  1. i have to disagree about NFS HP2. I had a lot of fun with that game, and still one of my favorites.

HEYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!! i reached 100 posts and now i have 4?!?!??!?!? come on mods!!!!!

never, EVER "brag" about your post count in here

  2. i agree. i personally HATED the zero gravity effect of Hardcore mode. so i refused to use it. because of that i get called names and people refuse to cruise with me because i'm an "arcader" and "cant handle HC like the Big Boys". oh well, not my problem.

yeah, i know a lot of people want to claim that HC is more "lifelike".......really?

the stuff i witness people doing in game with HC is most certainly not lifelike in any way shape or form.

  3. James Bond fans with deep pockets will soon have the chance to get their hands on the ultimate piece of 007 memorabilia, as the martini-sipping, daredevil spy's Aston Martin DB5 goes up for auction next month.

The sleek silver sports car, driven by the British secret agent played by Sean Connery in "Goldfinger," kicked off the gadgetmania for which the Bond films, based on Ian Fleming's novels, later became known.

The DB5 being sold is factory-fitted with gadgets including the machine guns, revolving number plates, oil slick sprayer and smoke screen that helped 007, aided by Bond Girl Pussy Galore, outwit gold smuggler Auric Goldfinger in the 1964 blockbuster.

  4. this gives a little more detail about the release.

"Atari, along with developer Eden Games, announced today that the initial phase of its closed beta testing has begun and an elite group of dedicated beta testers have been chosen to help ensure Test Drive Unlimited 2 delivers the ultimate blend of exhilaration, open-world racing and luxurious, fast-lane lifestyle living. Test Drive Unlimited 2 will make its way onto retail shelves in Q1 2011.

With TDU2’s patented Massively Open Online Racing system, closed beta testers will be immersed with day/night cycles, changing weather and automatic updates of new content. As they help shape a revolution in multiplayer racing communities, players will compete, team up, and share their achievements and creations online.

In addition to racing and customising your character, players can participate in one of the largest and most comprehensive social multiplayer driving experiences through the creation of clubs comprised of friend networks that players build along the way.

Closed beta testers have been selected based on their knowledge of the racing genre, passion for video games, and gaming system requirements. The closed beta testing phase is based on the PC version of the game. Atari is still reviewing and confirming users’ eligibility and will invite more testers to this elite group via email with a download location and instructions for the closed beta client. All closed beta testers must agree to a non-disclosure agreement and complete the full beta application process online."

  5. in the PC version, you can move the cars around using the list and swapping cars from one garage to the other. go to a garage, select list, find the car you want and right click it. the cars name should be in red now. it cannot be a car you are "driving" currently, those show up in yellow on the list.

now find a car from the other garage, the one you want the first car to go to. left click it,and the swap should be done. only works if that garage has cars in it to begin with.

as for filling the "newest" garage, it seems that the garages get filled in the order the houses were bought. so if you bought 3 houses at once, with a 4 car house being first, a 6 car house second and a 10 car house third, the cars will go to the 4 car house first

  6. The lack of news has also made IGN do odd things:

See the updates of 8 and 9 September? Click them :p

If they'd just freakin' publish that hands-on review they did... I bet we'll get it after TDU2 release ¬¬

well, guess my old age has caught me. i dont see these updates in there.

i see 2 for goldeneye,1 for resident evil,1 for guitar hero and 1 for lego star wars. all dated for the 9th

  7. no point to it really. i'm positive it wil not be in the game at release, and if it ever becomes DLC it would only work for those who downloaded it. personally,i would never install such a thing, as i see no benefit to it. its a game, not real life.

honestly, i dont see where the fun of it would come from. you want to penalize yourself for wrecking one of your cars? where is the fun in that?

  8. would someone please explain to me just how they think they would EVER find time to thoroughly test that many bikes?

narrow that list to one or two per manufacturer and you would still have way too many bikes to enjoy properly.

you guys need to think in terms similar to TDU1 and its bike list, with mA and mB class rankings, then narrow the list down to the ultimate bikes to fill those slots.

not saying those are official classes, just a safe bet on my part that stuff like that will carry over to TDU2

  9. monstro, remember something...its just a game. non gamers would say that we waste our lives playing games in the first place when we could be out doing something with friends and family. if this kind of thing brings out such animosity in you, i hope nothing truly bad ever happens to you or your loved ones.

lets put this in perspective here, as many similar posts have been made here and at the tdu2 forums. IT IS ONLY A GAME, a way to pass time. none of us will ever get paid for playing, in all likelihood it will never help us get that dream job or meet our "Soul Mate".

it is just a habit, a hobby, a diversion from the every day nonsense. nothing more, nothing less.
