  1. Well, personally I haven't been in many cars that are particularly noteworthy, other than my cousins:

    -Formula Ford racing car

    -Mazda MX-5

    Uncles:

-Fiat X1/9 (which he has two of)

-Tarmac Rally prepped Fiat 124 coupe

    and a few others

Wow that is literally just one of these:

    WL Holden Statesman

Good old GM and their whacked out ways.

  2. Eric Bana is king, he is such a nice guy.

I highly recommend his movie, if you get the chance to see it do. It's amazing.

Even better for me because I live in Tasmania (where the Targa Tasmania is held).

You're right there :) the movie is a really nice piece of work and it appeals to anyone who likes cars :D speaking of that, I'm going to watch it now

  3. Not a bad list. ;)

Apparently Perth is one of the best places to see cars as theres some guy that photographs them for a career there. Although Tool never seems to see anything like that. :p

Heh yeah was okay. Its what happens when you go down the coast - people from Sydney are generally holiday-ing there. Also I was following the CLS for a good 70KM

  4. It was a BIOS one but it seems to be back on stock clocks from what I can see so it's all good.

Anyway I have come to the conclusion that it is my graphics card again and that I was given a faulty card. Basically I got out my old 8800 and thought there would be no harm in putting it in again just to see if it was the graphics card and what happened? There were no random defects or freezes or anything of that kind, it ran Borderlands flawlessly. (apart from a bit of a frame rate drop which is just because the 8800 isn't that great)

So I guess it's just a case of contacting BFG, setting up yet another RMA and sending it in and hoping to god I get a functioning card back! Saying that, I do think their service is top notch but it's just a bit annoying that I get another faulty card back, but of course it's not really their fault as it was brand new.

Anyway now that I have two power supplies, I will be selling my old one which is a "Corsair HX620w" and it's the professional series one, never let me down once in nearly a year of use either. If you do or know someone needing a new power supply I am willing to sell it for about £70 excluding postage as they are £97 brand new shipped at their cheapest. It has basically no marks on it and looks in new condition. All cables will be supplied as well as the original box and bag etc... :)

Sorry for wasting your money dude :ill:. These problems are usually the cause of a lack of amperage going through the 12V rail to something or other.. Anyway, enjoy the new PSU :D lol

  5. Get a 1000w PSU and you're fine. :)

That's not necessarily the best course of action. You could get a low quality 1000W PSU and yet it never will be able to produce that. If you get a higher quality PSU, say a corsair hx750 (which is 750W) then you will be much better off in the long run :)

  6. My Camaro when I had the LS1 in it got 15-20.

Now with the new motor, I get 9-13. I don't have a clue as to why this is. I mean, the crate motor gets pretty good MPG's when it comes to the Z06 but I guess I got unlucky. One thing that might be the problem is the computer settings. Maybe if I get it re-tuned then it'll get a few more out of there.

Might be running too rich? LS engines take a bit of work to get decent fuel economy

  7. Um your seriously miss-underestimating how big the call of duty online community is.

    Off topic:

    Well done shadow :)

But I have to agree with GTA.

Piracy with this I think will be a lot worse as less people are likely to want to play online so they will just get a copy from alternate sources. I myself have not yet cancelled my preorder as I am currently weighing up my options whether or not to do so ( plus im waay to busy to care about it ATM )

  8. Oh my you have a lot to learn if you think that they are not useful. They are in fact very useful from what I have experienced, as having them on the farm was invaluable :) I guess you just have to live with one to understand what I mean. They are particularly useful for tradesmen, especially in the city where they tend to be only a part of a small business.

In a way they (utes) can be considered a practical sports vehicle that can also be used to take the motorbikes to the track (which you can do easily & in comfort). They have many other practical and fun (;)) uses as well.. They're not there to just look/pose. Plus they will last forever (like 400,000km)

And whats with people calling Australia a backwards country? Australia is 2nd in the world on the HDI (human development index - a UN study [http://hdr.undp.org/en/statistics/]), ahead of both many major European nations, as well as the US. So stop incorrectly referring to Australia as a backward country.

  9. Thats why i recommended a AUII or AUIII by then they started to work some of the bugs & kinks out.

Still had most of the first series bugs however - my cousin's was an AUII and she went and bought a magna.. thats how bad it was.. lol..

@ Homer_Bart: If you're lucky your friend might be able to pick up a cheap BA XR8 or VY SS if he looks around :)

  10. Wouldn't get an AU Shadow - they can be notoriously unpredictable as my cousin has discovered.

Aussie cars are generally a large amount cheaper here then anything else. While they may lose value quickly, they will last above and beyond 400,000 Km if treated right. Both can go on gas, however its not recommended with the performance models. Getting a manual can be tricky, however not impossible - especially in the XR6/XR8 Falcon and SV6/SV8/SS Commodores of a few models back. Personally, for that money I would either go a BA XR6 Falcon (performance with slightly better fuel economy) or if possible a VY SS Commodore (much higher performance, slightly worse fuel economy). Both are guaranteed to last some time :) (I'm a holden man myself as most of you would know, and I haven't had any problems with my car). Wouldn't buy a volvo, as they get destroyed by the bad roads over here (my nan's 10 year old volvo is in dire condition), and they are extremely annoying/expensive to get repaired.
