  1. Getting Gold should be difficult though should it not, unless you're doing the perfect line and/or have an over-abundance of power compared to your opponents then the time and the points total should just be about enough to achieve. Watching mells earlier he had 2 instances where he basically won it on the line.

Out of interest have you tweaked any of the controller settings or are you playing default?

I haven't tweaked any of the controller settings - only set to hardcore (now switched to sport and feel no difference) and manual.

Also, I noticed that while going in a straight line, if you so as much tap the stick to turn, the car becomes almost uncontrollable and you need to immediately let off the gas to regain control - even then, you're off your intended path.

Golding some challenges is damn near impossible for me (and I've never had a game seriously give me trouble). The raid RUF mission was a no-go for me. I tried upwards of 40 times to t-bone that Raptor and only to get them down to a 7. Only other point to catch up to him is when you can cut him off on the dunes again (at which point you're stuck on silver).

  2. I picked it up at midnight and played it for a couple hours. It started out well (story itself is godawful) and did a few of the driving challenges. Came back this morning to try it and it feels like it went from a 9/10 game for me to maybe a 7/10. Some challenges take me upwards of 25-30+ times to gold. I spent maybe an hour alone on the Ruf XFINITY challenge.

In manual mode, the shifts take too long. In hardcore, you can lose all your grip powering through a corner or landing a jump (losing control of your car). Anything you bump into will make you lose control (playing with gamepad). I can see the game employs catch-up - I was never a fan of that. The worse part is that you get points for being in first the duration of the race but it's only the last section that matters.

Right now the menus are too much, but I'll probably ease into them.

I'm on Xbox One by the way.

  3. Quick question.

Is it is possible to transfer and convert cars from Gran Turismo PSP to Test Drive Unlimited PSP? The car list is pretty dry for the PSP version and I would love to replace a few models in TDU with some from Gran Turismo.

  4. To be honest, unless you know very little about cars, then you wouldn't put 'Mustang' to describe the GT, and someone else will have proofread it before it went out. It could be a typo, but without supporting images, so could the fastback, saleens or spykers on the list

    >Implying the people who wrote the article know anything about cars or what the difference between a Mustang GT and a GT is.

  5. I don't think Mustang GT is a typo, I think that was the name of the coupe-version of the Mustang as it was in TDU1.

If you read the article it doesn't mention Ford GT, it only has pictures of it. I don't doubt it's going to be in the game but still, what it says in the article is a typo, I'm positive he meant Ford GT.

  6. Well, I haven't touched touched TDU for sometime now but finally decided to try it tonight. Over my period of inactivity for TDU I have transferred hard drives ( 20 > 60 ) and also had to switch 360's ( RRoD ). Installed the game and went straight to playing it. I noticed my hardcore mode was gone, probably because I still didn't transfer licenses and that some of my DLC cars were renamed, but the biggest error I have seen has got to be this, a Viper with Honda CBR 600 as the place name. I guess this shows that there were supposed to be more than what you see in the game, I wonder if the model was cut from the final copy.

  7. Here's my rig. It's a Gateway DX4200-07e the only add on being a 7800 GTX KO. I run TDU pretty well with no lag on high and 2XAA but whenever I change the option to HDR then it doesn't allow me to change the AA. Is this normal? Also, what is HDR?

    -AMD Phenom™ X4 9550 64-bit Quad Core Processor (2.20GHz, 2MB L3 Cache, 3600MHz HT3.0 Bus) with AMD64 Technology

    -Vista 64-Bit Premium

    -4096MB 800MHz Dual Channel DDR2 SDRAM (2-2048MB modules)

-640GB 7200rpm Serial ATA II/300 hard drive with 16MB Cache

-ATI® Radeon™ HD 3200 Integrated Hybrid Graphics with a nVidia EVGA 7800 GTX KO added on.

    -300W Power Supply

Is there anything I should upgrade?

  8. How do people do it? For example, how do people reach those ultra high top speeds, miles driven and longest drifts. The longest drift I had is 4.4 miles and that took me to #17 but how do people exploit the game and get 1,234,XXX? Do you need a modded PSP to do this? I also saw a high score drift at 41 miles. Would this be glitched?
