Ok well now it seems to do it when this happens: I click on "challenges" on the map, it proceeds to say "Connection lost" and right when I click on OK the game freezes.

Any ideas?

I do have a legit copy.

Delete the Radial.cdb file (use TDU Modding Tools 1.15 to do so)

I think that did the trick! Played for about 45 minutes with no crashes!

Will see how it goes from here on...

EDIT: Actually it still does it...it takes a longer while to do it now but it will freeze. This time the sound doesn't loop when it freezes...

Well that sucks there must be another alternative...I don't understand why it's doing this but in any of my other racing games.

Hi guys

This started happening a while ago but just posting it now...during gameplay the game will just suddenly freeze. The sound does loop but then just cuts altogether.

I can exit the game by doing ctrl-alt-delete in Windows 7 and then going to task manager.

I have reinstalled the game to no change...

This happens between 30 seconds of playing the game and possibly up to 5-7 minutes.

I installed Windows 7 since I got some new PC parts, then installed TDU, and then the TDU megapack.

Although now that I'm playing I notice that I do not have any of the megapack features...the new cars...the new dealers, etc.

So I went to install it again and :

What gives? :(

That's for illegal copies of the game.

Oh...any other ideas, then other than reinstalling? It's such a PITA :D

Insert your TDU CD.

 

Right Click > Explore, or Open

 

Look for any IGE Files.

 

Just copy those into the TDU directory

Hey guys

I reinstalled TDU because I reinstalled my OS aka formatted and then reloaded my saved game and all was well. Then I went to do some challenges and found that every time, no matter what challenge I chose, it always transported me to some location on the grass and it was messed up.

I recorded a video of it happening to show you guys what I mean. Sorry that the video quality isn't the greatest but recording full screen at a good frame rate is hard. You'll get the idea, though...

Next time you should keep a backup of your savefile in a USB stick, my comp crashed 2 times wiping out my save game and since then I kept making backups

Yea I have the TDU Tool Kit now.

Well I tried what you suggested. I copied my TDU folder in My Documents to my desktop, started TDU, closed it again, and then copy/pasted my files back into the TDU folder in My Documents. It still doesn't work and all I'm greeted with when I open TDU is this:

I think all my saved game progress is gone because in my saved games folder there are two "playersave" folders. I delete one or the other and the game is still the same. I started a new game when this happened to see what would happen and I think now I'm really screwed.

Yes the TDU folder is still there. I haven't done a system restore...it's kind of late to do it now I would lose tons of stuff that I've done over the past few days. Is there any way to get TDU to import my saved games?

You have to be joking me...

Stupid TDU was being slow again so I restarted my system which usually solves it all. But this time was different. I started TDU again and tried to get into the game as usual, but now instead of being able to click continue game, it's greyed out and it looks like I have to start from new.

Please tell me there is some solution to this this is pissing me off. I was so far along and there's no way I'm going to play again if this is permanent.
