Porsche Pack Vol. 3 Switch
With not much time left until the final Porsche Pack for Assetto Corsa becomes available for those on PC, there has been a late announcement about a change to the contents in regards to the Porsche 911 RSR 2017.
Only recently revealed itself, the 911 RSR 2017 is a totally new car compared to previous iterations and in something of a first for the 911 range, it is mid-engined! Naturally Kunos want to faithfully reproduce it in the best way possible and so they have taken the decision to remove it from Porsche Pack Volume 3 so that they can spend more time on it.
They know this will come as a disappointment to many but they are not just removing the car and leaving an empty space to be filled later. No, they are replacing it with the modern 911 Turbo S that they say a number of their community have been asking for, even so far as to enquiring why it was missing in the first place.

As for the 911 RSR 2017? That will still come to Porsche Pack Vol. 3 as a free upgrade in January so it is not being lost.
I think it’s likely that the team have tried to get the car ready for its release but unfortunately it just hasn’t reached a point they are happy with and have taken the tough decision to pull it. Announcing this so close to the release reflects this to be more than likely and it is sort of refreshing to see them choose to do this. Plenty of others would release it as is and work on fixing it up later after all.
Hopefully players will see this in a good light and not in some ‘they are not delivering what they promised’ rubbish as they could have delayed the whole pack to until the car was ready.
