  1. On a couple of the car delivery missions, I have experienced a small loss in "Driving Points" even though my car never went off road and never hit another car. This is bad since you get a huge cash bonus :p for a perfect delivery mission (so I usually only complete such missions if they are perfect ). One mission that this has happened on is the "Pete" delivery mission for a Shelby Cobra Daytona Coupe (blue with white stripes) which starts in downtown Honolulu. This mission has you drive to the north side of the island, passing through a big mountain tunnel about 2/3 of the way through. Unfortunately, twice now, my car has gotten (just slightly) penalized just a short distance after the tunnels for no apparent reason. :crying: I figure there must be a glitch in a certain section of road there that cause the damage. Have others encountered the same problem? Anyone find a way to avoid it? Thanks.
  2. Good tip. An alternative is to just rename those four files. Then if you want them to work again for any reason you can give them back their original names. Is there a way to eliminate the title screen, too? Or, at least, force it to use a different resolution? I have my desktop set to 1900x1200 and the TDU game is set to the same. However, the title screen is at some lower resolution and it (I suspect) is what is occasionally causing my Windows desktop resolution to switch to a lower resolution. (Then, it's a hassle to rearrange all my desktop icons again.)
  3. "P" works, thanks! (Plus, if you Pause during a car delivery mission, the model of car you are driving will be displayed!)
  4. I was wondering if there is a way to quit a single-player race (or other mission) early (or at least re-start it)? I've tried different key presses on the PC, but to no avail. I end up having to wait for the time to expire or, for events with a driving quality score, purposely drive off-road to deplete the driving score. :( It would be useful to quit a challenge early for those times when you really mess up at the beginning and don't want to wait to try it again. I haven't tried any of the "super challenges" yet (the ones that go 80 miles or more), but it would take some time to wait for the race to be over if I've lost any hope of finishing. Thanks.
  5. I guess you're right, there are different colors for differently-sized roads. For a while I thought that it might mean that you'd reached a higher speed on that road, but that's not the case. In fact, I now notice that there are at least three different shades of blue, the darker colors indicating "larger" roads.
  6. Something that I've been wondering about for a while... On the map, roads that have been explored are colored light blue (or dark cyan, if you prefer), but some explored roads appear as dark blue, mainly some big highways (but not all the big highways). Does the dark blue color mean anything or is it just a graphical glitch? Thanks.
  7. Thanks for the feedback, everyone. It's good to hear that one's profile shouldn't be affected by the upgrade. (Though, I'll take the advice and make a backup, just in case.) I think I'm going to get the Megapack. BTW, here's the link to the page at atari.com for the Megapack, in case anyone was wondering where to find it. (I found the link in another thread in these forums a few days ago.) http://www.atari.com/games/test_drive_unlimited_megapack Depending on where you live, the download may or may not be available. I noticed on a few other games at the same site, that the download wasn't available for me. (I'm thinking of getting Moonbase Commander from the same site for only US$5, too.)
  8. Hi, I just joined the forums. There was a glitch in the registration problem I'd like to report. When initiating a registration, there is a multiple choice quiz where the user is asked to click on one of four pictures based on a description. However, none of the pictures appeared; only the same placeholder text was present where, presumably, the pictures should have appeared. Refreshing the images didn't help. It was possible to continue the registration process only by guessing randomly. Thanks.
  9. Hi, just joined the forums. I noticed that the Megapack download from Atari is now half-price, only US$10. At that price, I am considering buying it. For those who have it I had a few questions. 1. Is the Megapack worth it? 2. Will my existing online profile be ruined if I install the Megapack now? 3. Are any of the cars in the Megapack of type G? (I really like the old, classic cars.) Thanks.
