  1. Please can you remove the original copies of the files from the download please. You aren't allowed to upload original game files and post them here.

  2. This little modification makes the wind speed to zero, the trees, bushes, electronic wires and anything else that reacts to wind will stay calm, no movement at all, the CPU don't have to calculate their spot all the time, saving some FPS for not so powerful computers. To make the procedure complete, remove the "Papers.bnk" and "Birds.bnk" files from the "...\Euro\Bnk\Details" folder, so no birds and litters/leafs will flying on the streets. The game won't crash without these files, so you can cut and backup or delete them at all.

     

    Copypaste Weather_HDRI into "...\Euro\Bnk\FX" overwrite the existing and you're done.

    Remember to backup your original file.

    (One bug, if it's only at me than watch this pointless, so when you choose the color at the car dealer the camera looks on the building's top, like i would wanna see the lightbulb above my head through the sunroof. So I can't see the color at the moment of choosing it, just after. I used the simple sport version istaller, nothing else, have the 1.67 on my game, it may has affect on it, the original Chevrolet dealer is with the Saturn, 1.67 separates them, maybe this affects it. Not a big deal btw, I was just thinking about it to let you know.)

  4. Why would wind effect HDR in any way? :confused:

     

    TDU uses these 2 files to change between HDR and normal graphic options, these files includes the "how's the sun reflects from your car" options too, like the wind speed and so on.

    But if you download the file from this thread and change it with the original one, you can see it has effect only on nonHDR mode. Just try it, turn on HDR and wind will blow, wires and trees will move and so on.

  5. Well you can find two files at \Euro\Bnk\FX named "Weather" and "Weather_HDRI" depends on you using HDR or not, open it with a text editor, and you can see tons of gadgets. These files includes like a hundred of blocks for each weather type in TDU, for different sun standings and so on. You can see a line for example "WINDSPEED = 9.27067" in every block.

     

    AND NOW, BEFORE YOU BLAME ME!! It's just a tip, I don't need stronger winds I never tried this and I don't want too, but I guess MAKE A SAFE COPY of the HDR or ninHDR version you're going to edit, then make some try with writing higher values for it.

  6. You can remove the "birds.bnk" and "papers.bnk" (or whatever they are, I don't remember I deleted them also) to increase your fps. So your CPU won't have to calculate these objects. Game won't crash for this. (but make copy of them if anything goes bad, I won't take responsibility, you know...) Only the "RoadPatch.bnk" have to stay there.
