  1. I don't think assuming that someone driving an automatic is uncapable of driving a manual, that is rather unfair. My Silverado is not offered in manual, however I seem to drive just fine, and can drive a manual if need be.

  2. Last I heard about it was that it could be mid-Engined!:eek2: Wheather thats true or not i dont know...but if it is then that kinda takes away what a vette is to me! And theres already a mid-engined US car...its called the Saleen S7!(Take that in mind Corvette!)

It was confirmed a couple of months ago that the C7 Corvette will indeed be a front engine, rear wheels drive car. The engine has also been confirmed, which is GM's new 4.4 liter V8 with Direct Injection. So, the mileage should be increased enough to make the CAFE people shut up lol. GM also stated to MotorTrend magazine that the design for the C7 has been finalized, however, they have not shown it which makes me sad.

They have already ruled out the mid engine idea. So that plus a new interior that is worth something would mean that no one will be disappointed lol

  3. We saw this yesterday. Quite rare over here :D

    -snip-

It still amazes me how different some countries are.

There are THOUSANDS of those things over here. I literally do not think that there has ever been a day in my life where I have been on a road and not seen one of those.

However, I have never seen an Alfa Romeo or a Fiat in person, cars seen all over the place over there.

  4. Clearly redvette77 has not seen this yet. I will await his arrival and speech.

You know me too well :)

Plastic is an widely mistaken thing about the Corvette. There is actually hardly any on it at all. But the materials themselves, while being better than plastic, are not very good, and there is no excuse for it. Just look at the interiors of GM's new products. The Buick Lacrosse, Cadillac CTS, Cadillac SRX, and even the Chevrolet Cruze have better interior quality than the Corvette, and all of them cost less. There is something wrong with that picture.

With a better interior, the Corvette would be a complete car. But as of now, it always seems as though it is missing something. A company called Carvaggio do AMAZING things with a Corvette interior. Send them any Corvette and they can set you up right. They put in proper seats, and cover everything in quality leather, from head to toe. It should leave that way from the factory though. You shouldn't have to spend 44-120k on a sports car, then go spend another 5-6k on interior upgrades.

Right now, I can think of nothing that really gives you more bang for your buck than the Corvette (or 2011 Ford Mustang). Both are very great for what they cost.

On a side note: I would really appreciate it if Chevrolet would release, at the very least, plans for the C7 Corvette before we are all dead and gone lol.

  5. Europe Vs America fight!!! :run:

    lol you makes me giggle.

But yeah at the end of the day, the ZR1 has the capabilities to compete with the SV. However, lets be realistic. When is the last time you saw a person considering an SV in a Chevrolet dealer being partially persuaded to buy a ZR1 instead? That's right, you never have. They are different cars for different people.

And at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is which car makes you smile the most.
