  1. Nice job. But... Except doing a simple re-texture of TDU A6 gauges /and bragging about your 2000€ gaming PC/ you actually didn't do nothing with the model? And no, doing new black rims for A6 doesn't classifies your mod as a proper new 3D model. You shouldn't post this over here, Interior/Exterior mods is much more appropriate forum than this...

In addition to v1.0 of my Winter Day mod, which have that lovely snowy feeling (http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?t=15771), here comes a special version that has all that, plus few twists into it, to make things a bit more spicy, and more enjoyable.

With Maciuk's permission, I was able to incorporate his awesome fog/night settings into this release. With previous 3 types of weather, we got additional 3 for ultimate winter feeling. Now we can enjoy in driving not only on a beautiful snow day, but under heavy fog (my favorite), light fog, or even at night too!

    Q&A

But, Weather Mod by Maciuk already got all those things? What's so different in this release?

Weather Mod by Maciuk is weather tweaking at it's best, but it's not intended for winter driving, unfortunately. It was written for summer/autumn setting, and IMHO, doesn't go very well with Opelos_HUN Crazy Winter mod.

That's why I decided to make a custom weather .ini specially for Opelos winter mod. I'm happy with the end result, and I'm hoping you will like it too as well.

    What's new in v2.0?

    - height of grass/bushes is 20% smaller,

    - 3 new additional weather types (powered by Weather Mod by Maciuk),

    - slower time change,

    - other minor tweaks.

    Bugs?

    - Sorry, no improvement on this level. Bugs are the same as in v1.0. That means main map is still covered in fog. And you even may encounter more of them. That's the small price to pay in order to have weather like this...

    Requirements?

    - TDU Crazy Winter Edition 1.5B by Opelos_HUN,

    - HDR must be off.

    - Adjust your game brightness settings to low values.

    Optional

    - Snowy Tires for TDU by EyeKatcher ,

    - Snowy Tyres Enhaced by felix97,

    - iLLusion Snow Tyre Chains v1.1 .

    There's three versions included:

One with Night>Morning>Afternoon>Snow Day, second with Morning>Afternoon>Snow Day>Night and third with Snow Day>Night>Morning>Afternoon time cycle.

So, what you waiting for? Go and download it!

    DOWNLOAD on FileFront

    Enjoy!

  3. You guys seriously need to stop whining about the gauges, no mod to my knowledge has EVER had them perfect.

I wanted to type same thing. Tool was kind enough to release this cool mod, and they are acting like lil crybabies. I mean, wrong gauge that show 20-30 km/h more is a big problem now?

Stop boring us all with your whining and just enjoy in it. Nothing is perfect in this world, get used to it... ;)

  4. @Leadfoot[YT]

Ah, I didn't get it. ^^ Thanks for explanation. ;)

Wait, you can actually see snowflakes? I didn't see any snowflake in TDU yet... :crying:

    @Ozzmcom

Nonsense? XD Explanation on how to install is well explained on earlier pages, so there's no need for me to type same things again. It ain't my fault they can't be bothered to read whole topic carefully if they have problems. Or better yet, how hard can it be? Download, extract, copy-paste, replace all and play... and above all, enjoy in snowy TDU. :D

Instead you calling me a ''tough boy'', it would better be if you try and help them by copy-pasteing same answers over-and-over. Can you handle it? Or you just being cool for calling me a ''tough boy''. Wow, you so cool man. :p *clap clap clap*

  5. I must ask it again - how hard can it be to install this cool mod? Simply download files, extract to desktop, and then simply copy them to Bnk folder and replace your old files. And that's it! That's the whole damn thing. It's not a rocket science, for God's sake...

I noticed that mostly new (or innactive) n00b members with 3-20 posts have problem with installing this snow mod. And they expect for Opelos_HUN to come here, and read all those spam *crybaby* ''uuu, this isn't working'' posts, and try to help them? I mean, c'mon people, if Opelos spend last few months of his life, of his own free time, making this mod for our community, then at least you can do is to give him rep/say thanks. And above all, try to use your damn brain and a bit of logic when you try to install snow.

Sorry for being a bit rough with my post, but I'm tired of numerous n00bs asking ''what's wrong'', ''this isn't working'', etc. when this mod works 110%.

    Peace and love...

  6. I just checked names too, and yes, they are working. :D

    btw.

Are you ready for this? Let me hear you say yeaaa... :monkeydance:

Here are some teaser screenshots for my next version... powered by Maciuk Weather mod.

As I said, for this version I used Maciuk Morning, Afternoon and Night settings because they are awesome and I couldn't make better settings than that on my own. Unfortunately, I can't release it to the public... yet. I'll try to get in contact with Maciuk to talk about permission. It would be such a waste if I couldn't release this baby. Let's cross our fingers for a Christmas release... :santa:

  7. I'm happy you like it! ;)

I tried to achieve good contrast between road and world and keep it white as much as possible. That was the main reason I decided to make this mod. Driving on snow with other weather mods out here gived my non-satisfactory feeling because they all make grayish look of snow, something I don't like. Like I said, they are good mods, but for a summer themed Oahu. Winter Oahu is a completely different story.

There's about 3 types of weather in total (marked as Snow_Day_1, S_D_2 and S_D_3), and all of them got fog. So there might be light blue sky, a white sky and a combination of light pale yellow color. There's no night, no sunny bright blue sky, etc. in this version, unfortunately. What you see on screenshots is what you get. I might include it in my next weather mod. It depends on how well I can combine all these types. But I don't make any promises.

Haha, like a jungle, good one. :D I noticed that too, but it don't bothers me that much. I'll make them a bit lower in my next version.
