  1. Oh sweet!!!:D And please, when you complete exterior, release the beta with corvette's interior,I want mind at all!;)
  2. Neutral is useless for anything but idle sample. I record in 1st,2nd and top gear;)(for high revs),but it depends on a car. btw there's also a "trick" to eliminate unwanted sounds, just rename(to whatever) the folders which hold sounds you don't want to hear(like wind/road noise, tire screech etc) although for some reason you can't do that(it crashes) with the noises that come when you're going fast near objects(wooshies and such)which is really irritating and makes the job much harder...:-x
  3. What kurgan said, and then, you'd have to use a steering wheel with pedals(maybe it can be done with those analog triggers, don't know)to record a steady samples(from a view that sounds most realistic and has least amount of other noises other than engine) of ,say 10 seconds, for every thousand rpms including the idle and the top rpms if they're like at 6750rpm or similar. You'd also have to find a long straight(avoiding tunels or anything that alters the sound as you drive by),then stick it in 2nd gear(most likely. you don't want wheelspin nor high speed road rolling/wind etc sounds)),press the gas pedal full on and then dose with the brake how many rpms you want. That way the engine is under strain and the sound is full,if you were to do it from neutral, just by reving(dosing wit gas pedal ie not 100%gas on),it would seem flat and unrealistic(think of gran turismo sounds vs nfs for example),although I never tried pgr4 so I can't be sure, maybe it sound equally powerfull in neutral, but in my experience,it probably doesn't. Awaiting results;)
  4. Noticed that...oh well, you can't have everything all the time;) waiting for tuned editions!:D
  5. yeah??? cool!:) but what gallery do you speak of?
  6. Sorry mate, but haven't I just explained the problem with your wish in my thread? "You can't JUST put the samples onto another car's "sound skeleton" ,because almost every car has all the samples at different pitches and with different "spaces" between them(that's why it sounded "weird" to you). I could pitch shift them to fit another car,but pitch shifting distorts the samples and the greater difference between the original pitch and desired pitch, more the distortion and overall crappiness;). So that's why I won't do it like that. I would have to do it anew to get the same quality as this one..." The pitch of every sample(idle/low/mid/high)of the mustang mod is different to the pitch of every sample of the vanquish for example,so again no,you can't JUST put the sample over the other one and bob's your uncle, you'd have to pitch shift everyone of them and in the end it would sound much worse than they do now(and they now sound worse than the original in NFS already from all the tweaking etc). Clearer a bit?;)
  7. Camaro ftw...btw this wasn't such a bad idea that it seemed at the begining for some of you,it clearly puts in mind of a modder what is popular and what isn't...so new Camaro it is then:D...by tool...hehehe(that's just my wish, don't freak out!)
  8. "The Body styles"? It's not skin(texture) that you're putting on,but whole 3d model including the "skin" and it's called bodyswaping.;) The thing with the views was always a problem, but now it seems, with new tdu tools by Djey,it will soon be resolved!:)
  9. Ok,so focus is still wip and mazda 3 is ok,but not great.;) Right now, personally I've got more exciting cars to do than mazda3,but maybe somewhere down the line... mic recording?? yeah, like all my friends drive mustangs, ferraris, astons, lambos, supras etc...I don't know where you live, but if you can record those kind of cars, then please do so,I can't unfortunately...
  10. hehehe that's the spirit!:D I just remembered ,I did a virtual tuning a while back when the camaro concept came out and just after I picked up my jaw up off the floor! ...shuffle....ahhh here it is ,it's sort of inspired by cool birds and stealth planes(so American combo:cheeky:)! http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/camaro_tuned.jpg This is my last sort-of-off-topic(we are talking about muscle cars after all) post!;)
  11. Fugly? Come again? http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/camaro.jpg That's caRacist and you're wrong.:nanananana: Why would he worry??? btw. Don't treat him like a baby. p.s. This is for Djey ,for he's been a good boy and gave us nice tools to play with!(it is made to be put on cars with real 7000rpm redline(like gtr),but you will need to shift when you come to 6250rpm like on the real GT500KR.:) Tool ,you can put a link in the first post if you want to... http://rapidshare.com/files/237561733/gt500kr_gauge.zip p.p.s. Ok, you people too can DL it:cheeky: http://i261.photobucket.com/albums/ii67/markonious/gt500krgauge.jpg
  12. Firstly,I have no clue these cars are already made, that's why I've said what I said. link?:oook: Secondly, how on earth would you know what he meant when all he did was requested someone to make them??
  13. 14. @djey 1.I know that,I was just wondering if it could be circumvented by programing, guess not;) 2.ok,keep us posted:) Thank you man! (nuff offtopicness:p) @tool since this comes from nfs/juiced,have you thought about one or two "tuned" versions or wide bodykit or something?
  15. Hey man, thank YOU for making the awesome tools!:) btw I already have the mustang's hud on gtr.;) original sucked! :pirategold:Now 2 important questions for you regarding the sound: 1.Is it possible to "remove" the rev limiter on individual sounds,so for example as I did the mustang sound on the ford gt's skeleton,it goes up to 6500rpm(like ford gt),but when I want to put it on the gtr which goes up to 7000rpm ,the sound stalls @6500. Is it possible to program that whatever sound you use, that it always uses the limiter of the current car that's on,or maybe even manualy entering values(like top rpm)? 2. This one is easier:oook:,to choose for yourself which car gets or looses the turbo. If these two options are doable, combined with your camera position work, tdu would be much nicer experience for moding and you could bodyswap onto almost anything you want, regardles of default camera positions/rpms/turbo or no turbo...ahhh:D...can it be done?:ill:
  16. you welcome.

    1. They are both done(as concepts I think),but poorly, specially the camaro(unfinished). I'd also like them both ,to battle it out with the gt500kr(made by Tool)!:D
    2. Why when there is no mazda3 or focus st in tdu?? errr I did just that(tuned, stock sounds boring(in nfs))... http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=11159
    3. I don't have specific samples and these are pretty damn close,so I don't think I'll make special version when the engine(gt500kr) is sort of mix between parts of mustang gt and ford gt and that's what this sound already is...maybe I'll just experiment with supercharger whine...not promising anything;) You can't go higher than a specific car's rev limit, only thing you can do is to bodyswap mustang onto some other car that revs higher.ie. put the mustang over xkr, then put my ford gt sound over xkr's and there you go,6500rpm with "supercharger effect". regarding gr1's sound,I started with that sound when I made mustang gtr/clk dtm sound,so if you want, you can put gt500 over gtr and put that sound and then you'll have 7000rpms(that sound goes up to 7500). btw ford gt sound tops at 6500rpms ,so puting that sound on something that goes over 6500 means sound stalls at 6500 although the needle goes further. Hope this clarifies things a bit.:) I DLed that, and those are basically samples of car accelerating and that's useless in tdu. GTA just "plays" the samples, whereas TDU's sound engine uses constant(at certain pitch)samples which then transposes up and down through the scale/pitch/rpms and mixes them on the fly. Starting from idling sample through low,mid and finishing on high(sometimes even very high)sample. That's why it's rather tricky making the sounds for tdu comparing to gta, you've got to have steady sample loops of certain pitches throughout the rpms and for that you also need to hear tones so your transitions from idle>low>mid>high and back(off samples) sound natural. In a nutshell,it's anything ,but easy ,making good quality sounds...
    4. Please ,don't insult my sound.:cool: It's gonna get angry ,you wouldn't like it when it's angry!:cheeky::twisted:
    5. I made them, that's the best kind!;) I'm not selfish,so here you go. http://rapidshare.com/files/237206262/noble_m14_F_01.bnk Try the supra on m14 with bov, pretty sweet if you ask me.(and close to vid in 1st post) Anyway, you can use it on what you please and also ,you don't have to like the bov(put you own,you have the bovless version),I happen to like it,so I don't feel it needs to change.:nanananana: p.s. That supra guy in the vid is hilarious!:D
    6. That's actually really close to my mustang/ford gt sound, try it out.
