tickets (plus two others we met later in the theater
About the film:
Basically the plot is same as the TV version
In the beginning of the movie, there was a special interview of the America version movie from the 6 main CVs. And they mentioned there will be some scenes to be shown that were not included in the anime series because of all kinds of restrictions, at first I was moved by this announcement cause i already know the story, but in the end it turned out to be very few, and none of them are stoical scenes.
Still, even for me who watched the anime series already and again on the BD release, the film was stunning and fabulous
Huge applauds between the cut scenes and the end. Even when the movie ended, and staff screen popped out, all the audiences still remained at seat until completely finished. I have been to many movies in cinema before, and this is my first time encounter something like this.
Gossip: the whole film was around 4 and half hours long, in Japanese voice and English subtitle
BTW I didn't look at the subtitle for once from the start till the end 0-0
Gossip x2: we originally thought there would be free goods that come with the ticket (a printed sign board and poster), and others goods for sale, but they didn't have that in new york! later we learned that was los angeles exclusive (damn!)
We went there right after class ended, so we had plenty of time, went riding the Ferris transportation to kill time
(gari gari kun 0w0 found in a Japanese supermarket)
Now, I'd like to quote from a friend that went with me that night, she wrote
(As I rethink now, the thing that moves me the most, is not the plot (bcuz it was TV remake), but the shock of being in the cinema, audiences' applauds in the end, and the friend that went together, eat together, despair together, and share the plot together... even thought very despairing (I'm not quite agree with this), but it was a very precious memory OwO)
Oh, like my other reviews, here are the ratings

Plot
In the city of Mitakihara, a 14-year old girl named Madoka Kaname and her best friend Sayaka Miki are approached by a strange familiar named Kyubey. This creature offers a contract in which a girl can have any wish granted in exchange for becoming a magical girl tasked with fighting against Witches, manifestations of despair that are responsible for unexplained murders and suicides. Meanwhile, a transfer student named Homura Akemi tries to stop Madoka from becoming a magical girl at all costs. As Madoka contemplates becoming a magical girl, she learns that a magical girl's life isn't as glamarious as she thought and is filled with anguish, suffering and despair. Soon coming to learn the dark secrets between magical girls and witches and the burden it places on her friends, Madoka struggles to decide if there really is a wish worth risking her life for.
The spin-off manga, Puella Magi Kazumi Magica: The Innocent Malice, takes place in Asunaru City and follows an amnesiac magical girl named Kazumi who, along with a band of other magical girls known as the Pleiades Saints, starts to discover the dark nature of magical girls as she regains her memories.
Puella Magi Oriko Magica takes place in an alternate timeline to the main series, in which Homura, Mami Tomoe and Kyōko Sakura, along with a young orphaned girl named Yuma Chitose who was abused as a child by her mother, find themselves up against a magical girl pair, Oriko Mikuni and Kirika Kure, who are hunting other magical girls. The prequel story, Puella Magi Oriko Magica: Noisy Citrine, follows Kirka as she starts out being a magical girl and has an encounter with her old childhood friend, Erika.
