Shutter rating- Ok, the shutter moving up and down is a physical movement, hence the very macho shutter chk-chk (Yay! Chk-chk girl FTW). Anyway as you know nothing in the world lasts forever, so due to mechanical wear and tear the shutter might not work after that many shots. But don't worry, I've never seen someone hit that amount before because by then you'd probably have bought a new one as it takes ages to shoot to 100,000. So don't worry too much about it. Only thing, those who set the shutter to bursts, and just hold the shutter down, you might have to look out for that. Burst mode increases shutter count very rapidly.
