btw i'm thinking to work on a third version off that. I want to improve the whole sound more and more to bring out a perfect diesel sound. : )

but the SLR 722 sound mod sounds really strange at shifting on the highest rpm ^^

i cant edit it in the sound files directly

so you have to modify one file in your Database folder

 

DB.bnk

 

open the TDU Modding Tools program and select Vehicle Manager

then select the CLS AMG and set the Suoercharger value to "none/other"

press Set and save. this will remove the turbo sound.

 

but don't forget to backup your DB.bnk!! :)

can you make 5k rpm version like a real diesel!?

 

made a new onhigh sound which sounds much better now.

but have to make some other changes in the "off" sounds

you cant play online with custom physics, thats the reason why the game crashes

but the car accelerates a bit to slow (think, cause the physics dont work online) and a fine camera position would be nice. :)

 

little suggestion by the way: i would give the brake lights more LED power. :)

well i just checked the sound and in my opinion it's very good as my first finished sound mod. so i decided to release it now.

i know i should work on the AMG Sound but i just had to try this one out.

sound just like how a diesel should sound. ^^

 

EDIT v2: well i edited the idle sound and made much better "off" sounds

maybe i will take a couple of minutes tomorrow to check all again and will release it then

well im currently working on a E280 CDI Sound which sounds very good in my opinion, much better then the AMG sound

maybe i will upload a preview soon

onlow and onmid are similar to each other, but i'm testing some other samples and ideas.

 

but i have a problem which i cant solve.

when i put the sample into audacity and cut it to the original length and export it as a wav file, audacity always put a small piece of silence into the end of the wav file.

that means, that the sound stucks and it is not smooth.

 

but i'm still progressing : )

Hi guys.

 

Well i tried to make my own sound and it worked pretty well.

Only the "offlow", "offmid", and "offhigh" sound is from the Chrysler 300C, but i will try to make a better one.

 

I also changed the brake sound. That sounds a bit more realistic then the GTA4 brake sound.

 

hope you like it. it's my first mod. :)
