  1. I'm aware of the fact that you have to drive to the missions locations and find it before you can see it on the map. Yet, even when helped by the super-detailed hi-res map I found, showing in clear details the location of every mission (amongst other things) , well... that's where the real confusion starts.

I had the same problems. The missions are often on side street off of the main road. this means you have to drive the side roads to find them. I used the map to get a general idea of where the missions are located...then I just drove every neighborhood road in that area.

  2. My Club isn't exclusively anything, but we are always looking for members. I personally drive almost exclusively muscle cars...in fact, I think the game doesn't have enough of them!

I'm still looking for people to shape the club into something bigger and better if you are interested and would rather not start your own club.

  3. As for HCM, I love it and would never go back to normal mode (Hell, I'd even seriously consider cheating my way to some money if I ever got low) Yes, the gravity isn't the most realistic of things, but it's not as bad as people make it out to be (Because they're so used to normal mode, which, to me, is not realistic at all)

But as I always say, it's a matter of personal preference. I, personally, hate normal mode.

The more I use HC mode the more I like it. But it's still terrible. The "floating" just drives me nuts. It IS more realistic that you actually have to brake to make a turn...not every car can make a turn at 150MPH! Still though, it just doens't feel quite right.

  4. I got so excited to actually see a new post. Nope...nothing even related to the thread.

I don't see anything about double posting in that link (or maybe I'm blind), and it's common forum etiquette that if a thread is more than a few days old you can bump it with a "double post".

  5. I'm looking for people to help shape my new club. This will be for TDU1 and TDU2.

...preferably people in North America. Scheduling can be difficult with the European/Asian/African time zones.

Welcome to the Black Flag Racing Club.

While eagerly awaiting the release of Test Drive Unlimited 2, I had been stumbling around the 'Club' section looking for a good once to join. I was met with several roadblocks: 1) location of members, and 2) user platform. I could not find a club that interested me enough that was laid back, mature, North America-based, PC-based...certainly I was being picky, but then again I didn't want to schedule myself around European time zones or play alone while the xbox/PS3 members had all the fun. Thus, I wanted to start a club of my own. B)

First and foremost, this club is laid back. I have been gaming for a long time now (since the late '80s) and have no need for serious competition or obsessive members. Secondly, this club is not strict; it is not an Audi-only club, it's not a drifting-only club, or a muscle-only club. I'd like to think I do a bit of everything...to limit Club members in that way I feel is a disservice to them. I also do not require mics, or teamspeak, or xfire, or whatever else there is out there. The forums are where we communicate and where we meet to schedule events.

What I DO want this club to be however is a place to form a community and just have fun! One of my most loved gaming clans was based around this motto and was one of the best gaming experiences I've ever had.

In case you are wondering where the name came from...yes, I took it from the '80s punk band which I love. However, it has a double meaning. I always lived my life against the grain, getting into mischief whenever possible. In racing the Black Flag signifies a punishment for somebody who breaks the rules. Rules are meant to be broken.

  6. I was in the same boat when I wanted to try the game out before buying it. You need a legit, BOUGHT copy in order to patch and play online. No way around this.

I have the game on Xbox. I dont wna buy it on pc to.. waste of money imo. Im not saying its a bad game but its just unnessesairy to have two of same game if you ask me.

Therein lies the problem and ambiguity of software "piracy"...but I don't think this is up for debate on this website. You either need to buy another copy, or play single player without the patch.

  7. You can't buy it because you must first unlock it during the game.

I know. But I was under the impression that I can buy it from another user instead of the showroom.

Anyways, I got 11/30 delivery missions done...slowly working towards it.

  8. I think that the GT-R is one of the rarest ones to come across. I also made the mistake of selling mine and it took a good while before I found another one. It's just a waiting game really, jump on the trade every now and then and if you're lucky, you'll find one.

That's what's bothersome. Why is it so rare? One of the coolest cars in my opinion and I can't even buy it? I don't really care about Lambos and ferraris...just annoyed. I hope I find one. :-D
