Hey, I was out of town for a few days and just by chance my server decided to act up while I was gone.
Its back to normal now.
I can guarantee you there is no virus, but do you trust me?
Are you kiding me? You should be put on the hall of fame or something man.:lol: Do you know if there is something like this for the first TDU or if it can be done?
-
I voted Good. Altough I would have prefered a more sim-ish handling model, this title never pretended to be that way, so I guess this is the handling model they were aiming for.
I use the G25 and the game set as sim as posible.
-
Is there anything like this mod for the first TDU to?
-
Awesome! It works. Much apreciated.

I like the Veyron. Just like I liked the S7 in TDU. Their not noob cars if a noob isn't driving them.
I know but Veyron hatred it's a fashion right now, lol
-
The Veyron ever since it's launch. The most tamed supercar in real life to. Not that I own one :lol:
-
That's a bit of a silly reason, considering that it's a minor factor in the game compared to the overall epicness of TDU.
Like I said, In a car game of this era it's a major factor for me. But if the mooding gets started and there will be some sound tweaks I will buy it for sure. Actually it's kind of ironic, I play the game regularly from a friend that bought it and at the same time I don't wanna buy it yet and just keep complaning about the sound, couse honnestly thats the only thing that bothers me about the game.
-
Then you either haven't played the good ones or have no clue what real car sounds are like.
TDU2 is good game, but I'm very disappointed with the sounds and really brings down the experience. The gear changes are just terrible, car sounds are far from realistic and when slightly touching the break, there's this overhwelming sound of blocking tires.
This is what an RS6 Avant should sound like:

This is how it sounds in TDU2 (play at 0:30 and 1:30 especially)
This is what a Ferarri California sounds like:
This is how it sounds in TDU2:
This is what a Ferrari Scuderia sounds like in TDU2:
And this is how this beast really sounds:
Precisely my point. The Audi isn't that much off but the Ferrari sounds in this game make me wanna puke, I mean seriousely, I would slap that boss women that aprooved that 430 Scuderia sound just for that one car. That one should have been a pleasure to drive in this title but no, this is complete fail. I didn't buy this game precisely couse of the Ferrari sounds.:cheeky: A car game that has awfull engine sounds has no point to me in the current game era.
-
Now I don't know if it's the game or a problem only for me, but when I start from a full stop and lift the clutch starting to add gas the engine sounds disapear for about 1-2 seconds. Any suggestions to fix it?

temporary solution for the cockpit camera moving around is to switch to bonnet view and move the camera inside the car for a cockpit view, takes a bit of time but it will stop the camera from moving
I am working on an update to solve issues with WinXP and adding ability to save custom cameras. Also new version will automatically ask for administrator rights (UAC dialog will pop)
Its taking a bit longer than usual because I started this project from scratch. Also I'm using managed C++ which seems to have more issues than C# :o
Yeah, I'm using xp to so can't wait. Really apreciate your work, thanx.

I CAN SEE!!! woo hoo! lol - many thx for this RS (latest patch)
I don't get how it can work for some and doesn't for others. Is there anything extra you did that it works for you? Can you give some detailes like operating system and stuff?
-
I never read game reviews(or any reviews for that matter) I plan on being the only one that decides if I like something or not, not somebody else.
Good ponit there, I know reviewers like the ones for the Level magazine are proffesionals but in the end it's just a matter of personal taste, just that reviewers point of view on the game. So lets say he is a hardcore simracer, then ofcourse he will be disapointed with any game that is not at least a compromise (sim-ish), altough he is aweare that it was not aiming to be a sim. And this hidden disapointment is showing more or less in the review one is making. So I agree with what you say, best way is to see for your self. No one can tell you what is for you and what isn't.
-
Doesn't work for me. Here are some details maybe someone can explane
Windows XP SP3 fully updated, drivers aswell, PC DVD, Game version 1.0.1.2, offline, checked the key mappings for conflicts, no antivirus runing. There are no simptoms, I just press the keys but nothing happens
-
Voted for both, they are equally well done and I love them both
-
I agree that the Zonda's sound nice. There is no doubt that there are some good sound samples in TDU2 but when I examine the engine sounds of a racing game I look deeper, like rpm wooble when shifting, the smoothness of the rpm transitions, downshift pleasure, echo/reverb effects, exhaust effets and so on.
So like I said, by this categories Pro Street sounds are way superior still, unfortunately I would say couse I love TDU. But I guess modders will start having fun with sounds soon, eaven so the sound realism is dependent on the engine of the game so it will defenetely be better but modding can't do it all.
You made me curious about the 308GTS :P
-
Yeah, now we'r talkin'. Now all I need to declare myself satisfyed is a nice sound for some cars :)
-
No BMW, no Porsche, no Lamorghini. Man these producers are geting unfotunate.
-
yes there is a real sounding car and that is the R8 Spyder. It sounds like the real car except it didn't have downshift sounds.
Yes but that's not an exceptionaly nice sounding car in real life either. Kind of dull.:p
-
Except for the offroad feature and suv's I like everything you mentioned. The thing with offroad racing and suv's it's down to personal preference in my case not necesairly couse it's not well done, I am not that atracted to any kind of offroad racing that is not rally, and like I allready said I hate suvs (now I'l stop saing it before some nazi asasinates me he he :P).
-
There is no good/real sounding car in TDU2 unfortunately :(
That's the most important reason why I am disapointed with this game.
I was hoping for sounds like Pro Street had but without the exagerated turbo sound effects. I still think that game naild the stock car sounds the best from all street car racing games.
I am quite in love with engine sounds and ofcourse the scuderia would be a really enjoyable experience. On a personal note, nothing equals ferrari engine sounds. Secondly I love clasic american muscle cars.

The diference is just like in your pics. I don't get it, is there an option like this for this car?
-
I hate SUV's. Burn'em all
-
I gave it 5. With mods it could go up to an 8. The game is a bit of a disapointment for me, mainly couse I was expecting something else. To keep it short here are my personal toughts:
Pathetic - Poor - Acceptable - Good - Great - Perfect (This is my scale for all games)
Graphics = Great
Sound = Pathetic
Phisics = Acceptable
900 degree steering = Great (Altough it took me some time to set it up properly)
Force feedback = Pathetic (No force at all for me, doesn't work)
Story = Good
Learning curve = Great
Inside driving view = Acceptable (Due to the lack of custom positioning)
Interior models = Great
Exterior models = Great
Anyway I guess that's enough for now. I use the G25 with 900 degrees of rotation, H gearbox with clutch. Overall not a bad game but not what I was expecting and looking for, honestly I prefer the first one anytime.
