Yeah... but let's hope it can be pulled off too.... and not end up like other anticipated games that sucked!!!!!! Such as..... The Sims 3

Hi,

I got the message to update (dowload the patch) to play online right, so I did, I downloaded & extarteded the patch.

But when I go to go online i get the same message saying I need to patch it, but I just did.

I got the 1.66 patch but it, after patching it says I only have the 1.44 version.

I try to redo the patch but it says it's already up to date so it doesn't need to redo the installation of the patch?

What's going on? Why doesn't it work, even after patching...

While there are only 6 basic avatars, each one has a huge ranger of adjustment from skin tone and hair colour to mouth size.

Cool, didn't know that but do you reckon more avatars/ even a creator to make ur own/yourself?

Well in that case, that's want I want fixed. The interior view, so the wheel goes the complete 900* to match the front wheels instead of the 200*.

Maybe it can have a configure so peeps with a keyboard can set the wheel to 200* while peeps with a wheel/pedels, can set it to the 900* support (if u have the G25 that is... :) )

But, in that case... fix the interior wheel :D

Sorry... but I disagree, we don't need it to be made up, stick with what we have or maybe create a "world". So you guys know the game Fueltm?

Well, the game has over 1,000sq miles of roads, farms, city's, moutains, forests.... this is what we need in TDU!!!!

Also, I hope the graphics engine give's it more of a "real" effect.

Also I hope it fixes the skid marks, the harder you brake or the more wheel spin the darker the skid mark, so a little lock up would make a light skid mark where as steeding off the start line wheel spin would be fully black on the tarmac! :cheeky:

I think it'd add to the realism, yeah. Bit like GTA IV's engine.

 

The only thing is though - I'd be driving round in a black/green Lamborghini, when it should be orange lol. I'm not for washing it, unless it's Atari/Eden activate the carwashes.

I know in TDU we could make our own radio stations with mp3s and such, but do you think it would be a good idea if we could also use .m3u files that you listen to online radio stations with? For example I could be driving along in my Audi TT listening to radio one or something and then get in my Jaguar and switch over to classic fm or something :lol:

Maybe we could make our own. Like make like an hour or so of "radio" and then save it.

Or we could just have a pod cast of a radio station running and minimize it and open TDU and have the radio in the back ground? That works!

I'm really starting to grow on the idea!

But if we have passangers, we will need more avatars, instead of the 6 that came with TDU, 3 guys, 3 girls.

We would need maybe 20 different, or maybe a custom avatar creator so we can have ourselves in the game? :nanananana:

I was suprised the TDU didn't support 900 Degree rotation, however I hope they do have this in TDU II.

Have a look at LFS (live for speed) supports 900* and it's amazing!!!! Would make TDU more fun too!

Not to steal the mood from Tim's post but I'd like to add to it.

Some things I like & agree with is the mobile phone, save your friends as contacts & if there no line phone them. It could be like a messanger thing. a phone screen will appear saying "TimBud" is online.... option, contact.

So u select contact & send him a SMS basically. "Hey I'm at the lighthouse. Damn TT ran out of fuel again! must have a leak (nice idea too). Can u pick me up?

5 minutes later

"Hey Devil, lol again, u really need to sell that car! Sure I'm about 10minutes out, 5 if I punch it =D!!!"

About 5 minutes later I hear Tim roaring closer. oh, he's in a F430.... nice

Hmm... I really need to sell the TT and get a new car. Can u take me to the Trading centre (Where Auctions take place to buy cars off the Trade).

Goto start

Goto Run (Or press Windows + R)

type "C:\Program Data\TestDriveUnlimited\

 

That's where the files are kept. (note that it probably won't show up in your windows explorer library. This is because the %ProgramData% folder is a hidden folder, so make sure you're deleting the right things.)

That's the problem.

I have 3 hardrives.

The file it would be under is: E:\Games\TestDriveUnlimited, so is that where is would be?

ok, so do I need the hidden files on or what? So which folder/s and items do I need to delete? plz be really specific cause I'm not too good a finding stuff if I don't know what it is I should be deleteing :o

i had this problem you have to go to the folder where your cd key is stored open cd key up

 

the last 3 digits repalce them with xxx then start game up then re enter cd key

 

if you installed megapack ilegal version

 

go to the same folder tht your cd key was in and they should be a file called addon iirc tht holds the cracked key for the megapack

 

delete that

 

start game

 

it worked for me

So after you replace the last 3 digits replace them with xxx, when u opne the game does it ask you for you key?

NE way, couldu plz do a step by step for me, with pictures too cus I can't find tha tforlder yoru talking about. Do I need view hidden folders too?

Would this folder still be there cause I've deleted the folder several time & also uninstalled it, but on installation I DON'T get asked to enter my key.... why?! Isn't it uninstalling correct? :cry:

There are also hidden files in %appdata%

 

Same location as to where the "Radial.cdb" file is kept. There you have two other files, CDKEY.txt, and ADDON.txt (CDKEY being the actual TDU key, ADDON being the megapack key) delete everything in the folder and try another reinstall.

Hey,

I've been trying to uninstall TDU then reinstall it (to remove the megapack & to go online) but it seems to freeze when uninstalling, then when it does finally remove it, I think it doesn't fully remove it.

Cus when I "reinstall" it doesn't ask me for my key that came with TDU, however it say's it's been a successful installation however when I try to go online it won't let me! :crying:

How can I fix this, if I KNEW using me friends copy offline would screw my game up I woun't have used it to try b4 I buy :(

So who can help me? I want to go online, and I'm trying to fix this but it isn't uninstalling correctly & installing correctly... HELP :nuts:

No, you didn't read his post. You can't use your friend's megapack. End of story. If you want to use the megapack (online or offline) you need to buy your own copy.

Um... no look, I don't have the internet at home, my parents were so I could go online but now that it won't work I'll just do it off line, which I have been an it runs fine, both for me and him :D

got a problem with that? I haven't done ANYTHING wrong, my friend bough a copy, I borrowed it, end of story! He does go online, I DON'T ok?! :oook:

I didn't go online with the megapack, and my friend can go online with his megapack, but how come I can't?

I patched it again and still, it tells me unable to connect to server? was I banned? How, I didn't even go online with the megapack, only off line :eek2:

No you can't use your friends copy, you cannot use more than 1 Multiplayer Key at the same time. Plus the MegaPack ties itself to your actual TDU install and verifies itself server side when started. If you try to do this with your friends copy you will end up having your own and his versions banned from going online.

 

So basically if you want to have a MegaPack too, you will need to purchase it.

No, didn't u read my post. I said I don't go online so I can use it cause I don't use it for online racing, I only play single player so! :cheeky:

right? If I don't us it for online I can us it cause I don't have internet at home either :D
