Hello modders,
Just a little comment :
I'm preparing an install of a combined 'Island Paradise', 'Nature V8' and 'HD V1.0' and as I like to know what the installers do, I just went through the .pch files...
In fact if you want to combine several mods using the auto installers, you may have problems as it installs the files in the requested order (let's say the order I mentioned before). So it will install the required FX.ini of the island paradise, then the one of the Nature mod, then the one of the HD mod...
Stop me if I am wrong, but in this case, the final FX.ini is not containing the correct parameters for displaying Island Paradise or nature ressources (ie GRASS settings)...
In my case, I had to compare the FX files to gather all correct settings for different mods I want to combine.
In most of the cases using successive installations will work if the files are different. But as we are playing most of the time with the same files (the ones that change environment), it can induce some unwanted results.
I certainly don't want to criticize anybody or DJey's installer, just want to underline this point to anybody who would think it's just click and play with modern installers...
So, for the modders who now give a smart installer (which is a VERY good thing) : maybe it would also be interesting to list all the files that will be installed and in which bnk they will go.
