Behind the tub sits a twin-turbo 3.8-liter V8 engine producing around 600 horsepower and 433 lb-ft of torque
Oooo, I'm beginning to like it more already:drool:

Ever so slightly disappointing this (althought the rear end seems better looking with the the louvres' instead of the pre proddy lights) I can't put my finger on it, it just doesn't seem special enough. Maybe we were spoilt with the F1, which is a hard act to follow and I've never viewed SLR's as true McLarens anyway
The looks will probably grow on me I suppose.
This is the middle range model - £150k-ish I think - there are plans for a £60-80k model and a £300+k one, hopefully that should be a bit more special. The MP4 name is a bit contrived too.
Saying all that it's probably epic and I hope McLaren do really well with these projects.
Nice one for the exclusive pics:thumbsup:

Looks more like James William Bottomtooth III

I'd choose the RS but I'm a huge RS fan anyway

proper?! PROPER?! Like 90% of the whole world drives on the right side, how is driving on the left side proper? Road patriotism FTL!
Thread title and last line of my post are just a bit of fun. 66% population drive on right, 34% on the left. (India helps that figure a lot)
I see a problem there. First of all, all the cars have their steering wheel on the left. It is confusing driving with left steering on the right side, isn't it? Second of all, all the buses have their doors on the left side, now imagine that all the buses have to be either replaced with a right-side ones or will have to get majorly repaired, so the driver sits on the right and passengers can get in from the left. I heard on the news yesterday that in Samoa there are two days off for everyone, to prevent accidents, caused by the change...well, what's the point in that, people will still need some months to get used to it...:wtf:^^
Agreed
It was a decision for the long term economy of Samoa - cheaper RHD cars are available from surrounding areas rather than expensive LHD imports. Samoa will benefit in the end but I suspect it will be a bumpy ride for Samoan drivers for a while.

Samoa switches to driving on the left

Now we just have to wait for the rest of the heathen countries of the world to start driving on the proper side too;) :run:

GT-R R35 - epic standard performance, good price, technically brilliant, ugly, fragile, too tech-ey, not a Skyline.
Skyline GT-R R34 - motoring icon/legend, infinately tune-able, more involving, good balance of tech and driver control, handsome, bulletproof, it's a Skyline! last of the breed.
R34 all the way for me.

After a little tidy:
Lol, I wonder what it was like before the tidy!
* edit* - D'oh!

Named after the bike I racked up most miles on. A Honda VTR 1000F Firestorm.
Done over 30K miiles in 2 years back around Y2K when I had to commute from Liverpool to Warthog Games in Cheadle.
998 was engine size in cc's.

Yeah. A lot of Capri fans say the new one should be based on a Mustang but the Capri was always considered as the 'European' 'stang i.e. smaller and more suited to our roads.
You are right. If the Capri is ever made it will be probably based on a Focus with FWD and small capacity (up to 2 litre) engines. More's the pity :sulk::-x:mad::cry:

I hate the Ford Capri
I love Marmite ;)
These are more like the direction I think Ford should be going:

414: Cars only smoke when starting up.
415: The police have ultra-rare invisible cars (PC bug)
416: No-one is murdered in Hawaii, despite many top models, hitch-hikers and NPC drivers thoroughly deserving it.
417: You can earn a billion by shrewd trading.
418: Picking up hitch-hikers is a slightly homo-erotic affair :)

My bad.:o
Still these pics are disappointing.

At least the new Mustang and GT40 resemble their forebearers.

Disappointed really, no large capacity engines will be available plus it looks like a pumped up fiesta coupe.

Funny car pricing in Europe

If we're talking about paying our own money, it has to be the Superb. In the UK new, this Skoda is less than half the price of a 'vette & has the steering wheel on the right. The 'vette simply too wide & doesn't work on our roads. Quality sucks too.
Phew! At least I now know I'm not having a mid-life crisis.
