  1. If we're talking about paying our own money, it has to be the Superb. In the UK new, this Skoda is less than half the price of a 'vette & has the steering wheel on the right. The 'vette simply too wide & doesn't work on our roads. Quality sucks too.

Phew! At least I now know I'm not having a mid-life crisis.

  2. Ever so slightly disappointing this (althought the rear end seems better looking with the the louvres' instead of the pre proddy lights) I can't put my finger on it, it just doesn't seem special enough. Maybe we were spoilt with the F1, which is a hard act to follow and I've never viewed SLR's as true McLarens anyway

The looks will probably grow on me I suppose.

This is the middle range model - £150k-ish I think - there are plans for a £60-80k model and a £300+k one, hopefully that should be a bit more special. The MP4 name is a bit contrived too.

Saying all that it's probably epic and I hope McLaren do really well with these projects.

Nice one for the exclusive pics:thumbsup:

  3. proper?! PROPER?! Like 90% of the whole world drives on the right side, how is driving on the left side proper? Road patriotism FTL!

Thread title and last line of my post are just a bit of fun. 66% population drive on right, 34% on the left. (India helps that figure a lot)

I see a problem there. First of all, all the cars have their steering wheel on the left. It is confusing driving with left steering on the right side, isn't it? Second of all, all the buses have their doors on the left side, now imagine that all the buses have to be either replaced with a right-side ones or will have to get majorly repaired, so the driver sits on the right and passengers can get in from the left. I heard on the news yesterday that in Samoa there are two days off for everyone, to prevent accidents, caused by the change...well, what's the point in that, people will still need some months to get used to it...:wtf:

    ^^

    Agreed

It was a decision for the long term economy of Samoa - cheaper RHD cars are available from surrounding areas rather than expensive LHD imports. Samoa will benefit in the end but I suspect it will be a bumpy ride for Samoan drivers for a while.

  4. Nice Gixxer!

I'm a bike rider trapped in a car drivers body since some drunk spaz knocked me off my SP1 and smashed me up good style:mad:

    I HATE drunk drivers!

Soz about quality of pics, My digicam is broke so I had to us my old P990i :)

  6. Yeah. A lot of Capri fans say the new one should be based on a Mustang but the Capri was always considered as the 'European' 'stang i.e. smaller and more suited to our roads.

You are right. If the Capri is ever made it will be probably based on a Focus with FWD and small capacity (up to 2 litre) engines. More's the pity :sulk::-x:mad::cry:

  7. Looks identical to the Fiesta coupe

    edit; ahh that'll be why!

    My bad.:o

    Still these pics are disappointing.

At least the new Mustang and GT40 resemble their forebearers.
