  1. No no no.... lol I think you miss understood me. I mean it wouldn't be that hard (or so I think) I mean all u need to do is animate 4 wheels (on the trailer) and make the trailer like "a hard deck".

Then the cars would be "locked" down.

Sorry what is this dripple? "that would be a lot of work having to do complete animations involving loading the trailer, unloading the trailer, for each car, at every house and every possible dealership, tuner shop, paint shop, vinyl shop and every other place possible, with every possible combination of paint,wheels,vinyl....etc etc for both the tow vehicle and the car being towed"

What animations r u going on about? All they need to do is create another vehicle (aka a trailer) could be a simply one like the picture in my original post.

Why do I need it? Well I'll ask you something, is this like a "simulation game"? Or would u class is as a arcade? Personally I find this to be a "Driving" simulator and I don't know about you but when I go to local race days I don't see many people turn up IN the cars their gonna race, many bring several cars but to the point the race car or in this case (A classic car we bought from a deal or what ever) you would use a tow vehicle to take it to it's location, after all this is a driving sim and shouldn't just be based on going fast... and so forth....

But that's my 2 cents and my opinion... :D

    Cheers

you do understand that they WOULD have to create an animation for each car, both going on and off the trailer right? and an animation for each car being towed by the tow vehicle, right? remember, there are 2 different islands in TDU2 and 2000 miles of roads.and a reported 208 cars in the original game. now since the scenery at each of the ONE HUNDRED HOUSES will be different in some way, they have to compensate for that, along with a scene of each car at a dealership being loaded onto a trailer. now some people may want to take the car they just loaded at the dealer and drop it to be tuned, painted etc etc. that is a whole new animation right there for each location and each individual car at that location.

you get the idea yet? it is not a simple thing to "just throw in". getting the animations right would take a lot of time. and as CLR-GTR pointed out, the physics of towing this trailer are a whole new issue to deal with.

and as i told you before, this is a game about DRIVING the cars, not towing them around.

and no, this is not "dripple".

  2. that would be a lot of work having to do complete animations involving loading the trailer, unloading the trailer, for each car, at every house and every possible dealership, tuner shop, paint shop, vinyl shop and every other place possible, with every possible combination of paint,wheels,vinyl....etc etc for both the tow vehicle and the car being towed.

but really the question is why do it in the first place? this is a game about driving the actual cars, not towing them around the islands. if you dont want to drive the new car home, wait to buy until you are ready, or teleport it to your house.

sorry man, would never use it, and honestly i hope the developers spend their time getting the physics perfect, or work on the environment

  3. ummmm.....try that here in Utah, we tend to hit the brakes,REALLY hard. then you get a ticket for driving to close, and the cost of repairs goes against your insurance, along with any medical bills and other lawsuits.

not a very friendly thing to do, i must say.

  4. so your saying that you WANT to be driving down some road, notice a fuzzy little squirrel doing a jig, and whip out your Nokia Camera phone...in game....to take a picture?

what exactly would be the benefit to this? there is no doubt that some type of communication system would be great to have. but we dont need a camera phone in game.

  5. yeah, he could have driven thru the fence, except that the fence would still be moving back and forth when the cop gets there. its not moving at all. and i am pretty sure that if the person drove thru the fence, it would have taken some of the cars paint off and been stuck to the fence. seen that happen numerous times in collisions.

also, while they dont show it, dont you think the cop got out of his car and checked the fence or looked for tire tracks to try to figure out what just happened? i guarantee i would

  6. it would be interesting to see if they use some of the farms with their dirt tracks as races. and i would love to grab a Jeep or some other 4x4 and go blasting thru some of the forests on O'ahu that most of our cars really could not enjoy properly. best thing about including O'ahu,if true, is the amount of off road terrain that would become available, plus, hopefully, getting to rally the Gumpert or the SSC down the Cadillac Speedway on O'ahu.

and everyone wants more tracks right? this would ensure at least 2 tracks would be available.

  7. a few of the mentioned vehicles, like the Ram SRT-10 and the Saleen truck would be interesting. i know when it came out, the SRT-10 was capable of hitting 165 mph, without having Hennesy messing with it. so it could be sort of a sleeper vehicle.

as for Quads and the sort, dirt bikes definitely belong. if they are smart they will incorporate some of the better Enduro bikes that do so well on and off road. but Quads.....while fun, i would rather see some of the "new" side by sides http://www.polarisindustries.com/en-us/ATV-RANGER/2010/Side-By-Side-Vehicles/RANGER-RZR-4/Pages/videos.aspx they would even work perfectly with Diablo's PassengerCam.

  8. the problem with stuff like vinyls is that one mans treasure, is another mans garbage.

sure, there would probably be some very talented artists who could work wonders with it, but then there are the rest...the ones who just throw them here there and everywhere. how often do you think we will be cussed out when some kid asks what we think of his stuf, and we dont like it?

and what about the comment The Queen made, about ruined cars in the market?

imagine you are in a prestigious club, and you just got the club exclusive car. how will you feel if someone takes it and slams vinyl all over it?

if they do this, they better include a way to completely remove it. of course, the best way to remove it is not to include it in the first place.
