experienced Real driving) is this a good setup? Does anyone have any suggestions?
