  1. Add or Replace Car Noob here at TDU-C. Wanted to know if you are only able to replace cars vs add new ones. Also, along this same subject, does the modded car have the same driving properties as the one it replaced? Or will it have the properties of the modded cars (ie: replace Audi TT with Bugatti Veyron), I haven't tried to make any changes yet, trying to see if its worth the time to download and install all the great modded cars listed, magic map, tools.
  2. Watching movies is not a problem, blueray or DVD movies will play. What is the resolution of your TV? 1920x1080? or 1366x720? I tried to play on a smaller TV @ the 1366x720 resolution and it worked but it was connected using the 15pin RGB cable. My 65" TV does not have a 15pin RGB port so i was using the HDMI port.
  3. Per Tom's Hardware, the 3870 is alittle better than a 4670 which i have so you should be able to max out everything 4X AA and HDR on @ 1920x1080. Only thing is the FPS will be around 25-45 which is just about the minimum. Lower the resolution to 1680x1050 and the FPS will go up to 45-60 which is very good.
  4. Reply to "How good is my setup?" Your video card is maxed out. I have a Radeon 4670 with 1GB RAM and it will play TDU at 4X AA and HDR turned on, Resolution is 1920x1080 but it plays at a maximum of 25-45FPS which is about as low as you want to go. My GTS-250 plays at 55-75FPS and my GTX-260/Core 216 plays at 80-105FPS. Your processor/memory/HD is not a limiting factor. You will need to upgrade your power supply to use any of the video cards above. The Radeon 4670 does not require an PCI-E power connector but I had trouble with it unitl i upgraded my PSU from 420w to 500w. The GTS-250 requires 1-6pin PCI-E connector and the GTX-260 uses 2-6pin PCI-e connectors, I have a 750W PSU for these. Hope this helps. PS: forgot to include my System: CPU is Phenom II X3-720 BE OC'ed to 3.7Ghz, other is Core2duo E8400 OC'ed to 3.7Ghz, both with 4GB DDR2 1066 RAM, HD's are 150GB Velociraptors or 143GB 15K SCSI.
  5. Has anyone tried to use a large LCD/Plasma TV for their monitor? I tried using the HDMI connection on my GTX260 video card and the screen just went black. Windows 7 / XP Pro works great, just like using the smaller computer monitor and i can watch videos, surf web, email, etc. Only when i start TDU does it go black and i have to reset the computer. TDU works on my 22" LCD computer monitor at 1680x1050 with AA @ 4X, HDR on. (I get 75-160FPS with these settings). Tried 2 different systems (AMD 720BE @ 3.8Ghz, 4GB ram, 150GB Velociraptor and 500GB WD Black harddrives, XFX GTX-260, 750W PSU. other system: Core2duo E8400 @ 3.7Ghz, 4GB ram, 143GB 15K SCSI HD, EVGA GTX-260, 750W PSU). Tried a Radeon 4670 in the AMD system and even that didn't work. Updated to 1.66A and installed Megapack. Not using any other patches yet since i've been unable to get it working on the 65" TV. Controller is Logitech Momo wheel. Monitor is 1080P and windows is running at 1920x1080. Also tried different Nvidia driver versions with no luck. Mellors: Thanks for the tip, this work great and i now have TDU running at 1920x1080. Note: I had to lower the resolution in TDU using an LCD computer monitor first to 800x600, shut down the computer, hook up my TV, fire up TDU and change the resolution to 1920x1080 after the HDMI connection is reconized by the TV (takes about 20 seconds on my TV) so buy the time you see anything you are looking at the Main Menu "start new game", "continue", etc
  6. I found this great place after trying the atari forums which couldn't help me get the game running. After looking around here, i found everything i needed to get the game running and a whole lot more. To Djey, you seem to be "the man" yeah! I'll be trying some of the mods soon after i get my second system running where i test things before running on main system.
