  1. i created a guide on the interesting places of TDU that shows how they can be rached. many of them has a map and a demo picture. the places are divided into 8 sections: pebbly sites grassy grounds golf courts airports lighthouses low detail terrain bugs misc at the end there is a description on going underwater and usage of bookmarks. it has 2 languages: english and hungarian (i am from Hungary). it is accessible here: placeguide.atw.hu

  3. the creators of the game made a restriction that some cars cannot be painted in the deluxe (custom color) paint shop, only in the ordinary paint shops that allow only the factory colors (that you can choose in the showrooms). i dunno why, maybe it was part of the deal with the car manufacturers. later a mod called Bling Bling Mod came out that removed this restriction, allowing all cars to be painted with custom colors. later the unofficial 1.67 patch came out that also had the restriction removed.
  4. there is a chance it wont work.
  5. you should work for your cars (by playing the game). it ruins the experience if you start with loads of money and everything is granted. if you "create" a new profile and enter the name, tick the GameSpy ID and enter the email and pass then you can connect to the online profile too (assuming that the save itself is intact).
  6. i dont know how this works but i have a theory: Atari disabled the CDkey and want you to confirm the email address by providing those data to them again. by their perspective possibly someone hijacked your email account and wants to gain the CDkey like this, and if the hacker had hijacked your GameSpy account too then they could play online. if you send the mentioned personal information to Atari again then maybe they will give you a new CDkey. this is still just speculation, it would be good if someone familiar with the system showed up. anyway if you submit information make sure it goes to the official address and not some phishing site.
  7. at the bottom of the page there is a "Help / Support" link. you could try writing to them from the email account you used at the purchase.
  8. no, (similarly to most games) if the previous user went online ever then you wont be able to go online with the same CDkey because it is tied to the GameSpy profile (and obviously the previous owner wont give you their GameSpy account).
  9. to help people having problems with receiving the activation email: i registered with a mailbox provided (for free) by a minor company and didnt receive the email. then i changed my address in my profile to another one that is hosted (for free) by another minor company and still didnt receive it. i checked the spam filters with both mailboxes. other than that they work fine because i am able to receive ordinary emails, its just that sometimes they have a problem with system genarated emails. then i changed to Gmail and i received it in about 10 seconds  so in conclusion you have a better chance receiving the activation email with a major well-established mailbox provider
