In fact I wanted these effects to be disabled so that anyone using the sound mod would have them silenced without having anything to do. But as Djey pointed it looks to be impossible, it must be a setting in that mysterious xmb file. I tried to replace some xmb files by others with no secondary effects but then I had a blank sound so I gave up. However, it's not a problem in general to find a similar bnk without the effects enabled, in replacement and that's what I do (also sometimes it is possible to higher the sound volume of the sample so the lousy effects are almost not noticeable anymore). @Wagner : About the stuttering I think Djey answered better that I can do (I really don't know why it happens and I thougt the only solution was to use another bnk to import the samples like someone already did long ago for the defaut Ruf sounds who had this problem too). Thank you very much for the help guys.

released Doctor G - Peugeot 206 RC sound
Doctor G. replied to Doctor G.'s topic in Car Customization Mods
Thanks all for your comments (except nasty Emir13!). I know this isn't the ultimate sound mod but I found it nice enough to be released, even if it is far from sounding as furious as in the video source (I think it is due mainly to the slow shifting in TDU). Sorry Bimmer but I have no idea on which other car to use it (also, you're right about the g25 I guess, I wasn't too sure about what vulkanizer said). -
released Doctor G - Peugeot 206 RC sound
Doctor G. replied to Doctor G.'s topic in Car Customization Mods
Now these are well-balanced comments :O Very helpful and interesting... But I don't give a damn if you think it's bad, it's your right. I care about WHY you think it's bad, nuance. However, I'm not sure you if make a difference between "this is bad" and "I don't like it". -
None of these are ok, engine is either too low or too loud (you really think I can do something with the 4th link?)... I wouldn't open a thread to find good sources if I could make a sound mod from such material. Conclusion : I don't need 5 bad videos but just one, a good one. Here is a beta version from the "best crappy video" that I've found so far : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuaEbMROhBg The sound of the engine in the original video is much better than in your links and the mod is still average (maybe a beta release soon). EDIT : Video has been deleted by mistake. EDIT : RELEASED VERSION HERE : http://forum.turboduck.net/showthread.php?p=354567#post354567

released Doctor G - Ferrari F40 sound mod
Doctor G. replied to Doctor G.'s topic in Car Customization Mods
I'll try to work on the LM sound from the scratch and will upload a new version eventually. Here's the link to the beta anyway : http://www.filefront.com/17274162/F40LM-beta-TDU-sound-mod-by-Doctor-G.zip/ -
This one uses only 6 samples... The low rpm's are not fantastic because, as the car never goes slow in the audio source, it's really hard to make something that sounds convincing. I made 2 versions, a normal one and another with the breaker contact noise that you can hear in the original video (just for fun, it's not accurate at all and cannot be) plus I added some exhausts, for a total rally experience :p (Uses the Alfa Brera bnk) Source : http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x1i14w_criterium-83-2007-es12-206-rc-gra_auto Sound mod V1 : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCL820eMqn8 Sound mod V2 (breaker noise & exhausts) : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RxboGAGcd2A Download : http://www.mediafire.com/?ppv3opi6o665str Thanks for your feedback.

What kind of stuff are you smoking exactly? It's still a non-default car and that's all what matters, 599x or 666z or anything... Seems like it's impossible to have a normal conversation with you. Now if you think you can judge about the quality better than me then do it yourself with your little hands and stop polluting this thread with your fruitless presence.

released Doctor G - Ferrari FXX/Maserati MC12 sound mod
Doctor G. replied to Doctor G.'s topic in Car Customization Mods
I posted a new download link. It was so hard to get stable samples from that video... I never want to make another FXX sound... This is true, but TDU uses the same samples for both exterior and interior view, so don't ask for the impossible... To me, it sounds almost like in the video so mission accomplished. -
The reasons are told 6 posts above yours (you ever read the other posts?) plus I don't have to justify myself anyway, the title is explicit enough, or do I have to use enormous red capital letters? I'm really thinking about closing this thread once and for all now... Just 2 or 3 more posts like that and I'm done with it, seriously.

Thanks! What do you mean by "adding more top sounds"? I don't get it. To add a turbo the sound mod must be re-made with another bnk that uses turbo.

released Doctor G - Audi R8 V10 sound mod
Doctor G. replied to Doctor G.'s topic in Car Customization Mods
Ahah maybe but as the title says it is just a ballad not a time trial! Besides this, it is the style of driving that makes easier the creation of the samples so I wish I could find more stuff like this. Thanks all! -
I'd like to remove the secondary effects from the sound mods that I make (like transmissions, turbos etc.). I don't want to silent these effects by replacing their sound samples with blank ones in the common.bnk file, I need those to be disabled directly from the bnk (if it is a setting that depends on the bnk, which I don't know). I don't want either to use another bnk in replacement to remove the effects, I want to keep the original one. Anyone knows how to do that?

Sometimes I have this issue when I make a sample for the idle sound, it looks like it depends on the bnk used, I'm not sure (I currently have this problem with the Gallardo SE bnk). I get something like a flanger effect applying on the sound when I listen to it in TDU and also some kind of slight echo sometimes, making the sound cavernous and ugly ; I don't have this effect when I listen the same sample in the audio editor where all sounds fine. Anyone knows why this happens and how to fix it? Example : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CPEZEirOrN4

First of all, I really appreciate your efforts to post a complete set of sources for all the samples that I need to do (startup, idle and onboard). it's not something that everyone thinks about and it's too bad because they leave it to me in general. I'm not sure I can do something with the first link but I'll give it a try anyway. Now, if you really want to, you can keep trying to find a good source for a regular Esprit V8 sound, I would be glad to work on this one. Sorry man but this is not good for me, too low-fi. No good either. Nope. I don't want people to post for non default cars. I know it happened before but not now it's over, due to the excessive amount of rubbish posted (also, I don't support those who modify the specs of the cars online and I don't want to deal with different redlines etc. that I don't use myself). Ok, I still make sounds for non default cars but I find the sources by myself, and I only do it because the real good quality that I would need for the default cars is so rare that sometimes I just cannot resist to make any sound when I find something truly exciting. AHAHAH this is the best of the year! I don't like the F430 in TDU, it's easy and boring and I never drive it, so I'm not motivated to work hours on it plus I'm still waiting for a KICKASS source (of a REGULAR F430). Thanks all.

Source : Sound mod : Download : http://www.mediafire.com/?bd82kf6fh5joaz9 Thanks for feedback. Note : This sound isn't designed to be used with an existing mod, so if you use different redline or anything just revert to default settings or use another sound mod.
