I was right then - that did sound dumb
-
Guys, this may sound dumb, but I've just realised... For everyone complaining about the 25 photo limit on Autolog, I just noticed that all photos taken, regardless of whether they're uploaded to Autolog or not, are saved in a folder called "Criterion Games" under the Pictures section of My Documents

Nuts. I've always wanted to drive the Viper and Cayman as a racer. Let's hope a future patch fixes this...
Anyway, to anyone who cares, my nickname in NFS HP is 1CarFreak1
-
;371117']That's because it had a 4-speed autobox and barely 200 horsepower. I rode in one once, when I was about seven. It was the first car I was ever in that had a manumatic, and that fact far eclipsed its performance.
Thankfully not around where I live! You'll find that a lot of things that have "a real following" over here only have it in places like Texas or the Midwest. Like this:

Just because someone made it doesn't mean it's not crap (yes, that is deep fried butter :p ).

Pure butter?? ewwwww

Ohhhhh lordy lord..... <crisis>
-
Yeah. The Camaro doesn't have any stripes :p
-
Hmmm, I would say the Prowler is neither a supercar, nor forgotten. I do believe it has a real following in the States.
The Venturi 400 though - that was in Test Drive 6! :D

T'was a special download for NFS III. There were 4 in total - this, the Jaguar XKR (the one in the regular game was just an XK8), the Lister Storm and the Ferrari 456
Spectre:
Jaguar:
Lister:
Ferrari:

Lol. That first pic looks especially epic :p

Very nice. Those were in Free Drive right? That's a feature I haven't tried yet.
Do you have any problems with the limit Autolog gives you? For some reason I'm stuck at 25 photos

Shift looked absolutely gorgeous and the cars sounded even better, but as a driving game, it was pants. Like the others above, I also really hated how much the cars bounced about (Eau Rouge in a Carrera GT was impossible - I gave up and simply straightlined it by going on the grass), not to mention the driving physics in general. Oh and drifting. And the best part is, I don't even own the game

Sorry for this post being one week late, but I just had to continue with the NFS theme... I present the Spectre R42:
http://i451.photobucket.com/albums/qq233/swinnyjr/SpectreR42.jpg
From Wiki:
He reorganized production, brought in the investors and involved Derek Bell as chairman. By 1996, selling for £70,000 each, the company only managed to sell 23 cars, a reasonable amount for a speciality car and then in 1997 the company fell into bankruptcy. The company would later return to develop a similar car called Spectre R45, which never entered production.
The chassis of the car is a monocoque and is made of lightweight material as of other parts of the car such as the suspension and body, which gave it the final weight of around 1250 kilograms (1.23 tons). The car is 4115 mm (13.4') in length, 1854 mm (6.0') in width, and 1092 mm (3.5') in height. The heart of the sportscar is a 4.6 litre (281 cubic inches) Ford V8 with 4 valves per cylinder which develops 360 bhp (268 kW) and 317 lb·ft (430 N·m) of torque allowing the car to reach 60 mph (100 km/h) in 4 and a half seconds and on to a top speed of 175 mph (280 km/h). The weight distribution of 42% at the front and 58% at the rear because of the mid-mounted engine makes it a very predictable car when driving it very fast. The wide tyres give plenty of grip in dry conditions. The race-style independent suspension, which is a shock absorbing unit, is fully adjustable, so as a result, it has a great ride quality and is very comfortable even at high speeds.
The very spacious interior of the R42 contains luxurious leather trims and neat Wilton carpets. Visibility is also very good compared to other mid-engined sportscar of that time, even of today. There is a good amount of luggage and storage space as well.
The R42 had a starring role in the 2000 Ian Sharp film "RPM" where it plays the prototype eco-friendly supercar that David Arquette has to steal.

I do hope I'm not too late...

Hi guys, I'm finally back from a prolonged absence due to exams... Bought this game when it was released on Tuesday and I haven't been able to stop since, it really is immense fun!
One problem I have though, and it is a pretty major one, since this is the game's most touted feature - how the heck do you use Autolog? Especially, how do you search for specific people to add to friends list? For those who know, my ingame nick is 1CarFreak1. Also, how do you access the photos you take ingame? I've taken several and would like to share them with you guys... Though to be honest, a 25 photo limit is waaaay too little.
And Diablo, everything you said there is correct

Man F1 2010 certainly does look good... The 2009/2010 cars are still ugly though :p
-
If you turn in to the corner at a reasonable speed, will the car still automatically drift? Or will it only drift if you tap the E-brake?
-
That's very nice. Really do like the hood vinyls

Alot are missing the point, and I am talking about what I see all over the web not so much here.
NFS HP is for the fun factor, racing, chasing , drifting & sliding around at speeds in excess of 200 (game) mph.
Too many are reading into it. I want a sim, I want customization, I want this & that.
Its a game like PGR, where you pick a car and haul buns, driving like a maniac.
If you are looking into it any deeper than that you will be disappointed.
If you like games like PGR, Burnout, GRID, you'll enjoy this one.
IF you hate those games wholla! your gonna feel the same about HP.
If anyone has even remotely watched the released videos showing gameplay it stands clear of what it is.
From one who has actually had a chance to play a slice of the game I still have my pre-order in place.
It's the kinda race game when you need to sit down, erase the day, release some aggressions, shunt & out-run some cops and put a smile on your face & feel good about it while your doing it.
A game with very little fustration & more fun factor, get it?
Nothing more!
The split screen thing is a let down, but it is what it is.
+rep.

Yes, yes you do ;)

Voted for Mb. Those cops getting hit by the car is pretty hilarious, especially the one on the left
Speaking of cops being hit...

Narwhal. I really appreciate when people try hard with vinyls

I can't think of anything particularly wrong with the game, except how easy it is to knock out the Panamera cop cars (and to knock out racers, as seen in one of the more recent trailers). The spike strip also seems pretty lame - even less of a pursuit-ender than it was in Carbon (I once popped all 4 tyres on my Skyline and still managed to get away)

I'm thinking NFS Undercover
