  1. You'll be pleased to know they managed to fix the hex editing car hacks, most of the hackable cars now just change into a Miami Fastback when you start the game with the exploration pack installed.

Not sure yet if there is a way round this, I have a theory as to why, judging from what I have heard affecting legitimate players, so I'll have another crack at it when the servers get flicked over, I'm doubtful whether it'll work, but I have lost too much to just sit back and not even attempt to remedy it. :D

  2. I wonder if T10 are going to shaft all the VIP's this time too?

The Super Sport is tempting, other than that, meh. But still, the Super Sport!

I'll get it just to have it, like I did with FM2, FM3, AssCreed2 and GTAIV. And RDR.... This Limited Collector crap is very costly.

Just noticed, RUF's are there :O

They dropped Porsche? or getting both? Either way, RUF is the superior of the two! No more painting Porsches into RUF's :D:D:D:D

  3. I based the 2CV off a pic I saw of the "Charlestown" version. Never heard of it before, but cool stylistic design.

Anyway, I only looked at the pic once then went off and did the design, now that I look back at it a bit, my version came out a bit different to how it should be, gonna re-try that at some point. :)

Slightly offtopic, but has anyone here ever been to Charlestown, Cornwall before? I spent most of my summer at the harbour in '06, then (regrettably) moved up to Manchester.

So much good memories from that place. I also once met Charlie Sheen there, although I was too young to remember it, my mum does, she also remembers him getting a friend pregnant. Little Charlie Sheens running around everywhere these days! (He was in Cornwall filming "The Three Musketeers" (1993), and some random trivia for you, when Lady Sebine jumps off a cliff, she became the first character in a movie released under the Walt Disney banner to commit suicide.)

Oops, gone a bit off-topic, I mean a bit more than I had intended.

  4. Not many games I have are split screen though, which never used to bother me.

But when my GF spends most of my xbox time nagging me to get more 2-player games to play together... (This is the only reason I have rtr.gifrtr.gifrtr.gifrtr.gif:Reach on my XBL profile.. ;P)

I know this isn't the correct thread for it, but can anyone suggest any good split screen games?

  5. Great shots bud. Fancy a cruise some time + photos?

Yeah man, would be cool. :)

I'm not on as often as I would like, but I'm semi-active. :p

Add my GT and I'll message you next time I'm on the same time as you. :)

  6. If you can't drive, you plain can't drive.

The only advice people can give to make them easier is change car, something that you can drive quickly. As for the license tests, anyone who struggles with them doesn't deserve to be on the (virtual) roads.

  7. Too late. Set up the redirection check - you know we all want you to. ;)

Yes, do that. That way this forum can be even more dead than it currently is.

The more people the merrier tbh, tdu2 forums may be crap but atleast they have life. Barely detectable life, but it's there.

They have atleast one new thread per day, where the subject matter is TDU2. This forum? Once in a blue moon, and you spend most of your time discussing the same crap with the same people, so you never learn any new perspectives on something.

  8. I thought it was more a case of flipping on your roof, than just 'losing control' in that car ;)

Strangely enough, it's the most drift happy car in the game. I think it's a tie between the Veyron's and the Caterham's for the most time spent on roof/scraping your scalp along the tarmac (in the Caterham's :P). They like to flip onto their roof after the slightest jump, very annoying in the Caterham up mountain roads.

  9. With my setting it feels this way anyway (imo), you have to do fairly minor turns with the stick though except for junctions and such.

Try this simple test, 2CV, Ibiza N-S Highway, find a flat straight, get to the amazing top speed of 66MPH (Stg4, less if less tuning), then quickly turn left right left right left right, keep going til you lose control. I can go all the way along without losing control, I bet you can't. :) Atleast not if you turn at the same speed I do. :)

  10. Noone even wants to take a guess on the "steering wheel smoothness from a controller" method? :)

Not surprised tbh, who wants to know a trick to a game that's already dead anyway.

With this trick though, everything is better, cruising is smoother and more precise, and you don't end up going sideways from quickly turning left right left right left right, and on and on.

Ohhh and it makes the indicators self-cancel feature work 95% better and it feels more natural turning left/right from a stop at a junction. (I bet atleast ONE person on this forum will be able to figure it out from this little writing, if not, then I guess things hidden in plain sight truly are the hardest to find. :)

  11. I have found another tactic to drive on this game, and it's so smooth in the steering, it feels like a steering wheel using a controller, if anyone can figure out what I have done, you'll get a nice surprise. :)

Using this, the cars are so fast through the turns, much faster than anyone playing normally. Much faster than I can even manage playing normally. :)

  12. Anyone else have the fear that it may have gone down a bit differently, more akin to how Mafia II pulled it off?

Incase noone knows, Mafia II was going to be a huge game, but then they cut literally over half the game away and just went with that. For all we know TDU2 could have been stripped down a bit to speed up development or whatever else they may benefit from less work. ;p

  13. A new publisher.

    Very close, but no cigar.

What TDU2 needs is to reverse time back to just after TDU1 was released on X360, then what needs to happen is Eden giving the idea (or selling it, whatever, as long as Eden is gone afterwards) to a far smarter developer. Then we be in good standing today.

In seriousness mode now, it seriously seriously needs something FRESH! It's really that simple, add more original ideas to the game and it will stand the test of time, TDU1 stood the test of time with very few features really, it was a very basic driving game (in principal), but TDU2 didn't bring enough fresh stuff to the party, and who wants to drink recycled beer?
